py-magic-wormhole: Add version 0.12.0

This package provides a library and a command-line tool named
wormhole, which makes it possible to get arbitrary-sized files and
directories (or short pieces of text) from one computer to
another. The two endpoints are identified by using identical "wormhole
codes": in general, the sending machine generates and displays the
code, which must then be typed into the receiving machine.

The codes are short and human-pronounceable, using a
phonetically-distinct wordlist. The receiving side offers
tab-completion on the codewords, so usually only a few characters must
be typed. Wormhole codes are single-use and do not need to be
memorized.

tahoe-lafs: Update to 1.15.0

Release 1.15.0 (2020-10-13)
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Features
--------

- PyPy is now a supported platform. (`#1792 <https://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/ticket/1792>`_)
- allmydata.testing.web, a new module, now offers a supported Python API for testing Tahoe-LAFS web API clients. (`#3317 <https://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/ticket/3317>`_)

Dependency/Installation Changes
-------------------------------

- Tahoe-LAFS now supports CentOS 8 and no longer supports CentOS 7. (`#3296 <https://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/ticket/3296>`_)
- Tahoe-LAFS now supports Ubuntu 20.04. (`#3328 <https://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/ticket/3328>`_)

Removed Features
----------------

- The Magic Folder frontend has been split out into a stand-alone project.  The functionality is no longer part of Tahoe-LAFS itself.  Learn more at <https://github.com/LeastAuthority/magic-folder>. (`#3284 <https://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/ticket/3284>`_)
- Slackware 14.2 is no longer a Tahoe-LAFS supported platform. (`#3323 <https://tahoe-lafs.org/trac/tahoe-lafs/ticket/3323>`_)

tahoe-lafs: Update to 1.13.0

Release 1.13.0 (05-August-2018)
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

New Features
------------

The ``tahoe list-aliases`` command gained the ``--readonly-uri``
option in `PR400`_, which lists read-only capabilities (the default
shows read/write capabilities if available). This command also gained
a ``--json`` option in `PR452`_, providing machine-readable output.

A new command ``tahoe status`` is added, showing some statistics and
currently active operations (similar to the ``/status`` page in the
Web UI). See also `PR502`_.

Immutable uploads now use the "servers of happiness" algorithm for
uploading shares. This means better placement of shares on available
servers. See `PR416`_.

To join a new client to a grid, the command ``tahoe invite`` was
added. This uses `magic wormhole`_ to connect two computers and
exchange the required information to start the client. The "client
side" of this command is the also new option ``tahoe
create-client --join=``. Together, this provides a way to provision a
new client without having to securely transmit the fURL and other
details. `PR418`_

``tahoe backup`` now reports progress. `PR474`_

The ``tub.port=`` option can now accept ``listen:i2p`` or
``listen:tor`` options to use popular anonymity networks with storage
servers. See `PR437`_

The place where storage servers put shares (the "storage path") is now
configurable (`PR472`_).

A PyInstaller-based build is now available (`PR421`_). A "Docker
compose" setup for development purposes is now available (`PR445`_).

There is now a recommended workflow for Zcash-based donations to support
storage server operators (`PR506`_).

Web UI Changes
--------------

We set the "Referrer-Policy: no-referrer" header on all requests. The
Welcome page now understands the JSON option (`PR430`_) and OPTIONS
requests are handled (`PR447`_).

Magic Folder Changes
--------------------

Multiple magic-folders in a single Tahoe client are now
supported. Bugs with ``.backup`` files have been fixed, meaning
spurious ``.backup`` files will be produced less often (`PR448`_,
`PR475`_). Handling of default umask on new magic-folder files is
fixed in `PR458`_. The user mtime value is now correctly preserved
(`PR457`_).

A bug in ``tahoe magic-folder status`` causing active operations to
sometimes not show up is fixed (`PR461`_). If a directory is missing,
it is created (`PR492`_).

sudo: updated to 1.9.6p1

Major changes between version 1.9.6p1 and 1.9.6:

Fixed a regression introduced in sudo 1.9.6 that resulted in an error message instead of a usage message when sudo is run with no arguments.

