py-zeroconf: updated to 0.37.0

0.37.0

Technically backwards incompatible:

Adding a listener that does not inherit from RecordUpdateListener now logs an error

The NotRunningException exception is now thrown when Zeroconf is not running

Before this change the consumer would get a timeout or an EventLoopBlocked
exception when calling ServiceInfo.*request when the instance had already been shutdown
or had failed to startup.

The EventLoopBlocked exception is now thrown when a coroutine times out

Previously concurrent.futures.TimeoutError would have been raised
instead. This is never expected to happen during normal operation.

Updated comms/py-esptool, textproc/py-lxml

(adam)

2021-12-16 20:17:10 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

py-lxml: updated to 4.7.1

4.7.1 (2021-12-13)

Features added

Chunked Unicode string parsing via parser.feed() now encodes the input data to the native UTF-8 encoding directly, instead of going through Py_UNICODE / wchar_t encoding first, which previously required duplicate recoding in most cases.

Bugs fixed

The standard namespace prefixes were mishandled during "C14N2" serialisation on Python 3. See https://mail.python.org/archives/list/lxml@python.org/thread/6ZFBHFOVHOS5GFDOAMPCT6HM5HZPWQ4Q/
lxml.objectify previously accepted non-XML numbers with underscores (like "1_000") as integers or float values in Python 3.6 and later. It now adheres to the number format of the XML spec again.
Static wheels of lxml now contain the header files of zlib and libiconv (in addition to the already provided headers of libxml2/libxslt/libexslt).

Other changes

Wheels include libxml2 2.9.12+ and libxslt 1.1.34 (also on Windows).

4.7.0 (2021-12-13)

Release retracted due to missing files in lxml/includes/.

4.6.5 (2021-12-12)

Bugs fixed

A vulnerability (GHSL-2021-1038) in the HTML cleaner allowed sneaking script content through SVG images (CVE-2021-43818).
A vulnerability (GHSL-2021-1037) in the HTML cleaner allowed sneaking script content through CSS imports and other crafted constructs (CVE-2021-43818).

The non-writability check for DISTDIR is intended to prevent wasting
resources when fetchers wouldn't be able to save what they download. On
my build farm with pkgsrc (and pkgsrc/distfiles) mounted over NFS,
however, the check gives false positives for NetBSD 9.2 and -current.
Downgrade it to a warning so that these fetches can succeed, while
leaving a breadcrumb in case someone encounters a true positive.

It would of course be interesting to sort out why, in my environment, a
wide variety of other OSes get 1 for "${TEST} ! -w $fetchdir" while
NetBSD gets 0. In the meantime, joerg@ suggested this workaround and
gdt@ agrees it's reasonable to try.

py-netCDF4: updated to 1.5.8

version 1.5.8
* Fix Enum bug (issue 1128): the enum_dict member of an EnumType read from a file
contains invalid values when the enum is large enough (more than 127 or 255
  members).
* Binary wheels for aarch64 and python 3.10.

version 1.5.7
* don't try to mask vlens with default  _FillValue, since vlens don't have a default _FillValue.
This gets rid of numpy DeprecationWarning (issue 1099).
* update docs to reflect the fact that a variable must be in collective mode before writing
compressed data to it in parallel. Added a test for this (examples/mpi_example_compressed.py).
* Fix OverflowError when dimension sizes become greater than 2**32-1 elements on Windows (Issue 1112).
* Don't return masked arrays for vlens (only for primitive and enum types

py-fonttools: updated to 4.28.4

4.28.4 (released 2021-12-15)
----------------------------

- [merge] Merge GDEF marksets in Lookups properly
- [feaLib] Have ``fontTools feaLib`` script exit with error code when build fails
- [svgPathPen] Added ``ntos`` option to customize number formatting (e.g. rounding)
- [subset] Speed up subsetting of large CFF fonts
- [otTables] Speculatively promote lookups to extension to speed up compilation. If the
offset to lookup N is too big to fit in a ushort, the offset to lookup N+1 is going to
be too big as well, so we promote to extension all lookups from lookup N onwards

