Fotoxx change log
=================

2012.08.01  v.12.08
+ Menus now show a popup descriptions if the mouse dwells on the menu.
+ Auto-synchronization (indexing of new image files) was made optional.
If disabled, metadata edit and search functions are also disabled.
These can be restored at any time by synchronizing the image files.
+ The size of a printed image (in centimeters) can be set in advance.
+ A 1-click sepia coloring was added (aged photo effect).
+ If Linux standard trash and desktop trash folder both fail (possible
with some distros) give the option to simply delete the image file.
+ Painting and scrolling the gallery window was made faster.
+ Navigating the gallery window to other directories was simplified.
+ A gallery from an image search or collection can be discarded and
replaced with a directory gallery using a toolbar button.
+ Bugfix: Edit Collections: keep the gallery window scroll position
stable when adding or removing images from a collection.
+ Bugfix: If the initial gallery window is list view (no thumbnails),
then the gallery window displayed only a blank window.
+ Bugifx: Crash if a retouch function is "painted" with the mouse and
and the function is canceled before any change is made.
+ Bugfix: Show RGB [clear] button cleared image tags but not the dialog.
+ Web site was changed from squarespace.kornelix.com to kornelix.com.

2012.07.05  v.12.07.1
+ Bugfix: World map loses the mouse connection and becomes unresponsive
after a left mouse click/drag is used to zoom/pan the map image.

2012.07.03  v.12.07
+ Tabs are now used to switch between the image and gallery windows.
+ List Geotag Groups by country, country/city, or country/city/date.
Nearby dates can be grouped together. Click a listed group to get the
corresponding thumbnail image gallery, view or edit images from there.
+ Click a location on a world map, get the corresponding image gallery.
+ Several small UI improvements in geotag edit and report functions.
+ Bugfix: edit collection: removing images was sometimes not possible if
some images still in the collection had been deleted from disk.
+ Bugfix: memory leak if successive images are viewed in rapid sequence.
+ Bugfix: Art > Dots treatment was destroyed when saved to a file.
+ Bugfix: crash in Open Recent File if the first file had been deleted.

2012.06.17  v.12.06.2
+ The Spanish and Galician translations were updated.
+ bugfix: crash following use of Batch Add Geotags function.
+ Bugfix: stop unwanted gallery window from appearing when the control
key is used to link mouse actions to the main window.

2012.06.01  v.12.06.1
+ bugfix: version check for exiftool failed for locales having a comma
decimal point instead of a period (e.g. 8,60 instead of 8.60).

2012.06.01  v.12.06
+ The Spanish and Galician translations were updated (as of v.12.05).
+ Package exiftool version 8.60 or later is now a requirement.
(this translates into Ubuntu 11.10 or later)
+ New: List geotag groups (city, country, date, image count), click on a
group to show a thumbnail gallery, click thumbnails to view or edit.
+ Added and revised geotag locations were separated from the download set,
to make them easier to keep when changing computers or Linux releases.
+ Geotag search for "null" can be used to find images with no geotags
(also within other search criteria such as date).
+ New: Voodoo retouch function improves most images with one click.
+ Thumbnail files are now .jpeg instead of .png. Initialization after a
new install is about 40% faster, and thumbnails are 1/3 as large.
+ There are now three thumbnail options: no thumbnails, thumbnails in the
image directories (as before), or use a designated thumbnail directory.
+ Flatten Brightness: prevent "color bands" in monotone bright areas.
+ Rotate function user interface was improved and made more responsive.
+ Keyboard shortcuts can be revised and new ones added by the user.
+ Stop popup messages from getting hidden behind other windows.
+ Block "save to file" if an edit dialog is active (unpredictable result).
+ Edit history log was moved from EXIF:EditStatus to EXIF:ImageHistory
because this is the de facto standard.
+ Metadata reports were changed to use EXIF tag names instead of tag
descriptions. These are needed to directly edit metadata.
+ Slide Show: added continuous loop option (last goes back to first).
+ Trim: new option to start automatically for each new file opened
(work through a batch of new photos more quickly).
+ Trim: new convenience button to do rotate and return to trim.
+ The [prev] and [next] buttons pre-load the next file ahead of need.
This can speed-up sequential viewing of images on a slow computer.
+ F11 toggles main window to full-screen (no menu/toolbar) and back.
+ Bugfix: geotag retrieval failure with photos from some cameras.
+ Bugfix: Keyboard shortcut T (for Trim) caused a crash.

