GLPI is a web based Information Resource Manager application with an
additional Administration Interface. You can use it to build up a
database with an inventory for your company (computers, software,
printers, etc).
Its enhanced functionality makes daily life for administrators easier.
Besides an inventory, it provides a trouble-ticket system, job
tracking with mail notification, and methods to build a database with
basic information about your network-topology.

On Arch Linux, the XEmacs build breaks in src/gmalloc.c because extern

with the xemacs process spinning at 100% cpu.

This module implements utility functions for expanding embedded
variables in a string. Variable references are embedded in strings in
a similar form to the Bourne shell, namely, in the form $NAME or
${NAME}. In the former case, the NAME must consist of a capital letter
or underscore, and may be followed by zero or more capital letters,
digits or underscores. In the latter case, the name can consist of any
characters, but will be terminated by the first close brace character
'}'.

Update to patch release 21.4.24. From the ChangeLog:

I have used the opportunity for a bit of spring cleaning:
o remove build restrictions for powerpc and mips (hacks.mk, Makefile)
o drop the inactive X11 toolkit options - they were never used, and
upstream does not support them for 21.4, anyway (options.mk)
o add comments to patch files
o upstream converted the texinfo files to v5 format. Patch the offenders
to be v4 compatible

* In places where the CGI variable REMOTE_USER is read, support
alternatively REDIRECT_REMOTE_USER, which is used by the Apache
HTTPD Server instead, when a redirect was used.
* Removed debian/README.Debian which did not contain any useful
information.
2013-03-23 Christoph Anton Mitterer <mail@christoph.anton.mitterer.name>
* Handle the content of the CGI AUTH_TYPE variable case-insensitively as
defined by RFC 3875 Section 4.1.1.
2013-03-21 Christoph Anton Mitterer <mail@christoph.anton.mitterer.name>
* Changed the pathnames of the debug files to be a bit more FHS
compliant.
2013-03-20 Christoph Anton Mitterer <mail@christoph.anton.mitterer.name>
* Changed the end-of-line encodings of all non-Windows-related and
non-autogenerated text files to use UNIX LF (lots of them had mixed
LF/CRLF).
* HTML escape the remotely retrieved version string printed to the HTML
in order to prevent and attacks (if this would have been possible at
all in 12 characters).
* Updated all addresses of the canonical git upstream repository and the
issue tracker to the new ones.
2013-03-06 Andrew McMillan <andrew@morphoss.com>
* Fix capitalisation of 'plpgsql' & 'sql' for Postgres 9.2. (debbug #702403)
2013-02-16 Andrew McMillan <andrew@morphoss.com>
* Content-Type header should be 'charset' not 'encoding'.
2012-09-20 Andrew McMillan <andrew@morphoss.com>
* When we get here it is a Bad Request, not a Server Error.
* Quick workaround for iOS6 supported-calendar-component-set issue.

* Workaround client software with imperfect add-member implementations.
2012-09-10 Andrew McMillan <andrew@morphoss.com>

* Avoid unassigned variable warning.
* Fix UID handling.
* Fix debugging to error log.
2012-08-09 Andrew McMillan <andrew@morphoss.com>

2012-07-29 Andrew McMillan <andrew@morphoss.com>
* Sometimes we want to retrieve the sync-token as a result of a change we just made.
This allows a (default true) flag to indicate whether it's OK to use
a previously cached value.
* On Apple devices these can sometimes appear in the Apple namespace. Odd.
* Let the VCalendar class handle how to get the UID from the calendar.
2012-07-25 Andrew McMillan <andrew@morphoss.com>
* Remove old redundant constructor.
2012-07-13 Andrew McMillan <andrew@morphoss.com>
* Add workaround for Apple's POST add-member trainwreck.
* We might not have a $request calling this so use the object's path instead.
* Testing for dead property XML which is a set of prop.
* supported-calendar-component-set uses dead properties too...
* Don't just return the first element in a dead property - there might be multiple!

