  pkgsrc/net/ntp4: Makefile PLIST distinfo

  Log Message:
  Update ntp4 package to 4.2.8p2.

  NTP 4.2.8p2 (Harlan Stenn <stenn@ntp.org>, 2015/04/xx)

Focus: Security and Bug fixes, enhancements.

  Severity: MEDIUM

In addition to bug fixes and enhancements, this release fixes the
following medium-severity vulnerabilities involving private key
  authentication:

  * [Sec 2779] ntpd accepts unauthenticated packets with symmetric key crypto.

      References: Sec 2779 / CVE-2015-1798 / VU#374268
Affects: All NTP4 releases starting with ntp-4.2.5p99 up to but not
including ntp-4.2.8p2 where the installation uses symmetric keys
  to authenticate remote associations.
      CVSS: (AV:A/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P) Base Score: 5.4
      Date Resolved: Stable (4.2.8p2) 07 Apr 2015
Summary: When ntpd is configured to use a symmetric key to authenticate
a remote NTP server/peer, it checks if the NTP message
authentication code (MAC) in received packets is valid, but not if
there actually is any MAC included. Packets without a MAC are
accepted as if they had a valid MAC. This allows a MITM attacker to
send false packets that are accepted by the client/peer without
having to know the symmetric key. The attacker needs to know the
transmit timestamp of the client to match it in the forged reply
and the false reply needs to reach the client before the genuine
reply from the server. The attacker doesn't necessarily need to be
relaying the packets between the client and the server.

Authentication using autokey doesn't have this problem as there is
a check that requires the key ID to be larger than NTP_MAXKEY,
which fails for packets without a MAC.
      Mitigation:
Upgrade to 4.2.8p2, or later, from the NTP Project Download Page
or the NTP Public Services Project Download Page
Configure ntpd with enough time sources and monitor it properly.
Credit: This issue was discovered by Miroslav Lichvar, of Red Hat.

  * [Sec 2781] Authentication doesn't protect symmetric associations against
    DoS attacks.

      References: Sec 2781 / CVE-2015-1799 / VU#374268
Affects: All NTP releases starting with at least xntp3.3wy up to but
not including ntp-4.2.8p2 where the installation uses symmetric
  key authentication.
      CVSS: (AV:A/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P) Base Score: 5.4
Note: the CVSS base Score for this issue could be 4.3 or lower, and
it could be higher than 5.4.
      Date Resolved: Stable (4.2.8p2) 07 Apr 2015
Summary: An attacker knowing that NTP hosts A and B are peering with
each other (symmetric association) can send a packet to host A
with source address of B which will set the NTP state variables
on A to the values sent by the attacker. Host A will then send
on its next poll to B a packet with originate timestamp that
doesn't match the transmit timestamp of B and the packet will
be dropped. If the attacker does this periodically for both
hosts, they won't be able to synchronize to each other. This is
a known denial-of-service attack, described at
  https://www.eecis.udel.edu/~mills/onwire.html .

According to the document the NTP authentication is supposed to
protect symmetric associations against this attack, but that
doesn't seem to be the case. The state variables are updated even
when authentication fails and the peers are sending packets with
originate timestamps that don't match the transmit timestamps on
  the receiving side.

This seems to be a very old problem, dating back to at least
  xntp3.3wy. It's also in the NTPv3 (RFC 1305) and NTPv4 (RFC 5905)
specifications, so other NTP implementations with support for
symmetric associations and authentication may be vulnerable too.
An update to the NTP RFC to correct this error is in-process.
      Mitigation:
Upgrade to 4.2.8p2, or later, from the NTP Project Download Page
or the NTP Public Services Project Download Page
Note that for users of autokey, this specific style of MITM attack
is simply a long-known potential problem.
Configure ntpd with appropriate time sources and monitor ntpd.
Alert your staff if problems are detected.
Credit: This issue was discovered by Miroslav Lichvar, of Red Hat.

  * New script: update-leap
The update-leap script will verify and if necessary, update the
  leap-second definition file.
It requires the following commands in order to work:

  wget logger tr sed shasum

Some may choose to run this from cron.  It needs more portability testing.

Add a new ulimit modifier for cputime. Support raising limits for
package creation.

