Updated devel/memcached to 1.4.17

(wiz)

2014-01-02 18:34:51 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.4.17:

1.4.17:

Another bugfix release along with some minor new features. Most
notable is a potential fix for a crash bug that has plagued the
last few versions. If you see crashes with memcached, please try
this version and let us know if you still see crashes.

The other notable bug is a SASL authentication bypass glitch. If
a client makes an invalid request with SASL credentials, it will
initially fail. However if you issue a second request with bad SASL
credentials, it will authenticate. This has now been fixed.

1.4.16:
A quick bugfix release to get the tree moving again after a long
absence. I don't want to make too many changes at once, so here
are a number of platform and crash fixes, as well as some introspection.

Updated devel/pcre to 8.34

(wiz)

2014-01-02 18:28:24 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 8.34:

Release 8.34 15-December-2013
-----------------------------

As well as fixing the inevitable bugs, performance has been improved by
refactoring and extending the amount of "auto-possessification" that PCRE does.
Other notable changes:

.  Implemented PCRE_INFO_MATCH_EMPTY, which yields 1 if the pattern can match
  an empty string. If it can, pcretest shows this in its information output.

.  A back reference to a named subpattern when there is more than one of the
  same name now checks them in the order in which they appear in the pattern.
  The first one that is set is used for the reference. Previously only the
  first one was inspected. This change makes PCRE more compatible with Perl.

.  Unicode character properties were updated from Unicode 6.3.0.

.  The character VT has been added to the set of characters that match \s and
  are generally treated as white space, following this same change in Perl
  5.18. There is now no difference between "Perl space" and "POSIX space".

.  Perl has changed its handling of \8 and \9. If there is no previously
  encountered capturing group of those numbers, they are treated as the
  literal characters 8 and 9 instead of a binary zero followed by the
  literals. PCRE now does the same.

.  Following Perl, added \o{} to specify codepoints in octal, making it
  possible to specify values greater than 0777 and also making them
  unambiguous.

.  In UCP mode, \s was not matching two of the characters that Perl matches,
  namely NEL (U+0085) and MONGOLIAN VOWEL SEPARATOR (U+180E), though they
  were matched by \h.

.  Add JIT support for the 64 bit TileGX architecture.

.  Upgraded the handling of the POSIX classes [:graph:], [:print:], and
  [:punct:] when PCRE_UCP is set so as to include the same characters as Perl
  does in Unicode mode.

.  Perl no longer allows group names to start with digits, so I have made this
  change also in PCRE.

.  Added support for [[:<:]] and [[:>:]] as used in the BSD POSIX library to
  mean "start of word" and "end of word", respectively, as a transition aid.

Bugs fixed
----------

  locale.

  other blocks. Thanks to Michael Schlenker.

  exception.

Release 1.2 beta2 (released Sep 17, 2013)
=========================================

Features added
--------------

* ``apidoc`` now ignores "_private" modules by default, and has an option ``-P``

* PR#99: the :rst:dir:`seealso` directive now generates admonition nodes instead
  of the custom ``seealso`` node.

Features added
--------------

* Markup

  - The :rst:dir:`toctree` directive and the ``toctree()`` template function now
    have an ``includehidden`` option that includes hidden toctree entries (bugs
    #790 and #1047).  A bug in the ``maxdepth`` option for the ``toctree()``
    template function has been fixed (bug #1046).
  - PR#99: Strip down seealso directives to normal admonitions.  This removes
    their unusual CSS classes (admonition-see-also), inconsistent LaTeX
    admonition title ("See Also" instead of "See also"), and spurious indentation
    in the text builder.

* HTML builder

  - #783: Create a link to full size image if it is scaled with width or height.
  - #1067: Improve the ordering of the JavaScript search results: matches in titles
    come before matches in full text, and object results are better categorized.
    Also implement a pluggable search scorer.
  - #1053: The "rightsidebar" and "collapsiblesidebar" HTML theme options now work
    together.
  - Update to jQuery 1.7.1 and Underscore.js 1.3.1.