2012.04.21  v.12.05
+ Geotagging and reporting was added. Geotags may be entered using city
names, with substring matching. Click the wanted city from multiple
candidates. Multiple images can be processed rapidly. Batch processing
is also available. Search images by city [country] or within radius of
a given location. Output is a gallery of clickable thumbnails. Select
locations to assign or search from a world map. Database has 3000+
cities and others can be added as needed from a web geocoding service.
+ Search Images function was simplified. Searching by date, rating, tags,
comments, caption, filename, geotags, and any other metadata is in one
GUI with buttons to select the unusual options.
+ Bugfix: captions and comments with imbedded quotes were causing some
metadata edits to fail (do nothing).
+ Bugfix: stop GUI lockup if window is resized by user while panorama or
other composite function is still computing.
+ Bugfix: stop paranoia if an image directory is read-only and thumbnail
subdirectory cannot be created - just leave out the thumbnails.
+ Bugfix: GUI was too difficult to view and edit the same collection.

2012.04.01  v.12.04
+ Select Area by color tones is almost 2x faster with less flicker.
+ New: Erase an object by overpainting with selected background.
+ New: Vignette Tool: change brightness or color in a radial pattern.
+ Art > Tiles: an optional 3D depth effect was added.
+ Edit Pixels: do area edge blending same as other edit functions.
+ Gamma Curve: buttons [++] etc. added as in brightness/color curves.
+ Select Area: "tweak" mode added: nudge an edge line using the mouse.
+ White Balance: slider added to adjust the impact from 0 to 100%.
+ Gallery window navigation was made a little more flexible.
+ First time startup: initial thumbnail creation and image file indexing
is 2x faster (2000+ images/min. on a strong PC with 4 cpu cores).
+ New: Help > Log File: view the current (live) log file.
+ Memory allocation failure: no crash, exit with a reasonable message.
+ Bugfix: rare crash when a concurrent edit function completes.

2012.03.14  v.12.03.2
+ Bugfix: Select Area / Finish: crash in cairo. This is apparently a new
bug in gtk3/cairo which affects some distros (but not current Ubuntu).
Fotoxx was changed to avoid the problem: remove calls to gdk_flush().
This can make Fotoxx appear to "freeze" during Select Area / Finish.

2012.03.04  v.12.03.1
+ Bugfix: Select Area: cancel button did not kill the Finish process.
+ Bugfix: Retouching a zoomed image caused temp. change in aspect ratio.

2012.03.01  v.12.03
+ Mouse-driven area select and edit functions respond much faster.
+ The internal image format was changed from int-16 to float-32 per
RGB color. This simplified the code and made some edit functions
slightly faster. There is no visual image impact. The main memory
needed to edit a 20 megapixel image has grown to about 800 MB.
+ The exiftool program is started as a server process and left running.
This eliminates a significant startup delay for every image opened.
+ Indexing of new files at startup was made much faster: typically
1-2 seconds on a strong PC if only a few new images are found.
+ A toolbar button is used to change the mouse-drawing color for select
and edit functions. Similar buttons on many dialogs were removed.
+ The pixel edit function was made easier and faster to use.
+ An edited file can be saved in the additional formats .bmp and .ico.
+ Setting the zoom ratio was simplified: each 2x zoom is 1-3 clicks.
+ Create Blank Image: the file type can be .jpg, .tif, .png, or .bmp.
+ The E-mail function was removed because Thunderbird and Evolution do
not work (or no longer work) with the "standard" xdg-email protocol
for attachments. Use Tools > Batch Convert to select images, export,
and reduce size (if wanted) for attaching to e-mail or uploading.
+ Bugfix: If the top image directory was set to /home/<user>, thousands
of unwanted files in /home/<user>/.thumbnails/* were being indexed.
+ Bugfix: Stack/Noise image alignment was poor if there was significant
  camera movement between photos.
+ Bugfix: Progress monitoring for some functions was very inaccurate.
+ Bugfix: some .gif files produced empty thumbnail images.
+ Bugfix: file synchronization at startup was sometimes wasting time
  with unnecessary updates.

