Excerpted new features. For complete list of bug fixes, look into
Changes file in the distfile.
0.08193 2011-07-14 17:00 (UTC)
    * New Features / Changes
        - Allow schema cloning to mutate attributes
        - DBIC now attempts more aggressive de-duplication of where
          conditions on resultset chaining
        - The Ordered component is now smarter wrt reordering of dirty
          objects, and does its job with less storage queries
        - Logging via DBIC_TRACE=1=<filename> no longer overwrites the
          logfile on every program startup, appending loglines instead

0.08191 2011-05-02 00:45 (UTC) (deleted from CPAN)
    * New Features / Changes
        - Add quote_names connection option. When set to true automatically
          sets quote_char and name_sep appropriate for your RDBMS
        - Add retrieve_on_insert column info flag, allowing to retrieve any
          column value instead of just autoinc primary keys
        - Bring back strict ordering of selectors in complex search chains
          (an ill-fated attempt was made in 0.08127 to order intelligently)
        - All limit dialects (except for the older Top and FetchFirst) are
          now using bind parameters for the limits/offsets, making DBI's
          prepare_cached useful across paged resutsets
        - Support for savepoints for SQLite
        - Support for MS Access databases via DBD::ODBC and DBD::ADO (only
          Win32 support currently tested)
        - Support for the Firebird RDBMS over the new DBD::Firebird driver
        - IC::DateTime support for MSSQL over DBD::ADO
        - Both the ::ODBC and ::ADO dispatchers now warn if a rdbms-specific
          driver is not found for this connection before falling back to
          plain ::Storage::DBI
        - ::Storage::DBI::sth was mistakenly marked/documented as public,
          privatize and warn on deprecated use
        - Massive overhaul of bind values/attributes handling - slightly
          changes the output of as_query (should not cause compat issues)
        - Support ancient DB2 versions (5.4 and older), with proper limit
          dialect
        - Support sub-second precision for TIMESTAMPs for Firebird over ODBC
        - Support BLOBs and CLOBs in WHERE clauses for Oracle, including LIKE
          queries for CLOBs.

0.08190-TRIAL 2011-01-24 15:35 (UTC)
    * New Features / Changes
        - Support for completely arbitrary SQL::Abstract-based conditions
          in all types of relationships

0.08127 2011-01-19 16:40 (UTC)
    * New Features / Changes
        - Schema/resultsource instances are now crossreferenced via a new
          system guaranteeing leak-free mutually assured destruction
        - DBIx::Class now warns when the user erroneously supplies
          AutoCommit => 0 to connect()
        - A warning is also issued before forcing the RaiseError
          setting of externally supplied DBI handles
        - Switch to a warning when find() is invoked with both a 'key'
          argument and a NULL-containing condition to satisfy the named
          constraint. Previously (starting with 0.08124) an exception was
          thrown
        - Switch to a warning when a commit is attempted with an out-of-sync

    * Fixes
        - Bump forgotten Class::Accessor::Grouped core dependency
        - Promote forgotten Hash::Merge optdep to a hard requirement
        - Skip t/storage/error.t on smokers with leaking perls
        - Fix t/storage/txn.t deadlocks on slower machines

    * New Features / Changes
        - New method ResultSource columns_info method, returning multiple
          pairs of column name/info at once
        - $rs->search now throws when called in void context, as it makes
          no sense (and is nearly always a sign of a bug/misdesign)
        - Restore long-lost ability to supply unbalanced select/as pairs
          e.g. +select => \'DISTINCT(foo, bar)', +as => ['foo', 'bar']
        - +columns now behaves just like columns by not stripping a
          fully-qualified 'as' spec (i.e. foo.bar results in $obj->foo->bar)
        - Deprecate legacy $rs->search( %condition ) syntax (warn once per
          callsite)
        - NULL is now supplied unquoted to all debug-objects, in order to
          differentiate between a real NULL and the string 'NULL'
        - New search() condition operator -value used to pass complex bind
          values to DBI: search({ array_col => { -value => [1,2,3] }})
        - Add full INSERT...RETURNING support for Oracle
        - Deprecate use of -nest in search conditions (warn once per
          callsite)
        - Deprecate the completely useless DBIx::Class::Serialize::Storable
          result component

(hiramatsu)

2011-10-07 11:38:37 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update p5-MooseX-ClassAttribute to 0.26.

Changes from previous:
0.26  2011-06-06
- The default() method for class attributes always returned a value, even if
  the default was a subroutine ref, which isn't how the method works for
  regular attributes. This broke inlining with Moose HEAD.

