Updated databases/sqlite3

(adam)

2018-06-07 07:36:49 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

sqlite3: updated to 3.24.0

SQLite Release 3.24.0:
Add support for PostgreSQL-style UPSERT.
Add support for auxiliary columns in r-tree tables.
Add C-language APIs for discovering SQL keywords used by SQLite: sqlite3_keyword_count(), sqlite3_keyword_name(), and sqlite3_keyword_check().
Add C-language APIs for dynamic strings based on the sqlite3_str object.
Enhance ALTER TABLE so that it recognizes "true" and "false" as valid arguments to DEFAULT.
Add the sorter-reference optimization as a compile-time option. Only available if compiled with SQLITE_ENABLE_SORTER_REFERENCES.
Improve the format of the EXPLAIN QUERY PLAN raw output, so that it gives better information about the query plan and about the relationships between the various components of the plan.
Added the SQLITE_DBCONFIG_RESET_DATABASE option to the sqlite3_db_config() API.
CLI Enhancements:

Automatically intercepts the raw EXPLAIN QUERY PLAN output and reformats it into an ASCII-art graph.
Lines that begin with "#" and that are not in the middle of an SQL statement are interpreted as comments.
Added the --append option to the ".backup" command.
Added the ".dbconfig" command.
Performance:

UPDATE avoids unnecessary low-level disk writes when the contents of the database file do not actually change. For example, "UPDATE t1 SET x=25 WHERE y=?" generates no extra disk I/O if the value in column x is already 25. Similarly, when doing UPDATE on records that span multiple pages, only the subset of pages that actually change are written to disk. This is a low-level performance optimization only and does not affect the behavior of TRIGGERs or other higher level SQL structures.
Queries that use ORDER BY and LIMIT now try to avoid computing rows that cannot possibly come in under the LIMIT. This can greatly improve performance of ORDER BY LIMIT queries, especially when the LIMIT is small relative to the number of unrestricted output rows.
The OR optimization is allowed to proceed even if the OR expression has also been converted into an IN expression. Uses of the OR optimization are now also more clearly shown in the EXPLAIN QUERY PLAN output.
The query planner is more aggressive about using automatic indexes for views and subqueries for which it is not possible to create a persistent index.
Make use of the one-pass UPDATE and DELETE query plans in the R-Tree extension where appropriate.
Performance improvements in the LEMON-generated parser.
Bug fixes:

For the right-hand table of a LEFT JOIN, compute the values of expressions directly rather than loading precomputed values out of an expression index as the expression index might not contain the correct value.
Do not attempt to use terms from the WHERE clause to enable indexed lookup of the right-hand table of a LEFT JOIN.
Fix a memory leak that can occur following a failure to open error in the CSV virtual table
Fix a long-standing problem wherein a corrupt schema on the sqlite_sequence table used by AUTOINCREMENT can lead to a crash.
Fix the json_each() function so that it returns valid results on its "fullkey" column when the input is a simple value rather than an array or object.

Updated devel/py-astroid, devel/py-pylint

(adam)

2018-06-07 06:44:02 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

py-pylint: updated to 1.9.2

Pylint 1.9.2:
* Fix `KeyError` raised when using docparams and NotImplementedError is documented.

* Don't include excepthandlers that don't have a name when looking for exception-escape

* Rewrite the comprehension-escape and exception-escape to work only on the corresponding nodes

These two checks were implemented in terms of visit_namne, that is, for every name in the tree,
we looked to see if that name leaked. This was resulting in a couple of false positives
and also in a performance issue, since we were calling nodes_of_class() and scope() for each
name node. Instead, this approach uses the visit methods for exception and comprehension nodes
and looks to see from there if the current scope uses leaked names.
This is not the ideal situation as well, ideal would be to have access to the definition
frame of each name, but that requires some extra engineering effort in astroid to get it right.

* builtins is allowed to redefine builtins.

py-astroid: updated to 1.6.5

1.6.5
*  Don't propagate Uninferable objects when inferring BinOps
*  Protect against passing lookup_class to non-class proxied objects
In some cases the _proxied object points to another Instance, not to the
Class of an Instance node (usually this happens with enum and with our
hardcoded inference support for this library). Instead of getting a TypeError,
we check before if the _proxied matches what we expect.

py-hypothesis: updated to 3.57.0

3.57.0:
Using an unordered collection with the :func:~hypothesis.strategies.permutations strategy has been deprecated because the order in which e.g. a set shrinks is arbitrary. This may cause different results between runs.