4.28.3 (released 2021-12-03)
----------------------------

- [subset] Fixed bug while subsetting ``COLR`` table, whereby incomplete layer records
pointing to missing glyphs were being retained leading to ``struct.error`` upon
compiling. Make it so that ``glyf`` glyph closure, which follows the ``COLR`` glyph
closure, does not influence the ``COLR`` table subsetting
- [docs] Fully document the ``cmap`` and ``glyf`` tables
- [colorLib.unbuilder] Fixed CLI by deleting no longer existing parameter (180bb1867).

4.28.2 (released 2021-11-22)
----------------------------

- [otlLib] Remove duplicates when building coverage
- [docs] Add interrogate configuration
- [docs] Remove comment about missing start optional argument to ``calcChecksum``
- [cu2qu/cli] Adapt to the latest ufoLib2.
- [subset] Support subsetting SVG table and remove it from the list of  drop by default tables
- [subset] add ``--pretty-svg`` option to pretty print SVG table contents
- [merge] Support merging ``CFF`` tables (CID-keyed ``CFF`` is still not supported)
- [merge] Support ``--output-file``
- [docs] Split table docs into individual pages
- [feaLib] Forbid empty classes
- [docs] Improve documentation for ``fontTools.ttLib.ttFont``

doc: Updated devel/mold to 1.0.0

(fcambus)

2021-12-16 08:37:31 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

mold: update to 1.0.0.

mold 1.0 is the first stable and production-ready release of the high-speed
linker. On Linux-based systems, it should "just work" as a faster drop-in
replacement for the default GNU linker for most user-land programs. If you
are building a large executable which takes a long time to link, mold is
worth a try to see if it can shorten your build time. mold is easy to build
and easy to use. For more details, see README.

mold is created by a person who knows very well as to how the Unix linker
should behave, as I'm also the original creator of the current version of
the LLVM lld linker.

There's no fancy new features in 1.0. Actually, 1.0 is very similar to
0.9.6. That being said, we'd like to make it clear by incrementing a major
version number that mold for Linux is now stable.

Changes since mold 0.9.6:

- -start-lib and -end-lib options are added for compatibility with GNU
  gold and LLVM lld.
- More ARM64 relocations are supported.
- Compatibility with glibc 2.2 or prior has improved. (#120)
- Compatibility with valgrind has improved. (#118)
- -Bno-symbolic option has been supported.
- -require-defined option has been supported.

audio/fasttracker2: Update to v1.49

Changes since v1.48

v1.49 - 13.12.2021
- Fixed a bug when using Cut (or CTRL+X) on 16-bit samples in the sample
editor. It would read data from the wrong offset.
- Kludge: Allow marking the very last sample points in the sample editor if the
image is stretching out the whole screen in fullscreen mode.
- Mac:
  1) Fixed possible mouse coordinate scaling bug when leaving fullscreen
  2) Left Command key won't trigger song play anymore.
Use the right Alt key for this. If you have an old Mac without a right Alt
key, I suggest getting a newer computer (my first priority is modern
    computers).
  3) Left Command key can now be used instead of Alt for:
      - Select all (A - sample/text editing)
      - Cut (X - sample/text editing)
      - Copy (C - sample/text editing)
      - Paste (V - sample/text editing)
- Updated the help text

openvpn: updated to 2.5.5

Overview of changes in 2.5.5
============================

User-visible Changes
--------------------
- SWEET32/64bit cipher deprecation change was postponed to 2.7

- Windows: use network address for emulated DHCP server as default
this enables use of a /30 subnet, which is needed when connecting
  to OpenVPN Cloud.

