Updated security/py-paramiko to 1.15.3

(rodent)

2015-10-03 22:54:17 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.15.3. Mostly, the point of this update is to clarify that paramiko
is not, from what I can tell by building and using (also from the repo),
broken under py3x. Therefore, dependencies marked as broken under py3x due to
paramiko will be unmarked (unless they are broken for lack of py3x support).

>From sites/www/changelog.rst:

:support:`554 backported` Fix inaccuracies in the docstring for the ECDSA key class. Thanks to Jared Hance for the patch.

:support:`516 backported` Document ~paramiko.agent.AgentRequestHandler. Thanks to @toejough for report & suggestions.

:bug:`496` Fix a handful of small but critical bugs in Paramiko's GSSAPI support (note: this includes switching from PyCrypo's Random to os.urandom). Thanks to Anselm Kruis for catch & patch.

:bug:`491` (combines :issue:`62` and :issue:`439`) Implement timeout functionality to address hangs from dropped network connections and/or failed handshakes. Credit to @vazir and @dacut for the original patches and to Olle Lundberg for reimplementation.

:bug:`490` Skip invalid/unparseable lines in known_hosts files, instead of raising ~paramiko.ssh_exception.SSHException. This brings Paramiko's behavior more in line with OpenSSH, which silently ignores such input. Catch & patch courtesy of Martin Topholm.

:bug:`404` Print details when displaying ~paramiko.ssh_exception.BadHostKeyException objects (expected vs received data) instead of just "hey shit broke". Patch credit: Loic Dachary.

:bug:`469` (also :issue:`488`, :issue:`461` and like a dozen others) Fix a typo introduced in the 1.15 release which broke WinPageant support. Thanks to everyone who submitted patches, and to Steve Cohen who was the lucky winner of the cherry-pick lottery.

:bug:`353` (via :issue:`482`) Fix a bug introduced in the Python 3 port which caused OverFlowError (and other symptoms) in SFTP functionality. Thanks to @dboreham for leading the troubleshooting charge, and to Scott Maxwell for the final patch.

:support:`582` Fix some old setup.py related helper code which was breaking bdist_dumb on Mac OS X. Thanks to Peter Odding for the patch.

:bug:`22 major` Try harder to connect to multiple network families (e.g. IPv4 vs IPv6) in case of connection issues; this helps with problems such as hosts which resolve both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses but are only listening on IPv4. Thanks to Dries Desmet for original report and Torsten Landschoff for the foundational patchset.

:bug:`402` Check to see if an SSH agent is actually present before trying to forward it to the remote end. This replaces what was usually a useless TypeError with a human-readable ~paramiko.ssh_exception.AuthenticationException. Credit to Ken Jordan for the fix and Yvan Marques for original report.

Updated databases/mysql56 to 5.6.26; databases/mysql55 to 5.5.46; databases/py-mysql-connector to 2.1.3

(adam)

2015-10-03 12:49:11 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Changes 2.1.3:
* Connector/Python is now compatible with Django 1.8.
* When using the C Extension with raise_on_warnings=True, errors were not thrown as exceptions when an executed statement produced an error, and it was not possible to reuse the cursor if the statement produced a result set.
* When using the C Extension, character decoding of identifiers (database, table, column names) in result sets could fail.
* When using the C Extension with the auth_plugin option, connect() calls failed.
* In connections for which consume_results=True, callproc() could hang.
* Connections failed if the password began or ended with spaces because they were being stripped before the connection attempt.
* Connection failure occurred for accounts authenticated with the sha256_password authentication plugin that had a blank password.
* The Connector/Python C Extension could exit when fetching a result set containing many NULL values.
* Connector/Python failed to complete the connection handshake with MySQL Server 5.5.8.

2015-10-03 12:46:13 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Changes 5.6.27:
* InnoDB: The new innodb_numa_interleave read-only configuration option allows you to enable the NUMA interleave memory policy for allocation of the InnoDB buffer pool. When innodb_numa_interleave is enabled, the NUMA memory policy is set to MPOL_INTERLEAVE for the mysqld process. After the InnoDB buffer pool is allocated, the NUMA memory policy is set back to MPOL_DEFAULT. This option is only available on NUMA-enabled systems.
* yaSSL was upgraded to version 2.3.8.
* RPM .spec files were updated so that MySQL Server builds from source RPM packages will include the proper files to take advantage of operating system NUMA capabilities. This introduces a runtime dependency on libnuma.so.1. RPM and yum detect this and refuse to install if that library is not installed.
* InnoDB: Reloading a table that was evicted while empty caused an AUTO_INCREMENT value to be reset.
* InnoDB: Memory allocation sanity checks were added to the memcached code.
* InnoDB: A memcached flush_all command raised an assertion. A function that starts a transaction was called from within assertion code.
* InnoDB: A data corruption occurred on ARM64. GCC builtins did not issue the correct fences when setting or unsetting the lock word.
* InnoDB: Server shutdown was delayed waiting for the purge thread to exit. To avoid this problem, the number of calls to trx_purge() was reduced, and the trx_purge() batch size was reduced to 20.
* InnoDB: In READ COMMITTED mode, a REPLACE operation on a unique secondary index resulted in a constraint violation.
* InnoDB: The IBUF_BITMAP_FREE bit indicated that there was more free space in the leaf page than was actually available.
* InnoDB: Setting lower_case_table_names=0 on a case-insensitive file system could result in a hang condition when running an INSERT INTO ... SELECT ... FROM tbl_name operation with the wrong tbl_name letter case. An error message is now printed and the server exits when attempting to start the server with --lower_case_table_names=0 on a case-insensitive file system.
* InnoDB: The server failed to start with an innodb_force_recovery setting greater than 3. InnoDB was set to read-only mode before redo logs were applied.
* InnoDB: The trx_sys_read_pertable_file_format_id() function reported the wrong file format.
* Partitioning: CREATE TABLE statements that used an invalid function in a subpartitioning expression did not always fail gracefully as expected.
* Partitioning: Error handling for failed partitioning-related ALTER TABLE operations against non-partitioned tables was not performed correctly
* Partitioning: ALTER TABLE when executed from a stored procedure did not always work correctly with tables partitioned by RANGE.
* Replication: Repeatedly checking for ERR_LOCK_WAIT_TIMEOUT (as done, for example by repeatedly executing SHOW SLAVE STATUS) during a prolonged write lock on a table led to an assert.
* Replication: If statement based logging was in use, when updating multiple tables in a single statement, a single transaction could be logged as two different transactions. This was due to the binary logging process not properly identifying statements which were operating over transactional tables. The fix ensures that they are correctly identified, even if such statements do not change the contents of the tables.

