Update socat to 1.7.1.1. Add license.

ChangeLog:

V 1.7.1.1:

corrections:
corrected the "fixed possible SIGSEGV" fix because SIGSEGV still might
occur under those conditions. Thanks to Toni Mattila for first
reporting this problem.

ftruncate64 cut its argument to 32 bits on systems with 32 bit long type

socat crashed on systems without setenv() (esp. SunOS up to Solaris 9);
thanks to Todd Stansell for reporting this bug

with unidirectional EXEC and SYSTEM a close() operation was performed
on a random number which could result in hanging e.a.

fixed a compile problem caused by size_t/socklen_t mismatch on 64bit
systems

docu mentioned option so-bindtodev but correct name is so-bindtodevice.
Thanks to Jim Zimmerman for reporting.

docu changes:
added environment variables example to doc/socat-multicast.html

V 1.7.1.0:

new features:
address options shut-none, shut-down, and shut-close allow to control
socat's half close behaviour

with address option shut-null socat sends an empty packet to the peer
to indicate EOF

option null-eof changes the behaviour of sockets that receive an empty
packet to see EOF instead of ignoring it

introduced option names substuser-early and su-e, currently equivalent
to option substuser (thanks to Mike Perry for providing the patch)

corrections:
fixed some typos and improved some comments

V 1.7.0.1:

corrections:
fixed possible SIGSEGV in listening addresses when a new connection was
reset by peer before the socket addresses could be retrieved. Thanks to
Mike Perry for sending a patch.

fixed a bug, introduced with version 1.7.0.0, that let client
connections with option connect-timeout fail when the connections
succeeded. Thanks to Bruno De Fraine for reporting this bug.

option end-close "did not apply" to addresses PTY, SOCKET-CONNECT,
and most UNIX-* and ABSTRACT-*

half close of EXEC and SYSTEM addresses did not work for pipes and
sometimes socketpair

help displayed for some option a wrong type

under some circumstances shutdown was called multiple times for the
same fd

Update zile to 2.3.9. Update homepage and master_sites. Add license.

Changes between 2.2.50 and 2.3.9:

Release 2.3.9

This release fixes a build problem on OSF/1.

Release 2.3.8

This release fixes a crash in find-file-alternate, and another
potential crash.

Release 2.3.7

This release fixes a crash in query-replace and a highlighting bug,
both introduced in 2.3.5. Some code cleanup was done. A bug in the
build system that caused help2man to be required to build Zile was
removed.

Release 2.3.6:

This release fixes a build-system bug that caused Lua to be required
to build the release.

Release 2.3.5:

This release fixes a bug in write-file, where the undo state was not
properly updated, resulting in dirty states being marked clean. A
crash bug in paragraph filling was fixed, and some other minor bugs.
The --funcall option was reintroduced for backwards compatibility with
Zile 2.2. The build system was made more portable. Some code cleanup
was done.

Release 2.3.4:

This release fixes yet another bug in filename completion, and a
potential crash that the bug exposed. Some minor code cleanup was
performed.

Release 2.3.3:

This release fixes two more bugs in filename completion introduced in
2.3.1. Users of 2.3.1 and 2.3.2 should upgrade. Some minor code
cleanup was also performed.

Release 2.3.2:

This release fixes a bug in filename completion introduced in the
previous release that had serious results, and some minor problems in
the build system, and improves the installation instructions. help2man
is now needed to build Zile (and has been since 2.3.1). I'm sorry I
described DejaGnu as "flaky" in my previous release announcement; the
faults I encountered were those of the underlying expect/Tcl
combination, and not DejaGnu's.

Release 2.3.1:

This release contains a rewrite of the test suite which drives Zile
directly, as DejaGnu proved to be insufficiently portable, and too
flaky. Two commands have been added to make it possible to write all
the tests in Lisp, namely execute-kbd-macro and insert-char. The
--script flag is now --load, which is what it really does. Various
commands have been made to work non-interactively. Duplication has
been reduced by generating much of the documentation from the code.
The info manual, which was not particularly useful and only duplicated
information available elsewhere, has been removed. Other small fixes
and improvements have been made.