2012.02.01  v.12.02
+ Fotoxx was converted to use GTK3 and Cairo. It will no longer build
or install on older Linux releases lacking these libraries.
+ Multiple (up to 10) top image directories are now supported.
+ The gallery thumbnail size is saved and restored across sessions.
+ Bugfix: crash if an image present 2+ times in a collection is removed.
+ Bugfix: crash in slide show "jaws" transition.
+ RPM packages are built using Fedora and rpmbuild instead of alien.

2012.01.04  v.12.01.2
+ Italian user guide was updated.
+ Swedish translation was updated.

misc/libreoffice: Disable unit testing

Some of the libreoffice unit tests, for example system fonts, require
additional and currently unidentified dependencies to run.  As a
result, Libreoffice will build outside a clean environment but fails
to build in pbulk chroot or Tinderbox.

With this new patch, libreoffice builds cleanly in Tinderbox.
The modified patch probably makes no difference but it's kept because
the configuration is known to build in a clean environment.

editors/Sigil: Return patches to unix CR; use another method

Some platforms will automatically convert DOS endings to unix endings
during the extraction of a zip file.  Those that do this can't use
patches with DOS endings, so revert the last commit.

Instead, copy textproc/FlightCrew package's method:
For each file that will be patched, strip any DOS endings found after
extraction.  If they've already been stripped out, that's fine.  It
guarantees that every platform will strip the target files at least
once, allowing all of them to use Unix line-ending patches.

emulators/b-em: Upgrade from version 2.1a to 2.2 (Fixes zlib 1.27)

Version 2.1a is not compatible with zlib 1.26+.  Luckily this problem
was fixed in version 2.2.  Three patches were removed, and a few were
tweaked.

src/linux.c and src/win.c now have dos line endings.  I used the
technique seen in textproc/FlightCrew to convert these to unix
endings after extraction.  That should allow this package to build
on all platforms where zip handling of line ending differs.

Also defined GPLv3 license.

emulators/openmsx: Add <cstring>, fix *way* leftover file

Several files needed the <cstring> include for functions like memset.
Additional, Tinderbox caught this error:

The package was installing a symbolic link from /usr/local/bin to the
destdir!  Luckily this feature is switchable with a variable.  Fixed.

Import ruby18-taglib-0.5.1 as audio/ruby-taglib.

Based on the excellent TagLib C++ library, which is fast, full-featured
and mature. In contrast to other bindings, this one wraps the full C++ API,
not only the minimal C API. This means that all tag data can be accessed,
e.g. cover art of ID3v2 or custom fields of Ogg Vorbis comments.

Updated print/diffpdf to 2.1.1

(ryoon)

2012-08-11 17:57:39 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 2.1.1

Changelog:
2.1.1

- Tiny bug fix to make sure that the help file is in the right language.

2.1.0

- Dragging and and dropping files from Windows Explorer, Thunar, etc.,
now works (at least for me, on Windows 7 and Xubuntu).

- Updated Czech translation from Pavel Fric.

- French translation from Pierre-Alain Bandinelli.

- German translation (and many suggestions) from Rainer Krachten.

- Translations should "just work"; i.e., if you use a French locale then
the user interface and help text should appear in French. However, you
can force DiffPDF to use any language it supports by using the
--language command line option (e.g., --language=fr). If an
unsupported locale or --language option is used, DiffPDF will fall
  back to English.

- Now support -h as a synonym for --help.

- Initial path defaults to home directory instead of DiffPDF's
  installation directory.

- Improved the Options dialog's layout.

- A subtle bugfix to the --words command line option.

- Fixed a crash: clicking to set a margin when there're no PDFs loaded
  now safely does nothing.

2.0.0

- Can now have comparisons exclude text that's outside user-specified
margins. This feature was sponsored by a company that prefers to
  remain anonymous.

- Save As can now save images as well as PDFs.

- Minor bug fixes and improvements.

- Command line help (--help) will no longer work on Windows. This is to
avoid a spurious console window appearing. I've put the output in the
  online help though.

- Improved dock window handling so that docks can now be stacked on top
of each other (useful for small screens).

(agc)

2012-08-11 17:43:48 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Import dhbitty-20120812 into the Packages Collection.

dhbitty is a small public key encryption program written in C.  It
uses elliptic curve Diffie-Hellman in the form of Curve25519 to
establish a shared secret between two users, and uses that secret to
symmetrically encrypt and authenticate messages.

There are no private key files; only passphrases.  Never lose that
pesky thing again.