Changes 5.5.46:
* yaSSL was upgraded to version 2.3.8.
* InnoDB: A data corruption occurred on ARM64. GCC builtins did not issue the correct fences when setting or unsetting the lock word.
* InnoDB: In READ COMMITTED mode, a REPLACE operation on a unique secondary index resulted in a constraint violation. Thanks to Alexey Kopytov for the patch.
* Partitioning: CREATE TABLE statements that used an invalid function in a subpartitioning expression did not always fail gracefully as expected.
* Partitioning: ALTER TABLE when executed from a stored procedure did not always work correctly with tables partitioned by RANGE.
* Certain subqueries as arguments to PROCEDURE ANALYSE() could cause a server exit.
* mysql_ssl_rsa_setup could create an unwanted .rnd file in the data directory. (The file is actually created by openssl, which mysql_ssl_ras_setup invokes. mysql_ssl_rsa_setup now cleans up the file.)
* An assertion could be raised due to incorrect error handling if a SELECT ... FOR UPDATE subquery resulted in deadlock and caused a rollback.
* Servers linked against yaSSL and compiled with GCC 4.8.2 could fail to respond correctly to connection attempts until several seconds after startup.
* For tables with subpartitions, the server could exit due to incorrect error handling during partition pruning if the partition could be identified but not the subpartition.
* DELETE could check privileges for the wrong database when table aliases were used.
* Within a trigger, use of a cursor that accessed OLD or NEW values from a row could cause a server exit.
* MySQL sometimes produced no warning when it was unable to interpret a character in a given character set.
* For MySQL distributions linked against yaSSL, a corrupt client key file could cause clients to exit.
* Execution of certain BINLOG statements while temporary tables were open by HANDLER statements could cause a server exit.

Upstream CHANGELOG
==================

Release notes

It's been a couple years since 0.97, high time for a new release!

This release brings a slew of enhancements and bug fixes. Much
attention is given to layout configuration functionality and
customization. Tabs functionality is better polished; there were many
corner case type bugs here. The preferences UI (which includes the vast
bulk of the applications' widgetry) is better polished and numerous
quirks and bugs removed. Scrollbars and scrolling is also made more
solid in this release.

One of the principle goals for this release was conversion to Gtk3.
Unfortunately this is still a work in progress, but since progress on
that front is slow, we decided getting an interim release out with all
these improvements was probably more important than waiting until the
conversion was finished. For the interested, the Gtk3 work is being
done in a development branch which you're welcome to peek into.

Going forward, our plan is to continue with a 0.99 bug-fix release and
then a stable 1.00. The 1.x branch will remain Gtk2-based and focused
on stabilization, while a new 2.x branch will be focused on the
Gtk3/Python3/GObject porting work.

2015-10-01 23:11:41 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 7.1.2. Previous version was having some difficulty with certain TLS
connections. Issue is resolved in this version.

Release Notes

7.1.2 (2015-08-22)

Don't raise an error if pip is not installed when checking for the latest pip version.

7.1.1 (2015-08-20)

Check that the wheel cache directory is writable before we attempt to write cached files to them.
Move the pip version check until after any installs have been performed, thus removing the extraenous warning when upgrading pip.
Added debug logging when using a cached wheel.
Respect platlib by default on platforms that have it separated from purlib.
    Upgrade packaging to 15.3.
Normalize post-release spellings for rev/r prefixes.
    Upgrade distlib to 0.2.1.
Updated launchers to decode shebangs using UTF-8. This allows non-ASCII pathnames to be correctly handled.
Ensured that the executable written to shebangs is normcased.
Changed ScriptMaker to work better under Jython.
    Upgrade ipaddress to 1.0.13.

7.1.0 (2015-06-30)

Allow constraining versions globally without having to know exactly what will be installed by the pip command. #2731.
    Accept --no-binary and --only-binary via pip.conf. #2867.
Allow --allow-all-external within a requirements file.
Fixed an issue where --user could not be used when --prefix was used in a distutils configuration file.
Fixed an issue where the SOABI tags were not correctly being generated on Python 3.5.
Fixed an issue where we were advising windows users to upgrade by directly executing pip, when that would always fail on Windows.
Allow ~ to be expanded within a cache directory in all situations.

7.0.3 (2015-06-01)

Fixed a regression where --no-cache-dir would raise an exception, fixes #2855.

7.0.2 (2015-06-01)

BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Revert the change (released in v7.0.0) that required quoting in requirements files around specifiers containing environment markers. (PR #2841)
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Revert the accidental introduction of support for options interleaved with requirements, version specifiers etc in requirements files. (PR #2841)
Expand ~ in the cache directory when caching wheels, fixes #2816.
Use python -m pip instead of pip when recommending an upgrade command to Windows users.

7.0.1 (2015-05-22)

Don't build and cache wheels for non-editable installations from VCSs.
    Allow --allow-all-external inside of a requirements.txt file, fixing a regression in 7.0.

7.0.0 (2015-05-21)

BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Removed the deprecated --mirror, --use-mirrors, and -M options.
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Removed the deprecated zip and unzip commands.
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Removed the deprecated --no-install and --no-download options.
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE No longer implicitly support an insecure origin origin, and instead require insecure origins be explicitly trusted with the --trusted-host option.
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Removed the deprecated link scraping that attempted to parse HTML comments for a specially formatted comment.
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Requirements in requirements files containing markers must now be quoted due to parser changes from (PR #2697) and (PR #2725). For example, use "SomeProject; python_version < '2.7'", not simply SomeProject; python_version < '2.7'
Ignores bz2 archives if Python wasn't compiled with bz2 support. Fixes #497
Support --install-option and --global-option per requirement in requirement files (PR #2537)
Build Wheels prior to installing from sdist, caching them in the pip cache directory to speed up subsequent installs. (PR #2618)
Allow fine grained control over the use of wheels and source builds. (PR #2699)
--no-use-wheel and --use-wheel are deprecated in favour of new options --no-binary and --only-binary. The equivalent of --no-use-wheel is --no-binary=:all:. (PR #2699)
The use of --install-option, --global-option or --build-option disable the use of wheels, and the autobuilding of wheels. (PR #2711) Fixes #2677
Improve logging when a requirement marker doesn't match your environment (PR #2735)
Removed the temporary modifications (that began in pip v1.4 when distribute and setuptools merged) that allowed distribute to be considered a conflict to setuptools. pip install -U setuptools will no longer upgrade "distribute" to "setuptools". Instead, use pip install -U distribute (PR #2767).
Only display a warning to upgrade pip when the newest version is a final release and it is not a post release of the version we already have installed (PR #2766).
Display a warning when attempting to access a repository that uses HTTPS when we don't have Python compiled with SSL support (PR #2761).
Allowing using extras when installing from a file path without requiring the use of an editable (PR #2785).
Fix an infinite loop when the cache directory is stored on a file system which does not support hard links (PR #2796).
Remove the implicit debug log that was written on every invocation, instead users will need to use --log if they wish to have one (PR #2798).

6.1.1 (2015-04-07)

No longer ignore dependencies which have been added to the standard library, instead continue to install them.

