2012-10-15 18:57:29 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Import Harminv 1.3.1 as math/harminv.
Packaged for pkgsrc-WIP by Kamel Derouiche.

Harminv is a free program (and accompanying library) to solve
the problem of harmonic inversion, given a discrete-time,
finite-length signal that consists of a sum of finitely-many
sinusoids (possibly exponentially decaying) in a given bandwidth,
it determines the frequencies, decay constants, amplitudes,
and phases of those sinusoids.

2012-10-15 15:29:11 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

xlock -mode dclock would segfault on OSes with sizeof(time_t)>sizeof(long);
this includes NetBSD-6 on 32bit systems.

As a result, xlock -mode random (the default) would eventually unlock
the screen, without the user being aware of this (as she/he's can be
presumed to have left the monitor).

The reason was that some variables in dclock.c were declared long, but
contain essentially time_t values. In on case, a pointer to such a
variable was casted to (struct time_t *) and passed to localtime(),
and the resulting pointer is not checked for error before being used.

The variables have been changed to time_t and the typecast has been
removed.

Speed up the algorithm to determine the files left to check.

This change modifies the algorithm used to keep track of the files that
have not yet been checksummed to use a simple loop instead of shell pattern
matching.

For packages with few distinfo entries, either way yields the same result
as the list of files to check is very short.  But for those packages with
hundreds of distinfo entries (vim, I'm looking at you), the difference is
huge.  In my old macppc machine, the checksum of vim used to take around
40 minutes and now it takes ~35 seconds.  The difference is also clearly
visible in my faster amd64 machine (although I haven't bothered to time it).

Updated devel/global to 6.2.4

(wiz)

2012-10-12 13:31:58 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 6.2.4, using Matt Danielson's update to 6.2 from PR 45925.

Version 6.2.4 - May 30 2012

[BUG FIXED]
Gtags with the -f option brings segmentation fault. Now it works.
This bug exists only in GLOBAL-6.2.3.

Version 6.2.3 - May 26 2012

[BUG FIXED]
o Built-in parser: When attribute specifier appeared immediately after the
  `struct', `union' or `enum' keyword, GLOBAL could not pick up tag name.
  Now it works correctly.

[CHANGES]
New facilities:
o gtags: --single-update option support addition of a file.
o global: New --single-update option.
o gtags.el: New custom variables:
  - gtags-ignore-case
  - gtags-auto-update.
o gtags.vim: New custom variables 'Gtags_Auto_Update' (default 0).

Version 6.2.2 - March 15 2012

[BUG FIXED]
o configure: The --disable-gtagscscope option didn't avoid building gtags-cscope
  completely. So, ./configure failed when there is no curses library.
  Now it avoids building gtags-cscope completely.
o htags: Imported a patch to fix htags on Windows Vista+ (tmpfile wants to create
  its file in the root directory, which is not writable by normal users).

Version 6.2.1 - February 24 2012

[CHANGES]
New facilities:
o gtags: New --accept-dotfiles option.
o configure: New --disable-gtagscscope option.
o gtags.el: Key mapping was changed to follow "Key binding conventions" of Emacs Lisp.
  - The prefix character "\C-c" for suggested key mapping became customizable.
    If you want to invoke 'gtags-find-tag by "\C-xt", please write your .emacs file
    like follows:

        [$HOME/.emacs]
        (setq gtags-suggested-key-mapping t)
        (setq gtags-prefix-key "\C-x")

[INCOMPATIBLE CHANGES]
o gtags.el: Key mapping was changed to follow "Key binding conventions" of Emacs Lisp.
  - Policy of key mapping was changed.
  [Old] If 'gtags-suggested-key-mapping' is false, any key mapping is not done.
  [New] If 'gtags-suggested-key-mapping' is false, almost key mapping is not done.
        But "\C-m" and "\C-t" in 'Gtags select mode' are always enabled.

[BUG FIXED]
global: The -L option with '-' didn't work. Now it works.
Built-in parser:
- Pick up symbols in expression in enumerator-list as "reference or other symbol".
- C/C++ parser couldn't handle typedef of the form of 'typedef enum tag_name TYPEDEF_NAME;'
  correctly. Now, it works.

Version 6.2 - January 21 2012

[CHANGES]
New facilities:
o gtags.el: Added support for TRAMP. Now gtags.el works almost transparently with TRAMP.
  Please send a bug report to the bug mailing list.
o gtags-cscope: Enables an environment variable EDITOR allow options.
o gtags-cscope: New -i option.
o gtags-cscope.vim: New custom variable GtagsCscope_Kepp_Alive.
o globash: Added long name options:
  use, show, first, last, next, prev:  --vi, --less, --emacs, --vim, --gozilla, --noedit
  mark: --list, --edit
  cookie: --list, --edit, --menu, --warp
o gtags: Add keywords introduced in ISO/IEC 9899:2011.
  _Alignas _Alignof _Atomic _Generic _Noreturn _Static_assert _Thread_local

[INCOMPATIBLE CHANGES]
o less-global: Quoting is required for the pattern which should be interpreted by the shell.

[BUG FIXED]
The icase_path config variable didn't affect the -c command with the -P option of global.
Now it works.

Version 6.1 - October 7 2011

[CHANGES]
New facility:
o Server side GLOBAL
  You can use some shell scripts instead of global, gtags and htags.
  By this facility, you need not install GLOBAL in your client machine.

