Added databases/jdbc-postgresql83 version 603

This is a pure Java (Type IV) JDBC driver for the PostgreSQL
database.  It allows Java programs to connect to a PostgreSQL
database using standard, database independent Java code.

The driver provides a reasonably complete implementation of the
JDBC 3 specification in addition to some PostgreSQL specific
extensions.

1.1901  Jun 13, 2008

- This release just contains a test fix.

- The new tests for bad utf-8 fail with Perl 5.8.x where x <=
  6. Apparently, utf-8 was just more broken back then. Reported by
  Andreas Koenig's smokebots.

1.19  Jun 13, 2008

- Dropped support for Perl 5.005.

- If a function was in stack trace had been called with invalid utf-8
  bytes, this could cause stringifying a stack trace to blow up when
  it tried to stringify that argument. We now catch those (and other)
  errors and simply put "(bad utf-8)" or "?" in the stringified
  argument list. Reported by Alex Vandiver.

# minor maintenance release with a bug fix
fix:  change to the regexp that parses XPath-like conditions so

fix:  set use utf8 (except in 5.005), which gets rid of the dreaded
      "SWASHNEW" error in 5.6. fixed things that then broke in 5.6.

version: 3.31
# minor maintenance release, fixing some tests
tests: fixes to stop tests from failing in various configurations

Changes in 3.30

      fixed a couple of bugs in namespace handling, spotted by
      Shlomo Yonas (see https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=27617
      and http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=624830)

      added the XML::Twig::Elt fields method which returns a list of
      fields

      added the normalize method in XML::Twig and XML::Twig::Elt,
      which merge together consecutive pcdata elements. As much as
      possible (so far after a cut, delete or erase), the twig is
      kept normalized, eg there are no consecutive #PCDATA elements
      in it. Suggestion of someone whose name (and emails) I can't
      find at the moment.

      added the indented_a / cvs format for pretty_print, that makes the
      output friendly to line-oriented version control tools, as described
      in http://tinyurl.com/2kwscq (RT #24954). Thanks to Sjur Moshagen
      for a patch that I adapted to the current version.

      fixed bug RT #25113: system entities were not properly resolved
      if the XML file was not in the current directory. Thanks to
      Dave Charness for the patch.

      Added the XML::Twig method finish_now that terminates parsing
      immediately, without checking the rest of the XML. This feature was
      half suggested by Nick Clayton

      added the -s option to xml_split, which splits when the given
      size is reached for a file, suggested by Radek Saturka.

      added the -g option to xml_split, which groups elements to be
      split, suggested and tested by Dhirendra Singh Kholia.

      added the safe_parsefile_html and safe_parseurl_html methods,
      and a --html option to xml_grep. Suggested by Bill Ricker.

      by default xml_grep now skips non well-formed files, the
      --strict option makes it die when it finds one

      fixed a bunch of bugs in xml_grep

      fixed a warning when using optional modules with a version
      number that includes an _, spotted and fix suggested by
      Bill Ricker.

      Fixed test failure on cygwin, thanks to Erik Rantapaa for the
      patch.

      Fixed a bunch of typos in docs, RT #25836, spotted and fixed by David
      Steinbrunner

      Improved re-use of XML::Twig objects for repetitive parsing. It
      looks like it should be OK now , but I am sure I haven't tested
      all cases yet (especially when DTDs and entities are involved).

      HTML parsing improved: XML::Twig now tries to find the proper
      encoding for the document (that's not done by HTML::TreeBuilder
      at the moment).

      XML::Twig::Elt purge and flush methods now only purge/flush up to
      the element, not up to the current element in the twig (duh!)

      Fixed bug in handlers of the form elt[string(subelt)="foo"] and
      elt[string(subelt)=1] which did not work at all

      fixed bug in parameter entity output, spotted by BenHopkins on
      perlmonks (see http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=618360)

      fixed bug in xml_string: options were not used

      improved error reporting for missing SYSTEM entities, including
      the option to set twig_expand_external_ents to -1, which makes
      missing SYSTEM entities not fatal, but reports them in
      $t->{twig_missing_system_entities} Thanks to Frank Wegmann for
      his suggestions and for testing the various versions of the feature

      fixed internals so new versions of Pod::Coverage won't barf

Changes in 3.29

      fixed a bug in the handling of handlers after an ignore (RT #24392,
      reported by Robert Eden).

Changes in 3.28

      now builds on Windows and OS2

      refactored the code that triggers handlers,
      more complex expressions can now be handled,
      such as '/doc/section[@def="1"]/title'

      COMPATIBILITY WARNING

      Up to version 3.26, you could change the attribute
      of a parent of a node on which you had a handler,
      and be able to trigger a handler on that parent node
      based on the new attribute value:
      XML::Twig->new( twig_handlers =>
        { 'sect/title'          => sub { $_->parent->set_att( has_title => 1)},
          'sect[@has_title="1"]'=> sub { ... }, # called for any sect that has
        }                                      # a title
                    );
      This won't work now. The trigger expression ('sect[@has_title="1"]')
      is evaluated strictly against the input XML. This is more logical and
      consistent (if you changed the element name, the new name was never
      used in the evaluation of the trigger).
      The only exception to that rule is if you use "private attributes":
      attributes which name starts with a '#'. By definition this in an invalid
      XML name, so it can't be in the input, and has to have been created . In
      that case the code that evaluates the trigger looks at the attribute in
      the element in the tree in memory (if it exists).
      So in the example above, if you replace 'has_title' by '#has_title',
      everything will work fine. Note that private attributes are not output
      when using the print/sprint/xml_string... methods.

      fixed xml_pp so it does not leave a tempfile
      and a broken original file all when the original
      file is not well-formed.