Major changes between version 1.9.6 and 1.9.5p2:

Fixed a sudo_sendlog compilation problem with the AIX xlC compiler.
Fixed a regression introduced in sudo 1.9.4 where the --disable-root-mailer configure option had no effect.
Added a --disable-leaks configure option that avoids some memory leaks on exit that would otherwise occur. This is intended to be used with development tools that measure memory leaks. It is not safe to use in production at this time.
Plugged some memory leaks identified by oss-fuzz and ASAN.
Fixed the handling of sudoOptions for an LDAP sudoRole that contains multiple sudoCommands. Previously, some of the options would only be applied to the first sudoCommand.
Fixed a potential out of bounds read in the parsing of NOTBEFORE and NOTAFTER sudoers command options (and their LDAP equivalents).
The parser used for reading I/O log JSON files is now more resilient when processing invalid JSON.
Fixed typos that prevented make uninstall from working.
Fixed a regression introduced in sudo 1.9.4 where the last line in a sudoers file might not have a terminating NUL character added if no newline was present.
Integrated oss-fuzz and LLVM's libFuzzer with sudo. The new --enable-fuzzer configure option can be combined with the --enable-sanitizer option to build sudo with fuzzing support. Multiple fuzz targets are available for fuzzing different parts of sudo. Fuzzers are built and tested via make fuzz or as part of make check (even when sudo is not built with fuzzing support). Fuzzing support currently requires the LLVM clang compiler (not gcc).
Fixed the --enable-static-sudoers configure option.
Fixed a potential out of bounds read sudo when is run by a user with more groups than the value of max_groups in sudo.conf.
Added an admin_flag sudoers option to make the use of the ~/.sudo_as_admin_successful file configurable on systems where sudo is build with the --enable-admin-flag configure option. This mostly affects Ubuntu and its derivatives.
The max_groups setting in sudo.conf is now limited to 1024. This setting is obsolete and should no longer be needed.
Fixed a bug in the tilde expansion of CHROOT=dir and CWD=dir sudoers command options. A path ~/foo was expanded to /home/userfoo instead of /home/user/foo. This also affects the runchroot and runcwd Defaults settings.
Fixed a bug on systems without a native getdelim(3) function where very long lines could cause parsing of the sudoers file to end prematurely.
Fixed a potential integer overflow when converting the timestamp_timeout and passwd_timeout sudoers settings to a timespec struct.
The default for the group_source setting in sudo.conf is now dynamic on macOS. Recent versions of macOS do not reliably return all of a user's non-local groups via getgroups(2), even when _DARWIN_UNLIMITED_GETGROUPS is defined.
Fixed a potential use-after-free in the PAM conversation function.
Fixed potential redefinition of sys/stat.h macros in sudo_compat.h.

Adjust libfm bl3 to include libexif, and rev bump dependencies

Packages that depend on libfm and use libtool need to link against
libexif, so reflect that in libfm's buildlink3.mk. (This will be more
relevant when lxhotkey is added. lxpanel does not directly depend on
libexif, so that's corrected here, too.)

from_type() to try resolving ForwardRef and Type references to
built-in types.

6.7.0 - 2021-03-10

This release teaches RuleBasedStateMachine to avoid checking
invariant()s until all initialize() rules have been run. You can
enable checking of specific invariants for incompletely initialized
machines by using @invariant(check_during_init=True) (issue #2868).

In previous versions, it was possible if awkward to implement this
behaviour using precondition() and an auxiliary variable.

6.6.1 - 2021-03-09

This patch improves the error message when from_type() fails to
resolve a forward-reference inside a typing.Type such as Type["int"]
(issue #2565).

6.6.0 - 2021-03-07

This release makes it an explicit error to apply invariant() to a
rule() or initialize() rule in stateful testing. Such a combination
had unclear semantics, especially in combination with precondition(),
and was never meant to be allowed (issue #2681).

6.5.0 - 2021-03-07

This release adds the explain phase, in which Hypothesis attempts
to explain why your test failed by pointing to suspicious lines of
code (i.e. those which were always, and only, run on failing inputs).
We plan to include generalising failing examples in this phase
in a future release (issue #2192).