Bring xemacs-packages into the 21st century.
o Update packages
o Use DESTDIR features for installing, getting rid of the need to be
root and gaining the ability to patch elisp files in the process.
o Add a mechanism to re-byte-compile the patched elisp files, and
patches to deal with non-utf-8 XEmacsen.
o Grab maintainership
Tested with both 21.4 and 21.5 packages.

* [113] Collect SSID in macsuck - fixed for unknown SSID (Jiri)
* [] Proper fallback from SNMPv3 to SNMPv2 when discovering
* [99] Node update should only search within the VLAN
* [] Skip HSRP addresses during arpnip
1.3.2 (2013-08-29)
Bugfixes:
* [113] Collect SSID in macsuck (Jiri)
1.3.1 (2013-07-08)

* [] Apply quotemeta to avoid Inventory explosion (T. Gerlach)
* [94] Netdisco -O does not import oui.txt due to spaces in oui.txt
1.2 (2013-04-13)
Features:
* [3598045] Collect VLAN in macsuck (Jiri Dvorak)
* [3598089] Collect SSID in macsuck (Jiri Dvorak)
* [] Capture BSSID, per AP MAC, associated with wireless SSID in
device_port_ssid table if available.
* [] Add config directive "reverse_lookup_ipv6" to control whether
reverse DNS lookups should be performed for IPv6 addresses.
* [] Add option to node.html to search for entries only appearing on
a given date.
* [] Config directive "macsuck_no_vlan" now accepts both vlan names
and numbers (VIDs). Patch from Peter Hicks.
* [] Collect and display "vmVlanType", indicating whether a VLAN is
static or dynamic on a switch port. Currently Cisco-specific.
Patch from Wolfgang Friebel.
* [] New database table "topology" to support adding topology links
without a discovery protocol or an external topology text file.

* [] Add config option for macsuck to ignore specific VLANs on
specific devices (Peter Hicks)
* [] Add config option for macsuck to ignore unnamed VLANs (Peter
Hicks)

devices to interconnect discovered devices/ports
* [] Improved "multiple nodes on port" display (N. Bernstein)
* [] Default to _not_ vacuum db tables. Opt 'vacuum' to enable.
Bugfixes:
+ [3541443] Remove port rename from find_neighbors() handle in SNMP::Info
* [] Report "Undiscovered neighbors" also showed neighbors advertising
an address not equal to their root_ip.
+ [] Change job log dir creation to use mkpath to resolve potential
race condition.
+ [] Fix wireless client info collection to properly manage its
transaction.
+ [] Fix deprecated use of qw() in device view for Perl 5.14 (cstamas)
+ [] Fix "Device Module Search" issue with searching on serial number.
+ [] Fix error message during discovery to be more accurate and not
print variables that might be undef.
* [] Fix warnings about undef data when running netdisco -B
* [] VLAN inventory: with odd number of results, last row not displayed
* [] Fix infinite loop of later worker if earlier worker dies
before completing all his work.

that ship with Coda kernel support, which excludes SunOS at this time.
Those patches should go upstream, instead.

5.29 * Downgraded to Xcode 5.0.2 to make it possible to build savers
that will still run on 10.6 and 10.7. Sigh.
* Updated `webcollage' for recent changes.
5.28 * Fixed some compilation problems and intermittent crashes.
* Turned off the OSX 10.6 enable_gc hack. It didn't work.

* Added support for pthreads, because Dave Odell is a madman.
* Updated `webcollage' for recent changes.
* Minor iOS tweaks to the `analogtv' hacks.
* X11: Don't assume Suspend = 0 implies "No DPMS".
* Minor updates to `boxed' and `klein'.
* Fixed possible crash in `apple2', `noseguy', `xmatrix', `shadebobs'.
* Fixed possible crash in OSX preferences.
* OSX Performance improvements.
* Plugged some leaks.
5.26 * More auto-updater tweaks.
5.25 * Try harder to bypass Quarrantine and Gatekeeper in OSX installer.
* Some files were missing from the tarball.
5.24 * Added "Automatically check for updates" option on OSX.
* Updated feed-loading for recent Flickr changes.
* Updated `webcollage' for recent Google changes.
* Added Instagram and Bing as `webcollage' image sources.
* Updated to latest autoconf.
* Bug fixes.
5.23 * New hack, `geodesic'.
* iOS and OSX: huge XCopyArea performance improvements.
* More heuristics for using RSS feeds as image sources.
* Improved Wikipedia parser.
* Updated `webcollage' for recent Flickr changes.
* Added Android to `bsod'.
* OSX: Added a real installer.
* iOS and OSX: fixed a font-metrics bug.
* iOS: Fixed aspect ratio bug in non-rotating apps when launched in
landscape mode.
* Made `quasicrystal' work on weak graphics cards.
* iOS: fixed `ifs'.
* Better compression on icons, plists and XML files: smaller
distribution and installation footprint.
* Reverted that DEACTIVATE change. Bad idea.
* `Phosphor' now supports amber as well as green.