      added the nparse_pp method that does an nparse
      with pretty_print set to 'indented', nparse_e
      that sets error_context, and nparse_ppe that
      does both

      added XML::Twig::Elt tag_to_span and tag_to_div
      methods (turn an element into a span/div and
      set its class to the old tag name)

      added the quote option for XML::Twig new, which
      sets the output quote character for attributes
      ('single' or 'double')

      added the text_only and xml_text_only methods
      that return the text of the element, but not of
      the sub-elements.

      added outer_xml method (synonym for sprint)

      fixed bug where entity names were not matched
      properly (RT #22854, spotted by Bob Faist)

      fixed bug  on some DOCTYPE config with
      twig_print_outside_roots

      fixed bug in set_keep_encoding (the method,
      not the option).

      fixed bug in simplify: the code attempted to
      replace variables in attribute values even if no
      option required it, spotted by Klaus Rush

      clean-up and fixed bugs in ignore: the method
      can now be called from a regular handler (it
      always could but the docs did not say so,
      thanks to kudra for noticing this). It can
      also be called to ignore a parent of the current
      element. There were bugs there, and the tree
      was not built properly

      added error message when an XPath query with
      a leading / is used on a node that does not
      belong to a whole twig (because it's been cut
      or because the twig itself went out of scope)

      when parsing HTML with error_context set, the
      HTML is indented, in order to give better error
      report

2008-07-16 09:47:47 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

- updated to 1.3022
- took maintainership

ChangeLog:
1.3022July 18 2007
    - Changed XML::RAI::Object's date handler to avoid an apparent bug in
      Date::Format::strftime. Thanks to Tim Sweetman.

1.301Nov 20 2005
    - Fixed Makefile dependencies

1.3  Nov 18 2005
    - Seperated out XML::RSS::Parser reversing a bad idea.
    - Introduced add_mapping method to all objects.
    - Now requires XML::RSS::Parser 4.0.
    - Various mapping tweaks.
    - Numerous bug fixes.
    - Test. A lot of them.

1.21 Jul 16 2005
    - Replaced use of Style param in XML::RSS::Parser constructor with
      standard Handlers param. This lowered the prerequisite version of
      XML::Parser needed.

1.2  Jan 16 2005
    - POTENTIAL BREAK: XML::RAI::Object::source has been renamed src. This fixes
      a boneheaded oversight where XML::RAI::Item had two documented source
      methods. The source method for retreiving any RSS source attributes
      was overloading the XML::RAI::Object source method to retreive the
      underlying XML::RSS::Parser::Element object. This was completely fouling
      up retreival in an ARRAY context for all the RSS methods in the
      XML::RAI::Item class. This change required numerous modifications
      throughout the XML::RAI classes to reflect this naming change.

1.11 Jan 09 2005
    - Fixed condition that was generating "Use of uninitialized value in
      localtime" warning.

1.1  Jan 09 2005
    - Dropped POSIX dependency in favor of Date::Format.
    - Added EPOCH time formatting option
    - Fixed time_format bug were PASS_THRU could not be set. (Kevin Frost)
    - Fixed PASS_THRU bug were an XML::RSS::Parser::Element object would be
      returned instead of a string. (Kevin Frost)
    - Fixed bug were date normalization was ignoring timezone and using the
      local system timezone instead. (Kevin Frost)

1.04 Nov 22 2004
    - Added the Technorati API namespace to XML::Parser::Element.

1.03 Nov 06 2004
    - Fixed RAI->item_count bug that was returning one less then the
      actual count. (Jason Swan)

1.02 Oct 16 2004
    - Added missing Class::XPath dependency to Makefile.PL

1.01 Sep 30 2004
    - Corrected XML::RSS::Parser prerequisite version to 3.
    - Added prerequisite version of Date::Parse to 2.26 in RAI::Object.
    - Switched use of deprecated value method to text_content in
      RAI::Object.

1.00 Sep 29 2004
    - Integrated XML::RSS::Parser package into RAI.
    - Refactored XML::RSS::Parser to use XML::Elemental package and
      true tree structure.
    - Introduced XML::RSS::Parser::Characters class
    - Exposed internal methods for use with Class::XPath in Element
    - Added more graceful handling of unrecognized namespace URIs
    - Deprecated value and append_value. BREAKAGE: Regretfully value method
      will not work the same as version 2x of the RSS Parser in some cases.
      This is due to the adoption of a tree model and how text is handled.
    - Added as_xml method for reimplementing the version 2x pass-thru
      functionality under the tree structure.

0.52 Aug 14 2004
    - Removed lastBuildDate from the RAI::Item created and modified mappings. A
      good idea gone bad if you are trying to merge feeds and list out entries
      chronological order.
    - Added minimum version of 0 to POSIX an Date::Parse in Makefile.PL.
    - Time handlers (created, modified etc) return UTC rather then local time

+ Updated lang/gambc to 4.2.8 [bjs 2008-07-16]

(bjs)

2008-07-16 07:14:36 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to version 4.2.8.  Changes:

-  Fixed infinite loop when a character is output to a port
whose character encoding does not support the character (e.g. (display
(integer->char 1000)) when character encoding is ISO-8859-1).
-  Added procedures to extract the threads and thread
groups contained in a thread group (thread-group->thread-list,
thread-group->thread-vector, thread-group->thread-group-list,
thread-group->thread-group-vector).
-  Renamed open-process' show-window: setting to the more
reasonable show-console: since it controls the visibility of the
console.
-  Added readtable-max-unescaped-char and
readtable-max-unescaped-char-set which control the external syntax of
characters in symbol, string and character objects written with the
write and pretty-print procedures.
-  Added tcp-server-socket-info to get the IP address and
port-number of a tcp-server-port (useful when the server port was
created with a kernel assigned port-number, i.e. setting port-number:
0).
-  Fixed incorrect calls to ___P macro in lib/*.c, and added
lib/check___P script to automatically detect such calls (script
contributed by Derek Peschel).
-  Added a "terminate" interrupt which terminates the Gambit
process cleanly (all the exit jobs are executed before exiting). On
Unix this interrupt is raised by the SIGTERM signal so a "kill 1234"
where 1234 is the pid of the Gambit process will terminate the process.
On Windows the interrupt occurs when the console window is closed or
the system is shutting down (however currently the system hangs while
executing the exit jobs).
-  Fixed handling of incomplete characters at end-of-file,
which are now handled like illegal characters (error signaled unless
char-encoding-errors setting is set to #f).
-  Fixed recently introduced bug in handling of end-of-line
encoding.
-  Added escaping of non-graphical characters in symbols:
(string->symbol (string (integer->char 255))) gives |\377| .
-  Protect gcc extension _builtin_expect with GCC version >= 3
because old gcc versions (up to 2.95.3 it seems) did not have that
extension.
-  Added char-encoding-errors: setting to open-file to
enable/disable character encoding error checking, and -:fr and -:fR
runtime options to select the default setting for file I/O (on/off).
-  Removed non-ASCII characters from lib/_num.scm .
-  Fixed error introduced with end-of-line encoding of the history
file.
-  Changed end-of-line encoding from lf to cr-lf when reading
source code. This makes the load procedure and the compiler more lenient
when reading source code with non-Unix-style end-of-line encoding. This
means that source code with a string containing a CR/LF sequence will
construct a string with a single #\newline character (previously both$
#\return and #\newline were put in the string).
-  Fixed compiler crash when compiling files containing the forms
#123, #, ##, etc (file location information was not properly attached to
expression)
-  Improve error messages produced by the C compiler when it
compiles a file generated by a different version of the Gambit compiler.

+ Updated x11/libdrm to 2.3.1 [bjs 2008-07-16]

(bjs)

2008-07-16 06:41:17 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to libdrm-2.3.1.  There is no up-to-date ChangeLog in the package
whatsoever, so I cannot include a list here (see GIT history if
you're curious).

NOTE: This version of libdrm no longer includes the TTM interface.
      If any [xorg/mesa] packages are updated to versions explicitly requiring
      libdrm-2.3.1, then BUILDLINK_API_DEPENDS for this package will
      need to be changed.  Also, the i915tex dri driver found in
      graphics/MesaLib will not build with this version--but nor was it
      supported on any platform except Linux.  I have remove i915tex
      from the MesaLib driver build; this should be enough to avoid problems.

libdrm-2.3.1 does not include the TTM interface, which will cause the
build of the i915tex driver to break (this driver was never supported
on any OS aside from linux, anyway).

updated devel/p5-AnyEvent to 4.9

(rhaen)

2008-07-15 20:37:07 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

- updated to 4.2
- removed unneeded dependencies
- fixed dbl entry for DESTDIR support
- took maintainership

ChangeLog:
4.2  Sat Jul 12 22:42:11 CEST 2008
- support an "interval" argument for repeating timers.
        - fix a bug in the pure perl event loop that caused timers to
          be delayed under some circumstances.
        - implement optional argument checking via PERL_ANYEVENT_STRICT.
- not importing anything from Event causes it to malfunction
          and not use Time::HiRes, work around this bug.
        - more bug workarounds against the endlessly broken Tk module,
          seems to work now on 32 bit machines, but less so on 64 bit.
        - minor optimisations applied to most backends.

4.161 Fri Jul  4 14:24:48 CEST 2008
        - fixed the t/handle/02_write.t, it read after write, with the
          assumption that all data could be written before read
          (reported by Jim Razmus).

4.160 Thu Jul  3 04:02:21 CEST 2008
- re-registering signal watchers after unregistering one did
          not work if a backend falls back on AnyEvent's default
          implementation (also affected child watchers).
- new AnyEvent::Handle options: autocork and no_delay.

4.152 Sun Jun 22 14:15:44 CEST 2008
- allow for 32-bit perls that implement shifts differently
          on different architectures in parse_ipv4 (reported and
          analysed by Keiichi DAIBA).

4.151 Fri Jun  6 17:34:24 CEST 2008
- make sure specifying _only_ on_read and never pushing reads
          works.

4.15 Fri Jun  6 13:00:46 CEST 2008
- the pure perl backend would keep some watchers alive when more than
          one watcher was registered for the same fd.
- new "packstring" and "storable" read and write types
          for AnyEvent::Handle.
        - allow on_eof handler to be called after on_error with EPIPE returns.
        - do not immediately call on_read callback in handle constructor.

4.14 Thu Jun  5 20:29:31 CEST 2008
        - Fixed a bug in DNS SRV priority sorting.
        - AnyEvent::Util::guard now reports runtime errors while
          executing the guard block as warnings.
        - handle 0-byte-reads just before EOF correctly in AnyEvent::Handle.

4.13 Thu Jun  5 00:47:59 CEST 2008
- AnyEvent::DNS only followed cname chains with length 2,
          contrary to documentation. bumped it up to 10, thanks to
          microsoft, the current broken-dns-config-king.
        - AnyEvent::DNS didn't check for socket return status
          but instead relied on perl not creating filehandles in that
          case - too bad it gives you a bogus file handle (reported
          and analysed by Vladimir Timofeev).
- fix queue management logic in AnyEvent::Handle:
          when on_read was registered, the queue was empty
          and no progress could be made AnyEvent::Handle would
          enter an endless loop.
        - correctly start reading again when the handle became
          busy again after idling.
        - correctly treat tls shut-downs as EOF condition
          (for the time being, would be nice to have a callback for that).
        - correctly call eof callback under all conditions
          (hopefully).
        - the timeout callback did not expect that $self can go
          away any time.

4.12 Tue Jun  3 10:58:04 CEST 2008
- include AnyEvent::Intro, a tutorial for anyevent,
          anyevent::socket and anyevent::handle.
        - allow more options in on_error.