6.4.3 - 2021-03-04

This patch fixes issue #2794, where nesting deferred() strategies
within recursive() strategies could trigger an internal assertion.
While it was always possible to get the same results from a more
sensible strategy, the convoluted form now works too.

6.4.2 - 2021-03-04

This patch fixes several problems with mypy when no-implicit-reexport
was activated in user projects.

Thanks to Nikita Sobolev for fixing issue #2884!

6.4.1 - 2021-03-04

This patch fixes an exception that occurs when using type unions
of the typing_extensions Literal backport on Python 3.6.

Thanks to Ben Anhalt for identifying and fixing this bug.

6.4.0 - 2021-03-02

This release fixes stateful testing methods with multiple precondition()
decorators. Previously, only the outer-most precondition was checked
(issue #2681).

6.3.4 - 2021-02-28

This patch refactors some internals of RuleBasedStateMachine. There
is no change to the public API or behaviour.

6.3.3 - 2021-02-26

This patch moves some internal code, so that future work can avoid
creating import cycles. There is no user-visible change.

6.3.2 - 2021-02-25

This patch enables register_type_strategy() for subclasses of
typing.TypedDict. Previously, from_type() would ignore the registered
strategy (issue #2872).

Thanks to Ilya Lebedev for identifying and fixing this bug!

6.3.1 - 2021-02-24

This release lays the groundwork for automatic rewriting of simple
filters, for example converting integers().filter(lambda x: x > 9)
to integers(min_value=10).

Note that this is not supported yet, and we will continue to
recommend writing the efficient form directly wherever possible -
predicate rewriting is provided mainly for the benefit of downstream
libraries which would otherwise have to implement it for themselves
(e.g. pandera and icontract-hypothesis). See issue #2701 for details.

6.3.0 - 2021-02-20

The Hypothesis pytest plugin now requires pytest version 4.6 or
later. If the plugin detects an earlier version of pytest, it will
automatically deactivate itself.

(4.6.x is the earliest pytest branch that still accepts community
bugfixes.)

Hypothesis-based tests should continue to work in earlier versions
of pytest, but enhanced integrations provided by the plugin (such
as --hypothesis-show-statistics and other command-line flags) will
no longer be available in obsolete pytest versions.

xkbcomp: update to 1.4.5.

No exciting changes here. If anything, this release is less exciting than
previous versions.

The default keymaps now all ship with high keycodes which the server won't
support and and they also include keycodes that aren't mapped to any
keysyms. So screaming multiple warnings at every user on every keymap
compile about this is rather pointless and generates unwanted bugs.

These blood-curdling, adrenaline-laden warnings have been downgraded to mere
informational messages. And we all know no-one reads those.

Peter Hutterer (7):
      Remove trailing whitespaces
gitlab CI: add basic build test
Replace WARN[1-9], ERROR[1-9], etc. with their unnumbered version
Downgrade the warning for missing symbols to info
keycodes: downgrade the >255 keycode warning to an info
keycodes: compress the high keycode warning
      xkbcomp 1.4.5

emulators/cannonball: Updates to 0.31

Changes since 0.3.2019102:

Maintenance Release

This release focuses on upgrading the libraries and compilation tools CannonBall
uses, as I hadn't maintained the codebase in a number of years. Most of these
changes will be invisible to most users. Right now, I'm trying to get the house
in order as opposed to add lots of wild new features! :)

  * [audio] Audio updates at the correct rate and resolves the longstanding
issue with music and sound being very slightly 'off'
  * [roms] ROMs are now read by CRC 32 value. Filenames no longer matter - so
long as they are present they can be renamed to anything.
  * [roms] Fixed expected Z80 rom file length
  * [controls] Start Button behaviour less 'sticky' and buggy
  * [controls] Analog axis for accelerate and brake can now be configured via
    the in-built menu system
  * [menu] Reduced delay when scrolling through menu with analog controls
  * [config] ROMs and save data can be relocated to separate locations
  * [bug fix] Time Trial mode no longer crashes if used as the first mode played
  * [timing] Code tries to use V-Sync for timing OR internal timing, as opposed
    to both at once
  * [source] SDL 2 used by default. SDL 1 removed from codebase. This appears to
have fixed compatibility bugs for some people
  * [source] Added compatibility for upcoming SmartyPi hardware (Pi 4 based) to
    run on original arcade hardware
  * [source] A general clean-up in many areas

doc: Updated net/tor to 0.4.5.7

(wiz)

2021-03-16 16:25:21 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

tor: update to 0.4.5.7.