Both the sender and the receiver can decrypt a message.  In fact,
there is no distinction between sender and receiver.  Both passphrases
must be strong.

There is no signing.  A similarly useful form of authentication occurs
using only DH.  dhbitty attempts to be as simple as possible.  It is
not optimized, but achieves a comfortable speed for most uses.  It
does not use floating point numbers, or integers longer than 32 bits.
It does not contain more algorithms than are needed.

Example

This is how Alice generates her public key with dhbitty:
$ dhbitty generate alice_public_key.txt
username:passphrase (this is visible!): alice:Keyfiles be damned!
Done.

Bob will do the same thing:
$ dhbitty generate bob_public_key.txt
username:passphrase (this is visible!): bob:Bob's Spectacular Passphrase
Done.

Alice will publish her alice_public_key.txt, and Bob will publish his bob_public_key.txt. They can now access each other's
public keys. (But they should be careful that Eve cannot surreptitiously replace either public key with her own!)

Alice wants to send files to Bob. She packages them into a .tar archive (or any other type of archive with timestamps), along
with her message. Then she uses dhbitty:
$ dhbitty encrypt bob_public_key.txt files_to_bob.tar files_to_bob.tar.dhbt
username:passphrase (this is visible!): alice:Keyfiles be damned!
Done.

Alice sends files_to_bob.tar.dhbt to Bob. Bob will use dhbitty to decrypt this archive:
$ dhbitty decrypt files_to_bob.tar.dhbt files_to_bob.tar
username:passphrase (this is visible!): bob:Bob's Spectacular Passphrase
This is the public key of file's secondary owner:
0002f02b318c307bac07f3148a33c975cea04b79a870f0a5c7771cd38cc1986e
Done.

Bob can verify that the public key dhbitty just gave him indeed is Alice's public key. He unpacks the now-decrypted archive to
access the files Alice sent to him.

In practice, Alice and Bob should use a system like diceware to pick passphrases, in order to be confident of their strength.
Seven words picked using diceware is a good choice.

(agc)

2012-08-11 15:43:13 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Import zsync-0.6.2 into the packages collection.

zsync is a file transfer program.  It allows you to download a file
from a remote server, where you have a copy of an older version of the
file on your computer already.  zsync downloads only the new parts of
the file.  It uses the same algorithm as rsync.  However, zsync is
designed for file distribution, with one file on a server to be
distributed to thousands of downloaders.  zsync requires no special
server software - just a web server to host the files - and imposes no
extra load on the server, making it ideal for large scale file
distribution.

Client-side rsync - zsync runs on the client side, thus
avoiding the high server load associated with rsync.

Rsync over HTTP - zsync provides transfers that are nearly as
efficient as rsync -z or cvsup, without the need to run a
special server application.  All that is needed is an
HTTP/1.1-compliant web server, so it works through firewalls
and on shared hosting accounts.

Handling for compressed files - rsync is ineffective on
compressed files, unless they are compressed with a patched
version of gzip.  zsync has special handling for gzipped
files, which enables update transfers of files which are
distributed in compressed form.

Updated lang/chicken to 4.7.0.6

(asau)

2012-08-11 09:31:26 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to Chicken Scheme 4.7.0.6
Requested by Aleksej Lebedev in private mail.

Changes since 4.7.0:

4.7.0.6

The stability (-st) branch is now the official branch for point
releases, so the -st suffix has been retired.

- Security fixes
  - on 64-bit machines the "random" procedure no longer truncates result
values (which caused very nonrandom results for very large values).
Note that random shouldn't be used for security-critical code.
- Core libraries
  - tcp-connect now closes socket on connection timeout
    [thanks to Jorg Wittenberger].
  - Ensure srfi-13 string comparison returns a boolean, fix bugs in
xsubstring and string-xcopy!, and add a test suite.
  - Fix off-by-one error in pending finalizer code which could lead to crash.
  - Exceptions signalled by code that executes in finalizers will now
be caught and do not propagate upwards into arbitrary user code.