Release 2.3.0:

This release continues the code cleanup and portability fixes started
in 2.2.60. gnulib is now used extensively, and 2,000 lines of code, or
about 20% of the code base, has been removed by refactoring,
simplification, and use of gnulib. The new minor version number
reflects the magnitude of the change.

To try to limit the number of bugs introduced as a result, and to aid
future maintenance, a DejaGnu test suite has been added, which tests
almost all the interactive commands.

Many small bugs have been fixed, including cases where Zile did not
behave like Emacs; some small limitations of Zile with respect to
Emacs have been removed.

Users are for the most part encouraged to upgrade, as this release is
believed to be stable; however, cautious users may want to wait for
further 2.3.x releases, or for a suitable length of time to elapse.

Release 2.2.61:

This release uses gnulib for regex, getopt, vasprintf, and various
other features, rather than previous ad hoc solutions, to improve
portability.

Release 2.2.60:

This release attempts to improve portability by using gnulib for
various non-standard features instead of idiosyncratic code and making
various other fixes. Thanks to Nelson Beebe for reporting many build
problems on a wide range of platforms; unfortunately I've not been
able to establish how many of them this release fixes. A crash and
related bug on attempting to kill when mark and point are the same
have been fixed. Some fatal error messages have been improved.

Release 2.2.59:

This release fixes various problems with release 2.2.58, including
shipping the wrong source code (oops), and automates the GNU release
process so that errors of this sort should no longer happen. The build
system was tidied a little.

Release 2.2.58:

This release makes Zile's transition to being a GNU program. Note the
new web site, distribution URL and support addresses. This release
also fixes the display of errors that occur during startup.

Release 2.2.57:

This release changes the code to meet GNU coding standards. It's not
recommended for users because there are no (intended!) functional
changes whatsoever, and it's just possible that new bugs have been
introduced.

Release 2.2.56:

This release fixes a bug that prevented top-bit-set characters being
bindable to commands.

Release 2.2.55:

This release allows Zile to produce core dumps when it crashes,
handles SIGBUS, and fixes a crash caused by trying to bind a command
to the empty string.

          it is now possible to select "top 5 commenters" while
          prefetching all their comments
        - New resultsed method count_rs, returns a ::ResultSetColumn

        - SQL::Translator::Parser::DBIx::Class now attaches tables to the
          central schema object in relationship dependency order
        - Fixed regression in set_column() preventing sourceless object

[THINGS THAT MAY BREAK YOUR CODE]
For a while, Mech used HTTP::Response::Encoding to try to suss out
the proper encoding of the page it receives.  Now, it lets
LWP::UserAgent do the work, and no longer requires
HTTP::Response::Encoding.

[ENHANCEMENTS]
Added a new dump_headers() method to dump the HTTP response headers.

Added --headers flag to mech-dump to dump the HTTP response headers.

[FIXES]
Now requires LWP version 5.829 because HTTP::Response has memory
cycle bugs.

New test server now randomizes the port it runs on.

t/cookies.t should not hang on Windows any more.

META.yml has been updated so the search.cpan.org links should be
correct.

Passing no_proxy would make LWP::UserAgent barf.  Thanks to Mike
Schilli for the fix.

Cookies test would fail under Windows.  Fixed, thanks to many people
reporting it.

[ENHANCEMENTS]
$mech->submit_form() now can specify the form by ID using the form_id
parameter.

[DOCUMENTATION]
The docs used to say that ->stack_depth(0) was an infinite stack
size.  This is wrong.  Zero will tell Mech not to keep any history.

2009-07-18 22:28:28 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.0.13. From the changelog:

* omindex:
  + If the filter program needed for a file format isn't installed, report this
    explicitly when skipping subsequent files with the extension instead of
    misleadingly reporting "Unknown extension".
  + Make -s actually work as a short-form for --stemmer (as documented by
    "omindex --help" and "man omindex").
  + Drop the copyright info from the output of --version as it's perennially
    out of date and we don't report it for any other Xapian programs.
* scriptindex:
  + Add new "valuenumeric" action to add a document value using
    Xapian::sortable_serialise() to allow numeric sorting (ticket#260).