Tor 0.4.5.7 fixes two important denial-of-service bugs in earlier
  versions of Tor.

One of these vulnerabilities (TROVE-2021-001) would allow an attacker
who can send directory data to a Tor instance to force that Tor
instance to consume huge amounts of CPU. This is easiest to exploit
against authorities, since anybody can upload to them, but directory
caches could also exploit this vulnerability against relays or clients
when they download. The other vulnerability (TROVE-2021-002) only
affects directory authorities, and would allow an attacker to remotely
crash the authority with an assertion failure. Patches have already
been provided to the authority operators, to help ensure
  network stability.

We recommend that everybody upgrade to one of the releases that fixes
these issues (0.3.5.14, 0.4.4.8, or 0.4.5.7) as they become available
  to you.

This release also updates our GeoIP data source, and fixes a few
  smaller bugs in earlier releases.

o Major bugfixes (security, denial of service):
    - Disable the dump_desc() function that we used to dump unparseable
information to disk. It was called incorrectly in several places,
      in a way that could lead to excessive CPU usage. Fixes bug 40286;
bugfix on 0.2.2.1-alpha. This bug is also tracked as TROVE-2021-
      001 and CVE-2021-28089.
    - Fix a bug in appending detached signatures to a pending consensus
document that could be used to crash a directory authority. Fixes
bug 40316; bugfix on 0.2.2.6-alpha. Tracked as TROVE-2021-002
      and CVE-2021-28090.

  o Minor features (geoip data):
    - We have switched geoip data sources. Previously we shipped IP-to-
country mappings from Maxmind's GeoLite2, but in 2019 they changed
their licensing terms, so we were unable to update them after that
point. We now ship geoip files based on the IPFire Location
Database instead. (See https://location.ipfire.org/ for more
information). This release updates our geoip files to match the
IPFire Location Database as retrieved on 2021/03/12. Closes
      ticket 40224.

  o Minor bugfixes (directory authority):
    - Now that exit relays don't allow exit connections to directory
authority DirPorts (to prevent network reentry), disable
authorities' reachability self test on the DirPort. Fixes bug
      40287; bugfix on 0.4.5.5-rc.

  o Minor bugfixes (documentation):
    - Fix a formatting error in the documentation for
      VirtualAddrNetworkIPv6. Fixes bug 40256; bugfix on 0.2.9.4-alpha.

  o Minor bugfixes (Linux, relay):
    - Fix a bug in determining total available system memory that would
have been triggered if the format of Linux's /proc/meminfo file
had ever changed to include "MemTotal:" in the middle of a line.
Fixes bug 40315; bugfix on 0.2.5.4-alpha.

  o Minor bugfixes (metrics port):
    - Fix a BUG() warning on the MetricsPort for an internal missing
handler. Fixes bug 40295; bugfix on 0.4.5.1-alpha.

  o Minor bugfixes (onion service):
    - Remove a harmless BUG() warning when reloading tor configured with
onion services. Fixes bug 40334; bugfix on 0.4.5.1-alpha.

  o Minor bugfixes (portability):
    - Fix a non-portable usage of "==" with "test" in the configure
script. Fixes bug 40298; bugfix on 0.4.5.1-alpha.

  o Minor bugfixes (relay):
    - Remove a spammy log notice falsely claiming that the IPv4/v6
address was missing. Fixes bug 40300; bugfix on 0.4.5.1-alpha.
    - Do not query the address cache early in the boot process when
deciding if a relay needs to fetch early directory information
from an authority. This bug resulted in a relay falsely believing
it didn't have an address and thus triggering an authority fetch
at each boot. Related to our fix for 40300.

  o Removed features (mallinfo deprecated):
    - Remove mallinfo() usage entirely. Libc 2.33+ now deprecates it.
      Closes ticket 40309.

ansible-base: updated to 2.10.7

v2.10.7

Minor Changes
-------------
- ansible-test - Generation of an ``egg-info`` directory, if needed, is now done after installing test dependencies and before running tests. When running from an installed version of ``ansible-test`` a temporary directory is used to avoid permissions issues. Previously it was done before installing test dependencies and adjacent to the installed directory.
- ansible-test - now makes a better attempt to support podman when calling ``docker images`` and asking for JSON format.

