Update to varnish 3.0.2
There are VCL-incompatible changes between 2.x and 3.x.

Some release highlights (https://www.varnish-cache.org/):
Introduction of VMODs
Add streaming on pass and miss. This is controlled by the beresp.do_stream boolean. This includes support for compression/uncompression.
Add support for ESI and gzip.
Handle objects larger than 2G.
HTTP Range support is now enabled by default
The ban lurker is enabled by default
if there is a backend or director with the name default, use that as the default backend, otherwise use the first one listed.
Add many more stats counters. Amongst those, add per storage backend stats and per-backend statistics.
Syslog the platform we are running on
The -l (shared memory log file) argument has been changed, please see the varnishd manual for the new syntax.
The -S and -T arguments are now stored in the shmlog
Make it possible to name storage backends. The names have to be unique.
The max_esi_includes parameter has been renamed to max_esi_depth.
The err_ttl parameter has been removed and is replaced by a setting in default.vcl.
Add panic.show and panic.clear CLI commands.
VCL now has vcl_init and vcl_fini functions that are called when a given VCL has been loaded and unloaded.
Varnish is now stricter in enforcing no duplication of probes, backends and ACLs.
The ABI of vmods are now checked. This will require a rebuild of all vmods against the new version of Varnish.

Import Math::Random::MT::Auto into math/p5-Math-Random-MT-Auto.
Recent versions of devel/p5-Object-InsideOut optionally uses this
module.

This module provides pseudorandom number generators (PRNGs) that are
based on the Mersenne Twister algorithm.  There is a functional
interface to a standalone PRNG, and an OO interface (based on the
inside-out object model as implemented by the Object::InsideOut
module) for generating multiple PRNG objects.

Import perl module MooseX::MarkAsMethods into devel/p5-MooseX-MarkAsMethods.
This package is required to update databases/p5-DBIx-Class-Schema-Loader.

MooseX::MarkAsMethods allows one to easily mark certain functions as
Moose methods. This will allow other packages such as
namespace::autoclean to operate without blowing away your overloads.
After using MooseX::MarkAsMethods your overloads will be recognized by
Class::MOP as being methods, and class extension as well as
composition from roles with overloads will "just work".

    - Add port to Host header

0.55 Tue Sep 27 19:20 BST 2011

0.54 Mon Aug 1 20:49 BST 2011
    - change to make sure we support changes in Catalyst::Test introduced
      in the Cataplack port.

0.53 Sun Dec 5 23:03 GMT 2010
    - Fix tests to work with the upcoming psgi based Catalyst release
as $c->req->header('Host') now more accurately reflects what you
see in a real web server (i.e. the port will not be defined if it
      is 80)
    - Fix tests to work when the CATALYST_DEBUG environment variable is
set by explicitly setting it to 0 in tests which require it.

If present, MIME::Entity must be v5.501; v5.500 had a regression (or
a bug fix, depending how you look at it) that broke header-reading.
While technically older versions that are not 5.500 would work, it is
much simpler to just require the newest version, rather than to
support a version range with a hole in it.

This commit probably fix "make patch" on non-NetBSD platform,
for example Aleksey Cheusov's Debian GNU/Linux bulk build.
But I have not tested on non-NetBSD platform.

Updated sysutils/capistrano to 2.9.0

(gls)

2011-11-09 21:34:38 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update sysutils/capistrano to 2.9.0

Changelog:

## 2.9.0 / September 24 2011

A vairly heavy release, including some new features which most of you won't
need, but power users have contributed, this also marks the beginning of the
end of the 2.x series, more information will follow in due course, but with
the proliferation of Bundler, and better ways to do deployment, we will be
introducing heavier changes to Capistrano to keep the tool current.

**Please note, following some reported problems with the asset pipeline code
being not found, remember Capistrano needs to be in your Gemfile, and as such
needs to be run with Bundler, otherwise you risk loading a system-wide version
of Capistrano who's behaviour might be different from that specified in your
Gemfile. This is also good practice because much of the deploy logic resides
in the Gem, and you wouldn't want that to change without your knowledge. Rails
applications include Cap in the Gemfile anyway, you should follow this
convention.**

* find_servers() will no longer raise if there are no servers, this behaviour
can be modified by way of the `:on_no_matching_servers` option. Thanks to
`@ppgengler`.

* Short Git SHA1 fragments are now supported in commands such as `cap deploy
-s revision=d7e99f` thanks to `@ndbroadbent`.

* One can now specify individual SCM commands by setting
`:scm_arguments_<command_name>`. Thanks to `@alextk`.

* Travis CI build now passes thanks to @andrew, build tested against MRI
`1.8.7`. `1.9.2` and `REE`.

* Support for Perforce labels, I don't know much about this, but I believe
it's much like deploying a Git tag, thanks to `@ak47`.

* Git SCM now correctly adheres to the `:scm_verbose` setting. Thanks
`@dubek`.

* `set()` can now be used to set a `false` value, previously this was a no-op.
Thanks to `@nilbus`.

* Support for Git 1.6x submodules, The Git SCM strategy now queries Git on the
server-side to ensure it supports the `--recursive` flag, if it doesn't then
it will fall back to using the long-hand. Many thanks to all those involved in
the discussion surrounding this topic, and to `@nilbus` for a beautifully
clean solution which doesn't hold us back.

* When using `:cached_copy` with Subversion, use `svn switch` to for more
reliable switching of branches/etc. Thanks to `@iGEL` for the patch that we
accepted finally, and to `@richmeyers` who also submitted a patch and
contributed to the discssion.