3.56.10:
This release makes :obj:~hypothesis.settings.define_setting a private method, which has the effect of hiding it from the documentation.

3.56.9:
This is another release with no functionality changes as part of changes to Hypothesis's new release tagging scheme.

3.56.8:
This is a release with no functionality changes that moves Hypothesis over to a new release tagging scheme.

3.56.7:
This release provides a performance improvement for most tests, but in particular users of sampled_from who don't have numpy installed should see a significant performance improvement.

3.56.6:
This patch contains further internal work to support Mypy. There are no user-visible changes... yet.

doc: Updated editors/ne to 3.15

(prlw1)

2018-06-06 14:53:04 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update ne to 3.15

Version 3.15 01-May-2018
------------------------

1. The "logo" line "NE version xxxx" was showing the PCRE version which was
current when NE was compiled (static) instead of getting the current (dynamic)
version from a shared library. This is now fixed and the line reformatted.

2. Minor error in command line decoding; for switch items such as -id it was
checking the text pointer (which might be partly unset) instead of the number
field.

3. There is now a maximum linelength that NE will handle when reading a file in
non-binary mode. The limit is 100,000 bytes. This prevents it going into a
meltdown memory thrashing state for a file that contains an excessively long
line.

Version 3.14 26-February-2018
-----------------------------

1. Two calls to error_moan() for failing to open a file were missing a second
argument (specifying reading or writing), leading to a crash for an unknown
file.

2. Added strerror() calls to all failed-do-open file errors.

3. Added some "fall through" comments when deliberately falling through.

4. Increased an internal buffer size to avoid format-overflow warning in "show
wordcount" command.

5. Implemented -notraps to disable catching crash signals. This makes crashes
easier to debug.

(adam)

2018-06-05 22:28:39 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

xz: updated to 5.2.4

5.2.4:

* liblzma:
    - Allow 0 as memory usage limit instead of returning
LZMA_PROG_ERROR. Now 0 is treated as if 1 byte was specified,
which effectively is the same as 0.

    - Use "noexcept" keyword instead of "throw()" in the public
headers when a C++11 (or newer standard) compiler is used.

    - Added a portability fix for recent Intel C Compilers.

    - Microsoft Visual Studio build files have been moved under
      windows/vs2013 and windows/vs2017.

* xz:
    - Fix "xz --list --robot missing_or_bad_file.xz" which would
try to print an unitialized string and thus produce garbage
output. Since the exit status is non-zero, most uses of such
a command won't try to interpret the garbage output.

    - "xz --list foo.xz" could print "Internal error (bug)" in a
corner case where a specific memory usage limit had been set.

py-curl: update to 7.43.0.2.

PycURL 7.43.0.2 - 2018-06-02
----------------------------

Highlights of this release:

1. Experimental perform_rs and perform_rb methods have been added to Curl
objects. They return response body as a string and a byte string,
respectively. The goal of these methods is to improve PycURL's usability
for typical use cases, specifically removing the need to set up
StringIO/BytesIO objects to store the response body.

2. getinfo_raw and errstr_raw methods have been added to Curl objects to
return transfer information as byte strings, permitting applications to
retrieve transfer information that is not decodable using Python's
  default encoding.

3. errstr and "fail or error" exceptions now replace undecodable bytes
so as to provide usable strings; use errstr_raw to retrieve original
  byte strings.

4. There is no longer a need to keep references to Curl objects when they
are used in CurlMulti objects - PycURL now maintains such references
  internally.

5. Official Windows builds now include HTTP/2 and international domain
  name support.

6. PycURL now officially supports BoringSSL.

7. A number of smaller improvements have been made and bugs fixed.

2018-06-05 18:48:23 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

libgit2: update to 0.27.1.

v0.27.1
---------

This is a security release fixing insufficient validation of submodule names
(CVE-2018-11235, reported by Etienne Stalmans) and disallows `.gitmodules` files
as symlinks.

While submodule names come from the untrusted ".gitmodules" file, we blindly
append the name to "$GIT_DIR/modules" to construct the final path of the
submodule repository. In case the name contains e.g. "../", an adversary would
be able to escape your repository and write data at arbitrary paths. In
accordance with git, we now enforce some rules for submodule names which will
cause libgit2 to ignore these malicious names.

Adding a symlink as `.gitmodules` into the index from the workdir or checking
out such files is not allowed as this can make a Git implementation write
outside of the repository and bypass the `fsck` checks for CVE-2018-11235.

libgit2 is not susceptible to CVE-2018-11233.

mame: update to 0.198.

