Updated textproc/mdocml to 1.11.7

(wiz)

2011-09-06 09:49:01 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.11.7:

02-09-2011: version 1.11.7

Added demandoc utility for stripping away macros and escapes. This
replaces the historical deroff utility. Also improved the mdoc and
man manuals.

16-08-2011: version 1.11.6

Handling of tr macro in roff implemented. This makes Perl documentation
much more readable. Hyphenation is also now enabled in man format
documents. Many other general improvements have been implemented.
Furthermore, a 64-bit Windows binary is now available at mdocml-win64.zip
and a Mac OS X universal binary is available at mdocml-macosx.zip.

24-07-2011: version 1.11.5

Significant eqn improvements. mdocml can now parse arbitrary eqn
input (although few GNU extensions are accepted, nor is mixing
low-level roff with eqn). See the eqn manual for details. For the
time being, equations are rendered as simple in-line text. The
equation parser satisfies the language specified in the Second
Edition User's Guide.

This is also the first release featuring a distributed Windows
binary, available at /binaries/mdocml-win32.zip.

12-07-2011: version 1.11.4

Bug-fixes and clean-ups across all systems, especially in makewhatis
(note: still not connected to the general build and must be compiled
with make makewhatis) and the man parser.  This release was
significantly assisted by participants in OpenBSD's c2k11.  Thanks!

26-05-2011: version 1.11.3

Introduce locale-encoding of output with the -Tlocale output option
and Unicode escaped-character input.  See mandoc and mandoc_char,
respectively, for details.  This allows for non-ASCII characters
(e.g., \[u5000]) to be rendered in the locale's encoding, if said
environment supports wide-character encoding (if it does not,
-Tascii is used instead).  Locale support can be turned off at
compile time by removing -DUSE_WCHAR in the Makefile, in which case
-Tlocale is always a synonym for -Tascii.

Furthermore, multibyte-encoded documents, such as those in UTF-8,
may be on-the-fly recoded into mandoc input by using the newly-added
preconv utility.  Note: in the future, this feature may be integrated
into mandoc.

12-05-2011: version 1.11.2

Corrected some installation issues in version 1.11.1.  Further
migration to libmandoc.  Initial public release (this utility is
very much under development) of makewhatis, initially named mandoc-db.
This utility produces keyword databases of manual content mandoc-cgi,
mandoc-tools, which features semantic querying of manual content.

Updated textproc/py-jinja2 to 2.6

(adam)

2011-09-05 10:54:32 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Changes 2.6:
* internal attributes now raise an internal attribute error now instead
of returning an undefined.  This fixes problems when passing undefined
objects to Python semantics expecting APIs.
* traceback support now works properly for PyPy.  (Tested with 1.4)
* implemented operator intercepting for sandboxed environments.  This
allows application developers to disable builtin operators for better
security.  (For instance limit the mathematical operators to actual
  integers instead of longs)
* groupby filter now supports dotted notation for grouping by attributes
  of attributes.
* scoped blocks not properly treat toplevel assignments and imports.
Previously an import suddenly "disappeared" in a scoped block.
* automatically detect newer Python interpreter versions before loading code
from bytecode caches to prevent segfaults on invalid opcodes.  The segfault
in earlier Jinja2 versions here was not a Jinja2 bug but a limitation in
the underlying Python interpreter.  If you notice Jinja2 segfaulting in
earlier versions after an upgrade of the Python interpreter you don't have
to upgrade, it's enough to flush the bytecode cache.  This just no longer
makes this necessary, Jinja2 will automatically detect these cases now.
* the sum filter can now sum up values by attribute.  This is a backwards
incompatible change.  The argument to the filter previously was the
optional starting index which defaultes to zero.  This now became the
second argument to the function because it's rarely used.
* like sum, sort now also makes it possible to order items by attribute.
* like sum and sort, join now also is able to join attributes of objects
  as string.
* the internal eval context now has a reference to the environment.
* added a mapping test to see if an object is a dict or an object with
  a similar interface.

Rearrange the getline() patch so it works on -current. (Unlike the usual
problem, here the package is trying to use the posix getline but the
compat for older systems broke.)

This should really be done with a configure test, but to regen the
configure script without creating a huge diff would require digging up
an ancient version of autoconf and for now at least it doesn't seem
worth the trouble.

Update postfix pacakge to 2.8.5.