* Texinfo builder

  - An "Index" node is no longer added when there are no entries.
  - "deffn" categories are no longer capitalized if they contain capital
    letters.
  - ``desc_annotation`` nodes are now rendered.
  - ``strong`` and ``emphasis`` nodes are now formatted like
    ``literal``\s. The reason for this is because the standard Texinfo markup
    (``*strong*`` and ``_emphasis_``) resulted in confusing output due to the
    common usage of using these constructs for documenting parameter names.
  - Field lists formatting has been tweaked to better display
    "Info field lists".
  - ``system_message`` and ``problematic`` nodes are now formatted in a similar
    fashion as done by the text builder.
  - "en-dash" and "em-dash" conversion of hyphens is no longer performed in
    option directive signatures.
  - ``@ref`` is now used instead of ``@pxref`` for cross-references which
    prevents the word "see" from being added before the link (does not affect
    the Info output).
  - The ``@finalout`` command has been added for better TeX output.
  - ``transition`` nodes are now formatted using underscores ("_") instead of
    asterisks ("*").
  - The default value for the ``paragraphindent`` has been changed from 2 to 0
    meaning that paragraphs are no longer indented by default.
  - #1110: A new configuration value :confval:`texinfo_no_detailmenu` has been
    added for controlling whether a ``@detailmenu`` is added in the "Top"
    node's menu.
  - Detailed menus are no longer created except for the "Top" node.
  - Fixed an issue where duplicate domain indices would result in invalid
    output.

* LaTeX builder:

  - PR#115: Add ``'transition'`` item in :confval:`latex_elements` for
    customizing how transitions are displayed. Thanks to Jeff Klukas.
  - PR#114: The LaTeX writer now includes the "cmap" package by default. The
    ``'cmappkg'`` item in :confval:`latex_elements` can be used to control this.
    Thanks to Dmitry Shachnev.
  - The ``'fontpkg'`` item in :confval:`latex_elements` now defaults to ``''``
    when the :confval:`language` uses the Cyrillic script.  Suggested by Dmitry
    Shachnev.
  - The :confval:`latex_documents`, :confval:`texinfo_documents`, and
    :confval:`man_pages` configuration values will be set to default values based
    on the :confval:`master_doc` if not explicitly set in :file:`conf.py`.
    Previously, if these values were not set, no output would be genereted by
    their respective builders.

* Internationalization:

  - Add i18n capabilities for custom templates.  For example: The Sphinx
    reference documentation in doc directory provides a ``sphinx.pot`` file with
    message strings from ``doc/_templates/*.html`` when using ``make gettext``.

* Other builders:

  - Added the Docutils-native XML and pseudo-XML builders.  See
    :class:`XMLBuilder` and :class:`PseudoXMLBuilder`.
  - PR#45: The linkcheck builder now checks ``#anchor``\ s for existence.
  - PR#123, #1106: Add :confval:`epub_use_index` configuration value.  If
    provided, it will be used instead of :confval:`html_use_index` for epub
    builder.
  - PR#126: Add :confval:`epub_tocscope` configuration value. The setting
    controls the generation of the epub toc. The user can now also include
    hidden toc entries.
  - PR#112: Add :confval:`epub_show_urls` configuration value.

* Extensions:

  - PR#52: ``special_members`` flag to autodoc now behaves like ``members``.
  - PR#47: Added :mod:`sphinx.ext.linkcode` extension.
  - PR#25: In inheritance diagrams, the first line of the class docstring
    is now the tooltip for the class.

* Command-line interfaces:

  - PR#75: Added ``--follow-links`` option to sphinx-apidoc.
  - #869: sphinx-build now has the option :option:`-T` for printing the full
    traceback after an unhandled exception.
  - sphinx-build now supports the standard :option:`--help` and
    :option:`--version` options.
  - sphinx-build now provides more specific error messages when called with
    invalid options or arguments.
  - sphinx-build now has a verbose option :option:`-v` which can be repeated for
    greater effect.  A single occurrance provides a slightly more verbose output
    than normal.  Two or more occurrences of this option provides more detailed
    output which may be useful for debugging.