(schmonz)

2009-07-18 22:28:00 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.0.13. From the changelog:

API:
* Xapian::Document no longer ever stores empty values explicitly.  This
  wasn't intentional behaviour, and how this case was handled wasn't
  documented.  The amended behaviour is consistent with how user metadata
  is handled.  This change isn't observable using Document::get_value(),
  but can be noticed when iterating with Document::values_begin(), using
  Document::values_count(), or trying to delete the value with
  Document::remove_value().

matcher:
* If a query contains a MatchAll subquery, check for it before checking the
  other terms so that the loop which checks how many terms match can exit
  early if they all match.
* When an OR or ANY_MAYBE decayed to an AND, we were carefully swapping the
  children for maximum efficiency, but the condition was reversed so we were
  in fact making things worse.  This was noticed because it was resulting in
  the same query running faster when more results were asked for!
* Only build the termname to termfreq and weight map for the first subdatabase
  instead of rebuilding it for each one.  Also don't copy this map to return
  it.  This should speed up searches a little, especially those over multiple
  databases.
* If a submatcher fails but ErrorHandler tells us to continue without it, we
  just use a NULL pointer to stand in rather than allocating a special dummy
  place-holder object.
* Remove AndPostList, in favour of MultiAndPostList.  AndPostList was only used
  as a decay product (by AndMaybePostList and OrPostList), and doesn't appear
  to be any faster.  Removing it reduces CPU cache pressure, and is less code
  to maintain.
* Call check() instead of skip_to() on the optional branch of AND_MAYBE.

flint backend:
* Fix a bug in TermIterator::skip_to() over metadata keys.

remote backend:
* Fix xapian-tcpsrv --interface option to work on MacOS X (ticket#373).
* Fix typo which caused us to return the docid instead of the maximum weight
  a document from a remote match could return!  This could have led to wrong
  results when searching multiple databases with the remote backend, but
  probably usually didn't matter as with BM25 the weights are generally small
  (often all < 1) while docids are inevitably >= 1.

inmemory backend:
* The inmemory backend doesn't support iterating over metadata keys.  Trying
  to do so used to give an empty iteration, but has now been fixed to throw
  UnimplementedError (and this limitation has now been documented).

documentation:
* INSTALL: We no longer regularly test build with GCC 2.95.4 and we're raising
  the minimum GCC version required to 3.1 for Xapian 1.1.x.
* Document what passing maxitems=0 to Enquire::get_mset() does.
* docs/queryparser.html: Add examples of using a prefix on a phrase or
  subexpression.
* Correct doxygen comments for user metadata functions:
  Database::get_metadata() throw UnimplementedError but
  WritableDatabase::set_metadata() can.
* Document that Database::metadata_keys_begin() returns an end iterator if the
  backend doesn't support metadata.
* HACKING: Update the list of Debian/Ubuntu packages needed for a development
  environment.

  * Add: return codes for each error case (closes issue #22)
  * Fix: return code is always 0 (closes issue #20)
  * Change: --hosts output now matches cclive output

Version 2.2.0
(June 14, 2009)

FOREWORD
--------

This release is a major overhaul aimed to fix the previous design flaws
and clean up the codebase. Note that 2.2.0 breaks compatibility with
the earlier versions of clive.

Most users will not notice much differences after upgrading to 2.2.0
but those users who have used clive for anything more than "clive URL"
should read the changes carefully. The summary of changes section
includes more detailed changes that is recommended reading for all
users and maintainers.

2.2.0 changes the license from ISC to GPLv3. The license was last
changed in 2.1.0 to ISC but has now been reverted back to GPLv3 after
some further consideration.

Config::Tiny has been replaced with Getopt::ArgvFile. The latter had
some advantages over Config::Tiny that lead to the switch. For example,
instead of trying to memorize the (often confusing) config variable
names, users can now use command line options in the config file.