0.25  2011-06-05
- Class attributes now have a definition context set, which means that errors
  thrown from generated methods associated with these attributes say something
  like "X at accessor MyClass::ClassAttribute (defined at path/to/file line
  42)" rather than "generated method (unknown origin)".

0.24  2011-02-22
- This release provides forward compatibility with Moose 1.99+. It will still
  work with Moose 1.23 as well. Partially based on work originally done by
  Moritz Onken.

0.23  2011-02-13
- Fixed a bug where applying a role with class attributes didn't record the
  role as actually being applied in the meta class (or role) to which it was
  applied. Reported by Karen Etheridge. RT #59610.
- Applying multiple roles to a class lost all class attributes from those
  roles. Fixed by Andrew Rodland. RT #59572.

0.22  2011-02-02
- Explicitly require namespace::clean 0.20 to avoid some bad interactions
  between namespace::clean and Package::Stash.

0.21  2010-10-29
- Switch from Test::Exception to Test::Fatal.

0.20  2010-10-07
- A test file tried to load MooseX::Role::Parameterized, which was not listed
  as a dep. Reported by Andreas Koenig. RT #61957.

0.19  2010-10-06
- Removed references to MooseX::ClassAttribute::Meta::Method::Accessor, which
  was removed in 0.18. This caused lots of test failures if you hadn't
  installed a previous version of this distribution.

0.18  2010-10-05
- Changes to work with (and require) Moose 1.15.

0.17  2010-09-26
- Changes to work with (and require) Moose 1.09.

Update py-testtools to 0.9.12.