* Locales:

  - PR#74: Fix some Russian translation.
  - PR#54: Added Norwegian bokmaal translation.
  - PR#35: Added Slovak translation.
  - PR#28: Added Hungarian translation.
  - #1113: Add Hebrew locale.
  - #1097: Add Basque locale.
  - #1037: Fix typos in Polish translation. Thanks to Jakub Wilk.
  - #1012: Update Estonian translation.

* Optimizations:

  - Speed up building the search index by caching the results of the word
    stemming routines.  Saves about 20 seconds when building the Python
    documentation.
  - PR#108: Add experimental support for parallel building with a new
    :option:`-j` option.

Documentation
-------------

* PR#88: Added the "Sphinx Developer's Guide" (:file:`doc/devguide.rst`)
  which outlines the basic development process of the Sphinx project.
* Added a detailed "Installing Sphinx" document (:file:`doc/install.rst`).

Bugs fixed
----------

* PR#124: Fix paragraphs in versionmodified are ignored when it has no
  dangling paragraphs.  Fix wrong html output (nested ``<p>`` tag).  Fix
  versionmodified is not translatable.  Thanks to Nozomu Kaneko.
* PR#111: Respect add_autodoc_attrgetter() even when inherited-members is set.
  Thanks to A. Jesse Jiryu Davis.
* PR#97: Fix footnote handling in translated documents.
* Fix text writer not handling visit_legend for figure directive contents.
* Fix text builder not respecting wide/fullwidth characters: title underline
  width, table layout width and text wrap width.
* Fix leading space in LaTeX table header cells.
* #1132: Fix LaTeX table output for multi-row cells in the first column.
* #1128: Fix Unicode errors when trying to format time strings with a
  non-standard locale.
* #1127: Fix traceback when autodoc tries to tokenize a non-Python file.
* #1126: Fix double-hyphen to en-dash conversion in wrong places such as
  command-line option names in LaTeX.
* #1123: Allow whitespaces in filenames given to :rst:dir:`literalinclude`.
* #1120: Added improvements about i18n for themes "basic", "haiku" and
  "scrolls" that Sphinx built-in. Thanks to Leonardo J. Caballero G.
* #1118: Updated Spanish translation. Thanks to Leonardo J. Caballero G.
* #1117: Handle .pyx files in sphinx-apidoc.
* #1112: Avoid duplicate download files when referenced from documents in
  different ways (absolute/relative).
* #1111: Fix failure to find uppercase words in search when
  :confval:`html_search_language` is 'ja'. Thanks to Tomo Saito.
* #1108: The text writer now correctly numbers enumerated lists with
  non-default start values (based on patch by Ewan Edwards).
* #1102: Support multi-context "with" statements in autodoc.
* #1090: Fix gettext not extracting glossary terms.
* #1074: Add environment version info to the generated search index to avoid
  compatibility issues with old builds.
* #1070: Avoid un-pickling issues when running Python 3 and the saved
  environment was created under Python 2.
* #1069: Fixed error caused when autodoc would try to format signatures of
  "partial" functions without keyword arguments (patch by Artur Gaspar).
* #1062: sphinx.ext.autodoc use __init__ method signature for class signature.
* #1055: Fix web support with relative path to source directory.

(wiz)

2014-01-02 17:51:14 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 3.01a20:

All:

- New Schily Makefiles rules for armv7l-linux

- autoconf/xconfig.h.in now treats MinGW32 the same as when compiling
with cl.exe

Libschily:

- libschily::format.c (printf) now supports length modifiers
like h hh l ll t z for the %n format.