4.7.0.5-st

- Build system
  - LLVM gcc and clang can now be used to compile the system.  Previously,
building with LLVM produced binaries that would hang and use 100% CPU.
Fixes compatibility with OS X 10.6 and later.
- Core libraries
  - symbols with a single-char print-name were not always properly escaped
    when printed readably (#772)

4.7.0.4-st

- Core libraries
  - "with-input-from-file", "with-output-to-file", "with-input-from-pipe" and
"with-output-to-pipe" now properly restore the standard input/output
ports in case the body thunk escapes
- Build system
  - Fixes for port tests
  - C_TARGET_INCLUDE_HOME fix for cygwin

4.7.0.3-st

- Core libraries
  - fixed bug in reading of octal escape in string literal
- Compiler
  - fixed erroneous optimization of toplevel assignments in the presence
of conditionals (found by Paul Colby and Mario Domenench Goulart).
For example, this had printed "undefined" and now prints "good":
      (define A #t)
      (define B 'undefined)
      (if A
          (set! B 'good)
          (set! B 'bad))
      (print B)

4.7.0.2-st

- Core libraries
  - port-procedures now check correctly for argument-ports being open
    (thanks to Peter Bex)
  - fixed irregex overlapping charsets problem (#636)
- Runtime system
  - fixed handling of "inf" floating-point predicate for Solaris
    (thanks to Claude Marinier)
- Core tools
  - "chicken-profile"
    - fixed broken percentage calculation (thanks to "megane")
- Compiler
  - the "-uses" option handles whitespace in unit lists given on the
command line (thanks to Santosh Rajan)

4.7.0.1-st

- Build system
  - The default target library name for an installation configured for cross-
compilation is now "libchicken" and independent on any particular
setting of PROGRAM_PREFIX/PROGRAM_SUFFIX (thanks to Otavio Salvador)
- Compiler
  - Fixed incorrect optimization rules for some fp-rounding and fixnum operators
  - Unused arguments in callback wrappers were incorrectly optimized away (#584)
- Core libraries
  - Fixed bugs in "make-pathname" and "normalize-pathname" (thanks to Jim Ursetto)
  - The reader is now more consistent when parsing symbol- and keyword names
that are fully or partially escaped (thanks to Kon Lovett)
  - Fixed a bug in the Windows implementation of "file-type" (thanks to
    Jim Ursetto)
  - Fixed a bug in the implementation of "current-milliseconds" that could
    result in integer-overflow
  - Fixed an incorrect type-check in "list-ref" (thanks to Sven Hartrumpf)
  - Fixed bug in "string->number" that caused out-of-range characters to
be accepted for base > 10 (thanks to Jim Ursetto)
- Foreign function interface
  - "int32" was not properly detected as a valid foreign type (thanks
    to Jim Ursetto)
- Syntax expander
  - Fixed a bug in the processing of extended lambda-lists (thanks to Peter Bex)

print/foo2zjs: Remove bad dependency check of dc

The package assumes that if the dc program doesn't support -V, it must
not support -e either.  This is a bad assumption; DragonFly supports
-e but doesn't support -V.  Rather than try to fix a bad conftest, just
remove it completely.  There's a previous test for dc presence.  If dc
doesn't support -e, let it break during the build rather than before it.
It doesn't take long to build.

Note: Nobody that uses git from pkgsrc can install this package.
It conflicts with security/heimdal which is sucked in by dependencies

  pkgsrc/sysutils/mtools: Makefile distinfo

  Log Message:
mtools-(at least)4.0.17 tries hard to configure and conditionally set types
to use 64bit file offsets where available for seek()ing etc. However, the
easy case (sizeof(off_t)>4) is handled incorrectly: mt_size_t is set to
size_t - maybe a copy and paste from the fall-back-to-32bit case.

This type is used at least in init.c, when detecting media size and comparing
to the FAT geometry, consequently failing and erroring out with the message
"Big disks not supported on this architecture."

The patch does handle the (e.g. NetBSD) case of 64bit off_t the same as
the case where a off64_t is available (and the other 64bit off_t-equivalent
cases); namely using off_t as mt_size_t.

Thanks to riastradh@ for pointing out where the bug in llong.h was.

Problem 2: DragonFly doesn't have base libintl.  This package will

Solution was to convert existing SUBST_SED into a patch and expand

Sub::Exporter is an incredibly powerful module, but with that power comes
great responsibility, er- as well as some runtime penalties. This module

all they are doing is picking exports, but use Sub::Exporter if your users
try to use Sub::Exporter's more advanced features features, like renaming
exports, if they try to use them.