0.9.12
~~~~~~
This is a very big release.  We've made huge improvements on three fronts:
1. Test failures are way nicer and easier to read
2. Matchers and ``assertThat`` are much more convenient to use
3. Correct handling of extended unicode characters
We've trimmed off the fat from the stack trace you get when tests fail, we've
cut out the bits of error messages that just didn't help, we've made it easier
to annotate mismatch failures, to compare complex objects and to match raised
exceptions.
Testing code was never this fun.
Changes
-------
* ``AfterPreproccessing`` renamed to ``AfterPreprocessing``, which is a more
  correct spelling.  Old name preserved for backwards compatibility, but is
  now deprecated.  Please stop using it.
  (Jonathan Lange, #813460)
* ``assertThat`` raises ``MismatchError`` instead of
  ``TestCase.failureException``.  ``MismatchError`` is a subclass of
  ``AssertionError``, so in most cases this change will not matter. However,
  if ``self.failureException`` has been set to a non-default value, then
  mismatches will become test errors rather than test failures.
* ``gather_details`` takes two dicts, rather than two detailed objects.
  (Jonathan Lange, #801027)
* ``MatchesRegex`` mismatch now says "<value> does not match /<regex>/" rather
  than "<regex> did not match <value>". The regular expression contains fewer
  backslashes too. (Jonathan Lange, #818079)
* Tests that run with ``AsynchronousDeferredRunTest`` now have the ``reactor``
  attribute set to the running reactor. (Jonathan Lange, #720749)
Improvements
------------
* All public matchers are now in ``testtools.matchers.__all__``.
  (Jonathan Lange, #784859)
* ``assertThat`` can actually display mismatches and matchers that contain
  extended unicode characters. (Jonathan Lange, Martin [gz], #804127)
* ``assertThat`` output is much less verbose, displaying only what the mismatch
  tells us to display. Old-style verbose output can be had by passing
  ``verbose=True`` to assertThat. (Jonathan Lange, #675323, #593190)
* ``assertThat`` accepts a message which will be used to annotate the matcher.
  This can be given as a third parameter or as a keyword parameter.
  (Robert Collins)
* Automated the Launchpad part of the release process.
  (Jonathan Lange, #623486)
* Correctly display non-ASCII unicode output on terminals that claim to have a
  unicode encoding. (Martin [gz], #804122)
* ``DocTestMatches`` correctly handles unicode output from examples, rather
  than raising an error. (Martin [gz], #764170)
* ``ErrorHolder`` and ``PlaceHolder`` added to docs. (Jonathan Lange, #816597)
* ``ExpectedException`` now matches any exception of the given type by
  default, and also allows specifying a ``Matcher`` rather than a mere regular
  expression. (Jonathan Lange, #791889)
* ``FixtureSuite`` added, allows test suites to run with a given fixture.
  (Jonathan Lange)
* Hide testtools's own stack frames when displaying tracebacks, making it
  easier for test authors to focus on their errors.
  (Jonathan Lange, Martin [gz], #788974)
* Less boilerplate displayed in test failures and errors.
  (Jonathan Lange, #660852)
* ``MatchesException`` now allows you to match exceptions against any matcher,
  rather than just regular expressions.  (Jonathan Lange, #791889)
* ``MatchesException`` now permits a tuple of types rather than a single type
  (when using the type matching mode).  (Robert Collins)
* ``MatchesStructure.byEquality`` added to make the common case of matching
  many attributes by equality much easier.  ``MatchesStructure.byMatcher``
  added in case folk want to match by things other than equality.
  (Jonathan Lange)
* New convenience assertions, ``assertIsNone`` and ``assertIsNotNone``.
  (Christian Kampka)
* New matchers:
  * ``AllMatch`` matches many values against a single matcher.
    (Jonathan Lange, #615108)
  * ``Contains``. (Robert Collins)
  * ``GreaterThan``. (Christian Kampka)
* New helper, ``safe_hasattr`` added. (Jonathan Lange)
* ``reraise`` added to ``testtools.compat``. (Jonathan Lange)
Collect the pkgsrc patches, plus a lot of other more or less needed
cleanup, into a jumbo distfile patch. I've almost got a clean WARNS
build; the remaining warnings are almost certainly bugs and need
investigation by someone with deeper knowledge of rtf and/or troff
than I have.
Roll all the pkgsrc patches (of which there were far too many, and
none pkgsrc-specific) into a distfile jumbo patch. Sort the PLIST.
While this is not supposed to change the resulting package, bump the
PKGREVISION as a precaution and to make sure the build with the patch
gets tested properly.
Update p5-MooseX-NonMoose to 0.22.
Changes from previous:
0.22  2011-05-09
      - Fix issues where the metaclass gets reinitialized after the call to
        'extends' but before 'make_immutable'. This could happen if a role
        used an extension which provided an application_to_class metarole,
        since the role application would then apply a metarole to the class,
        and metarole application currently causes metaclass reinitialization
        in Moose. (ugh.)
0.21  2011-04-29
      - Allow this module to work with constructors with names other than
        'new'. If you're extending a class with a constructor named something
        other than 'new', you should declare this when calling extends, as in:
          extends 'Foo' => { -constructor_name => 'create' };
        This will ensure that calling 'create' will also call Moose's
        constructor.
0.20  2011-03-22
      - fix warning when passing inline_constructor => 0 with no superclass new
        method (rafl).
0.19  2011-03-02
      - don't die if superclass doesn't have a 'new' method