6.1.0 (2015-04-07)

Fixes #2502. Upgrades were failing when no potential links were found for dependencies other than the current installation. (PR #2538)
Use a smoother progress bar when the terminal is capable of handling it, otherwise fallback to the original ASCII based progress bar.
Display much less output when pip install succeeds, because on success, users probably don't care about all the nitty gritty details of compiling and installing. When pip install fails, display the failed install output once instead of twice, because once is enough. (PR #2487)
Upgrade the bundled copy of requests to 2.6.0, fixing CVE-2015-2296.
Display format of latest package when using pip list --outdated. (PR #2475)
Don't use pywin32 as ctypes should always be available on Windows, using pywin32 prevented uninstallation of pywin32 on Windows. (PR #2467)
Normalize the --wheel-dir option, expanding out constructs such as ~ when used (PR #2441).
Display a warning when an undefined extra has been requested. (PR #2142)
Speed up installing a directory in certain cases by creating a sdist instead of copying the entire directory. (PR #2535)
Don't follow symlinks when uninstalling files (PR #2552)
Upgrade the bundled copy of cachecontrol from 0.11.1 to 0.11.2. Fixes #2481 (PR #2595)
Attempt to more smartly choose the order of installation to try and install dependencies before the projects that depend on them. (PR #2616)
Skip trying to install libraries which are part of the standard library. (PR #2636, PR #2602)
Support arch specific wheels that are not tied to a specific Python ABI. (PR #2561)
Output warnings and errors to stderr instead of stdout. (PR #2543)
Adjust the cache dir file checks to only check ownership if the effective user is root. (PR #2396)
Install headers into a per project name directory instead of all of them into the root directory when inside of a virtual environment. (PR #2421)

6.0.8 (2015-02-04)

Fix an issue where the --download flag would cause pip to no longer use randomized build directories.
Fix an issue where pip did not properly unquote quoted URLs which contain characters like PEP 440's epoch separator (!).
Fix an issue where distutils installed projects were not actually uninstalled and deprecate attempting to uninstall them altogether.
Retry deleting directories incase a process like an antivirus is holding the directory open temporarily.
Fix an issue where pip would hide the cursor on Windows but would not reshow it.

6.0.7 (2015-01-28)

Fix a regression where Numpy requires a build path without symlinks to properly build.
Fix a broken log message when running pip wheel without a requirement.
Don't mask network errors while downloading the file as a hash failure.
Properly create the state file for the pip version check so it only happens once a week.
Fix an issue where switching between Python 3 and Python 2 would evict cached items.
Fix a regression where pip would be unable to successfully uninstall a project without a normalized version.

6.0.6 (2015-01-03)

Continue the regression fix from 6.0.5 which was not a complete fix.

6.0.5 (2015-01-03)

Fix a regression with 6.0.4 under Windows where most commands would raise an exception due to Windows not having the os.geteuid() function.

6.0.4 (2015-01-03)

Fix an issue where ANSI escape codes would be used on Windows even though the Windows shell does not support them, causing odd characters to appear with the progress bar.
Fix an issue where using -v would cause an exception saying TypeError: not all arguments converted during string formatting.
Fix an issue where using -v with dependency links would cause an exception saying TypeError: 'InstallationCandidate' object is not iterable.
Fix an issue where upgrading distribute would cause an exception saying TypeError: expected string or buffer.
Show a warning and disable the use of the cache directory when the cache directory is not owned by the current user, commonly caused by using sudo without the -H flag.
Update PEP 440 support to handle the latest changes to PEP 440, particularly the changes to >V and <V so that they no longer imply !=V.*.
Document the default cache directories for each operating system.
Create the cache directory when the pip version check needs to save to it instead of silently logging an error.
Fix a regression where the -q flag would not properly suppress the display of the progress bars.

6.0.3 (2014-12-23)

Fix an issue where the implicit version check new in pip 6.0 could cause pip to block for up to 75 seconds if PyPI was not accessible.
    Make --no-index imply --disable-pip-version-check.

6.0.2 (2014-12-23)

Fix an issue where the output saying that a package was installed would report the old version instead of the new version during an upgrade.
Fix left over merge conflict markers in the documentation.
Document the backwards incompatible PEP 440 change in the 6.0.0 changelog.

6.0.1 (2014-12-22)

Fix executable file permissions for Wheel files when using the distutils scripts option.
Fix a confusing error message when an exceptions was raised at certain points in pip's execution.
Fix the missing list of versions when a version cannot be found that matches the specifiers.
Add a warning about the possibly problematic use of > when the given specifier doesn't match anything.
Fix an issue where installing from a directory would not copy over certain directories which were being excluded, however some build systems rely on them.

6.0 (2014-12-22)

PROCESS Version numbers are now simply X.Y where the leading 1 has been dropped.
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Dropped support for Python 3.1.
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE Removed the bundle support which was deprecated in 1.4. (PR #1806)
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE File lists generated by pip show -f are now rooted at the location reported by show, rather than one (unstated) directory lower. (PR #1933)
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE The ability to install files over the FTP protocol was accidently lost in pip 1.5 and it has now been decided to not restore that ability.
BACKWARD INCOMPATIBLE PEP 440 is now fully implemented, this means that in some cases versions will sort differently or version specifiers will be interpreted differently than previously. The common cases should all function similarly to before.
DEPRECATION pip install --download-cache and pip wheel --download-cache command line flags have been deprecated and the functionality removed. Since pip now automatically configures and uses it's internal HTTP cache which supplants the --download-cache the existing options have been made non functional but will still be accepted until their removal in pip v8.0. For more information please see https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/reference/pip_install.html#caching
DEPRECATION pip install --build and pip install --no-clean are now NOT deprecated. This reverses the deprecation that occurred in v1.5.3. See #906 for discussion.
DEPRECATION Implicitly accessing URLs which point to an origin which is not a secure origin, instead requiring an opt-in for each host using the new --trusted-host flag (pip install --trusted-host example.com foo).
Allow the new --trusted-host flag to also disable TLS verification for a particular hostname.
Added a --user flag to pip freeze and pip list to check the user site directory only.
Fixed #1873. Silence byte compile errors when installation succeed.
    Added a virtualenv-specific configuration file. (PR #1364)
Added site-wide configuation files. (PR #1978)
Added an automatic check to warn if there is an updated version of pip available (PR #2049).
wsgiref and argparse (for >py26) are now excluded from pip list and pip freeze (PR #1606, PR #1369)
Fixed #1424. Add --client-cert option for SSL client certificates.
Fixed #1484. pip show --files was broken for wheel installs. (PR #1635)
Fixed #1641. install_lib should take precedence when reading distutils config. (PR #1642)
Send Accept-Encoding: identity when downloading files in an attempt to convince some servers who double compress the downloaded file to stop doing so. (PR #1688)
Fixed #1559. Stop breaking when given pip commands in uppercase (PR #1725)
Fixed #1618. Pip no longer adds duplicate logging consumers, so it won't create duplicate output when being called multiple times. (PR #1723)
Fixed #1769. pip wheel now returns an error code if any wheels fail to build.
Fixed #1775. pip wheel wasn't building wheels for dependencies of editable requirements.
Allow the use of --no-use-wheel within a requirements file. (PR #1859)
Fixed #1680. Attempt to locate system TLS certificates to use instead of the included CA Bundle if possible. (PR #1866)
Fixed #1319. Allow use of Zip64 extension in Wheels and other zip files. (PR #1868)
Fixed #1101. Properly handle an index or --find-links target which has a <base> without a href attribute. (PR #1869)
Fixed #1885. Properly handle extras when a project is installed via Wheel. (PR #1896)
Fixed #1180. Added support to respect proxies in pip search. It also fixes #932 and #1104. (PR #1902)
Fixed #798 and #1060. pip install --download works with vcs links. (PR #1926)
Fixed #1456. Disabled warning about insecure index host when using localhost. Based off of Guy Rozendorn's work in PR #1718. (PR #1967)
Allow the use of OS standard user configuration files instead of ones simply based around $HOME. (PR #2021)
Fixed #1825. When installing directly from wheel paths or urls, previous versions were not uninstalled. This also fixes #804 specifically for the case of wheel archives. (PR #1838)
Fixed #2075, detect the location of the .egg-info directory by looking for any file located inside of it instead of relying on the record file listing a directory. (PR #2076)
Fixed #1964, #1935, #676, Use a randomized and secure default build directory when possible. (PR #2122, CVE-2014-8991)
Fixed #1433. Support environment markers in requirements.txt files. (PR #2134)
Automatically retry failed HTTP requests by default. (PR #1444, PR #2147)
Fixed #1100 - Handle HTML Encoding better using a method that is more similar to how browsers handle it. (PR #1874)
Reduce the verbosity of the pip command by default. (PR #2175, PR #2177, PR #2178)
Fixed #2031 - Respect sys.executable on OSX when installing from Wheels.
Display the entire URL of the file that is being downloaded when downloading from a non PyPI repository (PR #2183).
Support setuptools style environment markers in a source distribution (PR #2153).

