This will actually only build for i386 and x86_64 on NetBSD; for other
values of MACHINE_ARCH, set PKG_FAIL_REASON instead of going kersplut.

Making it build for a wider range of platforms should be straightforward,

Updated sysutils/ddrescue to 1.15

(gdt)

2012-05-22 23:41:04 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.15 (not really tested), on the theory that there's no
reason to run old upstream code.

Changes in version 1.15:

The new option "-a, --min-read-rate" has been added.

The new option "-I, --verify-input-size" has been added.

The new option "-x, --extend-outfile" has been added.

Ddrescue now verifies that infile, outfile and logfile are all
different.

Non-tried blocks are now read aligned to cluster-size sectors.

The "split or skip" algorithm of the split pass has been improved.

A spurious warning about "-D" being ignored in fill mode has been
removed.

Ddrescuelog, a tool for manipulation, display, conversion, comparison
and testing of ddrescue logfiles, has been added.

Updated multimedia/libvpx to 1.1.0

(ryoon)

2012-05-22 20:42:58 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.1.0

* Tested with devel/xulrunner and www/firefox 12.0 on NetBSD/i386 6.99.7

Changelog:
2012-05-09 v1.1.0 "Eider"
This introduces a number of enhancements, mostly focused on real-time
encoding. In addition, it fixes a decoder bug (first introduced in
Duclair) so all users of that release are encouraged to upgrade.

  - Upgrading:
This release is ABI and API compatible with Duclair (v1.0.0). Users
of older releases should refer to the Upgrading notes in this
    document for that release.

This release introduces a new temporal denoiser, controlled by the
VP8E_SET_NOISE_SENSITIVITY control. The temporal denoiser does not
currently take a strength parameter, so the control is effectively
a boolean - zero (off) or non-zero (on). For compatibility with
existing applications, the values accepted are the same as those
for the spatial denoiser (0-6). The temporal denoiser is enabled
by default, and the older spatial denoiser may be restored by
configuring with --disable-temporal-denoising. The temporal denoiser
is more computationally intensive than the spatial one.

This release removes support for a legacy, decode only API that was
supported, but deprecated, at the initial release of libvpx
(v0.9.0). This is not expected to have any impact. If you are
impacted, you can apply a reversion to commit 2bf8fb58 locally.
Please update to the latest libvpx API if you are affected.

  - Enhancements:
Adds a motion compensated temporal denoiser to the encoder, which
gives higher quality than the older spatial denoiser. (See above
      for notes on upgrading).

In addition, support for new compilers and platforms were added,
      including:
        improved support for XCode
        Android x86 NDK build
        OS/2 support
        SunCC support

Changing resolution with vpx_codec_enc_config_set() is now
supported. Previously, reinitializing the codec was required to
      change the input resolution.

The vpxenc application has initial support for producing multiple
encodes from the same input in one call. Resizing is not yet
supported, but varying other codec parameters is. Use -- to
delineate output streams. Options persist from one stream to the
      next.

Also, the vpxenc application will now use a keyframe interval of
5 seconds by default. Use the --kf-max-dist option to override.

  - Speed:
Decoder performance improved 2.5% versus Duclair. Encoder speed is
consistent with Duclair for most material. Two pass encoding of
slideshow-like material will see significant improvements.

Large realtime encoding speed gains at a small quality expense are
possible by configuring the on-the-fly bitpacking experiment with
--enable-onthefly-bitpacking. Realtime encoder can be up to 13%
faster (ARM) depending on the number of threads and bitrate
settings. This technique sees constant gain over the 5-16 speed
range. For VC style input the loss seen is up to 0.2dB. See commit
      52cf4dca for further details.

  - Quality:
On the whole, quality is consistent with the Duclair release. Some
      tweaks:

Reduced blockiness in easy sections by applying a penalty to
        intra modes.

Improved quality of static sections (like slideshows) with
        two pass encoding.

Improved keyframe sizing with multiple temporal layers

  - Bug Fixes:
Corrected alt-ref contribution to frame rate for visible updates
to the alt-ref buffer. This affected applications making manual
usage of the frame reference flags, or temporal layers.

Additional constraints were added to disable multi-frame quality
enhancement (MFQE) in sections of the frame where there is motion.
      (#392)

Fixed corruption issues when vpx_codec_enc_config_set() was called
      with spatial resampling enabled.

Fixed a decoder error introduced in Duclair where the segmentation
map was not being reinitialized on keyframes (#378)

print/foomatic4-db-engine: Fix man page generation on DragonFly(+)

The perl man page generation script has an unnecessary file type check
that causes no man pages to be generated on DragonFly and possibly other
platforms.

After properly identifying the template file, it checks to see if it's type
nroff, troff, or groff.  On DragonFly it is type "ASCII".  Just skip the
check completely, the templates were extracted from the verified tarball.

pkgtools/packagekit: Fix permissions and directory creation

This package would fail when a non-privileged user would try to install it.
That's because it was trying to create /usr/pkg/var/log directory.  Another
directory was getting installed into DESTDIR but no further.