Rename net/netatalk to net/netatalk22. This is the last version to
support the AppleTalk ddp protocol, and here to stay while NetBSD
ships with AppleTalk support.
Add Netatalk 3.0.8 wip package as net/netatalk30.
"Netatalk 3 is a freely-available implementation of the Apple
Filesharing Protocol Suite (AFP) over TCP/IP.
Using Netatalk's AFP 3.1 compliant file-server leads to significantly
higher transmissions speeds compared with Macs accessing a server via
SMB or NFS, while providing clients with the best user experience (full
support for Macintosh metadata, flawlessly supporting mixed
environments of classic MacOS and MacOS X clients)."

Changes in 2.2.5
================
* FIX: Fix errors searching volumes
* NEW: Configurable symlink handling with a new volume option
'followsymlinks'. Setting the option causes afpd to follow
symlinks on the server side.
* UPD: Reload groups when reloading volumes. FR #71.
* FIX: Fix a possible crash in cname() where cname_mtouname calls
dirlookup() where the curdir is freed because the dircache
detected a dev/inode cache difference and evicted the object
from the cache. Fixes bug #498.
* FIX: Change default FinderInfo for directories to be all 0, fixes
bug 514.

Untangle the m0nster patch to configure. To the quota experts: Please
check all the bells and whistles are still in place, and functional.
While here, update to Netatalk 2.2.4. Note that we will ship Netatalk
2 as long as NetBSD ships ddp ("netatalk") support, so v3 is not a
replacement.
Changes to package setup:
Set PLIST_VARS.{ea,acl} so that the package builds on Ubuntu Linux 10
LTS. I guess there are version and file-system dependencies?
Add dnssd option for mDNSResponder ("zeroconf") support.
Remaining (upstream) issues:
dbd(8) breaks with a less-than-helpful error message, see end of
PR pkg/47578
afpd(8) mis-maps user IDs -- a security issue
Upstream changes:
Changes in 2.2.4
================
* FIX: Missing UAM links
* FIX: Lockup in AFP logout on Fedora 17
* FIX: Reset signal handlers and alarm timer after successfull PAM
authentication. Fixes a problem with AFP disconnects caused
by pam_smbpass.so messing with our handlers and timer.
* FIX: afpd: Fix a possible problem with sendfile on Solaris derived
platforms
Changes in 2.2.3
================
* NEW: afpd: support for mdnsresponder
* NEW: afpd: new LDAP config option ldap_uuid_string
* UPD: based on Unicode 6.1.0
* UPD: experimental systemd service files: always run both afpd and cnid_metad
* UPD: afpd: Ensure our umask is not altered by eg pam_umask
* UPD: afpd: Use GSS_C_NO_NAME as server principal when Kerberos options -fqdn
and -krb5service are not set, from Jamie Gilbertson
* UPD: afpd: Changed behaviour for TimeMachine volumes in case there's a problem
talking to the CNID daemons. Previously the volume was flagged read-only
and an AFP message was sent to the client. As this might result in
TimeMachine assuming the backup sparse bundle is damaged, we now just
switch the CNID database to an in-memory tdb without the additional stuff.
* FIX: afpd: sendfile() on FreeBSD was broken, courtesy of Denis Ahrens
* FIX: afpd: Dont use searchdb when doing partial name search
* FIX: afpd: Fix a possible bug handling disconnected sessions,
NetAFP Bug ID #16
* FIX: afpd: Close IPC fds in afpd session child inherited from the afpd
master process
* FIX: dbd: Don't remove BerkeleyDB if it's still in use by eg cnid_dbd, fixes
bug introduced in 2.2.2
* FIX: debian initscript: start avahi-daemon (if available) before atalkd
* FIX: Zeroconf could not advertise non-ASCII time machine volume name
Changes in 2.2.2
================
* NEW: afpd: New option "adminauthuser". Specifying eg "-adminauthuser root"