This also means that everytime a new feature is added to the program,
we are no longer required to modify the code responsible for parsing
the config file. Using Getopt::ArgvFile also required adding only one
line of code to the project whereas Config::Tiny required several.

cache no longer reads by default. This means that --cache-read option
must be invoked for clive to read previously stored video records
from the cache. The change was made after seeing how most users found
the reading from cache too confusing and frequently reported expired
link errors such as HTTP 403 as bugs even though the behaviour was
documented in the manual page. DAERTM?

--emit-csv now outputs very few details about the videos. Only those
fields that are known to be any use are printed out.

2.2.0 also removes a number of less used features that have lingered
in the project since the 1.x. Most of these features were never
requested and have only been burdening the program codebase since
their introduction.

Part time hackers and/or developers will notice that clive now follows
a new OO design -- as well as Perl5 allows it. While there are still
some considerations regarding the design and limitations that could not
quite be ported from C++ used in cclive, WYSIWYG.

Package/port maintainers will want to read the README file. The previously
used GNU Makefile is no longer used and clive installation now depends on
ExtUtils::MakeMaker instead.

      list have the same name (closes #2778246).

    Prefs:
    * Add an option to set an additional plugin lookup path.

      menu.
    * Add an option to allow appending the toolbar to the main menu bar
      to save some vertical space.

      project name in the Documents sidebar for parent items (closes #2723679).
    * Make the file open dialog more compact.
    * Ellipsize tab labels and some status messages for very long
      filenames (closes #2777348).

    * Make build commands on Windows run synchronously to avoid problems
      with reading build commands' output.

    Plugins:
    * HTMLchars: Extend plugin by bulk replace and replace on
      input for special characters to their HTML entities.
    * Splitwindow: Add keybindings for the split actions.

      sci_get_selection_contents() as replacement functions to provide
      an easier and cleaner API (initial patch by Frank).
    * Make GEANY_FILETYPES_NONE = 0, sort filetype IDs randomly (so we can
      append new filetypes without breaking the ABI); add
      filetypes_by_title sorted list to GeanyData.

    Documentation:
    * Describe how to build Geany using the Waf build system.

Geany 0.16 (February 15, 2009)

    Bug fixes:
    * Fix indenting for Tabs & Spaces mode when inserting snippets.
    * Fix snippets and smart indent using too much indentation when the
      line contains whitespace after non-whitespace characters (#2215044).
    * Fix segfault when showing Find in Files dialog when no documents are
      open (#2228544).
    * Fix not switching to 2nd last used document when the last used
      document has been closed (#1945162).

    General:
    * Group child tags by their parents in the symbol list for C-like
      filetypes, Python, Conf (thanks to Conrad Steenberg).
    * Use a tree for the Documents sidebar, grouped by path.

      filetype_extensions.conf and ignore.tags. These files are also
      reloaded automatically when saved.
    * Change configuration directory path to $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/geany
      (most often this is ~/.config/geany).
    * Allow to specify files on the command line and from remote instances
      to be URIs (local and with GIO also remote URIs).
    * Increase minimum required GTK version to 2.8.

    Prefs:
    * Add Project Indentation prefs, which override the Editor
      Preferences dialog options. For new projects, these default to
      the editor indent prefs.

      double-clicking on document notebook tabs (off by default).
    * Add a preference to invert all colours for syntax highlighting.
    * Add a hidden preference "allow_always_save" to make the Save buttons

    * Make Ctrl-click go to matching brace if there's no current word.
    * Make Shift+Mouse wheel scroll the editor view horizontally.
    * Make the 'Mark' button for Find highlight the results with rounded boxes
      instead of marking the whole line.
    * Add auto-closing of braces, brackets and quotes (Guillaume de Rorthais).
    * Support multiple %cursor% wildcards in Snippets (Thomas Martitz).

    Filetypes:
    * Add new filetypes Ada, CMake, Matlab, NSIS, Vala and YAML.
    * Update HTML character entities (thanks to Tyler D'Agosta).
    * Parse restructuredText sections in the order of first-used underline
      character, which can now be any punctuation character (as per the spec).
    * Remove GTK global tags, replace them with C (C99) tags. The GTK tags
      file is still available for download on the website.
    * Minor improvements for filetypes CSS, Fortran, FreeBasic, HTML, Tcl
      and Vala.