Note that this module will export @EXPORT and @EXPORT_OK package variables
for Exporter to work. Additionally, if your package uses advanced Sub::Exporter
features like currying, this module will only ever use Sub::Exporter, so
you might as well use it directly.

Adding new package for Perl5 module Pod::Elemental version 0.102362 from
CPAN into textproc/p5-Pod-Elemental.

Pod::Elemental is a system for treating a Pod (plain old documentation)
documents as trees of elements. This model may be familiar from many other
document systems, especially the HTML DOM. Pod::Elemental's document object
model is much less sophisticated than the HTML DOM, but still makes a lot
of document transformations easy.

In general, you'll want to read in a Pod document and then perform a number
of prepackaged transformations on it. The most common of these will be the
Pod5 transformation, which assumes that the basic meaning of Pod commands
described in the Perl 5 documentation hold: =begin, =end, and =for commands
mark regions of the document, leading whitespace marks a verbatim paragraph,
and so on. The Pod5 transformer also eliminates the need to track elements
representing vertical whitespace.

Adding new package for Perl5 module String::Truncate version 1.100600
from CPAN into textproc/p5-String-Truncate.

String::Truncate handles the simple but common problem of long strings and
finite terminal width by eliding or truncating parts of the string from the
left, right, middle or both ends, respectively.

Adding new package for Perl 5 module Dist::Zooky version 0.10 from CPAN
into devel/p5-Dist-Zooky.

Dist::Zooky is Dist::Zilla's nephew. He has the ability to summon his uncle.

dzooky will try its best to convert a distribution to use Dist::Zilla. It
supports ExtUtils::MakeMaker, Module::Install and Module::Build based
distributions, with certain limitations.

Simply execute dzooky in the directory containing the distribution you wish
to convert to Dist::Zilla.

mtools-(at least)4.0.17 tries hard to configure and conditionally set types
to use 64bit file offsets where available for seek()ing etc.

Update to Racket 5.3

Changes in Racket 5.3

* Submodules are nested module declarations that can be loaded and
run independently from the enclosing module.  For an overview of
  submodules, see

    http://blog.racket-lang.org/2012/06/submodules.html

* The futures visualizer is a graphical profiling tool for parallel
programs using futures.  The tool shows a detailed execution
timeline depicting the migration of futures between threads, and
gives detailed information about each runtime synchronization that
occurred during program execution.  In addition, `would-be-future'
is a special type of future that always executes sequentially and
records all potential barricades a regular future would encounter.

* Optimization Coach (formerly Performance Report) reports
information about Racket's inlining optimizations.  Optimization
Coach can be launched in any language through the View menu.

* The new `images/flomap' library defines floating-point bitmaps and
fast image processing operations on them.  It is written in Typed
Racket, so Typed Racket code may use it without the cost of
  contract checks.

* The new `json' library supports parsing and generating JSON.
(Originally based on Dave Herman's planet library.)

* `racket/string' is extended with a set of simplified string
manipulation functions that are more convenient than using
regexps.  `regexp-match*' and friends can now be used with new
keyword arguments to return specific matched regexp group/s and
  gaps between matches.

* The new `racket/generic' library allows generic function
definitions, which dispatch to methods added to a structure type
  via the new `#:methods' keyword.

* The `class' form supports declaring a method abstract.  An
abstract method prevents a class from being instantiated unless it
  is overridden.

* The contract library comes with support for interfaces, generics,
  prompts, continuation-marks, and structs.

* Most error messages use a new multi-line format that is more
consistent with contract errors and accommodates more information.

* Typed Racket supports function definitions with keyword arguments;
the startup time of Typed Racket programs has been sharply
  reduced.

* The new `ffi/com' library replaces MysterX; a compatibility
`mysterx' library remains, but without ActiveX support.  The new
`ffi/unsafe/com' library offers a more primitive and direct way to
  use COM classes and methods.

* There is now a very complete completion code for zsh.  It is not
included in the distribution though; get it at http://goo.gl/DU8JK
(This script and the bash completions will be included in the
  standard installers in future versions.)

--- DEPRECATION ----------------------------------------------------

Effective this release:

  - The `tex2page' and `combinator-parser' libraries have been moved
from the Racket distribution to PLaneT:

    (require (planet plt/tex2page))
    (require (planet plt/combinator-parser))

The following has been deprecated and will be removed in the
January 2013 release:

  - the `planet' command-line tool; use `raco planet' instead.