[An on-line version of this announcement will be available at
http://www.postfix.org/announcements/postfix-2.8.5.html]

Postfix stable release 2.8.5, 2.7.6, 2.6.12, and 2.5.15 are available.
These contain fixes and workarounds for the Postfix Milter client
that were already included with the Postfix 2.9 experimental release.

    * The Postfix Milter client logged a "milter miltername: malformed
reply" error when a Milter sent an SMTP response without
enhanced status code (i.e. "XXX Text" instead of "XXX X.X.X
      Text").

    * The Postfix Milter client sent a random {client_connections}
macro value when the remote SMTP client was not subject to
any smtpd_client_* limit. As a workaround, it now sends a
      zero value instead.

2011-09-02 08:06:55 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Several changes rolled into one:

o Wedge in DESTDIR support.  This is a little tricky since the
installation procedure wants to run scotty to parse and dump
the MIB files, and this needs to be done in DESTDIR.  Therefore
we use the post-install target, to fix things up before packaging
  and the real install.

o Fix the "dns" functionality not to use _res, since this program
is linked with libpthread that won't work on NetBSD (aborts the
program).  Though the modified version still uses a global static
  variable.

o Add comments to all the patch files.

o Eliminate use of ${WRKSRC}/.., since pkglint objects to it.  Instead
  use BUILD_DIRS and CONFIGURE_DIRS.

o Add a LICENSE setting, 2-clause-bsd appears most similar.

o Bump PKGREVISION for the above changes.

Changes 6.4:
* Change default value for clamd_local configuration directive to the
common package default clamd local socket '/var/run/clamav/clamd.ctl'.
* The origin of the double free corruption was partially found in last
release. It is now completely fixed. Thanks to Tim Weippert for the
  report.
* The call to squidGuard from SquidClamav by a bidirectional pipe seem
to make squid/c-icap system going slower and slower. The reason comes
from more and more pending squidGuard processes after c-icap thread
restarting. The historical reason of this feature is related to Squid
version 2.x that doesn't allow to chained url_rewrite_program. I think
this is no more useful so the squidguard configuration directive will
be removed in next major release. Thank to Marco Schuth and David
  Tannheimeri for the report.
You'd better use the Squid configuration file (squid.conf) and the
'url_rewrite_program' directive to use squidGuard. There's no plan to
reintroduce the call to squidGuard from SquidClamav at least until
squidGuard has a daemon mode or you really asked for it.
* Fix an issue on reallocating mishandled null pattern array.

(taca)

2011-09-01 03:44:35 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update bind98 package to 9.8.1.

pkgsrc change: add a patch to fix build problem with some PKG_OPTIONS,
such as "ldap".

New Features

9.8.1

    * Added a new include file with function typedefs for the DLZ
      "dlopen" driver. [RT #23629]
    * Added a tool able to generate malformed packets to allow testing of
how named handles them. [RT #24096]
    * The root key is now provided in the file bind.keys allowing DNSSEC
validation to be switched on at start up by adding
"dnssec-validation auto;" to named.conf. If the root key provided
has expired, named will log the expiration and validation will not
work. More information and the most current copy of bind.keys can
be found at http://www.isc.org/bind-keys. *Please note this feature
was actually added in 9.8.0 but was not included in the 9.8.0
      release notes. [RT #21727]

Security Fixes

9.8.1

    * If named is configured with a response policy zone (RPZ) and a
query of type RRSIG is received for a name configured for RRset
replacement in that RPZ, it will trigger an INSIST and crash the
      server. RRSIG. [RT #24280]
    * named, set up to be a caching resolver, is vulnerable to a user
querying a domain with very large resource record sets (RRSets)
when trying to negatively cache the response. Due to an off-by-one
error, caching the response could cause named to crash. [RT #24650]
      [CVE-2011-1910]
    * Using Response Policy Zone (RPZ) to query a wildcard CNAME label
with QUERY type SIG/RRSIG, it can cause named to crash. Fix is
      query type independant. [RT #24715]
    * Using Response Policy Zone (RPZ) with DNAME records and querying
the subdomain of that label can cause named to crash. Now logs that
DNAME is not supported. [RT #24766]
    * Change #2912 populated the message section in replies to UPDATE
requests, which some Windows clients wanted. This exposed a latent
bug that allowed the response message to crash named. With this
fix, change 2912 has been reduced to copy only the zone section to
the reply. A more complete fix for the latent bug will be released
      later. [RT #24777]