- libschily::format.c has been restructured for parsing the
field width parameters in a way that would allow to later
introduce support for %n$

- Try to take care about the fact that MinGW32 does not support
a standard compliant mkdir() function with two parameters.
This applies top libschily/mkdirat.c and libschily/mkdirs.c

- Corrected a typo in libschily/mkfifoat.c that called mkdir()
instead of mkfifo()

- libschily/getdtablesize.c needs the same treatment for MinGW32 as for
cl.exe

Libparanoia (Ported/enhanced by Jrg Schilling, originated by Monty xiphmont@mit.edu):

- libparanoia now implements the first stage in C2 error pointer
support: it now is able to deal with input data that contains
C2 pointers and it implements new callbacks to report C2
statistics back to the caller.

- libparanoia now supports to control the size of the read ahead buffer.
This allows libparanoia to be adopted to the current constraints.

Update to 1.6.0:

Noteworthy changes in version 1.6.0 (2013-12-16)
------------------------------------------------

* Removed the long deprecated gcry_ac interface.  Thus Libgcrypt is
  not anymore ABI compatible to previous versions if they used the ac
  interface.

* Removed the module register subsystem.

* The deprecated message digest debug macros have been removed.  Use
  gcry_md_debug instead.

* Removed deprecated control codes.

* Improved performance of most cipher algorithms as well as for the
  SHA family of hash functions.

* Added support for the IDEA cipher algorithm.

* Added support for the Salsa20 and reduced Salsa20/12 stream ciphers.

* Added limited support for the GOST 28147-89 cipher algorithm.

* Added support for the GOST R 34.11-94 and R 34.11-2012 (Stribog)
  hash algorithms.

* Added a random number generator to directly use the system's RNG.
  Also added an interface to prefer the use of a specified RNG.

* Added support for the SCRYPT algorithm.

* Mitigated the Yarom/Falkner flush+reload side-channel attack on RSA
  secret keys.  See <http://eprint.iacr.org/2013/448> [CVE-2013-4242].

* Added support for Deterministic DSA as per RFC-6969.

* Added support for curve Ed25519.

* Added a scatter gather hash convenience function.

* Added support for negative numbers to gcry_mpi_print,
  gcry_mpi_aprint and gcry_mpi_scan.

* The algorithm ids GCRY_PK_ECDSA and GCRY_PK_ECDH are now
  deprecated.  Use GCRY_PK_ECC if you need an algorithm id.

* Changed gcry_pk_genkey for "ecc" to only include the curve name and
  not the parameters.  The flag "param" may be used to revert this.

* Added a feature to globally disable selected hardware features.

* Added debug helper functions.

Updated devel/dmake to 4.12.2

(wiz)

2013-12-31 18:05:55 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 4.12.2, from Kai-Uwe Eckhardt in private mail.

Version 4.12
============

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i83540# Add parallel building mode, see the MULTI PROCESSING section in
the dmake man page, for native W32 dmake (MSVC 6, and newer and MinGW)
versions.

Version 4.11
============

Yuri Dario (ydario@openoffice.org)
#i81855, CWS os2port01# Port dmake to OS/2.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i81252# Add a new control macro SHELLCMDQUOTE that can be used to add
additional characters before and after the command string if the recipe is
executed using a shell. This macro is used to avoid problems with quoting
when using cmd.exe or command.com.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i81296, i64572# Improve dependency handling of prerequisites.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i80687, i66751# Allow the use of .PHONY for %-targets.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i80010, i80009# Fix handling of quoted filenames for :1 :b :d :e :f
and :i macro expansions.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i78776# Add a new function macro $(normpath[,para] data) and a new macro
extension to normalise the given data or macro content. The normalization
is done element-wise (whitespace separated) on the given data. Quotes can
be used to normalize filenames that contain whitespace characters.
On cygwin the result honors the setting of .WINPATH to determine the output
format. If the optional parameter para is given for the function macro its
expanded value is used to override the .WINPATH setting for the output.