There are very few things in pkgsrc that needs more than one hour per
process on decently fast hardware, so setting that as (soft) limit for
bulk builds avoids the infinite loops seen in some other packages. There
are a few select exceptions, i.e. flightgear-data needs more than one
hour for pkg_create when using xz. This flag allows selectively giving
those places more time without wasting resources in the broken cases.

to develop a better transition strategy for affected sites:
  - OU = Equifax Secure Certificate Authority
* The following CA certificate was removed:
  - CN = e-Guven Kok Elektronik Sertifika Hizmet Saglayicisi
* The following intermediate CA certificate has been added as
actively distrusted because it was mis-used to issue certificates
for domain names the holder did not own or control:
  - CN=MCSHOLDING TEST, O=MCSHOLDING, C=EG
* The version number of the updated root CA list has been set
  to 2.4

There are quite a lot of changes to this package. They are spread across
eight (8) wiki pages here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Release_Notes.
For pkgsrc changes, some patches were removed which were integrated
upstream or don't exist in source anymore. PKG_OPTIONS framework was added
to enable the user to built with gtk{2,3}, jack, alsa, NLS, ladspa, and
debug options. gtk3, jack, and alsa options need work and aren't supported
currently. This package uses a cc-by-v3.0-license which needs to be
imported sometime too. Using portaudio-devel from pkgsrc is disabled, due
to requiring the Pa_GetStreamHostApiType() function which is not present in
our stable version. The in-tree portaudio is used instead. Nyquist support
is not building as well at the moment along with the portsmf midi support.
Package adds many additional dependencies like lv2, lilv, libogg, twolame,
libsbsms, libsndfile, and more. Enjoy.

Updated devel/cgdb to 0.6.8

(wiz)

2015-04-20 07:35:00 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 0.6.8, provided by Kamil Rytarowski in wip.

cgdb-0.6.8 (11/13/2014)

  * Fix issue #40, the map commands were adding additional new lines
to the mappings. For instance, 'imap a b' in the ~/.cgdb/cgdbrc
file would cause a to map to 'b<cr>' instead of just 'b'.

  * Added feature from issue #29, added 'until' command to CGDB.

  * Updated autotools configuration files to satisfy warnings and
recommendations produced by autotools when run.

  * Fix issue #49, a gcc compiler warning.

  * Fixed a hang consuming 100% CPU usage on OS X Mavericks (github #48).

  * Fixed a hang when quitting cgdb while inferior is running
(github #1 and #5 and #46). This was believed to be fixed in the last
release but I've finally reproduced the issue and fixed it for good.

cgdb-0.6.7 (01/14/2013)

  * Changed documentation license from GFDL to GPL (github #6).

  * Fixed a hang on MacOS when quitting cgdb while inferior is running
    (github #1 and #5).

  * Fixed a crash when pressing 'n' in source window (github #5).

  * Fixed a bug opening files (and toggling breakpoints in files) with
special characters (e.g. space) in their names.

cgdb-0.6.6 (09/06/2011)

  * Fixed a compile error on Cygwin 1.7 (signature for path conversion
    functions changed).

  * Fixed a segfault on 64-bit systems in rline.c due to a missing
prototype of cgdb_malloc. Thanks to Pietro Cerutti for reporting
    and diagnosing this one!

  * Fixed a bug in the file dialog. When searching for a file,
and you hit enter to select it, CGDB would sometimes skip to
the next file that matches and open that file instead.

  * CGDB should now build out of the box on Cygwin again.
CGDB used to only support building against curses.h. Now
it also supports building against ncurses/curses.h.

  * No longer set the prompt to (gdb) on startup.

Import py34-service_identity-14.0.0 as security/py-service_identity.

service_identity aspires to give you all the tools you need for

2015-04-20 07:28:58 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Import py34-characteristic-14.3.0 as devel/py-characteristic.

characteristic is an MIT-licensed Python package with class decorators
that ease the chores of implementing the most common attribute-related
object protocols.

You just specify the attributes to work with and characteristic
gives you any or all of:

* a nice human-readable __repr__,
* a complete set of comparison methods,
* immutability for attributes,
* and a kwargs-based initializer (that cooperates with your existing
one and optionally even checks the types of the arguments)

without writing dull boilerplate code again and again.

This gives you the power to use actual classes with actual types
in your code instead of confusing tuples or confusingly behaving
namedtuples.

So put down that type-less data structures and welcome some class
into your life!

protocol is often referred to as IDNA2008 and can produce different
results from the earlier standard from 2003.

The library is also intended to act as a suitable drop-in replacement
for the encodings.idna module that comes with the Python standard

(rodent)

2015-04-19 21:27:59 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Import py27-isodate-0.5.1 as time/py-isodate.

This module implements ISO 8601 date, time and duration parsing. The
implementation follows ISO8601:2004 standard, and implements only date/time
representations mentioned in the standard. If something is not mentioned there,
then it is treated as non existent, and not as an allowed option.

For instance, ISO8601:2004 never mentions 2 digit years. So, it is not intended
by this module to support 2 digit years. (while it may still be valid as ISO
date, because it is not explicitly forbidden.) Another example is, when no time
zone information is given for a time, then it should be interpreted as local
time, and not UTC.