- require EC support in windows builds
(this means it's no longer possible to build a Windows OpenVPN binary
with an OpenSSL lib without EC support)

New features
------------
- Windows build: use CFG and Spectre mitigations on MSVC builds

- bring back OpenSSL config loading to Windows builds.
OpenSSL config is loaded from %installdir%\SSL\openssl.cfg
(typically: c:\program files\openvpn\SSL\openssl.cfg) if it exists.

This is important for some hardware tokens which need special
  OpenSSL config for correct operation.

Bugfixes
--------
- Windows build: enable EKM

- Windows build: improve various vcpkg related build issues

- Windows build: fix regression related to non-writeable status files

- Windows build: fix regression that broke OpenSSL EC support

- Windows build: fix "product version" display (2.5..4 -> 2.5.4)

- Windows build: fix regression preventing use of PKCS12 files

- improve "make check" to notice if "openvpn --show-cipher" crashes

- improve argv unit tests

- ensure unit tests work with mbedTLS builds without BF-CBC ciphers

- include "--push-remove" in the output of "openvpn --help"

- fix error in iptables syntax in example firewall.sh script

- fix "resolvconf -p" invocation in example "up" script

- fix "common_name" environment for script calls when
  "--username-as-common-name" is in effect

Documentation
-------------
- move "push-peer-info" documentation from "server options" to "client"
  (where it belongs)

- correct "foreign_option_{n}" typo in manpage

- update IRC information in CONTRIBUTING.rst (libera.chat)

- README.down-root: fix plugin module name

1.7.1 (2021-12-15)
------------------
* Removed most of the Python 2 support code and fixed ``python_requires`` to require at least Python 3.6.

Note that 1.7.0 has been yanked because it could not install on Python 2.7.
Installing lazy-object-proxy on Python 2.7 should automatically fall back to the 1.6.0 release now.

nano: update to 6.0

2021.12.15 - GNU nano 6.0  "Humor heeft ook zijn leuke kanten"

• Option --zero hides the title bar, status bar and help lines, and
uses all rows of the terminal as editing area.  The title bar and
status bar can be toggled with M-Z.
• Colors can now be specified also as three-digit hexadecimal numbers,
in the format #rgb.  This picks from the 216 index colors (that most
terminals know) the color that is nearest to the given values.
• For users who dislike numbers, there are fourteen new color names:
rosy, beet, plum, sea, sky, slate, teal, sage, brown, ocher, sand,
  tawny, brick, and crimson.
• Suspension is enabled by default, invokable with ^T^Z.  The options
-z, --suspendable, and 'set suspendable' are obsolete and ignored.
(In case you want to be able to suspend nano with a single keystroke,
you can put 'bind ^Z suspend main' in your nanorc.)
• When automatic hard-wrapping is in effect, pasting just a few words
(without a line break) will now hard-wrap the line when needed.
• Toggling Append or Prepend clears the current filename.
• The word count as shown by M-D is now affected by option --wordbounds;
with it, nano counts words as 'wc' does; without it (the new default),
words are counted in a more human way: seeing punctuation as space.
• The YAML syntax file is now actually included in the tarball.

py-lazy-object-proxy: updated to 1.7.0

1.7.0 (2021-12-15)
------------------

* Switched CI to GitHub Actions, this has a couple consequences:

  * Support for Python 2.7 is dropped. You can still install it there but it's not tested anymore and
Python 2 specific handling will be removed at some point.
  * Linux wheels are now provided in `musllinux` and `manylinux2014` variants.

* Fixed ``__index__`` to fallback to ``int`` if the wrapped object doesn't have an ``__index__`` method.
This prevents situations where code using a proxy would otherwise likely just call ``int`` had the object
  not have an ``__index__`` method.

