p5-FFI-CheckLib: update to 0.18.

0.18      2017-10-25 10:00:47 -0400
  - Production version identical to 0.17_02

0.17_02  2017-10-14 01:03:04 -0400
  - Fix Windows testing regression introduced in 0.17_01

0.17_01  2017-10-13 15:58:30 -0400
  - Filter out broken and recursive symlinks
  - Better handle symlinked .so files on platforms that support that.

    Previously, we preferred the longer .so names (ie, libfoo.so.1.2.3)
    over the shorter .so names (libfoo.so) since the latter is usually a
    symlink, and the former may have useful "version" information in the
    filename.  That is a problem when a system is using symlinks to indicate
    a preference, (for example, if there are both libfoo.so.1.2.3,
    libfoo.so.1.2.4 and libfoo.so is a symlink to one of those).

    Now we still endevour to return the long .so name, but use the short
    name to see which one is preferred by the operating system, or user.

    In the absense of any symlinks to disambiguate two libraries with the
    same name, we prefer the one with a newer version number.  That is
    libfoo.so.2.3.4 would be preferred over libfoo.so.1.2.3

  - Slightly more consistent diagnostic messages.
  - Added functions: which, where, has_symbols
    None are exported by default, but may be requested.

This release imports the libXfont 1.x BDF-reading and PCF-writing code,

this is just another step towards eliminating the old version of

Always add "-fPIC" when linking with PKGSRC_MKPIE

This makes sure a simple "cc -o hello hello.c" will still build a valid
executable. It does not let us detect when CFLAGS or LDFLAGS are
ignored anymore, but it is legitimate for packages to expect it to work
without any additional parameter.

ld(1) does not expect "-fPIC" but it seems to be ignored by our wrappers
in this case, so no disruption is expected there.

Tokenize the contents of "append_executable"

This configuration parameter is used when linking executables, through

This allows passing multiple arguments via the "append_executable"
option, like "-fPIC -pie" for instance.

py-fonttools: updated to 3.19.0

3.19.0:
[varLib] Try set of used points instead of all points when testing whether to share points between tuples.
[CFF2] Fixed issue with reading/writing PrivateDict BlueValues to TTX file. Read the commit message 8b02b5a and issue 1030 for more details. NOTE: this change invalidates all the TTX files containing CFF2 tables that where dumped with previous verisons of fonttools. CFF2 Subr items can have values on the stack after the last operator, thus a CFF2Subr class was added to accommodate this.
[_k_e_r_n] Fixed compilation of AAT kern version=1.0 tables
[ttLib] Added getBestCmap() convenience method to TTFont class and cmap table class that returns a preferred Unicode cmap subtable given a list of options.
[morx] Emit more meaningful subtable flags. Implement InsertionMorphAction

doc: Updated devel/py-mercurial to 4.4

(wiz)

2017-11-07 13:16:07 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

py-mercurial: update to 4.4.

Mercurial 4.4 (2017-11-01)

1.1. Notable changes

1.1.1. Control whitespace settings for annotation on hgweb

/annotate URLs on hgweb now accept query string arguments to influence how whitespace changes impact results.

The arguments "ignorews," "ignorewsamount," "ignorewseol," and "ignoreblanklines" now have the same meaning as their [annotate] config section counterparts. Any provided setting overrides the server default.

HTML checkboxes have been added to the paper and gitweb themes to expose current whitespace settings and to easily modify the current view.

1.1.2. Fast, heuristic copy-tracing

A new fast heuristic algorithm for copytracing which assumes that the files moves are either:

    renames in the same directory
    moves in other directories with same names

You can use this algorithm by setting 'experimental.copytrace=heuristics'. This setting performs full copytracing if both source and destination branches contains non-public changesets only.

1.1.3. Other changes

    Estimated time is more accurate with non-linear progress
    "hg status -v" can now show unfinished state. For example, when in an unfinished rebase state, "hg status -v" might show:

    # The repository is in an unfinished *rebase* state.
    # No unresolved merge conflicts.
    # To continue:                hg rebase --continue
    # To abort:                  hg rebase --abort

    Added '--ignore-space-at-eol' diff option to ignore whitespace differences at line endings.
    show: use consistent node length in views
    show: decrease minimum displayed hash length from 5 to 4
    A new uncommit extension which provides 'hg uncommit' using which one can uncommit part or all of the changeset. This command undoes the effect of a local commit, returning the affected files to their uncommitted state.
    'hg clone --uncompressed' uses clone bundles when possible
    'hg annotate --skip' now prints a '*' on lines with skipped revisions
    New 'commands.update.check' feature to adjust constraints on when 'hg update' will allow updates with a dirty working copy.