4.11 Fri May 30 23:42:25 CEST 2008
        - INCOMPATIBLE CHANGE: replace ptr by real PTR lookup, provide
          reverse_lookup and reverse_verify to replace it, support
          v4mapped and v4compat addresses.
- provide more documentation for the resolver class.
        - really replace longest run of :0: by :: in format_address,
          also properly convert :: and ::1 again.
        - support NAPTR record name and decode it.
        - implement random weight sampling for SRV records, as per
          rfc 2782.
        - correctly abort on srv-record targets of ".".
        - added AnyEvent::DNS::wait_for_slot.
        - in the unlikely event of a virtual circuit connection
          being invalidated by a delayed udp reply, AnyEvent::DNS
          could die. this has been fixed.
        - plug a probable memleak in the DNS vc code.
        - use configured timeout also for VC request phase.
        - implement timeout and max_outstanding methods
          for resolver class.
        - update version numbers in all modules.

4.1  Thu May 29 05:45:40 CEST 2008
- INCOMPATIBLE CHANGE: renamed xxx_ip functions to xxx_address
          which mirrors their purpose better (old names still available
          for a while). Also moved AnyEvent::DNS::addr to
          AnyEvent::Socket::resolve_sockaddr.
- implement AnyEvent->time and AnyEvent->now.
        - fix IPv6 support in pack_sockaddr.
- officially un-experimentalise all newly introduced code.
        - support unix domain sockets everywhere by specifying
          a host of "unix/" and the pathname as service.
        - implement an activity timeout in AnyEvent::Handle.
- added a regex read type to AnyEvent::Handle.
- added a json read/write type to AnyEvent::Handle.
        - always croak in on_error in AnyEvent::Handle.
        - document how to subclass AnyEvent::Handle.
        - implement AnyEvent::Util::fork_call.
        - add support for IPv6 nameservers and nameserver statements.
        - work around _yet_ _another_ windows perl bug in where empty
          select masks cause errors in the pure perl backend (this
          workaround cannot be implemented for the other event loops,
          but EV also works around this).
        - supply AnyEvent::Socket::address_type and make good use of it.
        - clarify and fix the Handle documentation w.r.t $self vs. $handle
          vs. callback arguments.
- add some recommends to the META.yml.

4.05 Mon May 26 19:44:06 CEST 2008
        - some platforms ignore the rfc and prepend an extra sa_len member to
          the sockaddr structure, cater for those. also use sockaddr_family,
          didn't know it was there, but comes in handy for the workaround.
- undo the import WIN32 hack.

4.04 Mon May 26 08:03:31 CEST 2008
- try to work around yet another windows bug: failed connects are reported
          as if it were out-of-band data. windows users: you suck. Only
          EV, Glib, Event and the pure perl backend can handle this condition.
        - optimize write algorithm in AnyEvent::Handle.
- properly parse PERL_ANYEVENT_PROTOCOLS and use the info correctly.
        - tcp_connect now properly iterates through all targets.
- check wether IPv6 sockets can actually be created, otherwise, disable ipv6
          support entirely. also hardcode some AF_INET6 constants for the
          sake of perl 5.8.
        - vastly improved nameserver/suffix detection algorithm for windows
          (still a hack...)
        - try to use a fallback dns server if no dns servers could be found.
        - splatter around some local $SIG{__DIE__}'s to work around bad
          die handlers.

4.03 Sun May 25 05:05:57 CEST 2008
- work around perl bugs on windows, where perl returns undocumented
          error codes for sysread, syswrite etc.
- fix AnyEvent::Handle::unshift_read to really unshift and not push.
        - AnyEvent::Handle could sometimes stumble over 0-byte writes.
        - fix unpack_sockaddr, now works for AF_INET6 sockaddr's.
        - updated documentation.
        - lots of workarounds for perl 5.8 quirks.
        - implement a more flexible type system for both reads and writes
          in AnyEvent::Handle.
        - support IPv6 in tcp_server.
        - pass local hostname and port to the prepare callback in tcp_server.
        - make types extendable in AnyEvent::Handle.
        - croak, not die, in AnyEvent::Handle;

4.0  Sat May 24 19:58:08 CEST 2008
- added (experimental) AnyEvent::DNS module.
        - added (experimental) AnyEvent::Socket module.
        - added (experiemntal) support for TLS/SSL in AnyEvent::Handle.
        - make condvar->end call ->send as documented.
        - make condvar constructor support the documented cb => argument.
        - overload condvars so you can use them instead of code references.
        - support more of the POSIX forms instead of a pure dotted quad for
          verbatim ip addresses.
        - AnyEvent::Socket::inet_aton will use AnyEvent::DNS now and not fork anymore.
- try very hard not to freeze on broken windows perls.
        - make on_eof optional in AnyEvent::Handle.
- support service names in tcp_connect and tcp_server.
        - work around netbsd/openbsd bug causing unix sockets not to
          become writable until empty.
- only make a dummy read for error detection when getpeername
          returns ENOTCONN.
        - defend AnyEvent::Util::inet_aton against Coro::LWP brutal
          override.
        - new AnyEvent::Guard::cancel.

3.5  Sat May 17 23:17:14 CEST 2008
- gracefully deal with systems not defining CLOCK_MONOTONIC
          (as opposed to not supporting the clock itself, which worked in 3.41).
- added AnyEvent::Util::tcp_connect and AnyEvent::Util::tcp_server
          helpers, to replace the ill-designed AnyEvent::Socket class.
- added some examples (eg/connect, eg/handle).
- added AnyEvent::Util::guard.
        - AnyEvent::Util now exports most of its functions.
- fixed a bug in *_read_chunk, where the callback was called with $self as
          first and second argument.
        - simplified and fixed regex handling in AnyEvent::Handle::*_read_line.
- fix manpage condvars examples to use new syntax.
        - considerably improve inet_aton with EV::ADNS backend to support
          cname chains (common dns configuration bug, e.g. with www.google.de)
          and aaaa records if no a record could be found.