Added patch:
1) Removes attempt of Makefile to install ${VARBASE}/log
2) ..and directory ${VARBASE}/cache/PackageKit/downloads creation
3) ..which fixes non-root installations

The INSTALL file was removed, instead of installing directories in ${VARBASE},
it was installing directories at /.  The functionality was replaced with
OWN_DIRS+= in the Makefile and verified to work as expected.

  *  Windows binary packages distributed by ISC are now built and linked
      against OpenSSL 1.0.0i

  New Features

  *  None

  Feature Changes

  *  BIND now recognizes the TLSA resource record type, created to
support IETF DANE (DNS-based Authentication of Named Entities)
      [RT #28989]

  *  A note will be added to the README in future releases to explain
that the improved scalability provided by using multiple threads
to listen for and process queries (change 3137, RT #22992) does
not provide any performance benefit when running BIND on versions
of the linux kernel that do not include the 'lockless UDP transmit
path' changes that were incorporated in 2.6.39.  (Some linux
distributors may have provided this functionality under their
      own version numbering systems).

  Bug Fixes

  *  The locking strategy around the handling of iterative queries
has been tuned to reduce unnecessary contention in a multi-threaded
environment.  (Note that this may not provide a measurable
improvement over previous versions of BIND, but it corrects the
performance impact of change 3309 / RT #27995) [RT #29239]

  *  Addresses a race condition that can cause named to to crash when
the masters list for a zone is updated via rndc reload/reconfig
      [RT #26732]

  *  named-checkconf now correctly validates dns64 clients acl
      definitions. [RT #27631]

  *  Fixes a race condition in zone.c that can cause named to crash
during the processing of rndc delzone [RT #29028]

  *  Prevents a named segfault from resolver.c due to procedure
      fctx_finddone() not being thread-safe.  [RT #27995]

  *  Improves DNS64 reverse zone performance. [RT #28563]

  *  Adds wire format lookup method to sdb. [RT #28563]

  *  Uses hmctx, not mctx when freeing rbtdb->heaps to avoid triggering
an assertion when flushing cache data. [RT #28571]

  *  Prevents intermittent named crashes following an rndc reload [RT
      #28606]

  *  Resolves inconsistencies in locating DNSSEC keys where zone names
contain characters that require special mappings [RT #28600]

  *  A new flag -R  has been added to queryperf for running tests
using non-recursive queries.  It also now builds correctly on
MacOS version 10.7 (darwin)  [RT #28565]

  *  Named no longer crashes if gssapi is enabled in named.conf but
was not compiled into the binary [RT #28338]

  *  SDB now handles unexpected errors from back-end database drivers
gracefully instead of exiting on an assert. [RT #28534]

  *  Prevents named crashes as a result of dereferencing a NULL pointer
in zmgr_start_xfrin_ifquota if the zone was being removed while
there were zone transfers still pending [RT #28419]

  *  Corrects a parser bug that could cause named to crash while
reading a malformed zone file. [RT #28467]

  *  Ensures that when a client recurses its status fields are
consistently set so that named doesn't fail on an INSIST in
      client.c:exit_check. [RT #28346]

  *  Fixed a problem preventing proper use of 64 bit time values in
      libbind. [RT # 26542]

  *  isccc/cc.c:table_fromwire could fail to free an allocated object
on error, leading to a possible memory leak condition. [RT #28265]

  *  Fixed a build error on systems without ENOTSUP.  [RT #28200]

  *  The header file isc/hmacsha.h is now installed when building
      BIND. [RT #28169]

  *  AAAA responses will no longer be returned in the additional
section when filter-aaaa-on-v4 is in use.  (Prior to this change,
they would be returned for some query types). [RT #27292]

shells/standalone-tcsh: Mark NOT-FOR-DRAGONFLY

This package will install tcsh in the /bin directory (not ${LOCALBASE}/bin).
DragonFly already has tcsh in the base system, so this package will replace
it with no ability to restore the system version.  This is not desired.

shells/tcsh still works should there be any need for a pkgsrc version installed
at ${LOCALBASE}/bin.

Update py-cxfreeze to 4.2.3.

While here,
* register egg-info.
* add patch to enable rpath, custom post-build should not be required anymore.

Changes from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3
1) Added support for Python 3.2.
2) Added hook for datetime module which implicitly imports the time module.
3) Fixed hook for tkinter in Python 3.x.
4) Always include the zlib module since the zipimport module requires it,
even when compression is not taking place.
5) Added sample for a tkinter application.

print/jcabc2ps: Remove trace of cat pages

Apparently references to man/cat* on the PLIST are now being filtered out
by PKG_DEVELOPER=yes.  Now there is an error that cat pages are present
without being on the PLIST when actually they are.

So remove the installation of the jcabc2ps cat page despite there being no

Sometimes these elements are dropped by the compiler and sometimes

Likely a mistake, one of the "levels" source files used unicode in the

Update postfix to 2.8.11.