2021-12-14 22:16:12 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

sysutils/macchina: update to 6.0.1

v6.0.1
- Use the correct section numbering for our manpages.

v6.0.0
macchina v6.0, codename "Gallium"

We hope you'll enjoy this release as much as we did preparing it

If you want to give back to macchina, tell your friends about it :)

BREAKING CHANGES

- `MACCHINA_CONF` has been deprecated. The reason being that it accomplishes
the same thing as `--config`. (#200)
- In themes, the `hide_bar_delimiters` option has been deprecated. We've
renamed it to `hide_delimiters` and moved it to the [bar] section. (#200)
- In themes, the `palette` option has been deprecated. There's now an entire
section dedicated to the palette component named [palette]. (#200)

Bugfixes

- The command-line flag named `--short-uptime` has been renamed to
`--long-uptime`, the option in your configuration remains the same. (#200)
- libmacchina: The desktop environment readout now prefers
  `XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP`, with `DESKTOP_SESSION` as a fallback. (#199)
- A spacing bug that results in uneven space between the left and right side of
the separator in certain situations has been fixed. (#200)
- A spacing bug that results in more space being used than specified when the
separator is invisible has been fixed. (#200)
- Every option in theme files is now entirely optional, you will no longer get
into trouble with cryptic error messages when forgetting to set some options.
  (#200)
- macchina should hopefully be able to locate macOS users' themes now. (#200)

Features

- We've added back the option to display your physical or logical core count.
  (#200)
- There's two new manpages! One for configuration and another for
  customization. (#200)
- macchina now searches through more locations for its themes, like
  `/usr/share`. (#200)
- There's now a much nicer error reporting for themes. (#208)

You can now:
- use indexed and hexadecimal colors for any option that accepts a color.
  (#193)
- tell macchina what pool of colors to use in the randomization process. (#200)
- specify the kind of border you want the box to use. (#200)
- specify the glyph used by the palette (#200).

Other nice things

- `--list-themes` gets a new look, and it tells which theme is active now as
  well.
- Some under-the-hood changes and refactoring work that very slightly improve
performance and make the codebase nicer to navigate.
- macchina and libmacchina's dependencies have been bumped, so we're mostly
  up-to-date.
- libmacchina: Gentoo users no longer need `portage-utils` for the package
readout to report their package count.

Big thanks to

- [uttarayan21](https://github.com/uttarayan21) for introducing 10x better
error reporting, and bringing a whole set of new colors to macchina.
- [0323pin](https://github.com/0323pin) for contributing a sexy-looking theme
and testing out this version on NetBSD.
- [FantasyTeddy](https://github.com/FantasyTeddy) for helping us resolve linter
  warnings for various platforms.

Updated graphics/GraphicsMagick, graphics/p5-GraphicsMagick

(adam)

2021-12-14 19:56:25 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

GraphicsMagick: updated to 1.3.37

1.3.37 (December ?, 2021)
==========================

Special Issues:

* The FTP site ftp.graphicsmagick.org is now shut down due to a lack
of bandwith, extremely abusive users (including from Google and
customers of Amazon Web Services), and a lack of support from the
user community.  Another factor is that FTP support has been removed
from popular web browsers.  This is very unfortunate since the site
served multiple usages, including providing a lot of historical data
(e.g. related to PNG) which may not be available elsewhere.

* The Microsoft Visual Studio build has not been updated for this
release (although it does compile and the results do work fine) and
I will not be providing any Windows installation packages
corresponding to this release.  The problem is that the third-party
'delegate' libraries are out of date and they need to be updated
since some of them are known to contain severe security
vulnerabilities.  Several third-party 'delegate' libraries now
require real C'99 support, which means that Visual Studio 2015 or
later would be required to build them.  The 'configure' program used
to build the Visual Studio project files needs to be updated since
otherwise a 20 minute project upgrade cycle is needed when using
Visual Studio 2019, and to make minor path changes to avoid a
multitude of project-file warnings while building.  The installation
requirements for Visual Studio 2015 or later are different (related
to run-time "redistributables", which are now very onerous) and so
the Inno Setup installer needs some minor (or major) changes.  Many
pleas for assistance have been made (e.g. even to help with testing
to see if the software executes at all) but thus far the Microsoft
Windows user community has not been helpful with regards to the
  Microsoft Visual Studio build.