Other cleanups and minor improvements to the code and tests were committed by yours truly
(@leehambley), @maxim, @ak47 and @andrew).

#foreground), #on (alias #background), colors, and styles. See

Updated filesystems/tahoe-lafs to 1.9.0

(gdt)

2011-11-09 00:30:13 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.9.0.

- The most significant new feature in this release is MDMF: "Medium-size
Distributed Mutable Files". Unlike standard SDMF files, these provide
efficient partial-access (reading and modifying small portions of the file
instead of the whole thing). MDMF is opt-in (it is not yet the default
format for mutable files), both to ensure compatibility with previous
versions, and because the algorithm does not yet meet memory-usage goals.
Enable it with ``--format=MDMF`` in the CLI (``tahoe put`` and ``tahoe
mkdir``), or the "format" radioboxes in the web interface. See
  `<docs/specifications/mutable.rst>`_ for more details (`#393`_, `#1507`_)
- A "blacklist" feature allows blocking access to specific files through
a particular gateway. See the "Access Blacklist" section of
  `<docs/configuration.rst>`_ for more details. (`#1425`_)
- A "drop-upload" feature has been added, which allows you to upload
files to a Tahoe-LAFS directory just by writing them to a local
directory. This feature is experimental and should not be relied on
to store the only copy of valuable data. It is currently available
only on Linux. See `<docs/frontends/drop-upload.rst>`_ for documentation.
  (`#1429`_)
- The timeline of immutable downloads can be viewed using a zoomable and
pannable JavaScript-based visualization. This is accessed using the
'timeline' link on the File Download Status page for the download, which
can be reached from the Recent Uploads and Downloads page.

2011-11-08 21:52:35 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to SBCL 1.0.53

changes in sbcl-1.0.53 relative to sbcl-1.0.52:
  * enhancement: on 64-bit targets, in src/compiler/generic/early-vm.lisp,
the parameter n-fixnum-tag-bits may now vary from 1 (fixnum =
    (signed-byte 63)) to 3 (fixnum = (signed-byte 61)) at build-time.
  * enhancement: SB-EXT:WAIT-FOR allows waiting for arbitrary events.
  * minor(?) incompatible(?) change: The default fixnum width on 64-bit
targets is now 63 bits (up from 61).
  * enhancement: DESCRIBE now reports a lambda-list and source location
    for complext setf-expanders.
  * bug fix: PUSH, PUSHNEW, POP, REMF, INCF, DECF, DEFINE-MODIFY-MACRO,
GETF, LOGBITP, LDB, and MASK-FIELD now arrange for non-primary values
of multiple-valued places to be set to NIL, instead of signalling an
error (per a careful reading of CLHS 5.1.2.3).
  * bug fix: floating-point traps now work on darwin/x86 and /x86-64.
  * bug fix: repair crash in x86oid darwin signal handling emulation
    when built with certain compilers.
  * bug fix: SB-ROTATE-BYTE misrotated to the right when using constant
    rotation arguments on x86-64. (lp#882151)
  * bug fix: low-level control flow optimisations could result in bogus
code in functions with tail and non-tail calls to local functions on
    x86oids. (lp#883500)
  * bug fix: on SPARC/:sb-unicode, avoid crashing the assembler by trying
to emit literal characters > (code-char 4095), for comparisons with
    constant characters.
  * bug fix: ROOM reported only the low 32 bits of dynamic space usage
    on 64 bit platforms. (lp#881445)
  * bug fix: DELETE-FILE did not MERGE-PATHNAMES, making it possible to
delete the wrong file when using relative pathnames. (lp#882877)
  * bug fix: optimized SEARCH of vectors-on-vectors mishandled zero-length
    sequences and :KEY NIL.

changes in sbcl-1.0.52 relative to sbcl-1.0.51:
  * enhancement: ASDF has been updated to version 2.017.
  * enhancement: the --core command line option now accepts binaries with
    an embedded core.
  * enhancement: when built with :sb-core-compression, core files (regular
or executable) can be compressed with zlib.  Use the :COMPRESSION
argument to SAVE-LISP-AND-DIE to specify a compression level.
  * enhancement: --[no-]merge-core-pages determines whether the runtime
hints the operating system that identical core pages between SBCL
processes should share the same physical memory.  Default is to only
    enable this for compressed cores.
  * optimization: SLEEP no longer conses.
  * optimization: *PRINT-PRETTY* no longer slows down printing of strings
or bit-vectors when using the standard pretty-print dispatch table.
  * bug fix: non-function FTYPE declarations no longer cause a compiler-error.
    (lp#738464)
  * bug fix: compiler-errors causes by MEMBER types in conjunction with with
    AREF, CHAR, etc. (lp#826971)
  * bug fix: compiler-errors causes by integer arguments with composed of
    multiple ranges to ARRAY-IN-BOUNDS-P. (lp#826970)
  * bug fix: ,@ and ,. now signal a read-time error for certain non-list
    expressions. (lp#770184)
  * bug fix: complex single float literals are correctly aligned when used
    as arguments of arithmetic operators.
  * bug fix: on 32-bit platforms, rounding of double floats larger than a
fixnum is correct.  (reported by Peter Keller)
  * bug fix: stray FD-HANDLERs are no longer left lying around after unwinds
from RUN-PROGRAM.  (lp#840190, reported by Dominic Pearson; fix from Max
    Mikhanosha)
  * bug fix: redefining classes such that slots with custom allocation are
    added or removed works again.