0.18  2011-02-09
      - forward compat for Moose 2.0
0.17  2010-11-08
      - convert to Test::Fatal, and dep on it
0.16  2010-10-05
      - Make it work with Moose 1.15 (Dave Rolsky).
      built even if Class::Accessor and other dependencies aren't
    - list GDBM_File as an explicit dependency, assome distributions
      like ActivePerl don't include it even though it is a
      core module.
1.32 Thu Jun 30 16:38:32 EDT 2011
    - make sure utf8 flag set in output of marc8_to_utf8
1.31 Thu Sep 30 10:53:00 EDT 2010
Update to 20111006. Changes:
Provide function in libiscsi to return the compile-time limit on number of
targets. Use this function in the initiator, to ensure that the same limit
is used throughout (i.e. stop you attempting to compile the initiator with a
different limit to the library - the initiator uses the library for most of
its functionality).
If truncating the number of targets in the initiator, truncate it to the
correct amount, not half of what it should be.
Obey RFC3720 when determining targets. SendTargets=All MUST be supported
on a discovery session, and MUST NOT be supported on an operational session.
Previously, SendTargets=All was used both in the initial discovery session
and the later session. (from Daisuke Aoyama - author of istgt).
          and that's less typing (and less copy-pasting)
        - Split method for creating tests into multiple methods to allow
          subclasses to override the generation of some tests.
        - Allow the author to be defined in the call to ->new to help things
          which want to call Catalyst::Helper programatically.
        - Remove $VERSION = eval $VERSION handwave in generated code as:
          - Gives a perl critic violation.
          - If you're shipping a dev release, best practice is you should do
            it by renaming the tarball, rather than having a _ in the VERSION.
        - Allow catalyst.pl . to work for already created applications
          when in the application's directory.
        - Note that plugin order is important in the generated skeleton.
        - Don't pollute M::I plugin detector with GetOptions symbol from
(ryoon)
2011-10-06 11:45:48 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML
Import aubio-0.3.2 from wip/aubio
aubio is a tool designed for the extraction of annotations from audio
signals. Its features include segmenting a sound file before each of
its attacks, performing pitch detection, tapping the beat and
producing midi streams from live audio.
Because these tasks are difficult, we thought it was important to
gather them in a dedicated library. To increase the fun, we have made
these algorithms work in a causal way, so as to be used in real time
applications with as low delay as possible. Functions can be used
offline in sound editors and software samplers, or online in audio
effects and virtual instruments.
aubio currently provides the following features:
Add builtin handling for hesiod. Previously, this was setting
PKG_SKIP_REASION if hesiod was builtin, which was causing dependent
packages (all one of them, AFAICT) to fail in the bulk builds.
Someone who knows more about builtin/buildlink stuff should probably
review this, but to casual inspection at least it seems to work; plus
it's not likely to make anything worse.
The Gnome Chemistry Utils include three utilities:
- a 2D chemical editor (GChemPaint).
- a chemical calculator (computes raw formule, molar weight, mass composition,
  etc..) and isotopic pattern).
- a molecule 3d viewer using OpenGL to display molecular models.
- a crystal structues viewer and editor.
- a periodic table of the elements.
The chemical-mime-data package is a collection of data files to add support
for various chemical MIME types on Linux/UNIX desktops, such as KDE and GNOME.
Chemical MIMEs were proposed in 1995, though it seems they have never been
registered with IANA. But they are widely used and the project's aim is, to
support these important, but unofficial MIME types.
Update to 11.10
Changelog:
2011.10.01  v.11.10
+ New function: classic gamma curve edit for brightness and individual
  RGB colors. Applicable to the whole image or a selected object/area.
+ Printing was revised to work better with recent changes in HPLIP that
  made printing on small paper sizes more difficult. The paper size must
  be specified in the Printer Properties dialog (printer admin function)
  and not in the application program - otherwise the print fails with a
  "paper mismatch" error. This changed between Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04.
+ New function: convert "tetragon" image into a rectangle. Useful for
  gallery paintings photographed from the side to avoid reflections,
  buildings photographed at an angle, etc.
+ At startup, check for new files, advise if synchronization is needed.
+ New option: warn if overwriting original (non-versioned) image file.
+ Slide Show: stop strange behavior when multiple monitors are used.
+ Slide Show: option to show only the most recent version of each image.
+ Slide Show: use spacebar to pause and resume slide show.
+ Pixel Edit: transparency adjustment steps were made finer.
+ Code cleanup for new compiler warnings from GCC 4.6 (Ubuntu 11.10).
2011.09.26  v.11.09.1
+ Bufgix: crash in Slide Show if the last transition type (jaws) is
  not included in the user preferences.
2011.09.01  v.11.09
+ Print Image File now has margin inputs and tiny margins also work.
+ The Portuguese translation was brought up to date.
+ Minor source code changes were made for better BSD compatibility.
+ Show RGB: labels on monitored image points were made optional.