* GraphicsMagick really does need some additional productive
volunteers.  For several years now, the burden has entirely been on
me.  I have been sheparding the project for 19 years already (and
contributed to ImageMagick and GraphicsMagick combined for 25 years
already).  It is not reasonable to expect someone with a full time
job (and expecting to retire in a couple of years) to do all of the
  work.

Security Fixes:

* GraphicsMagick is participating in Google's oss-fuzz project due to
the contributions and assistance of Alex Gaynor. Since February 4
2018, 590 issues have been opened by oss-fuzz and 23 issues remain
open (most of which are in third-party software such as development
JasPer).  The issues list is available at
  https://bugs.chromium.org/p/oss-fuzz/issues/list under search term
"graphicsmagick".  Issues are available for anyone to view and
duplicate if they have been in "Verified" status for 30 days, or if
they have been in "New" status for 90 days.  Please consult the
GraphicsMagick ChangeLog file, Mercurial repository commit log, and
the oss-fuzz issues list for details.

Bug fixes:

* CAPTION: Eliminate an assertion upon deallocation.

* CMYK: Fix broken reading of planar CMYK files (a regression since 1.3.27).

* ExecuteModuleProcess(): Add missing error reporting related to
  the -module command option.

* GIF: Handle GIF files where the 'opaque' index matches the number of
colors by producing an extra colormap entry of transparent
  black.

* JP2: Adaptations to compile cleanly with JasPer 2.0.20.

* META: Fix types used to prefer unsigned types where possible and to
use 'size_t' rather than 'int' for size values.

* MSL: A great many MSL parser fixes.

* Microsoft Windows: Detect and use Ghostscript point versions added
after 9.52, after which the version number format was changed.

* PCX: Fix problem that 16-colors are used rather than 256-colors

* PDF: Fix MediaBox dimensions ("Incorrect MediaBox in PDF export").

* PDF: Use appropriate memory deallocator for memory returned by
  StringToList().

* RGB: Fix broken reading of planar RGB files (a regression since
  1.3.27).

* TIFF: Fix double-charging for memory allocations (a regression since
  1.3.36).

* TIFF: Make sure that loops using TIFFReadScanline(), etc, do quit
  upon first reported error.

* WEBP: Enforce that embedded profiles provided by libWebP are not
  zero-sized.

* WEBP: Use SetImagePixelsEx() rather than GetImagePixelsEx() in
  reader.

* WriteBlob(): Use appropriate handle for bzip2.

New Features:

* None

API Updates:

* DisposeTypeToString(): New utility function to convert a DisposeType
  to a string.

* StringToDisposeType(): New utility function to convert a string to a
  DisposeType.

Feature improvements:

* JP2: Support building using development JasPer 3.0.0 and request
that it use our managed-memory allocators for resource control.

* Pixel Cache: Memory cache implementation of pixel cache now uses
  resource limited memory allocator.

* Analyze filter module: Add OpenMP speed-ups.

* IsImagesEqual(): Allow comparing images when the 'matte' channel
  flag differs.

Windows Delegate Updates/Additions:

* Remove bundled hp2xx.exe, mpeg2dec.exe, and mpeg2enc.exe.

Build Changes:

* Microsoft Windows: configure.ac fixes for gdi32 to depend on user32
  as well.

* Microsoft Windows: VisualMagick/All/All.vcproj.in updated to fix
problem with not being able to load the 'All' project if the project
  supports the x64 target.

* Autotools build, many more TAP tests have been added, including to
exercise all of the 'convert' commands.

* TIFF: Adaptations to compile cleanly for libtiff versions
  beyond 20201219.

* Magick++: Support compiling with C++'98 through C++'17.

* Autotools build, Add support for using an external
'graphicsmagick_snapshot_copy' script to copy files for the
'snapshot' target. This provides local control over how files are
copied and where they are copied to.