    * Add "editor-notify" to the plugin API.
    * Add new plugin symbol plugin_help() which is called by Geany when the
      plugin should show its documentation (if any, symbol is optional).

    Documentation:
    * Update Scintilla regular expression info for v1.77 (character
      classes, ASCII escaping, character sets containing square
      brackets peculiarities). Adapted from SciTE doc.
    * Complete 'Hello World' Plugin Howto.

    Internationalisation:
    * Updated translations: bg, ca, cs, de, en_GB, fr, hu, it, ja,
      pt_BR, sv, ru, tr, vi, zh_CN

2009-07-18 19:32:38 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 2.2.9:

Release notes for GNU indent version 2.2.9, Aug 2002

* Matthias <moh@itec.uni-klu.ac.at> and Eric Lloyd <ewlloyd@neta.com>
  Added support for -brf to place function opening brace after function
  declaration.

* Cristalle Azundris Sabon <cristalle@azundris.com>
  Added --preprocessor-indentation (ppi)  if set, will indent nested
  preprocessor-statements with n spaces per level.  Overrides -lps.

* D.Ingamells <indent@dingamells.fsnet.co.uk> Added option break-function-decl-args-end
  (bfde) to break the function arguments list before the closing bracket.
  -bdfa now causes a break after the opening bracket and before the first
  argument so that the first argument and subsequent argments are indented
  one indentation step instead of being aligned with the opening bracket.

Updated mail/gmime24 to 2.4.7

(wiz)

2009-07-18 19:27:08 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 2.4.7:

2009-04-27  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* README: Bumped version

* configure.in: Bumped version to 2.4.7

* build/vs2008/gmime.vcproj: Bumped version.

2009-04-25  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime/gmime-object.c (g_mime_object_set_disposition): Unref the
disposition after setting it on the GMimeObject, don't ref it
again. Oops.

* gmime/gmime-message.c (unblock_changed_event): Oops, this needs
to /unblock/ the event handler.

* gmime/gmime-header.c (g_mime_header_list_set_raw): Added back
just in case someone was foolish enough to use this API.
(g_mime_header_list_has_raw): Same.

2009-04-24  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime/gmime-parser.c (struct _GMimeParserPrivate): Added
message_headers_begin/end and changed the meaning of
headers_begin/end to be for the current MIME part rather than for
the current message itself.
(g_mime_parser_init): Init the boolean state variables before
calling parser_init() so that parser_init() can use them.
(parser_init): Only create a rawbuf if our stream isn't seekable
or isn't persistent. Initialize our new message_headers_begin/end.
(g_mime_parser_set_persist_stream): If our persist mode has
changed, malloc or free our rawbuf.
(raw_header_append): Don't append any data if rawbuf is NULL (this
means we're keeping track of offsets instead).
(parser_step_headers): Always update headers_begin/end since we
now always want to keep track of all header begin/end offsets.
(parser_step): Update our message_headers_begin/end state.
(parser_scan_message_part): Set the mime-part's raw header stream
on the message too.
(parser_construct_message): Same.
(parser_construct_leaf_part): Substream the input stream to get
our raw header stream to set on the mime-part's header-list.
(parser_construct_multipart): Same.

* gmime/gmime-header.c (struct _GMimeHeaderList): Instead of
having a string buffer holding the raw header block content,
instead keep a stream. This not only makes it easy for us to keep
track of what the header offsets on disk are should the developer
want to know, but it also means we don't necessarily have to use
duplicate the header block to memory.
(g_mime_header_list_set_stream): New function that replaces the
old g_mime_header_list_set_raw() and looks much cleaner.
(g_mime_header_list_get_stream): New function to access said
stream.

* gmime/gmime-message.c: Fixed uses of
g_mime_header_list_set/has_raw().
(g_mime_message_set_mime_part): Set the message's raw header
stream to NULL.

* gmime/gmime-multipart.c: Same.

* tests/test-parser.c (test_parser): Updated.