    Add an experimental -L/--line-range FILE,FROMLINE:TOLINE option to 'hg log' command to follow the history of files by line range. In combination with -p/--patch option, only diff hunks within specified line range will be displayed. Feedback, especially on UX aspects, is welcome.
    Print warning when fsmonitor isn't being used on a large repository

1.2. Backwards Compatibility Changes

    The config option for copytrace 'experimental.disablecopytrace' is now replaced with 'experimental.copytrace' which defaults to 'on'. If you need to turn off copytracing, add '[experimental] copytrace = off' to your config.
    'hg clone --stream' should now be used instead of --uncompressed. --uncompressed is marked as deprecated and is an alias for --stream. There is no schedule for elimination of --uncompressed.
    The 'experimental.updatecheck' name for the new 'commands.update.check' feature is now deprecated, and will be removed after this release.
    Mercurial subrepositories are now shared instead of cloned when the parent repository is shared. This prevents dangling subrepository references in the share source. Previously shared repositories with cloned subrepositories will continue to function unchanged.
    Push no longer triggers a pushkey hook when updating phases. Use the new 'txnclose-phase' and 'txnclose-phase' hooks instead. (Applies when both server and client use version 4.4 or above).

1.3. Bug Fixes

    Core rebase algorithm has been rewritten to be more robust (issue5578, issue5630)

    Creating a share of a repository with a Mercurial subrepository will now share the subrepository (issue5675)

1.4. Performance Improvements

    improved performance when many aliases are defined

1.5. API Changes

1.5.1. remove peer.batch()

Replace with peer.iterbatch().

1.5.2. Other Changes

    @peer.batchable can no longer emit local values
    @peer.batchable functions must now yield exactly 2 values
    Rename attributes on sshpeer to reflect peer API
    peer.peerrepository has been removed. Use repository.peer abstract base class to represent a peer repository.
    revset.stringset() now takes 'order' as the last argument.

Updated devel/py-coverage, devel/py-hypothesis

(adam)

2017-11-06 10:39:08 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

py-hypothesis: updated to 3.34.1

3.34.1:

This patch updates the documentation to suggest :func:`builds(callable) <hypothesis.strategies.builds>` instead of :func:`just(callable()) <hypothesis.strategies.just>`.

3.34.0:

Hypothesis now emits deprecation warnings if you apply :func:`@given <hypothesis.given>` more than once to a target.

Applying :func:`@given <hypothesis.given>` repeatedly wraps the target multiple times. Each wrapper will search the space of of possible parameters separately. This is equivalent but will be much more inefficient than doing it with a single call to :func:`@given <hypothesis.given>`.

For example, instead of @given(booleans()) @given(integers()), you could write @given(booleans(), integers())

py-coverage: updated to 4.4.2

Version 4.4.2:

- Support for Python 3.7.  In some cases, class and module docstrings are no
  longer counted in statement totals, which could slightly change your total
  results.

- Specifying both ``--source`` and ``--include`` no longer silently ignores the
  include setting, instead it displays a warning. Thanks, Lo誰c Dachary.  Closes
  `issue 265`_ and `issue 101`_.

- Fixed a race condition when saving data and multiple threads are tracing
  (`issue 581`_). It could produce a "dictionary changed size during iteration"
  RuntimeError.  I believe this mostly but not entirely fixes the race
  condition.  A true fix would likely be too expensive.

- Configuration values which are file paths will now apply tilde-expansion,
  closing `issue 589`_.

- Now secondary config files like tox.ini and setup.cfg can be specified
  explicitly, and prefixed sections like `[coverage:run]` will be read. Fixes
  `issue 588`_.

- Be more flexible about the command name displayed by help, fixing
  `issue 600`_.

Updated lang/rust to 1.21.0

(ryoon)

2017-11-03 22:04:10 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.21.0

Changelog:
Version 1.21.0 (2017-10-12)
==========================

Language
--------
- [You can now use static references for literals.][43838]
  Example:
  ```rust
  fn main() {
      let x: &'static u32 = &0;
  }
  ```
- [Relaxed path syntax. Optional `::` before `<` is now allowed in all contexts.][43540]
  Example:
  ```rust
  my_macro!(Vec<i32>::new); // Always worked
  my_macro!(Vec::<i32>::new); // Now works
  ```

Compiler
--------
- [Upgraded jemalloc to 4.5.0][43911]
- [Enabled unwinding panics on Redox][43917]
- [Now runs LLVM in parallel during translation phase.][43506]
  This should reduce peak memory usage.

Libraries
---------
- [Generate builtin impls for `Clone` for all arrays and tuples that
  are `T: Clone`][43690]
- [`Stdin`, `Stdout`, and `Stderr` now implement `AsRawFd`.][43459]
- [`Rc` and `Arc` now implement `From<&[T]> where T: Clone`, `From<str>`,
  `From<String>`, `From<Box<T>> where T: ?Sized`, and `From<Vec<T>>`.][42565]

Stabilized APIs
---------------

[`std::mem::discriminant`]

Cargo
-----
- [You can now call `cargo install` with multiple package names][cargo/4216]
- [Cargo commands inside a virtual workspace will now implicitly
  pass `--all`][cargo/4335]
- [Added a `[patch]` section to `Cargo.toml` to handle
  prepublication dependencies][cargo/4123] [RFC 1969]
- [`include` & `exclude` fields in `Cargo.toml` now accept gitignore
  like patterns][cargo/4270]
- [Added the `--all-targets` option][cargo/4400]
- [Using required dependencies as a feature is now deprecated and emits
  a warning][cargo/4364]

Misc
----
- [Cargo docs are moving][43916]
  to [doc.rust-lang.org/cargo](https://doc.rust-lang.org/cargo)
- [The rustdoc book is now available][43863]
  at [doc.rust-lang.org/rustdoc](https://doc.rust-lang.org/rustdoc)
- [Added a preview of RLS has been made available through rustup][44204]
  Install with `rustup component add rls-preview`
- [`std::os` documentation for Unix, Linux, and Windows now appears on doc.rust-lang.org][43348]
  Previously only showed `std::os::unix`.