3.41 Sun May 11 19:53:13 CEST 2008
- work around a bug in perl 5.8.8's local. Reported by Yi Ma Mao.

3.4  Sun May 11 00:29:25 CEST 2008
- complete re-implementation of condvars with a hopefully much mroe useful
          API (backward compatible functions exist but are undocumented).
- AnyEvent::Handle fully rewritten with a hopefully more powerful API
          (still subject to change).
- take advantage of CLOCK_MONOTONIC, if available, in AnyEvent::Impl::Perl.
        - provide AnyEvent::post_detect and @AnyEvent::post_detect, which
          allows module authors to avoid forcing event loop detection.
          (used by Coro::AIO, Coro::BDB, Coro::AnyEvent for example).
        - remove coro backends: Coro now provides generic support for AnyEvent
          via Coro::AnyEvent.

3.3  Mon Apr 28 09:51:06 CEST 2008
        - added AnyEvent::Handle, AnyEvent::Socket and AnyEvent::Util modules.
        - fix a bug in the pure perl backend that kept watchers alive
          when multiple watchers were registered for the same fh/poll combo.
- add a benchmark section showing AnyEvent overhead and comparing
          the different event loops with each other.
        - prefer pure perl over tk when autoprobing, as it's about as fast,
          but doesn't crash with many watchers.
- declare Qt support non-experimental.
        - clarify the confusing section about the file descriptor being
          kept alive.
        - document the race between loading of an event module and
          child processes exiting.
        - support POE as "backend" (with some caveats, POE is not generic
          enough, and darn slow).
        - support Wx and Prima through POE.
        - optimise perl backend to use 20% less memory and take advantage
          of typical timeout behaviour. It can now compete with
          select/poll-based C event loops in most cases (it is usually
          faster than Event and Glib :).
        - roughly cut EV memory use in half and increase its speed by 30%,
          by removing undocumented functionality. Did something similar
          to other event loops where possible.

3.2  Thu Apr 24 10:10:40 CEST 2008
- do not die when anyevent watchers are destroyed while running callbacks
          in the pureperl backend (could only happen when two watchers are registered
          for the same fh/poll combo).
        - support autoloading for child watchers, was broken in all versions.
- implement PERL_ANYEVENT_MODEL env variable.
        - (experimental) implement interface to the (very crashy/buggy) Event::Lib module.
        - (experimental) implement interface to the Qt module (cannot be autoprobed).
        - this release is IO:AnyEvent-proof.

3.12 Tue Apr 22 07:11:46 CEST 2008
- reinstate AUTHOR section that got lost somehow.
        - do not hang in the testsuite with badly broken perls (activestate,
          strawberry...), but instead diagnose the problem and continue.
        - use INT instead of CHLD in an attempt to support broken windows perls
          better (this decreases the test quality, unfortunately).
        - do not send the signal to the process group
          (no problem for CHLD, bad for INT :).

3.11 Sat Apr 19 06:57:31 CEST 2008
- major documentation rework.
        - document the fact that child watchers only watch for zombies.
        - fix the child watcher example.

3.1  Wed Apr 16 17:09:01 CEST 2008
- work around recurring bugs in Tk by dup'ing filehandles, the
          only method with good success chances on Tk (the bugs apparently
          don't get fixed anytime soon).
        - lift the restriction of only one watcher per fh direction
          (as the Tk bug workaround also lifts it and only Tk imposed
          such strong limits).
        - changed probe order to prefer coro adaptors.
        - explain why recursion into the event loop is not supported
          unless the backend supports it (only Coro::EV does without
          any restrictions...).
        - add simple manpages for all backend modules.

3.0  Mon Apr  7 21:30:23 CEST 2008
- Coro::Signal changed semantics, roll our own, also cleaning
          up the Coro implementation in general.
        - rename Coro backend to CoroEvent.
        - add some decision helping paragraph to the manpage that should
          help people to decide whether AnyEvent is the right thing for them.

Added www/p5-Test-WWW-Mechanize-Catalyst version 0.42

Catalyst is an elegant MVC Web Application Framework. Test::WWW::Mechanize
is a subclass of WWW::Mechanize that incorporates features for web
application testing. The Test::WWW::Mechanize::Catalyst module
meshes the two to allow easy testing of Catalyst applications
without starting up a web server.

Testing web applications has always been a bit tricky, normally
starting a web server for your application and making real HTTP
requests to it. This module allows you to test Catalyst web
applications but does not start a server or issue HTTP requests.
Instead, it passes the HTTP request object directly to Catalyst.
Thus you do not need to use a real hostname: "http://localhost/"
will do.

Added www/p5-Catalyst-Runtime version 5.7014

Catalyst is an elegant web application framework, extremely flexible yet
extremely simple. It's similar to Ruby on Rails, Spring (Java) and
Maypole, upon which it was originally based.

Catalyst follows the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern, allowing
you to easily separate concerns, like content, presentation and flow control,
into separate modules. This separation allows you to modify code that handles
one concern without affecting code that handles the others. Catalyst promotes
re-use of existing Perl modules that already handle common web application
concerns well.

Added www/p5-Catalyst-Plugin-Session version 0.19

The Session plugin is the base of two related parts of functionality
required for session management in web applications.

The first part, the State, is getting the browser to repeat back a
session key, so that the web application can identify the client and
logically string several requests together into a session.

The second part, the Store, deals with the actual storage of information
about the client. This data is stored so that the it may be revived for
every request made by the same client.

This plugin links the two pieces together.

Added www/p5-Catalyst-Plugin-Authentication version 0.10006

The authentication plugin provides generic user support. It is the basis
for both authentication (checking the user is who they claim to be), and
authorization (allowing the user to do what the system authorises them
to do).