2009-04-09  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* README: Bumped version

* configure.in: Bumped version to 2.4.6

2009-04-05  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime/gmime-encodings.c (g_mime_encoding_uudecode_step): Fixed a
bug wrt updating uulen when the data isn't an exact multiple of 3.

* src/uuencode.c (uuencode): Don't bother dup()ing the stdout fd, just
use set_owner(FALSE) so that it doesn't close when we destroy the stream
instead.

* gmime/gmime-stream-file.c (stream_read, stream_write): Don't depend on
simple arithmetic to update our stream->position on Windows since it
may do line-ending translation behind our backs. Call ftell() to get
our real position after reading or writing.

* gmime/gmime-stream-fs.c (stream_read, stream_write): Same idea.

* gmime/gmime-utils.c (mktime_utc): Fixed the Windows code-path.
(charset_convert): In the Windows case, fake the E2BIG error condition
if outleft <= inleft on any error as errno doesn't seem to get
properly set in this case.

* tests/test-headers.c: Removed unused headers to fix the build on
Windows.

2009-04-04  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime/gmime-stream-fs.c: Ported to Windows by #including io.h

* examples/basic-example.c: Reverted to the old GMimeStreamFs logic
and #included io.h for G_OS_WIN32 systems.

* examples/imap-example.c: Ported to Windows by #including io.h and
using g_ascii_strcasecmp().

2009-04-03  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* build/vs2008: New directory for Visual Studio 2008 Solution & Project
files.

* gmime.vcproj: Moved to build/vs2008

* config.h.win32: Same.

* gmime.sln: Same.

* examples/basic-example.c: Fixed to build under Visual Studio by
using GMimeStreamFile instead of GMimeStreamFs and by #ifdef'ing
out the GnuPG code.

* tests/testsuit.[c,h]: Fixed to compile under Visual Studio which
basically means we can't use _try() as a function. Renamed to g_try().
Also renamed throw() to g_throw() for consistency.

2009-04-02  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* tests/testsuite.c: Modified to compile without the need for
pthread.h

* gmime.vcproj: Added logic to the PreBuild step to copy
config.h.win32 to config.h

* config.h.win32: Added.

2009-04-01  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime/gmime-utils.c: #include <process.h> for getpid() and ws2tcpip.h
for getaddrinfo() on Windows platforms.
(mktime_utc): Use _get_timezone() when building on Windows.
(g_mime_utils_header_format_date): Windows has gmtime_s() instead
of gmtime_r(), so use that on Windows.

* gmime/gmime-parser.c: If glib is >= 2.14, use GRegex instead of
glibc regex.

2009-04-01  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime/gmime-utils.c: Need to #include <unistd.h> for getpid().

* gmime/gmime-stream-fs.c: Need to #include <unistd.h> here.

* gmime/gmime-multipart-signed.c: Got rid of an unused variable.

* gmime/gmime-message.c: Removed unused variables.

* gmime/gmime-content-type.c: Don't need to #include
"gmime-table-private.h" here as we don't actually use it.

* util/gtrie.c: Disable g_warning()'s when compiled w/o
--enable-warnings and also fixed some compile warnings.

2009-03-31  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime.sln: New Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Solution file for GMime.

* gmime.vcproj: New Microsoft Visual C++ Project file for GMime.

2009-03-31  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime/gmime-utils.c: Removed unneeded #include <unistd.h>

* configure.in: Check for unistd.h

* gmime/gmime-multipart.c (read_random_pool): Implement using
rand() in the case that unistd.h is not available.

* gmime/gmime-parser.c (parser_scan_content): Fixed 'crlf'
argument to be a guint to make it easier to avoid compile warnings
about comparison between signed/unsigned ints in the callers.

* gmime/internet-address.c (internet_address_group_add_member):
Fixed g_return macros to return a value.
(internet_address_mailbox_get_addr): Same.

2009-03-30  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* configure.in: Check for regex.h

* gmime/gmime-parser.c: #ifdef out the regex functionality if the
system does not have regex.h

* gmime/gmime-stream-fs.h: Don't #include <unistd.h> here.

* gmime/gmime-stream.h: Removed #include <unistd.h> as it isn't
needed there.