copy, a new function gdk_pixbuf_read_pixels() was introduced
which returns a const pointer to the data without copying.

Updated devel/kyua to 0.11

(prlw1)

2015-10-01 15:17:32 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update kyua to 0.11

Changes in version 0.11
=======================

Released on October 23rd, 2014.

* Added support to print the details of all test cases (metadata and
their output) to 'report'.  This is via a new '--verbose' flag which
  replaces the previous '--show-context'.

* Added support to specify the amount of physical disk space required
by a test case.  This is in the form of a new "required_disk_space"
metadata property, which can also be provided by ATF test cases as
  "require.diskspace".

* Assimilated the contents of all the kyua-*-tester(1) and
kyua-*-interface(7) manual pages into more relevant places.  In
particular, added more details on test program registration and their
metadata to kyuafile(5), and added kyua-test-isolation(7) describing
the isolation features of the test execution.

* Assimilated the contents of all auxiliary manual pages, including
  kyua-build-root(7), kyua-results-files(7), kyua-test-filters(7) and
kyua-test-isolation(7), into the relevant command-specific manual
pages.  This is for easier discoverability of relevant information
when reading how specific Kyua commands work.

* Issue 30: Plumbed through support to query configuration variables
from ATF's test case heads.  This resolves the confusing situation
where test cases could only do this from their body and cleanup
  routines.

* Issue 49: Extended 'report' to support test case filters as
command-line arguments.  Combined with '--verbose', this allows
inspecting the details of a test case failure after execution.

* Issue 55: Deprecated support for specifying test_suite overrides on
a test program basis.  This idiom should not be used but support for
  it remains in place.

* Issue 72: Added caching support to the getcwd(3) test in configure so
that the result can be overriden for cross-compilation purposes.

* Issue 83: Changed manual page headings to include a "kyua" prefix in
their name.  This prevents some possible confusion when displaying,
for example, the "kyua-test" manual page with a plain name of "test".

* Issue 84: Started passing test-suite configuration variables to plain
and TAP test programs via the environment.  The name of the
environment variables set this way is prefixed by TEST_ENV_, so a
  configuration variable of the form
  'test_suites.some_name.allow_unsafe_ops=yes' in kyua.conf becomes
  'TEST_ENV_allow_unsafe_ops=YES' in the environment.

* Issue 97 and 116: Fixed the build on Illumos.

* Issue 102: Set TMPDIR to the test case's work directory when running
the test case.  If the test case happens to use the mktemp(3) family
of functions (due to misunderstandings on how Kyua works or due to
the reuse of legacy test code), we don't want it to easily escape the
  automanaged work directory.

* Issue 103: Started being more liberal in the parsing of TAP test
results by treating the number in 'ok' and 'not ok' lines as optional.

* Issue 105: Started using tmpfs instead of md as a temporary file
system for tests in FreeBSD so that we do not leak md(4) devices.

* Issue 109: Changed the privilege dropping code to start properly
dropping group privileges when unprivileged_user is set.  Also fixes
  testers/run_test:fork_wait__unprivileged_group.

* Issue 110: Changed 'help' to display version information and clarified
the purpose of the 'about' command in its documentation.

* Issue 111: Fixed crash when defining a test program in a Kyuafile that
has not yet specified the test suite name.

* Issue 114: Improved the kyuafile(5) manual page by clarifying the
restrictions of the include() directive and by adding abundant
  examples.

The XQuartz project is an open-source effort to develop a version of
the X.Org X Window System that runs on OS X. Together with supporting
libraries and applications, it forms the X11.app that Apple has shipped

Updated devel/gettext to 0.19.6

(wiz)

2015-09-30 20:58:33 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update gettext* to 0.19.6:

Version 0.19.6 - September 2015

* Programming languages support:
  - AppData:
xgettext now supports AppData file format, used by software center
applications (e.g., GNOME Software) to describe installable
    applications.

* A new macro AM_GNU_GETTEXT_REQUIRE_VERSION can be used to indicate
autopoint to pull the latest available infrastructure, instead of
the exact version specified with AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION.  When
  AM_GNU_GETTEXT_REQUIRE_VERSION is used, AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION is
  ignored.

* po/Makefile.in.in can now insert the file $(DOMAIN).pot-header to
$(DOMAIN).pot, instead of the standard header comments.

* Bug fixes:
  - Fix mishandling of gettext version numbers for minor releases, in
    po-mode.el and gettextize.
  - Fix build with --enable-relocatable.

Version 0.19.5 - July 2015

* xgettext now has a feature to perform syntax checks on msgid, which
could enforce common styles of translatable strings, such as to
prefer Unicode characters to the corresponding ASCII characters.
They can be enabled with --check option or special "xgettext: "
comment in the source code.  By default, no syntax checks are
  enabled.

* msgfilter and msgexec now have an option --newline, which appends a
newline character to filter input and trims it from the filter
output.  This would allow filter programs to be more POSIX friendly.

* The base Unicode standard is now updated to 8.0.0.  This
particularly improves "\N{...}" notation handling of xgettext for
  Perl and Python.