whenever a normal user login fails, afpd tries to authenticate as
the specified adminauthuser. If this succeeds, a normal session is
created for the original connecting user. Said differently: if you
know the password of adminauthuser, you can authenticate as any other
user.
* NEW: configure option "--enable-suse-systemd" for openSUSE12.1 and later.
"--enable-redhat-systemd" and "--enable-suse-systemd" are same as
"--enable-systemd".
"--enable-suse" is renamed "--enable-suse-sysv".
* NEW: experimental systemd service files in distrib/systemd/
* UPD: afpd: Enhanced POSIX ACL mapping semantics, from Laura Mueller
* UPD: afpd: Reset options every time a :DEFAULT: line is found in a
AppleVolumes file
* UPD: afpd: Convert passwords from legacy encoding (wire format) to host
encoding, NetAFP Bug ID #14
* UPD: afpd: Don't set ATTRBIT_SHARED flag for directories
* UPD: afpd: Use sendfile() on Solaris and FreeBSD for sending data
* UPD: afpd: Faster volume used size calculation for "volsizelimit" option,
cf man AppleVolume.default for details
* FIX: afpd: ACL access checking
* FIX: afpd: Fix an error when duplicating files that lacked an AppleDouble
file which lead to a possible Finder crash
* FIX: afpd: Read-only filesystems lead to afpd processes running as root
* FIX: afpd: Fix for filesystem without NFSv4 ACL support on Solaris
* FIX: afpd: Fix catsearch bug, NetAFP Bug ID #12
* FIX: afpd: Fix dircache bug, NetAFP Bug ID #13
* FIX: dbd: Better checking for duplicated or bogus CNIDs from AppleDouble
files
* FIX: dbd: Remove BerkeleyDB database environment after running `dbd`. This
is crucial for the automatic BerkeleyDB database upgrade feature which
is built into cnid_dbd and dbd.
* FIX: Fix compilation error when AppleTalk support is disabled
* FIX: Portability fixes
* FIX: search of surrogate pair

MAIN commitmail json YAML
Minor bugfix update. From the changelog:
Changes in version 0.2.2.37 - 2012-06-06
Tor 0.2.2.37 introduces a workaround for a critical renegotiation
bug in OpenSSL 1.0.1 (where 20% of the Tor network can't talk to itself
currently).
o Major bugfixes:
- Work around a bug in OpenSSL that broke renegotiation with TLS

Changes in version 0.2.2.37 - 2012-06-06
Tor 0.2.2.37 introduces a workaround for a critical renegotiation
bug in OpenSSL 1.0.1 (where 20% of the Tor network can't talk to itself
currently).

1.1 and TLS 1.2. Without this workaround, all attempts to speak
the v2 Tor connection protocol when both sides were using OpenSSL
1.0.1 would fail. Resolves ticket 6033.

2. Fixed the WHATSNEW so it shows correct version and date for

What's new in 1.5 (December 2011)
=================================
Pertinent to users:
-------------------
1. Renamed the project from PyBlosxom to Pyblosxom (no more CamelCase).
2. I moved all the plugins again. This time, instead of being in
``plugins/``, they're now in ``Pyblosxom/plugins/``.
You no longer have to copy core plugins into your plugins
directory. Instead of copying core plugin files, refer to the
plugins in your ``config.py`` file using their full Python path in
the Pyblosxom package.
For example, the pycalendar plugin is now in
``Pyblosxom/plugins/pycalendar.py`` and thus its Pyblosxom
package path is ``Pyblosxom.plugins.pycalendar``. Your
``config.py`` file would look have this::
py["load_plugins"] = [
...
"Pyblosxom.plugins.pycalendar",
...
]
If you do this, then the next time you upgrade PyBlosxom, the
plugins will be upgraded automatically.
Further, documentation for plugins is at the top of the individual
plugin files, but also in the documentation. This includes a list
of the plugins available in the core.