Behavior Changes:

* TranslateTextEx(): If image resolution is impossibly small, then
report the default resolution of 72 DPI, or the equivalent in
centimeters if units is in pixels-per-centimeter.

xfce4 & xfce4-extras: move gnome-themes-standard back to xfce4

gnome-themes-standard had been moved to extras to try and help 32-bit
ARM builds generate a complete base DE, because of librsvg breakage.
With Xfce 4.16 having various components that now use CSDs, we really
must have this package as part of the basic install. (And, in any case,
32-bit ARM builds have different dependent package breakages now.)

sysutils/puppet: update to 7.13.1

Puppet 7.13.1 (2021-12-09)

Enhancements

ENC enforced environment bypass

Changed the priority of the --environment option by skipping the
classification whenever the flag is specified.  This allows the user to
bypass the ENC enforced environment with the CLI option.  PUP-7479

Resolved issues

Puppet::FileSystem.chmod does not validate its arguments
Puppet::FileSystem.chmod now validates its arguments like other
methods.  PUP-11345
Warning: #<Puppet::Transaction::Persistence after upgrading to Puppet agent
6.25.0

Fixes a regression introduced in 6.25.0 and 7.10.0 that caused a
Puppet::Transaction::Persistence warning during each agent run. PUP-11321

User resource tries to create rather than modify users created by a utility

This release moves the ssh_authorized_key resource's creation to the end of
the user type flow, after all user properties and parameters were resolved,
to avoid order dependency errors.  PUP-11320

Puppet code merger using incorrect command

Reduces memory usage when parsing manifests. PUP-11318

Failure when using the names "apply" and "plan" within an apply() block in a
plan

The names "apply" and "plan" can now be used as resource parameter names in
all cases.  Previously, using them within an apply() block in a plan would
fail.  PUP-11315

Puppet attempts to execute directories from /etc/init.d/

Prevents Puppet from considering directories from /etc/init.d/ as
services.  PUP-11313

Puppet creates excessive Pathname instances

Reduces the number of Pathname allocations when parsing Puppet manifests.
PUP-11312

Pathname.absolute? uses excessive memory

Backported Ruby patch to Pathname.absolute? to reduce memory usage.
PUP-11311

High memory consumption from lib/puppet/pops/parser/lexer2.rb

Reduced lexer2 memory usage.  PUP-11236

versioncmp() treats 11.0 as greater than 11

versioncmp() now strips redundant numbers.  PUP-11235

puppet lookup --facts {filename} fails if filename does not contain a dot

Before this release, puppet lookup --facts {filename} failed early when the
filename given did not contain a dot.  This fix removes the early extensions
check and adds a fallback instead: tries both formats (JSON then YAML) to
read the given facts file when its path doesn't end with any of the expected
extensions (yaml/yml/json).  Otherwise, it follows previous implementation
and respects the given extension.  PUP-11204

Facts provided in a file cannot be used for classification

Fixed a bug where facts provided in a file were not being merged with the
facts used for classification.  This is because Puppet collected and merged
the said facts after the classification happened.  To fix this, we ensured
that Puppet resolves the facts being used for classification before the node
request.  PUP-10435

Inconsistent handling of trusted facts in the lookup CLI

When using puppet lookup with --facts, if the facts file overrides any of
hostname, domain, fqdn, clientcert, then it must override all of them.
Also, if a value for certname is provided in a fact file for the lookup
application, use it when creating the trusted information object.  This
makes it possible to override trusted.certname for classification.  PUP-8220

Lookup ignores environment from the classifier when using a rule with
trusted facts

Fixed an issue where trusted facts could not be used as rules for
classification.  This was fixed by gathering the trusted facts from the
PuppetDB query result, and overriding the trusted facts context.  PUP-8094

Misleading results when using --node flag in puppet lookup

Fixed an issue where puppet lookup would result in misleading results when
using the --node flag.  This happened because there can be cases where the
target node does not have any facts cached.  To avoid this, the fix
implemented checks for the node facts/facts given in a fact file, and if it
doesn't find any it raises an error.  PUP-7362

Files starting with "~" in recursive directories are evaluated as usernames

Puppet can now manage files whose names start with tilde "~" characters.
PUP-5800

Failed to generate additional resources using 'eval_generate': Cannot manage
files of type socket

This release allows Puppet to retrieve attributes for fifo and socket files
and manage them when the given manifest has a file resource which is
recursing over a given path.  PUP-4045

py-asdf: updated to 2.8.3

2.8.3 (2021-12-13)
------------------
- Fix more use of 'python' where 'python3' is intended.