This is the Catalyst manual

Catalyst is a web application framework. This means that you use
it to help build applications that run on the web, or that run
using protocols used for the web. Catalyst is designed to make it
easy to manage the various tasks you need to do to run an application
on the web, either by doing them itself, or by letting you "plug
in" existing Perl modules that do what you need.

Added www/p5-Catalyst-Devel version 1.08

The Catalyst::Devel package includes a variety of modules useful
for the development of Catalyst applications, but not required to
run them. This is intended to make it easier to deploy Catalyst
apps. The runtime parts of Catalyst are now known as Catalyst::Runtime.

Catalyst::Devel includes the Catalyst::Helper system, which
autogenerates scripts and tests; Module::Install::Catalyst, a
Module::Install extension for Catalyst; and requirements for a
variety of development-related modules. The documentation remains
with Catalyst::Runtime.

Added www/p5-Catalyst-Controller-BindLex version 0.05

This plugin lets you put your lexicals on the stash and elsewhere
very easily.

It uses some funky modules to get it's job done: PadWalker,
Array::RefElem, Devel::Caller, Devel::LexAlias and attributes. In
some people's opinion this hurts this plugin's reputation ;-).

If you use the same name for two variables with the same storage
binding attribute they will be aliased to each other, so you can
use this for reading as well as writing values across controller
subs. This is almost like sharing your lexical scope.

sub bar : Local {
    my ( $self, $c ) = @_;

Added www/p5-Catalyst-Component-ACCEPT_CONTEXT version 0.05

Models and Views don't usually have access to the request object,
since they probably don't really need it. Sometimes, however, having
the request context available outside of Controllers makes your
application cleaner. If that's the case, just use this module as
a base class:

    package MyApp::Model::Foobar;
    use base qw|Catalyst::Component::ACCEPT_CONTEXT Catalyst::Model|;

Then, you'll be able to get the current request object from within
your model:

    sub do_something {
my $self = shift;
print "The current URL is ". $self->context->req->uri->as_string;
    }

Added databases/p5-CatalystX-CRUD version 0.27

CatalystX::CRUD provides a simple and generic API for Catalyst CRUD
applications. CatalystX::CRUD is agnostic with regard to data model
and data input, instead providing a common API that different
projects can implement for greater compatability with one another.

The project was born out of a desire to make Rose::HTML::Objects
easy to use with Rose::DB::Object and DBIx::Class ORMs, using the
Catalyst::Controller::Rose project. However, any ORM could implement
the CatalystX::CRUD::Model API, and any form management project
could use the resulting CatalystX::CRUD::Model subclass.

Updated devel/p5-Config-General to 2.40

2.40
- fixed SplitDelimiter parser regex, it does no more consider
  non-whitespaces (\S+?) as the option name but anything
  before the delimiter (.+?), this fixes bug rt.cpan.org#36607,
  the fix of 2.39 were not sufficient. Thanks to
  Jeffrey Ratcliffe for pointing it out.

- added new parameter -SaveSorted. The default value is 0,
  that means configs will be saved unsorted (as always),
  however if you want to save it sorted, turn this parameter
  to 1. Thanks to Herbert Breunung for the hint.

- added complexity test, which checks a combination
  of various complex features of the parser.

2.39
- fixed rt.cpan.org#35122. This one was one of the most
  intriguing bugs I've ever observed in my own code. The
  internal temporary __stack hashref were copied from one
  subhash to another to enable inheritance of variables.
  However, the hashes were copied by reference, so once a
  value changed later, that value were overwritten because
  the __stack in question were just a reference. I introduced
  a simple function _copy() which copies the contents of
  the __stack by value, which solved the bug.
  Conclusion: beware of perl hash refs!

- fixed rt.cpan.org#36607, accept whitespaces in heredoc
  names if split delimiter is gues (equalsign or whitespace)

- fixed rt.cpan.org#34080 (typo)

- fixed rt.cpan.org#35766. Variables inside single quoted
  strings will no more interpolated (as the docu states).
  Also added test case for this.

- fixed bug rt.cpan.org#33766. Checking for defined not true
  in ::Extended::AUTOLOAD().

- added -UTF8 flag, which opens files in utf8 mode
  (suggested by KAORU, rt.cpan.org#35583)
  I decided not to add a test case for this, since perls
  utf8 support is not stable with all versions.

2.38
- fixed rt.cpan.org#31529 variable inheritance failed
  with multiple named blocks.

- fixed rt.cpan.org#33447, regex to catch variable
  names were too strict, now - . + or : are allowed too.

- fixed rt.cpan.org#33385 and #32978 - using arrayrefs
  as param to -String didn't work anymore (sic)

- fixed rt.cpan.org#33216 - variable stack were not properly
  re-constructed for pre-existing variables if
  -MergeDuplicateOptions is turned on.

2.37
- "fixed" rt.cpan.org#30199 - check for invalid and
  unsupported structures, especially mixing blocks
  and scalars with identical names.

- added checks to 'make test' to test for the above
  checks.

- revoked patch of rt.cpan.org#27225, it broke running
  code.

- fixed rt.cpan.org#30063 (and #27225!) by reimplementing
  the whole interpolation code. The internal stack is
  no more a class variable of the module but stored
  directly within the generated config hash and cleaned
  before returning to the user.

- added (modified) patch rt.cpan.org#30063 to check
  if interpolation works with supplied default config
  works.

2.36
- oh my goodness! For some unknown reason I deleted the
  Makefile.PL before packaging. Dammit. So, here it is
  again.

2.35
- 'make test' failed under perl 5.5 because some prequisite
  modules were not found. So now I added all requirements
  to Makefile.PL, even if those modules are part of
  recent perls (beginning with 5.6). I could have also
  added a 'use 5.6' to the code but this would users
  of perl5 exclude. This way they have the possibility
  to fix their installation. Hopefully.

  No code changes otherwise.

2.34
        - fixed rt.cpan.org#27271 - removed output file from
          manifest.