* msginit is now capable of generating "Plural-Forms:" from Unicode
CLDR.  This feature is still experimental, but you can try it by
setting the GETTEXTCLDRDIR environment variable pointing to the
directory where the CLDR archive is extracted.  The actual
conversion is done by a helper program 'cldr-plural', which can be
used as a generic converter and evaluator of CLDR plural forms.

* Programming languages support:
  - C++ with KDE: xgettext and msgfmt can now recognize KUIT (KDE User
Interface Text) markup.  See the documentation section "KUIT
    Format Strings" for more info.
  - C++ with KDE: xgettext now recognizes all default KDE keywords.
This removes the need for a long list of --keyword and --flag
options to perform a reasonable extraction.

* Bug fixes:
  - xgettext C++11 raw string recognition is now stricter and don't
    accept unbalanced delimiters.
  - Suppress baseless warnings which msgfmt emits when processing a
    .desktop file.
  - xgettext line wrapping behaviour is now consistent between comment
    lines and non-comment lines.
  - Fix msgfilter-7 test failure on some platforms.
  - Fix VPATH build.

(wiz)

2015-09-30 20:26:51 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 6.5.1:

Version 6.5.1 - Sep 15 2015

[CHANGES]
New facilities:
o gtags(c, c++): New environment variable GTAGSFORCEENDBLOCK.
If this variable is set, each '}' at the first column brings
  end of all blocks.
o gtags: New --skip-unreadable option.
If this option is specified, gtags skips unreadable files
  instead of exiting the command.

[FIXED BUGS]
o gtags: There was a difference of interpretation of the langmap
between gtags and ctags. Now there is no difference.

o gtags (C++): Gtags did not pick up 'my_type1' as a definition
  in the following example:
[xxx.cpp]
+------------------------
|using my_type1 = double;
Now it picks up the symbol as a definition.

o gtags (C++): gtags picked up 'DomainId_t' as a definition
        in the following example:
[xxx.cc]
+------------------------
        |typedef std::map<DomainId_t, int> map_t2;
Now it does not pick up it as a definition.

o gtags (C, C++): Gtags did not pick up 'pr_debug' as a definition
  in the following example:
[xxx.h]
+------------------------
|extern void dump_stack(void) __cold;
|#define pr_debug() printk()
Now it picks up it as a definition.

o gtags (PHP): Gtags did not treat back-quote correctly.
[xxx.php]
+------------------------
|<?php `ls $echo ~/*`; ?>
  Now it works.

[INCOMPATIBLE CHANGES]
o gozilla: Now, gozilla invokes firefox as a generic browser, that is, using
command line 'firefox url'. Because firefox have removed the -remote command
  since version 39.

(wiz)

2015-09-30 20:20:49 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 0.92:

0.92    2015-09-27

- I accidentally released 0.90 as a non-trial release. This release is the
same as 0.46, so that the newest non-trial release does not break the
  DateTime.pm tests.

0.91    2015-09-27

- Released the changes in 0.90 as a trial release.

0.90    2015-09-27

[ENHANCEMENTS]

- Updated based on version 28 of the CLDR data. The last update was based on
the CLDR 1.7.1 release from 2009, so this is a big change. Many things have
changed in terms of locale data.

- Some locales are no longer available because they are not in the CLDR data.

- The CLDR data no longer includes default date and time format lengths. This
is now "medium" for every locale, simply to provide some level of backwards
  compatibility.

- The old API deprecated since 0.40 has been removed (almost) entirely.

- Loading DateTime::Locale itself is now quite a bit faster. The whole locale
registration system has been removed entirely, except for custom
locales. This fixes RT #78794. Requested by Michael Conrad.

- A long-standing issue with the Austrian locale not using the Austrian name
for January has been fixed. RT #52337. Reported by Thomas Klausner.

[BACKWARDS INCOMPATIBILITIES]

* This is a big new release, and includes a number of backwards-incompatible
changes. However, most users should be unaffected by this change. If you
only use this module via DateTime.pm, you are unlikely to notice any changes
other than changes to the locale data.

* We now refer to things as "code" in the docs and method names where we used
to call them ids. This includes locale, language, script, territory, and
variant codes. This is more in line with the various ISO standards and the
  CLDR packages.

* All the $locale->*_id methods (including $locale->id) are deprecated. Use
  the relevant $locale->*_code method instead.

* The canonical form of the locale codes now uses dashes (-) instead of
underscores (_). Loading a locale with an underscore in the name
  (e.g. en_US) still works.

* The way that locale data is packaged has changed quite a bit. We no longer
package each locale in its own class. Instead, all locale data is in a
single module (mostly in a __DATA__ section) and loaded into memory as
needed. If you have any code that checks $locale->isa, that code may
  break.

* Locales are no longer subclasses of DateTime::Locale::Base. However, this
module is still included in the distribution in case someone has a custom
locale that inherits from this module. However, this module will go away in
  a future release.

* The "ii-*" aliases for the "he-*" locales have been removed.

* The "no-*" aliases for the "nn-*" locales have been removed.

* The value of $locale->code no longer reflects the value passed to
DateTime::Locale->load. This only affects aliases and non-canonical forms of
the code. For example, if you load "en_US" then $locale->code returns
"en-US". If you load "C" or "POSIX" the code is "en-US-POSIX".

* All of the documentation related to creating aliases and registering custom
locales has been removed. All of these methods still work, but I don't think
this system got much use, so I don't want to emphasize it in the docs (but
let me know if you are using this and want to see these docs restored).

Updated finance/gnucash to 2.6.8

(wiz)

2015-09-30 19:48:23 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 2.6.8:

2.6.8 - 27 September 2015
Announcement: GnuCash 2.6.8 Release 2015-09-27
GnuCash 2.6.8 released

The GnuCash development team proudly announces GnuCash 2.6.8, the
eighth maintenance release in the 2.6-stable series.

The following bugs are fixed:

Bug 724738 - Value in "Display Symbol" field not saved.
Bug 746998 - "Months Remaining" spinbox in Loan Assistant is
non-obvious. Provide a tool tip explaining what it's for.
Bug 747795 - Attached file not found. MSWin only. ShellExecuteW("open")
doesn't decode http escapes on file: IRIs.
Bug 749077 - wrongfully invalidating any account save
        location/path starting with ".gnucash"
Bug 752035 - Transaction Report "Filter By" Not Always Working.
Bug 752204 - .gml2 files are modified during build. Since there's
no real benefit to saving the files most of the time, don't,
but leave the save line in, commented out, to make it easy to
        write new files if necessary.
    Bug 752879 - Finance::Quote TZ Date::Manip config variable is
        deprecated.
Bug 753146 - free(): invalid pointer on duplicate transaction
when Use Split Action Field for Number is set.
    Bug 754617 - Gnucash should use PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG
    Bug 754764 Budget Doxygen documentation - gnc-budget-view.c.

Other repairs that weren't marked as bugs in git:
Clean up deprecated Gtk functions to make eventual migration to
    Gtk3 easier.