  Client machine      Network        Server machine
  +--------------+                    +---------------+
  |gtags-client  |-------- SSH ------>|    gtags      |-->GTAGS,GRTAGS,GPATH

security/mit-krb5: Fix build for gcc 4.7

Generated file didn't pass -Werror check on gcc4.7.  The problem is
well-known and already fixed on the current version of mit-krb5.  The
patch added here was taken from upstream.

No revbump necessary, won't change binary on systems that already built it.

- fix FreeBSD/Dragonfly properly
- update to newest version

Upstream changelog:

Xymon release 4.3.10 - released on Aug 6 2012
=============================================

Main features in this release is the addition of inode-checks
on all major platforms, and a series of enhancements to the
build procedure.

Also, building Xymon on most common platforms is now explicitly
described in the "install" document.

* Fix build problems with "errno"
* Fix build problems with OpenSSL in non-default locations
* Fix build problems with certain LDAP configurations
* Fix build problems with RRDtool on FreeBSD / OpenBSD
* Fix problem with ifstat data from Fedora in graphs
* "inode" check on FreeBSD, OpenBSD, OSX, Solaris, HP/UX, AIX
  in addition to existing support for Linux
* Document building and installing Xymon on common platforms
  (Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, Solaris)
* Enhance xymoncfg so it can be used to import Xymon configuration
  settings into shell-scripts.

Xymon release 4.3.9 - released on Jul 24 2012
=============================================

This release is mainly a bug-fix release.

* Fix crash when XYMSRV is undefined but XYMSERVERS is
* Fix error in calculating combo-status messages with
  forward references
* Fix error in disable-until-TIME or disable-until-OK code
* Fix documentation of DURATION in alerts.cfg / xymond_alert so
  it is consistenly listed as being in "minutes".
* Permit explicit use of ">" and ">=" in alerts.cfg
* Permit building without the RRDtool libraries, e.g. for
  a network-tester build, but with trend-graphing disabled.
* Full compiler-warning cleanup
* Various configuration/build-script issues fixed.

Xymon release 4.3.8 - released on Jul 15 2012
=============================================

This release is mainly a bug-fix release.

Bugfixes
* Workaround for DNS timeout handling, now fixed at approximately 25
  seconds.
* "hostinfo" command for xymond documented
* confreport only shows processes that are monitored
* analysis.cfg parsing of COLOR for UP rules was broken
* RRD handlers no longer crash after receiving 1 billion updates
* Using .netrc for authentication could crash xymonnet
* "directory" includes would report the wrong filename for missing
  directories.
* useradm CGI would invoke htpassword twice
* "include" and "directory" now ignores trailing whitespace
* SSLv2 support disabled if SSL-library does not support it
* Minor bugfixes and cleanups of compiler warnings.

Enhancements
* Service status on info page now links to the detailed status page.
* Add RRDGRAPHOPTS setting to permit global user-specified RRD options,
  e.g. for font to showgraph CGI
* Add check for the size of public keys used in SSL certificates
  (enabled via --sslkeysize=N option for xymonnet)
* Optionally disable the display of SSL ciphers in the sslcert status
  (the --no-cipherlist option for xymonnet)
* Improved build-scripts works on newer systems with libraries in
  new and surprising places
* Reduce xymonnet memory usage and runtime for ping tests when there
  are multiple hosts.cfg entries with the same IP-address.
* Add code for inode-monitoring on Linux. Does not currently work on
  any other client platform.
* Added the ability to disable tests until a specific time, instead of
  for some interval. Disabling a test also now computes the expire time
  for the disable to happen at the next closest minute.

editors/mg: Mask -Werror

mg adds the -Werror flag after CFLAGS, so any suppressed warning gets
reenabled.  Starting with gcc4.6, unused-but-set-variable warnings are
issued which breaks the build.  Passing Wno-unused-but-set-variable by
the package makefile (as a function of compiler version) doesn't work.
The easiest solution is just to disable -Werror.  In this case through
the makefile rather than updating a patch.

(wen)

2012-10-11 12:22:27 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 0.9.1

Upstream changes:
Release 0.9.1 (2012-06-17)
==========================

* docutils/setup.py

  - Fix [ 3527842 ]. Under Python3, converted tests and tools were
    installed in the PYTHONPATH. Converted tests are now
    stored in ``test3/``, tools no longer need conversion.

    If you installed one of Docutils versions 0.7 ... 0.9 with
    ``setup.py install`` under Python3, remove the spurious
    ``test/`` and ``tools/`` directories in the site library root.

* docutils/test/

  - Make tests independent from the location of the ``test/`` directory.
  - Use converted sources (from the ``build/`` directory) for tests under
    Python3.

* docutils/tools/

  - Make tools compatible with both, Python 2 and 3 without 2to3-conversion.

* docutils/io.py

  - Fix writing binary data to sys.stdout under Python3 (allows
    ``rst2odt.py`` to be used with output redirection).

* docutils/parsers/rst/directives/misc.py

  - Fix [ 3525847 ]. Catch and report UnicodeEncodeError with
    ``locale == C`` and 8-bit char in path argument of `include` directive.

* docutils/test/alltests.py

  - class `Tee`: catch UnicodeError when writing to "ascii" stream or
    file under Python3.