- fixed rt.cpan.org#27225 - clear vars off the stack
          if entering a new block, so old vars get not re-used.

- fixed rt.cpan.org#27110 - re-implemented support
          for arrayref as -String parameter.

- fixed rt.cpan.org#24155 - relative include bug fixed.

- applied patch by GWYN, (see fixed rt.cpan.org#27622)
  which allows the same file included multiple times.
  there is no loop detection if turned on. new option
  introduced: -IncludeAgain => 1 (default turned off).

- added support for -IncludeAgain to directory include
  code too.

- the directory globbing code used slashes to join
  directory and file names. changed this to use catfile()
  instead.

2.33
- fixed rt.cpan.org#26333 - just return $con if env var
  is undefined.

- applied part of a patch supplied by Vincent Rivellino <vince@cuz.cx>
  which turns off explicit empty block support if in
  apache compatibility mode, see next.

- added new option -ApacheCompatible, which makes the
  module behave really apache compatible by setting the
  required options.

- a little bit re-organized the code, most of the stuff
  in new() is now outsourced into several extra subs to
  make maintenance of the code easier. The old new() sub
  in fact was a nightmare.

- fixed a bug reported by Otto Hirr <otto.hirr@olabinc.com>:
  the _store() sub used sort() to sort the keys, which conflicts
  with sorted hashes (eg. tied using Tie::IxHash).

- fixed tie bug reported by King, Jason <kingj@newsltd.com.au>,
  loading of the tie module didn't work.

Added www/p5-Rose-URI version 0.022

Rose::URI is an alternative to URI. Important differences include:

Rose::URI provides a rich set of query string manipulation methods.
Query parameters can be added, removed, and checked for their
existence. URI allows the entire query to be set or returned as a
whole via the query_form or query methods, and the URI::QueryParam
module provides a few more methods for query string manipulation.

Rose::URI supports query parameters with multiple values (e.g.
"a=1&a=2"). URI has limited support for this through query_form's
list return value. Better methods are available in URI::QueryParam.

Rose::URI uses Apache's C-based URI parsing and HTML escaping
functions when running in a mod_perl 1.x web server environment.

Rose::URI stores each URI "in pieces" (scheme, host, path, etc.)
and then assembles those pieces when the entire URI is needed as
a string. This technique is based on the assumption that the URI
will be manipulated many more times than it is stringified. If this
is not the case in your usage scenario, then URI may be a better
alternative.

Added www/p5-Rose-HTML-Objects version 0.554

The Rose::HTML::Object::* family of classes represent HTML tags,
or groups of tags. These objects allow HTML to be arbitrarily
manipulated, then serialized to actual HTML (or XHTML). Currently,
the process only works in one direction. Objects cannot be constructed
from their serialized representations. In practice, given the
purpose of these modules, this is not an important limitation.

Any HTML tag can theoretically be represented by a
Rose::HTML::Object-derived class, but this family of modules was
originally motivated by a desire to simplify the use of HTML forms.

The form/field object interfaces have been heavily abstracted to
allow for input and output filtering, inflation/deflation of values,
and compound fields (fields that contain other fields). The classes
are also designed to be subclassed. The creation of custom form
and field subclasses is really the "big win" for these modules.

There is also a simple image tag class which is useful for
auto-populating the width and height attributes of img tags. Future
releases may include object representations of other HTML tags.
Contributions are welcome.

Added databases/p5-DBIx-Class-Schema-Loader version 0.04005

DBIx::Class::Schema::Loader automates the definition of a
DBIx::Class::Schema by scanning table schemas and setting up columns and
primary keys.

DBIx::Class::Schema::Loader supports MySQL, Postgres, SQLite and DB2.
See DBIx::Class::Schema::Loader::Generic for more, and
DBIx::Class::Schema::Loader::Writing for notes on writing your own
db-specific subclass for an unsupported db.

This module requires DBIx::Class 0.05 or later, and obsoletes
DBIx::Class::Loader for DBIx::Class version 0.05 and later.

While on the whole, the bare table definitions are fairly straightforward,
relationship creation is somewhat heuristic, especially in the choosing
of relationship types, join types, and relationship names.  The relationships
generated by this module will probably never be as well-defined as
hand-generated ones.  Because of this, over time a complex project will
probably wish to migrate off of L<DBIx::Class::Schema::Loader>.

It is designed more to get you up and running quickly against an existing
database, or to be effective for simple situations, rather than to be what
you use in the long term for a complex database/project.

DBIx::Class::Loader automates the definition of DBIx::Class

This module is deprecated in favor of DBIx::Class::Schema::Loader
for use with DBIx::Class versions 0.05 and higher. It continues to
function as well as it ever did, even for recent DBIx::Class

but it doesn't use the now-preferred DBIx::Class::Schema way of
doing things, and tends to promote bad DBIx::Class usage habits.

This project is still at an early stage, so the maintainers don't make
any absolute promise that full backwards-compatibility will be
supported; however, if we can without compromising the improvements

Update to version 0.14.0+1.  This release brings us myriad bug fixes
plus some new features.

==========================================================================

Changes:
aria2-0.14.0+1

* Fixed the code that refers static member variable from
  non-static context.

Notes:
This release adds epoll support for linux and the ability to
limiting the number of files to be opened to support more than
1024 files in multi file torrent.
Several bugs in BitTorrent downloads are fixed.
From this release, aria2 downloads a file using 5 connections
in HTTP/FTP by default and the behavior of -s option has
changed. See the project web page for more details.

