- the initgroups function needs to be able to do name to gid translations,
  so do it before the chroot, otherwise we lose /etc/nsswitch.conf and
  /etc/group
- run res_init() so that we prime and initialize the resolver before the
  chroot, since our chroot lacks /etc/{{nsswitch,resolve}.conf,hosts}
  this is not portable behavior, but it is a lot better than populating

Fix dependency handling of UUDECODE_FILES (e.g. libexec/ld.aout_so on i386).

The .uue rule is defined to make "foo.xxx.uue" -> "foo.xxx".  When
UUDECODE_FILES_RENAME_* is also applied, the .uue rule tries to make "foo",
not "foo.xxx".  This results in that "foo.xxx" is never made and always
"foo.xxx.uue" -> "foo" is made.

Define dependency for intermediate files.

Avoid unnecessary rebuild and reinstall.  (Consume 70K in obj directory.)

Import Luhn check digit calculation library and utility to othersrc.
Luhn check digits are used in many things, including credit card
numbers, IMEI numbers, National Provider Identifier numbers in US and
Canadian Social Insurance Numbers, The Luhn check digits can be used
to determine quickly if a number has been changed in transcribing, for
example.

This directory contains libluhn(3) and luhn(1), a small utility based
on the library, which calculates check digits on the command line.

More information can be found on Luhn digits in:

Improve the output of gcc when a subprogram gets a signal. When OOMing

signal 9 and not a generic message is never clear and causes people to
file PRs unnecessarily.

I applied this to gcc 4.5 ages ago, but this copy has been sitting

Extract a base list of .h files from the set lists instead of looking

- remove the expand inline function, we don't need it.
- make allow = 1, deny = 0 to avoid confusion
- use memset properly
- merge ctl duplicated code
- add numeric conditional evaluator for unary and binary
- fix parsing of numeric registers to stop on non alnum

With those fixes, the man page for top(1) works.

Fix a bug that the NVRAM lock timeout occured on sparc64 onboard bge.
Tested by martin.
- Don't acquire NVRAM lock if no EEPROM(or NVRAM?).
- Reset NVRAM before bge_reset(). It's required to acquire NVRAM lock in
  bge_reset().

If there are no devices attached to the mux and software does
WSxxxIO_SETVERSION, the change doesn't actually get applied to the event
source as wsmux hands off processing of these ioctls to attached devices.
Handle these ioctls directly from the mux device instead of passing them
through, to correct an issue that prevented keyboards and mice from working
in X if there were zero devices attached when the X server started.
If WSKBDIO_GTYPE succeeds and returns type=0, it is a mux with no keyboard
attached. In this case, assume USB.