* gmime/gmime-part.c: Removed unused includes.

* gmime/gmime-utils.c: Only #include <sys/utsname.h> if we have
utsname.domainname. Helps build process on Windows.

2009-03-29  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* README: Bumped version

* configure.in: Bumped version to 2.4.5

2009-03-27  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* gmime/gmime-stream-buffer.c: Fixed to be more diligent in setting
errno on error.

* gmime/gmime-stream-mmap.c: Fixed to be more diligent in setting
errno on error.

* gmime/gmime-stream-mem.c: Fixed to be more diligent in setting
errno on error.
(stream_seek): If the user seeks beyond the end of the buffer and
bound_end is unbound, then grow the buffer (e.g. a sparse file).

* gmime/gmime-stream-file.c: Fixed to be more diligent in setting
errno on error.

* gmime/gmime-stream-fs.c: Fixed to be more diligent in setting
errno on error.

2009-03-20  Jeffrey Stedfast  <fejj@novell.com>

* configure.in: Default --enable-largefile to yes. Looks like I
forgot to do this before rolling the version to 2.4.0 like I
intended.

* tools/Makefile.am: Fixed to include the porting script in
EXTRA_DIST (instead of extra_DIST) so that the tarball includes
it, doh!

Update gxemul to 0.4.7.2, and also pull some fixes from upstream trunk
for running several NetBSD ports properly on the emulator. PR pkg/41742

Discussed with and okay'ed by wiz@.

Upstream changes:

The changes between release 0.4.6.6 and 0.4.7 are:

* Motorola 88K emulation is now complete enough to run a guest operating
    system: OpenBSD/mvme88k 4.4.

    A big thank you goes to Miod Vallat, who sent me physical 88100
    documentation, via snail mail. This has been invaluable when implementing
    the 88K emulation mode.

The changes between release 0.4.7 and 0.4.7.1 are:

* Applying a man page hypenation patch from Jonathan Wiltshire.
* Minor documentation errors fixed.
* Some more missing M88K instructions added.
* NetBSD/hpcmips can now be installed and run using serial console (i.e.
    without -X), in addition to using the framebuffer.

The changes between release 0.4.7.1 and 0.4.7.2 are:

* NetBSD 5.0, OpenBSD 4.5, and HelenOS 0.4.0 have been released, and the
    guest OS page has been updated to reflect this. (Not all versions and
    architectures work; the versions listed on the guest OS page are the latest
    ones that have been tested.)
* A bug has been fixed which prevented configuration files from being used.

Patches pulled from upstream trunk:

patch-aa:
Applying a patch for setting the ARCBIOS OSLOADPARTITION environment
variable in a more correct way.
http://gxemul.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/gxemul?view=rev&revision=5473
This makes NetBSD/arc work on PICA emulation with VGA console.
(more proper fix than the previous patch-aa)

patch-ab:
Better fix for the Cobalt board ID number.
http://gxemul.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/gxemul?view=rev&revision=5485
(fixes in the previous patch-ab has been integrated in the latest release)

patch-ac:
Applying a patch which makes NetBSD/hpcmips work well with the clock again.
http://gxemul.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/gxemul?view=rev&revision=5472

pkgsrc changes:
- update MASTER_SITES and HOMEPAGE (now they are in sourceforge)
- update PLIST (add share/doc/gxemul/unsupported.html)

Added games/puzzles version 8605

(wiz)

2009-07-18 18:38:28 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Initial import of puzzles-8605, a collection of small one-player
puzzle games by Simon Tatham.

This package contains a collection of small computer programs which
implement one-player puzzle games. All of them run natively on Unix
(GTK), on Windows, and on Mac OS X; they can also be played on the
web, as Java applets.

Simon Tatham wrote this collection because he thought there should
be more small desktop toys available: little games you can pop up
in a window and play for two or three minutes while you take a
break from whatever else you were doing. And he was also annoyed
that every time he found a good game on (say) Unix, it wasn't
available the next time he was sitting at a Windows machine, or
vice versa; so he arranged that everything in my personal puzzle
collection will happily run on both those platforms and more. When
he finds (or perhaps invent) further puzzle games that he likes,
they'll be added to this collection and will immediately be available
on both platforms. And if anyone feels like writing any other front
ends - Mac OS pre-10, PocketPC, or whatever it might be - then all
the games in this framework will immediately become available on
another platform as well.