The following has been deprecated and will be removed in the
August 2013 release:

  - the `mzlib/class100' library; use `racket/class' instead.

net/quagga: Expand ip_mreq hack conftest to DragonFly

DragonFly can't support the Multicast API so in order for quagga to build
the conftest for ip_mreq needs to return positive for all versions of

have been accomplished by overriding the configure cache from the

Update to SBCL 1.0.58.

Changes in sbcl-1.0.58 relative to sbcl-1.0.57:
  * enhancement: implicit generic function warnings now specify the package
in which the new generic function is being created.
  * enhancement: SB-EXT:ATOMIC-UPDATE makes it easy to perform non-destructive
updates of CAS-able places (similar to Clojure's swap!).
  * enhancement: run-program no longer decodes and re-encodes environment when
:environment argument is not provided. (lp#985904)
  * enhancement: errors during compiler-macro expansion no longer cause
runtime errors, only a compile-time warning, otherwise behaving as if
the compiler macro had declined to expand.
  * optimization: On x86-64, code alignment of block headers is done with
multi-byte NOPs now instead of repetitions of the single-byte NOP.
  * optimization: MAP-INTO is substantially faster when the target sequence is
of unknown type; mapping into lists is no longer O(N^2). (thanks to James
    M. Lawrence)
  * optimization: the compiler no longer heap-conses to check exits in cases
where the exit function is dynamic extent, or when it can prove the exit
    function cannot escape.
  * optimization: SB-SEQUENCE:DOSEQUENCE is faster on vectors of unknown
element type, and vectors that aren't SIMPLE-ARRAYs.
  * optimization: CL:SORT and CL:STABLE-SORT are more efficient in execution
speed (around 1/3 the time in some cases), and a little better in terms of
comparison calls. (Thanks to Takeru Ohta)
  * bug fix: On SPARC, a limitation on the number of code constants emittable
by the compiler has been lifted, allowing certain long functions to
compiled and assembled which had previously been unsupported; fixes
    cl-bench on this ISA (lp#1008996).
  * bug fix: potential for infinite recursion during compilation of CLOS slot
typechecks when dependency graph had loops. (lp#1001799)
  * bug fix: error forms reported with some program-errors were not escaped
    properly.
  * bug fix: functions from EVAL are now on more equal footing with functions
    from COMPILE. (lp#1000783, lp#851170, lp#922408)
  * bug fix: ENSURE-GENERIC-METHOD-COMBINATION accepts method combination
objects as its :METHOD-COMBINATION argument, not just lists designating
    method combinations. (lp#936513)
  * bug fix: run-program no longer unconditionally uses /tmp/ for temporary
    files. (lp#968837).
  * bug fix: restore build on solaris/sparc. (lp#1008506)
  * bug fix: an issue with LDB in the PowerPC backend has been resolved;
this fixes an issue found with cl-postgres (thanks to Tomas Hlavaty).
  * bug fix: compiler-macro lambda-lists specifying non-keyword symbols
as keyword arguments no longer accidentally match unevaluated symbols
    against them.
  * bug fix: FORMAT used to loop infinitely in some cases when a COLINC
parameter was zero, now it signals an error. (lp#905817, fixed since
    1.0.56.19)
  * bug fix: run-program with :pty t no longer makes the pty as the process's
    controling terminal.

lang/gcc46: Mark NOT-FOR-DRAGONFLY

A very large number of patches is required to properly build a stock

DragonFly already has a very good gcc46-based compiler in lang/gnat-aux.
DragonFly users that specifically need gcc46 have been told to use
gnat-aux.  There's no need to make maintenance of lang/gcc46 harder so
it's masked on DragonFly to show its intentionally unsupported.

Set PYTHON_VERSIONS_INCOMPATIBLE+=25 in the buildlink3.mk so that dependent
packages won't try to build with python25.

editors/xvile: Update from version 9.7 to 9.8

This package uses the distinfo and patches from editors/vile which was
recently updated to version 9.8.  Unfortunately it doesn't use a
common makefile so there was a version mismatch.  In the end, it didn't
matter because the PLIST had to be significantly modified as well.

These patches move xvile to version 9,8 and fixes build on DragonFly as
a side benefit.

While we are not supposed to revbump for a module that does not affect
standard package, that naxsi update is rather critical, people using that
option should upgrade.