Bugfixes
--------
- ConfigManager - Normalize ConfigParser between Python2 and Python3 to for handling comments (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/73709)
- InventoryManager - Fix unhandled exception when given limit file was actually a directory.
- InventoryManager - Fix unhandled exception when inventory directory was empty or contained empty subdirectories (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/73658).
- add AlmaLinux to fact gathering (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/pull/73458)
- ansible-galaxy - fixed galaxy role init command (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/71977).
- ansible-inventory CLI - Deal with failures when sorting JSON and you have incompatible key types (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/68950).
- ansible-test - Running tests using an installed version of ``ansible-test`` against one Python version from another no longer fails due to a missing ``egg-info`` directory. This could occur when testing plugins which import ``pkg_resources``.
- ansible-test - Running tests using an installed version of ``ansible-test`` no longer generates an error attempting to create an ``egg-info`` directory when an existing one is not found in the expected location. This could occur if the existing ``egg-info`` directory included a Python version specifier in the name.
- default callback - Ensure that the ``host_pinned`` strategy is not treated as lockstep (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/73364)
- ensure find_mount_point consistently returns text.
- ensure we don't clobber role vars data when getting an empty file
- find module - Stop traversing directories past the requested depth. (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/73627)
- hostname - add Almalinux support (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/pull/73619)
- runtime routing - redirect ``firewalld`` to ``ansible.posix.firewalld`` FQCN (https://github.com/ansible/ansible/issues/73689).
- the unvault lookup plugin returned a byte string. Now returns a real string.
- yamllint - do not raise an ``AttributeError`` if a value is assigned to a module attribute at the top of the module.

net/iperf2: Add version 2.0.13

As discussed on pksrc-users@, this is the currently-maintained, more
or less, continuation fork of an older fork (in net/iperf) that is not
maintained.  It's net/iperf2 to avoid misleading users looking for
"iperf" into thinking that it is the normal approach.

Relative to net/iperf, this update drops a patch deleting upstream's
ad hoc definition of bool, because it fails to build on NetBSD with
that modification.

Iperf is a tool for measuring TCP and UDP bandwidth performance.
It reports bandwidth, delay jitter, datagram loss. It also supports
IPv6 and IP Multicast.

This version is a continuation fork of an older continuation fork of
the original code.  The original code and the first continuation fork
are no longer maintained.  See also net/iperf3.

sysutils/bup: Update to 0.32

(This commit message rides a trivial comment change, and is what
should have been on the 0.32 update earlier.  Thanks again to wiz who
amazingly reads all the commit messages carefully.)

Notable changes in 0.32 since 0.31)
===================================

* Python 3 is now preferred.  Python 2 support is deprecated, and it's
possible that we'll stop new development for Python 2 fairly soon.
If so, we'll probably continue to fix bugs in the last Python 2
compatible version for a while, but please make plans to migrate.

At the moment, ./configure doesn't explicitly look for any python
newer than python3.8 by default (though one might be selected by the
eventual python3 fallback).  If desired, you can explicitly select a
  version like this:

      PYTHON=python3.9 ./configure

* With Python 3.9, the command line reported in tools like `ps` and
`top` will be `python...` rather than `bup...`.  This was caused by
an upstream change that appears to have been reverted.  We're likely
to avoid the issue entirely in a future relese.

Bugs
----

* A number of Python 3 compatibility problems have been fixed.

* `bup web` should no longer crash when attempting to listen on IPV6
  interfaces.

* `bup restore -vv` should no longer crash when printing paths with
  Python 3.