Improve storage of prices in the price db so that there is only
one per day and a preference list determines what sources can
overwrite existing prices. Prices are stored in the direction
that the price is greater than one to preserve precision for
large prices that would be small in the other direction.

Correct the Stock, Bond, Market Index, and Mutual Fund account
types to ASSET in the template accounts.  STOCK and MUTUAL are
    not compatible with currency.

    Clean up some non-fatal asserts.

    Developer documentation improvements.

Fix backend Sync errors not being reported.

    Restore Date::Manip as an explicit dependency in gnc-fq-update;
    it's required for gnc-fq-helper, not Finance::Quote.

Updated Translations:
    Danish, Dutch, French, German

Update to 0.9.1:

* Release 0.9.1 (21-Sep-2015)

Point release to deal with PyPI upload problems. No code changes.

* Release 0.9.0 (21-Sep-2015)

** Plugins for Connection Handlers (#236)

New types of connection hints can now be used, by installing a suitable
connection handler into the Tub. These hints could point to I2P servers or
Tor hidden-service (.onion) addresses. The built-in TCP handler can be
replaced entirely to protect a client's IP address by routing all connections
through Tor. Implementation of these plugins are left as exercise for the
reader: Foolscap only provides the built-in "DefaultTCP" handler. See
doc/connection-handlers.rst for details.

** Shared Listeners are removed (#239)

Until this version, it was possible to create a single Listener that serviced
multiple Tubs (by passing the Listener returned from `l=tubA.listenOn(where)`
into `tubB.listenOn(l)`). This seemed useful a long time ago, but in fact was
not, and the implementation caused irreparable problems that were exposed
while testing the new connection handlers. So support for shared Listeners
has been removed: Tubs can still use multiple Listeners, but each Listener
now services at most one Tub. In particular, `Tub.listenOn()` now only
accepts a string, not a Listener instance.

Note that relays and redirects are still on the roadmap, but neither feature
requires sharing a Listener between multiple local Tubs.

** Extended-Form Connection Hints are removed

Support for extended-form connection hints has been removed. These were hints
with explicit key names like "tcp:host=example.org:port=12345", or
"tcp:example.org:timeout=30". They were added in the 0.7.0 release, but since
then we've realized that this is power that should not be granted to external
FURL providers.

The parser now only accepts "tcp:example.org:12345" and "example.org:12345".
Foolscap has never particularly encouraged applications to call
Tub.setLocation() with anything other than these two forms, so we do not
expect any compatibility problems.

** Option to Disable Gifts (#126)

"Gifts", more precisely known as "third-party reference introductions", occur
when one Tub sends you a message that includes a reference to some object on
a third Tub. This allows references to be passed around transparently,
without regard to which Tub they live on (yours, mine, or theirs), but allows
other Tubs to cause you to create network connections to hosts and ports of
their choosing. If this bothers you, the new `tub.setOption("accept-gifts",
False)` option instructs your Tub to reject these third-party references,
causing the calls that used them to signal a Violation error instead.

** Unreachable Tubs now fully supported (#208)

Unreachable "client-only" Tubs can be created by simply not calling either
`tub.listenOn()` nor `tub.setLocation()`. These Tubs can make outbound
connections, but will not accept inbound ones. `tub.registerReference()` will
throw an error, and Gifts delivered to third parties will not work.

Previous versions suggested using `tub.setLocation("")`: this is no longer
recommended.

** new util.allocate_tcp_port() function

To support a future deprecation of `Tub.listenOn("tcp:0")`, the new
allocate_tcp_port() function was added to return (synchronously) a
currently-unused TCP port integer. This can be used during app configuration
to decide on a listening port, which can then be passed into
`Tub.listenOn("tcp:%d" % portnum)`. This may allow Tub.setLocation() to be
called *before* the reactor is started, simplifying application startup code
(this also requires a suitable hostname or IP address, which is a separate
issue).

** Packaging/Dependency Changes

Foolscap now requires Twisted 10.1.0 or newer, to use Endpoints and
connection handler plugins.

Foolscap's logging system (specifically the twisted-to-foolscap bridge) is
now compatible with Twisted-15.2.0. The previous version had problems with
the new contents of twisted.logger's "eventDict" objects. (#235)

2015-09-30 10:11:45 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Bring xemacs-packages into the 21st century.

o Update packages

o Use DESTDIR features for installing, getting rid of the need to be
root and gaining the ability to patch elisp files in the process.

o Add a mechanism to re-byte-compile the patched elisp files, and
patches to deal with non-utf-8 XEmacsen.

o Grab maintainership

Tested with both 21.4 and 21.5 packages.

      11342 11350 11353 11242 11367 11392)

    * Avoid potentially erratic behaviour under certain error conditions by
either avoiding or at least not ignoring them, in various places (11008
      11010..11065 11112 11148 11196 11530)

  FreeBSD

    * Support releases 9.3 and 10.1 (11368 11369 11402 11403 11404)

    * Makes a disk cache more likely to work on FreeBSD, though such
configurations remain not very tested (11448)

  All server platforms

    * Added volscan(8) (11252..11280 11387 11388)

    * Fixed a bug causing subgroups not to function correctly if their
ptdb entry had more than one continuation entry (11352)

    * Logging improvements (10946 11153)

    * Allow log rotation via copy and truncate (11193)

    * Avoid a server crash during startup only observed on a single platform
and when using a 3rd party library under certain circumstances, which is
a collateral effect of the security improvements introduced in OpenAFS
      release 1.6.5 (11075) (RT #131852)

  All client platforms

    * Raised the free space reported for /afs to the maximum possible value of
just under 2 TiB - the old value was 9 GiB on most platforms (10984)

    * Reduced the amount of stack space used (11162 11163 11203 11164..11167
      11338 11339 11364..11366 11381)

on systems with a large number of PAGs and files in use (11307)

    * Fixed failure of the up command with large ACLs (11111)

    * Avoid a potential crash of aklog (11218)

    * Avoid potential crashes of scout and xstat_fs_test (11155)

  Linux clients

    * Support kernels up to 3.16 (11308 11309)

    * Fixed a regression introduced in OpenAFS release 1.6.6 that made
checking for existing write locks incorrectly fail on readonly volumes
      (11361)

    * Fixed a regression introduced in OpenAFS release 1.6.8 that could
cause VFS cache inconsistencies when a previously-accessed directory
entry was removed and recreated with the same name but pointing to a
different file on another client (11358)

    * Use the right path to depmod in Red Hat packaging to avoid dependency
calculation incorrectly failing unless a link /sbin -> /usr/sbin is
present on the system performing it (11171) (RT #131860)

    * Do not ignore kernel module build errors (11205)

                      User-Visible OpenAFS Changes

OpenAFS 1.6.11

  All platforms

    * Allow aklog to succeed creating native K5 tokens even when mapping
      the K5 principal to a K4 one fails (11538)

    * Build fixes (11435 11636)

  All client platforms

    * Avoid a potential kernel panic due to connection reference overcounts
      (11645) (RT #131885)

    * Avoid potential corruption of files written using memory mapped I/O
when the file is larger than the cache (11656) (RT #131976)

  Linux clients

    * Support kernels at least up to 3.19 (11549 11550 11569 11570 11595
      11658..11662 11694 11752)

Note: By default this excludes kernels 3.17 to 3.17.2, which will leak
an inode reference when an error occurs in d_splice_alias(). The
module will build and work, but leak kernel memory, leading to
performance degradation and eventually system failure due to
memory exhaustion. Since it's impossible to detect this condition
    automatically, the switch --enable-linux-d_splice_alias-extra-iput
must be passed to configure when building the module for those
kernels. The same would be necessary for any kernel with backports
    of commit 908790fa3b779d37365e6b28e3aa0f6e833020c3 or commit
95ad5c291313b66a98a44dc92b57e0b37c1dd589 but not the fix in commit
    51486b900ee92856b977eacfc5bfbe6565028070 in the linux-stable repo
    (git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git) or
the corresponding changes on other branches.