Compatibility Notes
-------------------
- [Changes in method matching against higher-ranked types][43880] This may cause
  breakage in subtyping corner cases. [A more in-depth explanation is available.][info/43880]
- [rustc's JSON error output's byte position start at top of file.][42973]
  Was previously relative to the rustc's internal `CodeMap` struct which
  required the unstable library `libsyntax` to correctly use.
- [`unused_results` lint no longer ignores booleans][43728]

Support OS_VARIANT on Linux, support ChromeOS.

This adds a detection for Chrome OS and Chromium OS based on /etc/lsb-release,
which sets LOWER_VENDOR, like for other Linux distros. It also sets OS_VARIANT
to the value of LOWER_VENDOR, so we can have conditionals for ChromeOS. It is
missing some things that are silently assumed to be part of Linux base
systems, such as POSIX attr support, NIS and more.

* Added support for optional config file to check_nrpe. With the new SSL

  --config-file=<path> or -f <path> parameters. The config file must look
  like command line options, but the options can be on separate lines. It

  options are used.

  warning appear (John Frickson)
* Added command-line option to prevent forking, since some of the init
  replacements (such as systemd, etc.) don't want daemons to fork (John Frickson)
* Added autoconf macros and additional files to better support multi-platform
  config and compile. The default will still set up to install to
  /usr/local/nagios but I added a new configure option:
  '--enable-install-method=<method>'. If <method> is 'opt', everything will
  install to '/opt/nagios'. If <method> is 'os', installation will be to O/S-
  and distribution-specific locations, such as /usr/sbin, /usr/lib/nagios,
  /etc/nagios, and so on.
* Added additional init and inetd config files to support more systems,
  including SuSE, Debian, Slackware, Gentoo, *BSD, AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, OS X.
* Added listen_queue_size as configuration option (Vadim Antipov, Kaspersky Lab)
* Reworked SSL/TLS. See the README.SSL.md file for full info. (John Frickson)
* Added support for version 3 variable sized packets up to 64KB. nrpe will
  accept either version from check_nrpe. check_nrpe will try to send a
  version 3 packet first, and fall back to version 2. check_nrpe can be forced
  to only send version 2 packets if the switch `-2` is used. (John Frickson)
* Added extended timeout syntax in the -t <secs>:<status> format. (ABrist)

**FIXES**
* Fixed configure to check more places for SSL headers/libs. (John Frickson)
* Added ifdefs for complete_SSL_shutdown to compile without SSL. (Matthew L. Daniel)

* NRPE should not start if cannot write pid file (John Frickson)
* Fixed out-of-bounds error (return code 255) for some failures (John Frickson)
* Connection Timeout and Connection Refused messages need a new line (Andrew Widdersheim)
* allowed_hosts doesn't work, if one of the hostnames can't be resolved by dns (John Frickson)
* allowed_hosts doesn't work with a hostname resolving to an IPv6 address (John Frickson)
* Return UNKNOWN when issues occur (Andrew Widdersheim)
* NRPE returns OK if check can't be executed (Andrew Widdersheim)
* nrpe 2.15 [regression in Added SRC support on AIX - 2.14] (frphoebus)
* compile nrpe - Solaris 9 doesn't have isblank() (lilo, John Frickson)
* sample configuration for check_load has crazy sample load avg (ernestoongaro)

2.15 - 09/06/2013
-----------------
* Now compiles on HP-UX (Grant Byers)

Updated graphics/gnuplot

(adam)

2017-11-03 15:00:10 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

gnuplot: updated to 5.2.1

Release 5.2.1

A few bug-fixes present in the distributed package for 5.2.1 are not yet
commited upstream because the repository is in the process of migration
from cvs to git.

* src/graphics.c (plot_betweencurves):
        plot 'foo' with filledcurves below y=bar
would fail to identify "below" regions where the y value foo[x] at the
start or end of the region was exactly equal to bar.

* src/axis.c (gen_tics):  `set log x; set xtics foo` would always place
the first axis tic at foo rather than at (foo / base^N) for suitable N.

* src/win/winmain.c (ConsolePutS, ConsolePutCh):  Use standard file IO
instead of Console API to enable word-wrapping on Windows 10 and to
allow for redirection of stdout/stderr.

* term/post.trm:  Raise the limit on number of relative moves before
a "stroke" so that a full circle as drawn by do_arc() does not glitch
due to insertion of a "stroke xx yy M" sequence that resets the
dot/dash pattern.

* src/plot2d.c (eval_plots): If the range for logscaled y axis is empty,
e.g. the plot holds a single point, auto-extend the range rather than
giving up with an error.