Upstream changes from 1.21 to 1.22:
1.22  Jul 15, 2009

- Apparently, overload::StrVal on older Perls (5.8.5, but not 5.8.8)
  tried to call a stringification method if it existed. So now,
  Devel::StackTrace just uses overload::AddrRef instead, which should
  always be safe. Reported by Michael Stevens. Fixes RT #47900.

Updated x11/xkbcomp to 1.1.0

(wiz)

2009-07-18 15:00:16 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.1.0:

xkbcomp wanted a release. This version does not have a lot of new features
but enough code was modified to justify the 1.1.0 bump.

The most interesting feature is the ability to configure the xkb data dir at
configure time rather than being forced to the hardcoded default.

Other changes include a few bug fixes, cleanups, comments and a run of
'indent' over the repository. The latter may require distribution patches
to be adjusted.

Cheers,
  Peter

Alan Coopersmith (5):
      Check for strdup & strcasecmp before assuming we need to provide our own
      Remove X_NOT_POSIX #ifdefs
      Remove #if 0'd typedef that appears nowhere else.
      sprintf -> snprintf conversions
      Use temporary buffer for generating Uxxx names to avoid overflow

Dan Nicholson (1):
      Allow the default XKB config root to be set from configure

Matthieu Herrb (1):
      Minimal man page addition for new -i option.

Paulo Cesar Pereira de Andrade (2):
      Correct make distcheck and most gcc and sparse warnings.
      Correct a remaining of a wrong change to make some DEBUG_VAR's static.

Peter Hutterer (13):
      Remove RCS tags.
      Add a few explanatory comments.
      Indent fixes.
      If we're not using XkbDesc, don't require it as a parameter.
      Add some explanatory comments
      Silence valgrind warnings.
      Remove useless longestPath variable.
      More comments.
      Don't pass useless handlers around in HandleIncludeKeycodes.
      Remove unused merge parameter from HandleKeyNameVar.
      Don't overwrite previously assigned type indices with useless ones.
      Check for NULL strings before calling strdup.
      Bump to 1.1.0.

Update to 1.2.38:

version 1.2.38beta01 [June 17, 2009]
  Revised libpng*.txt and libpng.3 to mention calling png_set_IHDR()
    multiple times and to specify the sample order in the tRNS chunk,
    because the ISO PNG specification has a typo in the tRNS table.
  Changed several PNG_UNKNOWN_CHUNK_SUPPORTED to
    PNG_HANDLE_AS_UNKNOWN_SUPPORTED, to make the png_set_keep mechanism
    available for ignoring known chunks even when not saving unknown chunks.
  Adopted preference for consistent use of "#ifdef" and "#ifndef" versus
    "#if defined()" and "if !defined()" where possible.
  Added PNG_NO_HANDLE_AS_UNKNOWN in the PNG_LEGACY_SUPPORTED block of
    pngconf.h, and moved the various unknown chunk macro definitions
    outside of the PNG_READ|WRITE_ANCILLARY_CHUNK_SUPPORTED blocks.

version 1.2.38rc01 [June 24, 2009]
  No changes.

version 1.2.38rc02 [June 29, 2009]
  Added a reference to the libpng license in each source file.

version 1.2.38rc03 [July 11, 2009]
  Revised references to the libpng license in pngconf.h and contrib/visupng
    source files.
  Rebuilt configure scripts with autoconf-2.63.

version 1.0.47 and 1.2.38 [July 16, 2009]
  No changes.

Added the ability to resolve simple variable references of the form
${VARNAME} into their values.

This was intended to fix the false positive warnings about missing
distinfo files, but it cannot handle database/ruby-gdbm for example,
because _RUBY_VER_MAJOR uses pattern substitution. Run pkglint with
-Dtrace,misc and look for resolve_var to see what happens up to now.