    * Fixed a regression introduced in OpenAFS release 1.6.10 which could
make the spurious "getcwd: cannot access parent directories" problem
      return (11558 11568) (RT #131780)

    * Avoid leaking memory when scanning a corrupt directory (11707)

  OS X clients

    * Support OS X 10.10 "Yosemite" (11571 11572 11611) (RT #131946)

  Solaris clients

    * Avoid reading random data rather than correct cache content when using
ZFS as the cache file system on Solaris >= 11, and fix potential similar
problems on other platforms (11713 11714)

  FreeBSD

    * Build fix for releases >= 11.0 (11610)

  OpenBSD

    * Support release 5.4 (11700)

                      User-Visible OpenAFS Changes

OpenAFS 1.6.11.1

  Linux clients

    * Support kernels up to 4.0 (11760 11761)

  FreeBSD clients

    * Fixed kernel module build on systems with an updated clang which no
      longer accepts the -mno-align-long-strings as a no-op (11809)
                      User-Visible OpenAFS Changes

OpenAFS 1.6.12

  All server platforms

    * Avoid database corruption if a database server is shut down and then
brought up again quickly with an altered database (11773 11774)
      (RT #131997)

  All client platforms

logged during startup when the cache initialization was very fast (11680)

    * Added documentation of the inaccuracy of the 'partition' field in
'fs listquota' output for partitions larger than 2 TiB (11626)

  Linux clients

    * Support kernels up to 4.1 (11872 11873)

    * Avoid spurious EIO errors when writing large chunks of data to
      mmapped files (11877)

  OS X

    * Build fixes required at least on OS X 10.10 Yosemite with the latest
      XCode (11859 11876 11842..11845 11863 11878 11879)

                      User-Visible OpenAFS Changes

OpenAFS 1.6.13

  All server platforms

    * Fix for CVE-2015-3282: vos leaks stack data onto the wire in the
      clear when creating vldb entries

    * Workaround for CVE-2015-3283: bos commands can be spoofed, including
      some which alter server state

    * Disabled searching the VLDB by volume name regular expression to avoid
possible buffer overruns in the volume location server

  All client platforms

    * Fix for CVE-2015-3284: pioctls leak kernel memory

    * Fix for CVE-2015-3285: kernel pioctl support for OSD command passing
      can trigger a panic

  Solaris clients

    * Fix for CVE-2015-3286: Solaris grouplist modifications for PAGs can
      panic  or overwrite memory

                      User-Visible OpenAFS Changes

OpenAFS 1.6.14

  All server platforms

    * Prior to the OpenAFS security release 1.6.13, the Volume Location
Server (vlserver) RPC VL_ListAttributesN2() supported wildcard volume
name lookups via regular expression (regex) pattern matching. This
support was completely disabled in 1.6.13 because it was judged to be
a security risk due to buffer overruns in the implementation, as well
as the possibility of denial of service attacks where certain regular
expressions could cause excessive CPU usage in some regex
      implementations.

Unfortunately, after 1.6.13 was released, it was discovered that
the native OpenAFS 'backup' system uses the VL_ListAttributesN2()
regex support to evaluate configured volume sets. If you use the
OpenAFS 'backup' system (or another backup system which relies on it,
such as Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM, aka Tivoli ADSM)), and are using
volume sets which require regular expressions for the volume name,
then those volume sets cannot be resolved by OpenAFS 1.6.13. The next
paragraph provides details on how to identify any affected volume sets.

OpenAFS backup volume sets may be described by fileserver, partition
name, and volume name. The fileserver and partition specifications
never require regular expression support. The volume name specification
always requires regular expression support except for when specifying
_all_ volumes via two special cases: the universal wildcard ".*", or "".
For example, volume name "proj" or "*.backup" or "homevol.*" all
require regex support - even if the specification contains no wildcard
characters and/or exactly matches an existing volume name.

As a result of this issue, OpenAFS 1.6.14 replaces the 1.6.13 changes
to VL_ListAttributesN2. 1.6.14 prevents the buffer overruns and
reenables the regex support, but restricts it to OpenAFS super-users
and -localauth only. This is sufficient to restore the OpenAFS 'backup'
system's ability to work correctly with any previously supported volume
set. The OpenAFS 'backup' commands are already documented to require
super-user authorization, so this restriction is moot for the backup
      system.

There are no other direct consumers of the VL_ListAttributesN2() regex
support in the OpenAFS tree. However, the VL_ListAttributesN2 RPC is
publicly accessible and might be used by third party tools directly or
indirectly via OpenAFS's libadmin. Any such tools that issue
VL_ListAttributesN2 RPCs must now be executed using super-user or
      -localauth tokens.

None of the other security fixes in OpenAFS 1.6.13 are known to have
any issues, and are still included unchanged in OpenAFS 1.6.14.

If there are any questions concerning the possible impact of OpenAFS
1.6.13 or 1.6.14 at your site, please contact your OpenAFS support
provider or the openafs-info@openafs.org mailing list for further
      assistance.