As this module maps ISO 8601 dates/times to standard Python data types, like
date, time, datetime and timedelta, it is not possible to convert all possible
ISO 8601 dates/times. For instance, dates before 0001-01-01 are not allowed by
the Python date and datetime classes. Additionally fractional seconds are
limited to microseconds. That means if the parser finds for instance nanoseconds
it will round it to microseconds.

Update to 0.8.0:

* Release 0.8.0 (15-Apr-2015)

** UnauthenticatedTub is gone

As announced in the previous release, UnauthenticatedTub has been removed.
All Tubs are fully authenticated now.

** Security Improvements

Foolscap now generates better TLS certificates, with 2048-bit RSA keys and
SHA256 digests. Previous versions used OpenSSL's defaults, which typically
meant 1024-bit MD5.

To benefit from the new certificates, you must regenerate your Tubs, which
means creating new FURLs (with new TubIDs). Previously-created Tubs will
continue to work normally: only new Tubs will be different.

** Packaging/Dependency Changes

setup.py now requires setuptools

Foolscap now requires pyOpenSSL unconditionally, because all Tubs are
authenticated.

We now recommend "pip install ." to install Foolscap and all its
dependencies, instead of "python setup.py install". See #231 for details.

libopenmpt 0.2-beta11 (2015-04-18)

*  openmpt_stream_seek_func() now gets called with
    OPENMPT_STREAM_SEEK_SET, OPENMPT_STREAM_SEEK_CUR and
OPENMPT_STREAM_SEEK_END whence parameter instead of SEEK_SET,
    SEEK_CUR and SEEK_END. These are defined to 0, 1 and 2 respectively
which corresponds to the definition in all common C libraries.
If your C library uses different constants, this theoretically
breaks binary compatibility. The old libopenmpt code, however,
never actually called the seek funtion, thus, there will be no
    problem in practice.
*  openmpt123: When both, SDL1.2 and PortAudio, are available,
SDL is now the preferred backend because SDL is more widespread
and better tested on all kinds of different platforms, and in
generel, SDL is just more reliable.
*  [Bug] libopenmpt now also compiles with GCC 4.3.
*  libopenmpt now supports PLM (Disorder Tracker 2) files.
*  Various playback improvements and fixes for IT, S3M, XM, MOD,
    PTM and 669 files.

Update to 1.70b:

--------------
Version 1.70b:
--------------

  - Modified resumption code to reuse the original timeout value when resuming
a session if -t is not given. This prevents timeout creep in continuous
    fuzzing.

  - Added improved error messages for failed handshake when AFL_DEFER_FORKSRV
    is set.

  - Made a slight improvement to llvm_mode/Makefile based on feedback from
    Jakub Wilk.

  - Refreshed several bits of documentation.

  - Added a more prominent note about the MacOS X trade-offs to Makefile.

--------------
Version 1.69b:
--------------

  - Added support for deferred initialization in LLVM mode. Suggested by
    Richard Godbee.

--------------
Version 1.68b:
--------------

  - Fixed a minor PRNG glitch that would make the first seconds of a fuzzing
job deterministic. Thanks to Andreas Stieger.

  - Made tmp[] static in the LLVM runtime to keep Valgrind happy (this had
no impact on anything else). Spotted by Richard Godbee.

  - Clarified the footnote in README.

--------------
Version 1.67b:
--------------

  - Made one more correction to llvm_mode Makefile, spotted by Jakub Wilk.

--------------
Version 1.66b:
--------------

  - Added CC / CXX support to llvm_mode Makefile. Requested by Charlie Eriksen.

  - Fixed 'make clean' with gmake. Suggested by Oliver Schneider.

  - Fixed 'make -j n clean all'. Suggested by Oliver Schneider.

  - Removed build date and time from banners to give people deterministic
    builds. Requested by Jakub Wilk.

--------------
Version 1.65b:

Updated games/lgogdownloader to 2.21

(wiz)

2015-04-19 18:08:00 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 2.21:
- Make sure that file is regular file when getting local hash
- Fixed crash in Downloader::checkStatus
- Ignore extras without filename
These are usually extras that haven't been released yet so they
  can't be downloaded anyway
- Changed jsoncpp include path from <jsoncpp/json/json.h> to
  <json/json.h>
- Added support for saving serial keys
Serials are saved to "serials.txt" when using --save-serials with
--download and listed in the output when used with --list-details
- Show more info on HTTP error in API::getResponse when using debug
  build
- Added option to skip fast platform detection
--no-platform-detection skips the initial fast platform detection
and detects the supported platforms from game details which is
  slower but more accurate.
Useful in case platform identifier is missing for some games in
  the game shelf.
- Fixed downloader skipping some files because of uncleared API
  error state
- Show url in http error messages