Changes from release announce:

  * OpenSSL related (all supported Postfix versions).

o Some people have reported program crashes when the OpenSSL
library was updated while Postfix was accessing the Postfix
TLS session cache. To avoid this, the Postfix TLS session
cache ID now includes the OpenSSL library version number.
This cache ID is not shared via the network.

o The OpenSSL workaround introduced with the previous stable
and legacy releases did not compile with older gcc compilers.
These compilers can't handle #ifdef inside a macro invocation
        (NOT: definition).

  * postscreen(8) related (Postfix 2.9, Postfix 2.8).

o To avoid repeated warnings from postscreen(8) with "connect
to private/dnsblog service: Connection refused" on FreeBSD,
the dnsblog(8) daemon now uses the single_server program
driver instead of the multi_server driver. This one-line
code change has no performance impact for other systems,
and eliminates a high-frequency accept() race on a shared
socket that appears to cause trouble on FreeBSD. The same
single_server program driver has proven itself for many
years in smtpd(8).  Problem reported by Sahil Tandon.

  * Laptop-friendly support (all supported Postfix versions). A
little-known secret is that Postfix has always had support to
avoid unnecessary disk spin-up for MTIME updates, by doing
s/fifo/unix/ in master.cf (this is currently not supported on
Solaris systems). However, two minor fixes are needed to make
    this bullet-proof.

o In laptop-friendly mode, the "postqueue -f" and "sendmail
-q" commands did not wait until their requests had reached
the pickup and qmgr servers before closing their UNIX-domain
        request sockets.

o In laptop-friendly mode, the unused postkick command waited
for more than a minute because the event_drain() function
was comparing bitmasks incorrectly on systems with kqueue(2),
        epoll(2) or /dev/poll support.

misc/molden: regenerate distinfo

At least since Dec 2011, molden has failed the checksum.  Distribution
is restricted, so the old version wasn't on the NetBSD servers.  However,
I checked Molden 5.0 against this version (Molden 4.6), both from the
listed MASTERSITE, and they appear reasonable.

Regenerating the distinfo file. Incidently, it doesn't build on
DragonFly, fails on line 4169 of molden.f with error, "Too many names."
Version 4.6 is 4 years older than the current version 5.0, and upgrading
the package might fix the error.

lang/gprolog: Build failure is not jobs safe

gprolog fails to build on DragonFly-*-i386.
A fatal error (exception raised) occurs on fd2c.pl:215-220 on this
platform.  The build hangs after that (halts bulk build forever),
another job apparently never exits.

Setting the package to a single job fixes the problem, so apparently
a successful build is jobs safe, but not a build failure.

  pkgsrc/security/sudo/patches: patch-aa

  Log Message:
  Update sudo package to 1.7.9p1.

  Fix seuciry problem of CVE-2012-2337.

  What's new in Sudo 1.7.9p1?

    * Fixed a bug when matching against an IP address with an associated
netmask in the sudoers file.  In certain circumstances, this
could allow users to run commands on hosts they are not authorized
      for.

  What's new in Sudo 1.7.9?

    * Fixed a false positive in visudo strict mode when aliases are
      in use.

    * The line on which a syntax error is reported in the sudoers file
is now more accurate.  Previously it was often off by a line.

    * The #include and #includedir directives in sudoers now support
relative paths.  If the path is not fully qualified it is expected
to be located in the same directory of the sudoers file that is
      including it.

    * visudo will now fix the mode on the sudoers file even if no changes
are made unless the -f option is specified.

    * The "use_loginclass" sudoers option works properly again.

    * For LDAP-based sudoers, values in the search expression are now
      escaped as per RFC 4515.

    * Fixed a race condition when I/O logging is not enabled that could
result in tty-generated signals (e.g. control-C) being received
      by the command twice.

    * If none of the standard input, output or error are connected to
a tty device, sudo will now check its parent's standard input,
output or error for the tty name on systems with /proc and BSD
systems that support the KERN_PROC_PID sysctl.  This allows
tty-based tickets to work properly even when, e.g. standard
input, output and error are redirected to /dev/null.

    * Fixed a bug where a pattern like "/usr/*" included /usr/bin/ in
the results, which would be incorrectly be interpreted as if the
sudoers file had specified a directory.

    * "visudo -c" will now list any include files that were checked
in addition to the main sudoers file when everything parses OK.

    * Users that only have read-only access to the sudoers file may
now run "visudo -c".  Previously, write permissions were required
even though no writing is down in check-only mode.

  What's new in Sudo 1.7.8p2?

    * Fixed a crash in the monitor process on Solaris when NOPASSWD
was specified or when authentication was disabled.

Add a global BUILDLINK_TRANSFORM to remove -ldl. This library is an empty
static library for compatibility reasons. If a libtool library is linking
against -ldl, libtool only builds it statically because there is no
libdl.so. This prevented, at least, the build of devel/gobject-introspection.
Add it globally because there is no reason anyone would want to link against
libdl on MirBSD.

net/ed2k-gtk-gui: Fix indirect linking on DragonFly

On a previous commit, I added an LDFLAGS entry to address indirect

wasn't completely welcomed.  Now that a second library has to be added
to the indirect link fix, I'm moved both to LDFLAGS.DragonFly.