Changes:
aria2-0.14.0

* Changed -s options behavior. Now it means the number of connections
  made simultaneously in each http/ftp download.  If 1 URL is specified,
  the behavior is the same with old implementation.  If -s N is given
  and more than N URLs are specified, first N URLs are used and
  remaining URLs are used for backup. If less than N URLs are specified,
  some of URLs are used more than once so that totally N connections are
  made simultaneously.
* Changed default value of -s option from 1 to 5.
  Also max value of -s option is changed from 5 to 16.
* Reduced CPU usage on high load.
* Added epoll support.
* Fixed compile error on debian etch. BUG#1980766
* Added --bt-request-peer-speed-limit=SPEED option.
  In BitTorrent downloads, if the download speed is lower than SPEED,
  aria2 initiates and accepts connections ignoring max peer cap.
* Reduced read operation for hash calculation.
* Fixed the bug that aria2 cannot respond bttrack's nat check properly.
* Fixed the bug that HTTP downloads don't start with old libraries.
* Fixed the bug that aria2 aborts when a path to a directory is given in
  command-line.
* Added --bt-max-open-files option, which specifies maximum number of
  files toopen in each BitTorrent download. REQUEST#1811507

* Create only requested files and files which shares a piece with
  requested file in multi-torrent downloads. Directory structures are
  also created in the same rule.
* When there is not enough space in disk, aria2 prints error in the
  console and cancels that download. BUG#1640332

Update from version 1.604 to 1.605.  Changes:

Changes in DBI 1.605 XXX

Make trace level 2 show method entry but not fetched rows, leave that
for trace level 3.  So trace level 2 can be used to aid debugging with-
out being flooded by data

  1 = return from top level only, no rows
  2 = +entry to top level, no rows
  3 = +return from nested, no rows
  4 = +entry to nested, with rows

Fixed broken DBIS macro with threads on big-endian machines
  with 64bit ints but 32bit pointers. Ticket #32309.
Fixed the selectall_arrayref, selectrow_arrayref, and selectrow_array
  methods that get embedded into compiled drivers to use the
  inner sth handle when passed a $sth instead of an sql string.
  Drivers will need to be recompiled to pick up this change.
Fixed leak in neat() for some kinds of values thanks to Rudolf Lippan.
Fixed DBI::PurePerl neat() to behave more like XS neat().

Increased default $DBI::neat_maxlen from 400 to 1000.
Increased timeout on tests to accomodate very slow systems.
Changed behaviour of trace levels 1..4 to show less information
  at lower levels.
Changed the format of the key used for $h->{CachedKids}
  (which is undocumented so you shouldn't depend on it anyway)
Changed gofer error handling to avoid duplicate error text in errstr.
Clarified docs re ":N" style placeholders.
Improved gofer retry-on-error logic and refactored to aid subclassing.
Improved gofer trace output in assorted ways.

Removed the beeps "\a" from Makefile.PL warnings.
Removed check for PlRPC-modules from Makefile.PL

Added sorting of ParamValues reported by ShowErrorStatement
  thanks to to Rudolf Lippan.
Added cache miss trace message to DBD::Gofer transport class.
Added $drh->dbixs_revision method.
Added explicit LICENSE specification (perl) to META.yaml

Note update of databases/p5-SQL-Abstract to 1.24.

Update from version 1.21 to 1.24.  Changes:

1.24 2008-07-09
- Ripped out all 1.23 changes
        - Re-releasing 1.22 with DBIx::Class as maintainer

1.23 ????-??-??
1) Large patch by Laurent Dami to add all of the
following functionality:

- support for nested subqueries (see the doc for explanations)
- +/- prefixes in C<@order> columns, meaning 'ASC' or 'DESC'
- documentation :
    - added an explanation about flexibility of argument types
      (passing scalars instead of hashrefs/arrayrefs)
    - added an example of a boolean column (through ref to empty
      string)
    - mentioned that select() can take an arrayref of tables
    - added explanation of +/- prefixes in C<@order>
    - WHERE section structured into subsections
    - new subsection for nested queries
    - suppressed the NOTES section about Morgan laws, because
      subqueries provide support for compound logic statements.

These changes enable additional functionality in DBIx::DataModel
as well.

2) Patch by Robbie Bow to enable "quote_char" to take
an array ref.  This fixes an issue to MS SQL Server,
since it requires that columns and tables be quoted with
surrounding [square brackets]

3) Patch by Norbert BUCHMULLER to enable the use of
the old-school-SQL operator for not-equal ('<>')
could be used for the 'IS NOT NULL' expression:

  foo => { '<>' => undef }

This now properly generates:

  foo IS NOT NULL

1.22 changes unknown (1.22 changelog empty)

2008-07-14 18:18:17 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update from version 0.25 to 1.05.  Changes:

1.05 Sat Aug 12 17:28:41 EDT 2006
Run correctly on Windows platforms under Perl 5.8.8.

1.03-1.04 Fri Dec  2 10:44:35 EST 2005
Various fixes to compile cleanly on Windows platforms.

1.02 Thu Nov 17 12:04:21 EST 2005
Skip regression test #4 (mcast_drop) because it always fails
on windows platforms. This
should not affect functionality, as the test asks
mcast_drop() to return a false value when dropping
an address twice.

1.01 July 5, 2005
All symbols now in IO::Socket::Multicast package
            (some were in IO::Socket in previous versions)
Incorporates patches to compile cleanly on Win32 systems,
contributed by Thomas Kratz.

1.00 April 9, 2005
Reconstructed module after CVS server crash.
Fixed documentation errors

Update p5-IO-Interface from 1.03 to 1.05.  Changes:

1.05    Fri Jun  6 11:53:21 EDT 2008
        Fix from Mitsuru Yoshida to compile on FreeBSD.

1.04 Wed Dec 26 13:38:53 EST 2007
Fix from John Lightsey to avoid dmesg warnings on BSD systems.

Also need a local patch because NetBSD doesn't set the address family
on the "netmask" address, apparently this originates from ifconfig.
Work around that by just setting the address family field after ioctl()
and before checking it...

Don't build this with Universal Binary support under Mac OS X. It breaks
(at least) the GTK+ 2.x which is a known issue, see
http://trac.macports.org/ticket/15816 for more details.
