Import lua-alt-getopt-0.6.0 from pkgsrc-wip.  Packaged by Aleksey Cheusov.

lua_altgetopt is a module for Lua programming language
for processing application's arguments the same way
BSD/GNU getopt_long(3) functions do.

Main features and goals:
1) compatibility to SUS "Utility Syntax Guidelines"
http://www.opengroup.org/onlinepubs/009695399/basedefs/xbd_chap12.html#tag_12_02
guidelines 3-13.
2) This module is for plain Lua
2) No extra dependencies
3) No hooks, no functional tricks ;-)
4) Support for long options, e.g. compatibility with getopt_long(3) C
function
present in *BSD and GNU libc.
5) Long options may optionally have one-char synonym or other long synonym
6) Strict error checking (checks for an incorrect use of options)
7) alt_getopt.lua is a Lua module.

Updated chat/silc-client to 1.1.8

(tonnerre)

2009-08-02 19:18:40 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update silc-client to version 1.1.8 to fix a security problem.

Changes:
- Portability: Check threads support in OpenBSD.
- Security: Fixed string format vulnerability in client entry handling.
- Autoconf upgrade.
- PacketEngine: Don't free underlaying stream in packet stream create error
- If packet stream creation failed it freed the stream given as argument.

This is wrong.  It is the caller's responsibility to free it if the
  packet stream creation failed.
- SKE: When failure is received mark SKE always failed

Mark the SKE failed even if we don't receive error from remote.  Fixes
crash where the callback is called back to application without valid
key material and without error status.

add gupnp-0.12.8, a base UPnP library

There are (at least) four diffent (and conflicting) libraries for
UUID creation. I've added patches to use the NetBSD native one
which should be present on other BSDs too.
Other OSes likely want to use the Linux/e2fs one (which is in

Updated security/sudo to 1.7.2p1.

(hasso)

2009-08-02 07:39:27 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 1.7.2p1.

Changes in 1.7.2p1 since 1.7.2:
===============================

* Fixed the expansion of the %h escape in #include file names introduced in
  sudo 1.7.1.

Changes in 1.7.2 since 1.7.1:
=============================

* A new #includedir directive is available in sudoers. This can be used to
implement an /etc/sudo.d directory. Files in an includedir are not edited
by visudo unless they contain a syntax error.
* The -g option did not work properly when only setting the group (and not
the user). Also, in -l mode the wrong user was displayed for sudoers
entries where only the group was allowed to be set.
* Fixed a problem with the alias checking in visudo which could prevent
  visudo from exiting.
* Sudo will now correctly parse the shell-style /etc/environment file format
  used by pam_env on Linux.
* When doing password and group database lookups, sudo will only cache an
entry by name or by id, depending on how the entry was looked up.
Previously, sudo would cache by both name and id from a single lookup, but
this breaks sites that have multiple password or group database names that
map to the same uid or gid.
* User and group names in sudoers may now be enclosed in double quotes to
avoid having to escape special characters.
* BSM audit fixes when changing to a non-root uid.
* Experimental non-Unix group support. Currently only works with Quest
Authorization Services and allows Active Directory groups fixes for
  Minix-3.
* For Netscape/Mozilla-derived LDAP SDKs the certificate and key paths may
be specified as a directory or a file. However, version 5.0 of the SDK
only appears to support using a directory (despite documentation to the
contrary). If SSL client initialization fails and the certificate or key
paths look like they could be default file name, strip off the last path
  element and try again.
* A setenv() compatibility fix for Linux systems, where a NULL value is
treated the same as an empty string and the variable name is checked
  against the NULL pointer.

Update devel/apache-maven to 2.2.0

Maven 2.2.0 contains a few important changes that justify the version
upgrade, instead of simply naming it 2.1.1. First, the Java requirement
for Maven 2.2.0 has been upgraded to 1.5 or later. This upgrade was
planned for 2.1.0, but that release still contained binaries that were
compatible with JDK 1.4. In addition, due to some serious flaws in the
version-expression POM transformation included in 2.1.0, this feature
has been removed for the time being. Finally, some new default execution
IDs have been added to Maven to enable the separation of configuration
for plugins bound by the default lifecycle mappings, and for those
invoked directly from the command line.

Changes that may affect existing builds

* MNG-4143 - Starting in 2.2.0, Maven will run only on Java 1.5 and later.
You can still build projects for JDK1.4 and earlier using the approach
documented in the Guide to Building JDK 1.4 Projects on JDK 1.5.
* MNG-3401 - Executions with an id equal to default-phase (where phase is
a valid lifecycle phase) may have unexpected results as it will be merged
  into the default lifecycle.
* MNG-4140/4179 - Version-expression resolution during installation and
deployment has been removed, returning to Maven 2.0.x behaviour.

Many of the changes in PostgreSQL 8.4 are new or improved administration and
monitoring tools and commands. Each user has their own favorite features which
will make day-to-day work with PostgreSQL easier and more productive for them.
Among the most popular enhancements are:

* Parallel Database Restore, speeding up recovery from backup up to 8 times
* Per-Column Permissions, allowing more granular control of sensitive data
* Per-database Collation Support, making PostgreSQL more useful in
  multi-lingual environments
* In-place Upgrades through pg_migrator (beta), enabling upgrades from 8.3 to
  8.4 without extensive downtime
* New Query Monitoring Tools, giving administrators more insight into query
  activity
* Greatly Reduced VACUUM Overhead through the Visibility Map
* New Monitoring Tools for current queries, query load and deadlocks

Version 8.4 also makes data analysis easier through the advanced ANSI SQL2003
features of windowing functions, common table expressions and recursive queries.
Enhancements to stored procedures, such as default parameters and variadic
parameters, make database server programming simpler and more compact.
Of course, there are also performance improvements included in this version.

Did you know that the := operator behaves funnily? Example:

exclam != echo ${DEFINED_LATER:Q} value
colon := ${DEFINED_LATER} value

@echo ${exclam}
@echo ${colon}

Don't expect them to be the same.