* `bup --prune-older --pretend` should format the plus/minus lines
  correctly now.

* The `TTY_WIDTH` should now be correctly propagated to subprocesses
  and remotes..

* Errors encountered while writing packfiles should be handled more
  carefully.

* Some issues with the handling of integral type signs and sizes on
the C side have been fixed.

Build and install
-----------------

* The tests are now handled by pytest.  See the
  [README](../README#getting-started) for the additional dependency
  information and further instructions.

sqlite3: updated to 3.35.0

SQLite Release 3.35.0 On 2021-03-12

Added built-in SQL math functions(). (Requires the -DSQLITE_ENABLE_MATH_FUNCTIONS compile-time option.)
Added support for ALTER TABLE DROP COLUMN.
Generalize UPSERT:
Allow multiple ON CONFLICT clauses that are evaluated in order,
The final ON CONFLICT clause may omit the conflict target and yet still use DO UPDATE.
Add support for the RETURNING clause on DELETE, INSERT, and UPDATE statements.
Use less memory when running VACUUM on databases containing very large TEXT or BLOB values. It is no longer necessary to hold the entire TEXT or BLOB in memory all at once.
Add support for the MATERIALIZED and NOT MATERIALIZED hints when specifying common table expressions. The default behavior was formerly NOT MATERIALIZED, but is now changed to MATERIALIZED for CTEs that are used more than once.
The SQLITE_DBCONFIG_ENABLE_TRIGGER and SQLITE_DBCONFIG_ENABLE_VIEW settings are modified so that they only control triggers and views in the main database schema or in attached database schemas and not in the TEMP schema. TEMP triggers and views are always allowed.
Query planner/optimizer improvements:
Enhancements to the min/max optimization so that it works better with the IN operator and the OP_SeekScan optimization of the previous release.
Attempt to process EXISTS operators in the WHERE clause as if they were IN operators, in cases where this is a valid transformation and seems likely to improve performance.
Allow UNION ALL sub-queries to be flattened even if the parent query is a join.
Use an index, if appropriate, on IS NOT NULL expressions in the WHERE clause, even if STAT4 is disabled.
Expressions of the form "x IS NULL" or "x IS NOT NULL" might be converted to simply FALSE or TRUE, if "x" is a column that has a "NOT NULL" constraint and is not involved in an outer join.
Avoid checking foreign key constraints on an UPDATE statement if the UPDATE does not modify any columns associated with the foreign key.
Allow WHERE terms to be pushed down into sub-queries that contain window functions, as long as the WHERE term is made up of entirely of constants and copies of expressions found in the PARTITION BY clauses of all window functions in the sub-query.
CLI enhancements:
Enhance the ".stats" command to accept new arguments "stmt" and "vmstep", causing prepare statement statistics and only the virtual-machine step count to be shown, respectively.
Add the ".filectrl data_version" command.
Enhance the ".once" and ".output" commands so that if the destination argument begins with "|" (indicating that output is redirected into a pipe) then the argument does not need to be quoted.
Bug fixes:
Fix a potential NULL pointer dereference when processing a syntactically incorrect SELECT statement with a correlated WHERE clause and a "HAVING 0" clause. (Also fixed in the 3.34.1 patch release.)
Fix a bug in the IN-operator optimization of version 3.33.0 that can cause an incorrect answer.
Fix incorrect answers from the LIKE operator if the pattern ends with "%" and there is an "ESCAPE '_'" clause.

Update chat/matrix-synapse to 1.29.0

Synapse 1.29.0 (2021-03-08)
===========================

Note that synapse now expects an `X-Forwarded-Proto` header when used with a reverse proxy. Please see [UPGRADE.rst](UPGRADE.rst#upgrading-to-v1290) for more details on this change.

No significant changes.