Update to 1.8.60

Changelog:
From: https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/release_changes.xml
Java 8 Update 60 (8u60)
Release Highlights

    IANA Data 2015e
JDK 8u60 contains IANA time zone data version 2015e. For more information, refer to Timezone Data Versions in the JRE Software.
Bug Fix: dns_lookup_realm should be false by default
The dns_lookup_realm setting in Kerberos' krb5.conf file is by default false. See 8080637.
Bug Fix: Disable RC4 cipher suites
RC4-based TLS ciphersuites (e.g. TLS_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA) are now considered compromised and should no longer be used (see RFC 7465). Accordingly, RC4-based TLS ciphersuites have been deactivated by default in the Oracle JSSE implementation by adding "RC4" to "jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms" security property, and by removing them from the default enabled ciphersuites list. These cipher suites can be reactivated by removing "RC4" form "jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms" security property in the java.security file or by dynamically calling Security.setProperty(), and also readding them to the enabled ciphersuite list using the SSLSocket/SSLEngine.setEnabledCipherSuites() methods. You can also use the -Djava.security.properties command line option to override the jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms security property. For example:
    java -Djava.security.properties=my.java.security ...
where my.java.security is a file containing the property without RC4:
    jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms=SSLv3
Even with this option set from commandline, the RC4 based ciphersuites need to be re-added to the enabled ciphersuite list by using the SSLSocket/SSLEngine.setEnabledCipherSuites() methods. See 8076221.
Bug Fix: Support keystore type detection for JKS and PKCS12 keystores
Keystore Compatibility Mode: To aid interoperability, the Java keystore type JKS now supports keystore compatibility mode by default. This mode enables JKS keystores to access both JKS and PKCS12 file formats. To disable keystore compatibility mode set the Security property keystore.type.compat to the string value false. See 8062552.
Bug Fix: Deprecate Unsafe monitor methods in JDK 8u release
The methods monitorEnter, monitorExit and tryMonitorEnter on sun.misc.Unsafe are marked as deprecated in JDK 8u60 and will be removed in a future release. These methods are not used within the JDK itself and are very rarely used outside of the JDK. See 8069302.
Bug Fix: Extract JFR recording from the core file using SA
DumpJFR is a Serviceability Agent based tool that can be used to extract Java Flight Recorder(JFR) data from the core files and live Hotspot processes. DumpJFR can be used in one of the following methods:
Attach DumpJFR to a live process:

        java -cp $JAVA_HOME/lib/sa-jdi.jar sun.jvm.hotspot.tools.DumpJFR <pid>

Attach DumpJFR to a core file:

        java -cp $JAVA_HOME/lib/sa-jdi.jar sun.jvm.hotspot.tools.DumpJFR <java> <core>

DumpJFR tool dumps the JFR data to a file called recording.jfr in the current working folder. See 8065301 (not public).
Bug Fix: Local variables named 'enum' lead to spurious compiler crashes
The javac parser is incorrectly parsing local variables with name 'enum'; this results in spurious failures when a program containing such local variables is compiled with a 'source' flag corresponding to a release in which the enum construct is not available (such as '-source 1.4'). See 8069181.

Java Development Kit for ARM Release 8u60

This release includes Java Development Kit for ARM Release 8u60 (JDK 8u60 for ARM). For ARM device support information, see JDK for ARM Downloads page. For system requirements, installation instructions and troubleshooting tips, see Installation Instructions page.

Limitation: Native Memory Tracking support is limited in JDK for ARM. The java command line option XX:NativeMemoryTracking=detail is not supported for ARM targets (an error message is displayed to user). Instead, use the following option:
XX:NativeMemoryTracking=summary
Documentation Updates due to Nashorn Enhancements
JDK 8u60 includes new enhancements to Nashorn. As a result the following documentation changes should be read in conjunction with the current Nashorn documentation:

Addition: In the previous section, we mentioned that every JavaScript object when exposed to Java APIs implements the java.util.Map interface. This is true even for JavaScript arrays. However, this behavior is often not desired or expected when the Java code expects JSON-parsed objects. Java libraries that manipulate JSON-parsed objects usually expect arrays to expose the java.util.List interface instead. If you need to expose your JavaScript objects so that arrays are exposed as lists and not maps, you can use the Java.asJSONCompatible(obj) function, where obj is the root of your JSON object tree.
Correction: The caution mentioned at the end of Mapping Data Types section, is no longer applicable. Nashorn ensures that internal JavaScript strings are converted to java.lang.String when exposed externally.
Correction: The statement in the section Mapping Data Types, that mentions "For example, arrays must be explicitly converted,..." is not correct. Arrays are automatically converted to Java array types, such as java.util.List, java.util.Collection, java.util.Queue and java.util.Deque and so on.

Changes in Deployment Rule Set v1.2
JDK 8u60 implements Deployment Rule Set (DRS) 1.2, which includes the following changes:

Add "checksum" element as sub element of "id" which can allow unsigned jars to be identified by the SHA-256 checksum of the uncompressed form of a jar:
The "checksum" element will match only unsigned jars, and the given hash will be compared only against the uncompressed form of the jar.
The "checksum" element (similar to "certificate" element) has two arguments "hash" and "algorithm", however, unlike "certificate" element, the only supported value for "algorithm" is "SHA-256". Any other value provided will be ignored.
Allow "message" element to apply to all rule types, where previously it only applied to a block rule:
In a run rule, a message sub element will cause a message dialog to be displayed where without a run rule, the default behavior would be to show certificate or unsigned dialog. The message will be displayed in the message dialog.
In a default rule, the message will only be displayed if the default action is to block. In such a case the message will be included in the block dialog.
Echo "customer" blocks in the Java Console, trace files, and Java Usage Tracker records.
Previous to DRS 1.2, "customer" elements could be included (with any sub-elements) in the ruleset.xml file. This element and all its sub elements are ignored. In DRS 1.2, the elements are still functionally ignored. However:
When parsing the ruleset.xml file, all "customer" blocks will be echoed to the Java Console and deployment trace file (if Console and Tracing are enabled).
When using a rule, all "customer" records included within that rule will be added to the Java Usage Tracker (JUT) record (if JUT is enabled).

As a result of the above changes, the DTD for DRS 1.2 is as follows:

<!ELEMENT ruleset (rule*)>
<!ATTRIBUTE ruleset href CDATA #IMPLIED>
<!ATTRIBUTE ruleset version CDATA #REQUIRED>

<!ELEMENT rule (id, action)>

<!ELEMENT id (certificate?) (checksum?) >
<!ATTRIBUTE id title CDATA #IMPLIED>
<!ATTRIBUTE id location CDATA #IMPLIED>

<!ELEMENT certificate EMPTY>
<!ATTLIST certificate algorithm CDATA #IMPLIED>
<!ATTLIST certificate hash CDATA #REQUIRED>

<!ELEMENT checksum EMPTY>
<!ATTLIST checksum algorithm CDATA #IMPLIED>
<!ATTLIST checksum hash CDATA #REQUIRED>

<!ELEMENT action (message?)>
<!ATTRIBUTE permission (run | block | default) #REQUIRED>
<!ATTRIBUTE version CDATA #IMPLIED>
<!ATTRIBUTE force (true|false) "false">

<!ELEMENT message (#PCDATA)>
<!ATTLIST message locale CDATA #IMPLIED>

Java Expiration Date

The expiration date for 8u60 is October 20, 2015. Java expires whenever a new release with security vulnerability fixes becomes available. For systems unable to reach the Oracle Servers, a secondary mechanism expires this JRE (version 8u60) on November 20, 2015. After either condition is met (new release becoming available or expiration date reached), Java will provide additional warnings and reminders to users to update to the newer version.

Shelling perl in the Makefile can be problematic since pbulk-index may
invoke the Makefile prior to having the perl dependency installed.

Instead, gather ldopts during configure and pass them to libsvn_swig_perl
in order to build with the necessary ldflags.