You can see the plugin documentation in docs/plugins/.
.. only:: html
You can see the plugin documentation at :ref:`part-two`.
3. Plugins added: markdown_parser, readmore
4. Plugins changed:
pages
* Fixed documentation and error messages for ``pagesdir``.
* Fixed frontpage checking. Should catch / as well as /index
now.
* Adds more examples to documentation.
tags
* Increased tag cloud range from 3 sizes to 5.
* Adds truncate support.
* Fixes problems with initialization when building tags so that
it initializes plugins allowing them to do startup things.
This fixes problems with plugins that augment entry parsers.
rst
* renamed it to rst_parser so it's clearer what it is
pycategories
* fixed category_start/category_begin behavior for root category
* fixed the first example of settings in the documentation
the rest of the plugins: pep8 fixes and documentation updates
5. Plugins removed from Pyblosxom: commentAPI
6. Fixes error handling for loading plugins. When doing
``pyblosxom-cmd test`` and a plugin fails to load, it'll now tell
you. When using the debug renderer and a plugin fails to load,
it'll now tell you.
7. Lot of work on simplifying and improving the documentation.
8. Added a ``static_yearindexes`` setting. Set it to True to generate
year indexes and False to not generate year indexes.
Pertinent to developers
-----------------------
1. I removed all the extra infrastructure for testing plugins.
Plugins that come with the core are now in the Pyblosxom package
and their tests are in ``Pyblosxom/tests/``.
2. Adds *generate* subcommand to pyblosxom-cmd. This makes it easier
to test blogs and plugins that do things with entries.
3. Renamed ``PyBlosxomWSGIApp`` class to ``PyblosxomWSGIApp``.
4. Renamed ``PyBlosxom`` class to ``Pyblosxom``.
5. Moved the project from gitorious to github. The new git repository
is at `<http://github.com/willkg/pyblosxom>`_.
6. Removed ``VERSION_DATE`` and ``VERSION_SPLIT``. They're kind of
silly and don't really help much.
I moved the version to ``Pyblosxom/_version.py``. Use it like
this::
from Pyblosxom import __version__

On m68k, gcc creates short assembler branch insns, and expects the
assembler to adapt them to the distance. m68k gas appears not to do
that for fpu branch insns, resulting in an out-of-range FPU assembler
branch instruction error in "ext/re/re_exec.c".
As a workaround, building with "-Os" instead of "-O2" reduces the size
of the object file enough to allow short branches.
See PR toolchain/45439.

Update Mailman to 2.1.14.1
Partly addresses pkg/25165.
>From the package's NEWS file:
2.1.14 (20-Sep-2010)
Security
- Two potential XSS vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed.
New Features
- A new feature for controlling the addition/replacement of the Sender:
header in outgoing mail has been implemented. This allows a list owner
to set include_sender_header on the list's General Options page in the
admin GUI. The default for this setting is Yes which preserves the prior
behavior of removing any pre-existing Sender: and setting it to the
list's -bounces address. Setting this to No stops Mailman from adding or
modifying the Sender: at all.
Additionally, there is a new Defaults.py/mm_cfg.py setting
ALLOW_SENDER_OVERRIDES which defaults to Yes but which can be set to No
to remove the include_sender_header setting from General Options, and
thus preserve the prior behavior completely.
- Bounce processing has been enhanced so that if a bounce is returned to a
list from a non-member who is a member of a regular_include_list, the
bounce will be processed as a bounce for the included list.
i18n
- Fixed a missing format character in the German bin/mailmanctl docstring.
- Updated Dutch translation from Jan Veuger.
- Updated Japanese Translation from Tokio Kikuchi.
- Updated Finnish translation from Joni Tyryl.
- Made a few corrections to some Polish templates. Bug #566731.
- Made a minor change to the Chinese (China) message catalog. Bug #545772.
- Changed a few DOCTYPE directives in templates for compliance.