+ Gallery: larger font for file names is used when thumbnails are large.
+ Edit Captions and Edit User Comments were combined into one function.
+ File Open will discard a preceding search result or named collection,
  and the user is notified and may proceed or cancel.
+ File > Open (menu and toolbar) can now be used to open a single RAW
  file (as tiff-16). A batch conversion function is also available.
+ CPU load monitor on status bar now includes spawned subprocesses.
+ Smart Erase: improved algorithm gives better results in some cases.
+ Panorama: image overlap requirement was relaxed.
+ Bugfix: Flatten: fix uneven conversion of pixels with max. brightness.
+ Bugfix: crash if Tools > Add Menu is started and then canceled.
+ Bugfix: minor memory leak.
2011.08.01  v.11.08
+ An Italian user guide has been added.
+ New function DRGB: change brightness and color balance using OD units.
+ Revise_RGB: added delta mode (show +/- changes from original image).
+ Show RGB: added EV and OD units, delta mode, and pixel labels on image.
+ Slide Show: two image transitions were added, "radar" and "jaws".
+ Slide Show: preferred transition modes can be selected and remembered.
+ Delete Area was renamed to Unselect Area (to reduce ambiguity).
+ F1 help topic is now determined by the last dialog opened OR USED.
+ Bugfix: disable a select-area if Undo/Redo changes the image size.
+ Bugfix: Create Blank Image got leftover EXIF data from a prior image.
+ Bugfix: buffer overflow crash in Russian locale. Several other risky
  places from long translation strings were identified and fixed.
+ Bug workaround: crash from GCC 4.5 optimization removing necessary
  code. Do-nothing variable references were added to prevent this.
+ Annoyance fix: rapid repetition of prev/next buttons or arrow keys
  was sometimes causing a "function still active" popup message.
+ Current bug: On Ubuntu 11.04 Fotoxx refuses to print with small paper
  formats (A5, A6). Ubuntu 10.10 works OK. I cannot fix this.
* register egg-info.
* switch to use external roman.py module.
* set LICENSE.
Release 0.8.1 (2011-08-30)
==========================
* General:
  - Fix [ 3364658 ] (Change last file with Apache license to BSD-2-Clause)
    and [ 3395920 ] (correct copyright info for rst.el).
* docutils/test/
  -  Apply [ 3303733 ] and [ 3365041 ] to fix tests under py3k.
* docutils/writers/latex2e/__init__.py
  - Clean up Babel language setting. Restores Sphinx compatibility.
Release 0.8 (2011-07-07)
========================
* General:
  - Handle language codes according to `BCP 47`_.
  - If the specified language is not supported by Docutils,
    warn and fall back to English.
  - Math support: reStructuredText "math" role and directive,
    ``math`` and ``math_block`` doctree elements.
  - Decode command line arguments with the locale's preferred encoding
    (to allow, e.g., ``--title=Dornræ—¦schen``).
  - Orphaned "python" reader and "newlatex2e" writer moved to the sandbox.
  - New sub-module `error_reporting`: handle encoding/decoding errors
    when reporting exceptions.
  - Some additions to the Docutils core are released under the 2-Clause BSD
    license, see COPYING_ for details.
  .. _BCP 47: http://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/bcp/bcp47.txt
  .. _COPYING: COPYING.html
* reStructuredText:
  - Most directives now support a "name" option that attaches a
    reference name.
  - Directive content may start on the first line also when the directive
    type accepts options.
* docs/dev/policies.txt:
  - Recommend the 2-Clause BSD license
    (http://www.spdx.org/licenses/BSD-2-Clause)
    for code that is kept under the author's copyright.
* tools/buildhtml.py:
  - Fix ``--local`` switch.
* Fix [ 3018371 ] Added Lithuanian mappings by Dalius Dobravolskas.
* docutils/writers/html4css1/__init__.py
  - Set "lang" argument for objects with class argument
    "language-<language tag>".
  - New setting "math-output" with support for HTML, MathML, and LaTeX.
* docutils/writers/latex2e/__init__.py
  - Fix [ 3043986 ] AttributeError using :local: with table of content.
  - Place title data in the document preamble.
  - Load `babel` package only if required.
  - Update list of supported languages.
  - New config setting "hyperref-options".
    No hard-coded "unicode" hyperref option (clash with xetex).
  - Set language for custom roles, paragraphs, block-quotes, and
    line-quotes with class argument "language-<language tag>".
  - Fix [ 3095603 ] wrong quotes output for russian and other languages.
  - Convert image URI to a local file path.
  - Apply [ 3148141 ] fix multicolumn support when a colspanning cell
    has more than one paragraph (Wolfgang Scherer).
  - \leavevmode before longtable only when needed (prevents spurious vspace)
  - do not advance table counter for tables without caption
* docutils/writers/xetex/__init__.py
  - New writer generating LaTeX code for compiling with ``xelatex``.
    A separate writer (inheriting from latex2e) instead of a ``--xetex``
    option allows separate config options for XeTeX vs. LaTeX2e.
* docutils/writers/manpage.py
  - Fix: BUG#3219183 - vertical space in definition lists containing markup.
  - Fix: vertical space cleaning for option group ``.``.
    (thanks to Jakub Wilk)
* docutils/utils.py:
  - strip whitespace from stylesheet arguments
  - exclude combining chars from column_width
    (partial fix for [ 2926161 ])
* docutils/parsers/rst/directives/misc.py:
  - Fix [ 1830389 ] Replace not breaking on getting system_messages from
    nested_parse
* docutils/io.py:
  - Do not close() sys.stdin, sys.stdout, or sys.stderr. Prevents
    ``Exception ValueError: 'I/O operation on closed file.'`` with Python 3.