Feature Changes

9.8.1

    * Merged in the NetBSD ATF test framework (currently version 0.12)
for development of future unit tests. Use configure --with-atf to
build ATF internally or configure --with-atf=prefix to use an
      external copy. [RT #23209]
    * Added more verbose error reporting from DLZ LDAP. [RT #23402]
    * The DLZ "dlopen" driver is now built by default, no longer
requiring a configure option. To disable it, use "configure
--without-dlopen". (Note: driver not supported on win32.) [RT
      #23467]
    * Replaced compile time constant with STDTIME_ON_32BITS. [RT #23587]
    * Make --with-gssapi default for ./configure. [RT #23738]
    * Improved the startup time for an authoritative server with a large
number of zones by making the zone task table of variable size
rather than fixed size. This means that authoritative servers with
lots of zones will be serving that zone data much sooner. [RT
      #24406]
    * Per RFC 6303, RFC 1918 reverse zones are now part of the built-in
list of empty zones. [RT #24990]

In a recent thread [1], the value of including USE_CMAKE=yes in the file
meta-pkgs/kde4/kde4.mk was discussed.  The conclusion was that it did
make sense to include that definition because kde4.mk is included by
packages that use the kde4 configure and build system, which is cmake.
Thus, they will need to define USE_CMAKE anyway and currently must do
so in addition to including kde4.mk.  This adds the needed definition
so that it is no longer necessary to do both things.

Many other packages currently include kde4.mk and also define USE_CMAKE.
In many cases they also define CMAKE_ARGS.  To avoid potential confusion
centering around wondering whether or not USE_CMAKE was forgotten (e.g.,
if readers do not know it is now defined in kde4.mk), the definition was
not removed from those packages.

Future package authors can determine whether or not it is clearer to
include the definition even though kde4.mk is also included.

Remove stunnel/ component from SYSCONFDIR path. /stunnel/ is already
set in PKG_SYSCONFDIR variable, so it is passed down to Makefile.
Configuration final path ends up being etc/stunnel/stunnel/stunnel.conf,
which is wrong.

Added sysutils/p5-IO-BufferedSelect version 1.0

(obache)

2011-08-30 11:39:29 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Import p5-IO-BufferedSelect-1.0 as sysutils/p5-IO-BufferedSelect.
Based on PR#45262 by Brian De Wolf, some fixes by me.

The purpose of this module is to implement a buffered version of the select
interface that operates on lines, rather than characters. Given a set of
filehandles, it will block until a full line is available on one or more of
them.

Updated devel/scmgit to 1.7.6.1

(adam)

2011-08-30 09:34:42 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Changes 1.7.6.1:
* Various codepaths that invoked zlib deflate/inflate assumed that these
functions can compress or uncompress more than 4GB data in one call on
platforms with 64-bit long, which has been corrected.
* "git unexecutable" reported that "unexecutable" was not found, even
though the actual error was that "unexecutable" was found but did
not have a proper she-bang line to be executed.
* Error exits from $PAGER were silently ignored.
* "git checkout -b <branch>" was confused when attempting to create a
branch whose name ends with "-g" followed by hexadecimal digits,
  and refused to work.
* "git checkout -b <branch>" sometimes wrote a bogus reflog entry,
causing later "git checkout -" to fail.
* "git diff --cc" learned to correctly ignore binary files.
* "git diff -c/--cc" mishandled a deletion that resolves a conflict, and
looked in the working tree instead.
* "git fast-export" forgot to quote pathnames with unsafe characters
  in its output.
* "git fetch" over smart-http transport used to abort when the
repository was updated between the initial connection and the
  subsequent object transfer.
* "git fetch" did not recurse into submodules in subdirectories.
* "git ls-tree" did not error out when asked to show a corrupt tree.
* "git pull" without any argument left an extra whitespace after the
  command name in its reflog.
* "git push --quiet" was not really quiet.
* "git rebase -i -p" incorrectly dropped commits from side branches.
* "git reset [<commit>] paths..." did not reset the index entry correctly
  for unmerged paths.
* "git submodule add" did not allow a relative repository path when
the superproject did not have any default remote url.
* "git submodule foreach" failed to correctly give the standard input to
  the user-supplied command it invoked.
* submodules that the user has never showed interest in by running
"git submodule init" was incorrectly marked as interesting by "git
  submodule sync".
* "git submodule update --quiet" was not really quiet.
* "git tag -l <glob>..." did not take multiple glob patterns from the
  command line.