It窶冱 the day you窶况e been eagerly awaiting all month: MAME release
day! MAME 0.198, our May release, is packed full of improvements
in lots of areas. Newly supported arcade games include the rare
video pinball game Tom Tom Magic, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu EX
窶98, and Keirin Ou. Newly supported computers include the TI-99/2,
Dragon MSX-64, and BBC Master 512.

This release brings graphics emulation improvements to a number of
systems, including more fixes for Sega Saturn/ST-V, missing effects
emulated in 1945k III, and improvements to the title screen in Wolf
Fang. The SH-4 recompiler now supports more FPU opcodes directly,
and NAOMI keyboards are supported. Low-level floppy drive emulation
improvements bring improved compatibility for Apple II software.
Newly supported peripherals include a PC ISA LBA BIOS card, the
Beeb Speech Synthesiser, and a number of BBC Micro pointing devices.

Other additions include new Tiger handhelds (Batman: The Animated
Series, Operation: Aliens, Wayne窶冱 World, and X-Men), the Fidelity
Elegance and Prestige chess computers, and alternate versions of
Battle Balls, Centipede, Final Fight, Karate Blazers, Last Mission,
Real Puncher, Sengoku 3, Spy Hunter, and World Heroes 2. There are
lots of additions to the Apple II cassette software list, and
several additions to the Sorcerer cassette software list as well.
MAME now supports Korean user interface thanks to a contribution
from Neius.

For developers, we窶况e fixed some issues in the debugger affecting
CPUs that use word addressing, and the source list is sorted more
intuitively in memory windows. We窶况e made a number of changes to
how machine configuration works to make driver development more
intuitive and less error-prone.

(fhajny)

2018-06-04 10:20:01 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

databases/py-peewee: Update to 3.5.0.

Backwards-incompatible changes
- Custom Model repr no longer use the convention of overriding
  __unicode__, and now use __str__.
- Redesigned the sqlite json1 integration and changed some of the APIs
and semantics of various JSONField methods.

New features
- Better default repr for model classes and fields.
- ForeignKeyField() accepts a new initialization parameter,
deferrable, for specifying when constraints should be enforced.
- BitField.flag() can be called without a value parameter for the
common use-case of using flags that are powers-of-2.
- SqliteDatabase pragmas can be specified as a dict (previously
  required a list of 2-tuples).
- SQLite TableFunction (docs) will print Python exception tracebacks
raised in the initialize and iterate callbacks, making debugging
  significantly easier.

Bug fixes
- Fixed bug in migrator.add_column() where, if the field being added
declared a non-standard index type (e.g., binary json field with GIN
index), this index type was not being respected.
- Fixed bug in database.table_exists() where the implementation did
  not match the documentation.
- Fixed bug in SQLite TableFunction implementation which raised errors
if the return value of the iterate() method was not a tuple.

ham/predict: add new package for version 2.2.3

predict is a curses based satellite tracking/orbital prediction program

PREDICT provides real-time satellite tracking and orbital prediction
information to users and client applications in a variety of ways:

    Through the system console
    Through the command line
    Through a network socket
Through the generation of audio speech

Data such as a spacecraft's sub-satellite point, azimuth and elevation
headings, Doppler shift, path loss, slant range, orbital altitude,
orbital velocity, footprint diameter, orbital phase (mean anomaly),
squint angle, eclipse depth, the time and date of the next AOS (or LOS
of the current pass), orbit number, and sunlight and visibility
information are provided on a real-time basis. PREDICT can also track
(or predict the position of) the Sun and Moon. PREDICT also has the
ability to control AZ/EL antenna rotators to maintain accurate
orientation in the direction of communication satellites. As an aid in
locating and tracking satellites through optical means, PREDICT can
articulate tracking coordinates and visibility information as plain
speech.

python27: Remove patches/patch-ah (no longer needed)

Since Python 2.7.15 patches/patch-ah is no longer needed and badly interfere
(e.g. with it `curses.KEY_*' are no longer exposed):

- Prototypes of NetBSD curses(3) are as described, no need to patch them
- Avoid {lines,columns} -> {nlines,columns} rename, they are properly
  undef-ed due HAVE_TERM_H.

As far as PowerPC support goes, libvpx supports 64-bit PowerPC in Little Endian
mode only, now. Set the target to generic-gnu for powerpc based ports on NetBSD
to allow libvpx to build and run, though without any targetted optimization.
Resolves build issue on NetBSD/macppc which failed at configure stage otherwise.

TenFourFox has patches to add support for Altivec acceleration, which could be
used to add support back again locally.