Version 4.10 (skipped)
======================

This number was skipped to avoid confusion with Version 4.1, patch level 0
which identified itself as "Version 4.10, PL 0".

Version 4.9
===========

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i74700#  Add a new special macro OOODMAKEMODE that is used to toggle
OOo build specific behavior. If OOODMAKEMODE is set (i.e. it begins with y)
a possible leading ./ of a path will no longer be removed during target
normalization.

Version 4.8
===========

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i73499#  Add new .WINPATH attribute to generate Windows style paths (with
regular slashes) instead of the default cygwin style (POSIX) paths for
dmake's dynamic macros.

This attribute is specific for cygwin dmake executables and non-cygwin
environments ignore this attribute. This feature can be used to create DOS
style path parameters for native W32 programs from dynamic macros.

The windows style paths use regular slashes ('/') instead of the usual
windows backslash ('\') as directory separator to avoid quoting problems
(It still is a cygwin dmake feature!) and cygwin as well as native windows
programs should have no problems using this (c:/foo/bar) path
representation.

The affected macros are $@, $*, $>, $?, $<, $&, $^ and $(PWD), $(MAKEDIR)
and $(TMD).

Examples:
  Content of $(PWD) without .WINPATH (default):  /cygdrive/c/temp

  Content of $(PWD) with .WINPATH set:          c:/temp

Version 4.7
===========

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i71422# Add @@ as a new recipe line property. This new property is a
stronger version of the already existing @ recipe property.  The recipe
line and the output (stdout and stderr) of the executed recipe are suppressed
and *NOT* shown on the terminal.
Note: Previously the second @ sign was ignored, that means that using this
new feature doesn't break backwards compatibility but the command output
is naturally not suppressed in older versions.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i70210# Dmake now works correctly with empty dynamic prerequisites.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i70168# Improve dmakes handling of literal $ characters in target and
prerequisite filenames. This was not working before and is working now
but the use of literal $ characters in filenames is still strongly
discouraged. See the man page for details.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i69742# Normalize the pathnames of targets and prerequisites to the shortest
(or most natural, see below for the cygwin case) representation.
Now "./foo", "bar/../foo" and foo are recognized as the same file.

For cygwin this allows the use of target and prerequisite names with DOS
like pathnames with drive letters (with / and \ as possible path seperators)
and cygwin POSIX pathnames. As the internal format uses cygwin's natural
POSIX representation runtime macros will result in POSIX paths.

Version 4.6
===========

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i67589# Implement the internal dmake commands noop and echo. These commands
were already existing for the native Windows version but only partially
documented.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i67166# Issue a warning when a previously unset macro (i.e. assumed to be
empty) is used and later set to a different value.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i66567# Issue a warning when .SUFFIXES is used. This special target had no
special meaning (anymore?) and was always (at least since version 4.2)
ignored.

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i67025# Fix a bug that was introduced in dmake 4.5 and led dmake to falsely
issue an error if a %-target was defined with the .SILENT attribute and dmake
was started with the -vr (included in -v) verbose flag.

Version 4.5
===========

Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i66385# Fix the handling of .<suffix> targets. Always treat these targets
as meta targets regardless of the AUGMAKE (-A) status. Previously this was
enabled when the AUGMAKE was *not* set to 'yes' or the -A switch was given.

#i66083# We now stop with an error if AUGMAKE meta targets and regular
targets are used in one rule definition. As the syntax of these target
definitions is slightly different this hints to an error in the makefile,
most probably a misspelled attribute or special target.

#i48087#, #i64869# The parsing of %-target definitions was fixed and
enhanced. Prior to dmake 4.5 only one %-target per target-definition worked
reliably, now this works well, but to help projects that still use older
versions a warning was added.

It's not very nice to issue a warning for something that works now but
didn't before. This was only done to aid development and will probably
be removed in future versions.

There was, and still is, that for a bug in dmake for %-targets with more
than one (not indirect) prerequisite only the first prerequisite is used.
This will be fixed in future versions but until this happens we issue a
warning that prerequisites are ignored.