Synapse 1.29.0rc1 (2021-03-04)
==============================

Features
--------

- Add rate limiters to cross-user key sharing requests. ([\#8957](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/8957))
- Add `order_by` to the admin API `GET /_synapse/admin/v1/users/<user_id>/media`. Contributed by @dklimpel. ([\#8978](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/8978))
- Add some configuration settings to make users' profile data more private. ([\#9203](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9203))
- The `no_proxy` and `NO_PROXY` environment variables are now respected in proxied HTTP clients with the lowercase form taking precedence if both are present. Additionally, the lowercase `https_proxy` environment variable is now respected in proxied HTTP clients on top of existing support for the uppercase `HTTPS_PROXY` form and takes precedence if both are present. Contributed by Timothy Leung. ([\#9372](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9372))
- Add a configuration option, `user_directory.prefer_local_users`, which when enabled will make it more likely for users on the same server as you to appear above other users. ([\#9383](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9383), [\#9385](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9385))
- Add support for regenerating thumbnails if they have been deleted but the original image is still stored. ([\#9438](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9438))
- Add support for `X-Forwarded-Proto` header when using a reverse proxy. ([\#9472](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9472), [\#9501](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9501), [\#9512](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9512), [\#9539](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9539))

Bugfixes
--------

- Fix a bug where users' pushers were not all deleted when they deactivated their account. ([\#9285](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9285), [\#9516](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9516))
- Fix a bug where a lot of unnecessary presence updates were sent when joining a room. ([\#9402](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9402))
- Fix a bug that caused multiple calls to the experimental `shared_rooms` endpoint to return stale results. ([\#9416](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9416))
- Fix a bug in single sign-on which could cause a "No session cookie found" error. ([\#9436](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9436))
- Fix bug introduced in v1.27.0 where allowing a user to choose their own username when logging in via single sign-on did not work unless an `idp_icon` was defined. ([\#9440](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9440))
- Fix a bug introduced in v1.26.0 where some sequences were not properly configured when running `synapse_port_db`. ([\#9449](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9449))
- Fix deleting pushers when using sharded pushers. ([\#9465](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9465), [\#9466](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9466), [\#9479](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9479), [\#9536](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9536))
- Fix missing startup checks for the consistency of certain PostgreSQL sequences. ([\#9470](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9470))
- Fix a long-standing bug where the media repository could leak file descriptors while previewing media. ([\#9497](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9497))
- Properly purge the event chain cover index when purging history. ([\#9498](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9498))
- Fix missing chain cover index due to a schema delta not being applied correctly. Only affected servers that ran development versions. ([\#9503](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9503))
- Fix a bug introduced in v1.25.0 where `/_synapse/admin/join/` would fail when given a room alias. ([\#9506](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9506))
- Prevent presence background jobs from running when presence is disabled. ([\#9530](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9530))
- Fix rare edge case that caused a background update to fail if the server had rejected an event that had duplicate auth events. ([\#9537](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9537))

Improved Documentation
----------------------

- Update the example systemd config to propagate reloads to individual units. ([\#9463](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9463))

- Remove vestiges of `uploads_path` configuration setting. ([\#9462](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9462))
- Add a comment about systemd-python. ([\#9464](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9464))
- Test that we require validated email for email pushers. ([\#9496](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9496))
- Allow python to generate bytecode for synapse. ([\#9502](https://github.com/matrix-org/synapse/issues/9502))

sfeed: Update to 0.9.22

Changes:
0.9.22
------
* Fix a time parsing regression with the non-standard date format
  "2021-02-03 05:13:03" (without T). This non-standard format is now
  supported again.
* Fix/improve/refactor URI parsing and formatting. This now supports
non-authoritive URI like "magnet:" links. local file URIs like file:/// are
now also allowed (of course the user should be careful with file:/// URLs).
This now follows the RFC standard more closely (but not completely):
  https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3986
* sfeed_update: just pass the feedurl directly as the base URL. This simplifies
the code and allows for more correct transformation of relative URLs. Note
though that feeds should not contain relative URLs though.
* sfeed_update: add an overridable parse() function, using sfeed(1) by default
This can be useful to more cleanly make connector scripts.
* sfeed_update: restructure the code and allow to more easily reuse parts of
the functions by including the script. Add an example script in the README
to allow more efficient parallel execution using the non-POSIX xargs -P
  option.
* Documentation improvements: add examples, typo fixes, mandoc (lint) errors,
  etc.