2.8.2 (2021-12-06)
------------------
- Update documentation to reflect new 2.8 features.
- Fix array compression for non-native byte order
- Fix use of 'python' where 'python3' is intended.
- Fix schema URI resolving when the URI prefix is also
  claimed by a legacy extension.
- Remove 'name' and 'version' attributes from NDArrayType
  instances.

2.8.1 (2021-06-09)
------------------
- Fix bug in block manager when a new block is added to an existing
  file without a block index.

2.8.0 (2021-05-12)
------------------
- Add ``yaml_tag_handles`` property to allow definition of custom yaml
``%TAG`` handles in the asdf file header.
- Add new resource mapping API for extending asdf with additional
  schemas.
- Add global configuration mechanism.
- Drop support for automatic serialization of subclass
  attributes.
- Support asdf:// as a URI scheme.
- Include only extensions used during serialization in
  a file's metadata.
- Drop support for Python 3.5.
- Add new extension API to support versioned extensions.
- Permit wildcard in tag validator URIs.
- Implement support for ASDF Standard 1.6.0.  This version of
the standard limits mapping keys to string, integer, or
  boolean.
- Stop removing schema defaults for all ASDF Standard versions,
and automatically fill defaults only for versions <= 1.5.0.
- Stop removing keys with ``None`` values from the tree on write.  This
fixes a long-standing issue where the tree structure is not preserved
on write, but will break ``ExtensionType`` subclasses that depend on
this behavior.  Extension developers will need to modify their
``to_tree`` methods to check for ``None`` before adding a key to
the tree (or modify the schema to permit nulls, if that is the
  intention).
- Deprecated the ``auto_inline`` argument to ``AsdfFile.write_to`` and
  ``AsdfFile.update`` and added ``AsdfConfig.array_inline_threshold``.
- Add ``edit`` subcommand to asdftool for efficient editing of
the YAML portion of an ASDF file.
- Increase limit on integer literals to signed 64-bit.
- Remove the ``asdf.test`` method and ``asdf.__githash__`` attribute.
- Add support for custom compression via extensions.
- Remove unnecessary ``.tree`` from search result paths.
- Drop support for bugs in older operating systems and Python versions.
- Add argument to ``asdftool diff`` that ignores tree nodes that match
  a JMESPath expression.
- Fix behavior of ``exception`` argument to ``GenericFile.seek_until``.
- Fix issues in file type detection to allow non-seekable input and
filenames without recognizable extensions.  Remove the ``asdf.asdf.is_asdf_file``
  function.
- Update ``asdftool extensions`` and ``asdftool tags`` to incorporate
  the new extension API.
- Add ``AsdfSearchResult.replace`` method for assigning new values to
  search results.
- Search for block index starting from end of file. Fixes rare bug when
a data block contains a block index.
- Update asdf-standard to 1.6.0 tag.

2.7.5 (2021-06-09)
------------------
- Fix bug in ``asdf.schema.check_schema`` causing relative references in
  metaschemas to be resolved incorrectly.
- Fix bug in block manager when a new block is added to an existing
  file without a block index.

2.7.4 (2021-04-30)
------------------
- Fix pytest plugin failure under older versions of pytest.
- Copy array views when the base array is non-contiguous.
- Prohibit views over FITS arrays that change dtype.
- Add support for HTTPS URLs and following redirects.
- Prevent astropy warnings in tests when opening known bad files.