#i65122# The :| rule operator was handled differently from what the man
page said. The man page was adapted to reflect reality. Changing dmakes
behavior to match the man page would have introduced a lot of compatibility
issues.

Version 4.4
===========

2006/02/03 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i61170# Fix the TMD macro. Up to now the TMD macro appended a directory
separator if it ended in "..", but most of the time it was not set correctly
at all and/or without a trailing slash.
Note: If your application relies on TMD please check the dmake manual page
for its definition and fix your makefiles if needed.

2006/02/01 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i60948# Add -m option family to generate timing information for targets
and/or recipes.

2005/09/19 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i53148# Fix $(shell ...) macro picking up the output of earlier
recipe lines in parallel builds.
#i54766# Ensure that all previous recipe lines to a recipe
line containing a $(shell ...) macro have finished before executing
the macro in parallel builds.

2005/06/01 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i39248# Add a testsuite to test some dmake features (only for autotools
builds). Start the tests with "make check".

2005/04/21 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i47851# Increase the version number to 4.4-cvs and slightly rearrange the
output of "dmake -V".
Remove the hard-coded (in autotools builds) OS macro. It had the wrong value
to be usable with the startup/*.mk and is not mentioned in the man page.
Clean up configure.in and friends.

2005/04/20 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i43310# Fix percent (%) rules to recognize prerequisites that are defined
with the multiple target rule operator (::).
This implicitly fixes the similar problem for .<suffix>.<suffix> targets.

2005/04/16 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i46987# Fix the documentation of the $(mktmp ...) function macro. This is
not necessarily a new feature as the macro works this way since dmake was
imported into the OpenOffice.org cvs but mentioning it here might help users
of dmake upgrading from very old versions.

Add the "map escape codes" $(...:m) macro expansion that allows to expand
escape codes in macros.  It can also be used to reproduce the former (pre
OpenOffice.org cvs) $(mktmp ...) behavior.

2005/04/10 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i43252# Introduce the macro ABSMAKECMD that's value for a native Windows
dmake executable (compiled with MS Visual C++ or MinGW) is the absolute
filename and NULL for other operating systems or dmake build with other
compilers.
If DMAKEROOT is not changed and only for native Windows dmake versions the
value of DMAKEROOT now defaults to "$(ABSMAKECMD:d)startup".
This allows to use the startup files from the startup directory from the
same location where the dmake.exe is located.

2005/04/08 Steve Hay (shay@openoffice.org)
#i43241# Fix build problems with VC++ (in non-OOo environment) and fix
the dmake makefiles so that dmake can rebuild itself (VC++ only).

2005/03/14 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i44959# Fix problems when a continued line is followed by an empty
or comment line.

2005/03/13 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i37053# Fix function macro problems with continued lines.

2004/11/23 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i37491# Predefine dmake macro containing one space (SPACECHAR).

2004/11/21 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i36027# Improve function macro parameter parsing.

Version 4.3
===========

2004/10/07 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i34746# Fix timestamp of phony targets with prerequisites.

2004/07/11 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i31255# Add verbose recipe echoing option (-vr).

2004/07/06 Volker Quetschke (vq@openoffice.org)
#i30779# Fix to allow dmake to echo recipe lines when inference is used
to create files that are to be read by .INCLUDE.

2004/04/01 Michael Meeks (mmeeks@openoffice.org)
#i27319#, #i27981# Don't handle environment variables that begin with a
'!', they are used by Cygwin internally and confuse dmake.

2004/01/09 Dan Williams (fa@openoffice.org)
#i17992# Allows the nesting of expressions and a much more complex syntax
for dmake. It is now possible to nest expressions with () and any

(wiz)

2013-12-31 17:30:14 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.14.1:

New in 1.14.1:

* Bugs fixed:

  - The user is no longer allowed to override the --srcdir nor the --prefix
    configure options used by "make distcheck" (bug#14991).

  - Fixed a gross inefficiency in the recipes for installing byte-compiled
    python files, that was causing an O(N^2) performance on the number N of
    files, instead of the expected O(N) performance.  Note that this bug
    was only relevant when the number of python files was high (which is
    unusual in practice).

  - Automake try to offer a more reproducible output for warning messages,
    in the face of the newly-introduced randomization for hash keys order
    in Perl 5.18.

  - The 'test-driver' script now actually error out with a clear error
    message on the most common invalid usages.

  - Several spurious failures/hangs in the testsuite (bugs #14706, #14707,
    #14760, #14911, #15181, #15237).

* Documentation fixes:

  - Fixed typos in the 'fix-timestamp.sh' example script that made it
    nonsensical.

Updated graphics/png to 1.6.8

(wiz)

2013-12-31 17:27:48 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.6.8:

Version 1.6.8beta01 [November 24, 2013]
  Moved prototype for png_handle_unknown() in pngpriv.h outside of
    the #ifdef PNG_SET_UNKNOWN_CHUNKS_SUPPORTED/#endif block.
  Added "-Wall" to CFLAGS in contrib/pngminim/*/makefile
  Conditionally compile some unused functions reported by -Wall in
    pngminim.
  Fixed 'minimal' builds. Various obviously useful minimal configurations
    don't build because of missing contrib/libtests test programs and
    overly complex dependencies in scripts/pnglibconf.dfa. This change
    adds contrib/conftest/*.dfa files that can be used in automatic build
    scripts to ensure that these configurations continue to build.
  Enabled WRITE_INVERT and WRITE_PACK in contrib/pngminim/encoder.
  Fixed pngvalid 'fail' function declaration on the Intel C Compiler.
    This reverts to the previous 'static' implementation and works round
    the 'unused static function' warning by using PNG_UNUSED().

Version 1.6.8beta02 [November 30, 2013]
  Removed or marked PNG_UNUSED some harmless "dead assignments" reported
    by clang scan-build.
  Changed tabs to 3 spaces in png_debug macros and changed '"%s"m'
    to '"%s" m' to improve portability among compilers.
  Changed png_free_default() to free() in pngtest.c

Version 1.6.8rc01 [December 12, 2013]
  Tidied up pngfix inits and fixed pngtest no-write builds.

Version 1.6.8rc02 [December 14, 2013]
  Handle zero-length PLTE chunk or NULL palette with png_error()
    instead of png_chunk_report(), which by default issues a warning
    rather than an error, leading to later reading from a NULL pointer
    (png_ptr->palette) in png_do_expand_palette(). This is CVE-2013-6954
    and VU#650142.

Version 1.6.8 [December 19, 2013]

Update to 1.12.3:

Changes in version 1.12.3, released on December 31, 2013

* In the mdoc(7) SYNOPSIS, line breaks and hanging indentation
  now work correctly for .Fo/.Fa/.Fc and .Fn blocks.
  Thanks to Franco Fichtner for doing part of the work.
* The mdoc(7) .Bk macro got some addititonal bugfixes.
* In mdoc(7) macro arguments, double quotes can now be quoted
  by doubling them, just like in man(7).
  Thanks to Tsugutomo ENAMI for the patch.
* At the end of man(7) macro lines, end-of-sentence spacing
  now works.  Thanks to Franco Fichtner for the patch.
* For backward compatibility, the man(7) parser now supports the
  man-ext .UR/.UE (uniform resource identifier) block macros.
* The man(7) parser now handles closing blocks that are not open
  more gracefully.
* The man(7) parser now ignores blank lines right after .SH and .SS.
* In the man(7) formatter, reset indentation when leaving a block,
  not just when entering the next one.
* The roff(7) .nr request now supports incrementing and decrementing
  number registers and stops parsing the number right before the
  first non-digit character.
* The roff(7) parser now supports the alternative escape sequence
  syntax \C'uXXXX' for Unicode characters.
* The roff(7) parser now parses and ignores the .fam (font family)
  and .hw (hyphenation points) requests and the \d and \u escape
  sequences.
* The roff(7) manual got a new ESCAPE SEQUENCE REFERENCE.

Updated sysutils/bup to 0.25

(wiz)

2013-12-31 11:03:12 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 0.25:

This release includes a veritable ton of work, but the biggest change
is probably the addition of real (YMMV) metadata support, including
hardlinks, and the ability to directly save/restore trees without tar
and split/join.  See bup-index(1), bup-save(1), bup-restore(1),
bup-meta(1), bup-xstat(1), and the updated "Using bup" section in the
README.

Note though, that the metadata support really is our first pass, and
there are already things that we know need fixing (i.e. better support
for cross-filesystem-type save/restore (too noisy), etc.).  And check
the "Notes on ..." sections in the README for some platform-specific
limitations.

An incomplete list of other notable changes since 0.24b:

  - bup will no longer create ~/.bup implicitly; "bup init" is
    required.

  - "bup split" now supports a compression-level option (-#).

  - "bup tag" now supports "-f".

  - "bup ls" now supports "-a", "-s", "--human-readable", etc., and
    reports more information.

  - "bup web" now supports "--human-readable".

  - "bup import-rdiff-backup" has been added.

  - "bup cat-file" has been added.

  - The default "/usr" installation prefix can be overridden via PREFIX.

  - Python 2.4 is no longer supported.

And we have at least one (likely minor) known issue:

  - *Very* large (i.e. probably greater than MAX_LONG), or negative
    filesystem timestamps may not always be handled correctly at the
    moment.  We'll fix that soon.  And related -- some of the tests
    may fail on FUSE filesystems.

  * If you want to link with Oracle Berkeley DB 6.0, you will

    If you are not legally entitled to use Berkeley DB 6.0 and

Import p5-Data-Printer-0.35 as devel/p5-Data-Printer.

Data::Printer is a Perl module to pretty-print Perl data structures
and objects in full color. It is meant to display variables on
screen, properly formatted to be inspected by a human.

Data::Printer is highly customizable, from indentation size to
depth level. You can even rename the exported p() function!

Data::Printer also lets you create filters to help debugging
your objects easily.

Updated devel/bison to 3.0.2

(wiz)

2013-12-06 12:02:47 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 3.0.2:

* Noteworthy changes in release 3.0.2 (2013-12-05) [stable]

** Bug fixes

*** Generated source files when errors are reported

  When warnings are issued and -Werror is set, bison would still generate
  the source files (*.c, *.h...).  As a consequence, some runs of "make"
  could fail the first time, but not the second (as the files were generated
  anyway).

  This is fixed: bison no longer generates this source files, but, of
  course, still produces the various reports (*.output, *.xml, etc.).

*** %empty is used in reports

  Empty right-hand sides are denoted by '%empty' in all the reports (text,
  dot, XML and formats derived from it).

*** YYERROR and variants

  When C++ variant support is enabled, an error triggered via YYERROR, but
  not caught via error recovery, resulted in a double deletion.

* Noteworthy changes in release 3.0.1 (2013-11-12) [stable]

** Bug fixes

*** Errors in caret diagnostics

  On some platforms, some errors could result in endless diagnostics.

*** Fixes of the -Werror option

  Options such as "-Werror -Wno-error=foo" were still turning "foo"
  diagnostics into errors instead of warnings.  This is fixed.

  Actually, for consistency with GCC, "-Wno-error=foo -Werror" now also
  leaves "foo" diagnostics as warnings.  Similarly, with "-Werror=foo
  -Wno-error", "foo" diagnostics are now errors.

*** GLR Predicates

  As demonstrated in the documentation, one can now leave spaces between
  "%?" and its "{".

*** Installation

  The yacc.1 man page is no longer installed if --disable-yacc was
  specified.

*** Fixes in the test suite

  Bugs and portability issues.
