2020-02-13 10:10:47 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

audio/fasttracker2: Update to v1.09

Changes since v1.08:

v1.09 - 12.02.2020
- Fix: If a corrupt .XM doesn't contain all the sample data at the end of the
  file, try to load what is left instead of showing an "Out of memory!" message.
- Fix: Prevent upscaling factors higher than 2x on ARM devices. Fixes extreme
  slowdowns on Raspberry Pi 4 with 2k or higher resolution screens.
- The .MOD importer has been slightly improved for oldschool 15-sample formats
- The .S3M importer has been slightly improved for certain effect cases not
  compatible with FT2.
- Audio mixer: Internal voice volumes are now calculated with 256 times higher
  precision than FT2. Some other changes were also made to make sure the audio
  mixing is always done at max precision regardless of the "amp" setting in
  the config screen. These are changes that most people won't ever be able to
  hear, but the speed performance of the mixer is still the same, so why not.
- The audio dithering routine has now been improved (rectangular->triangular),
  and it's now enabled by default on a fresh configuration, or if you reset it.

firefox: Update to 73.0

Changelog:
New
    Today's Firefox release includes two features that help users
    view and read website content more easily, quickly. Like all
    accessibility improvements, these features improve browsing
    for everyone.

Firefox has offered a page zoom feature for more than a
decade that allows users to set the zoom level on a per-site
basis. For users who need to zoom most websites, having to
adjust zoom for each new site can be an annoyance. To
address this, we have implemented a new global default zoom
level setting. This option is available in about:preferences
under "Language and Appearance" and can be scaled up or
down from 100% as needed and sets the default zoom level
for all sites. Per-site zoom is still available to make
adjustments to individual sites as needed.

Many users with low vision rely on Windows' High Contrast
Mode to make websites more readable. Traditionally, to
increase the readability of text, Firefox has disabled
background images when High Contrast Mode is enabled. With
today's release of Firefox 73, we introduce a "readability
backplate" solution which places a block of background
color between the text and background image. Now, websites
in High Contrast Mode are more readable without disabling
background images.

Fixed
    Various security fixes.

    Improved audio quality when playing back audio at a faster or
    slower speed.

    Firefox will now only prompt you to save logins if a field in
    a login form was modified.

Changed
    WebRender will roll out to laptops with Nvidia graphics cards
    with drivers newer than 432.00, and screen sizes smaller than
    1920x1200

Security fixes:
#CVE-2020-6796: Missing bounds check on shared memory read in the parent process
#CVE-2020-6797: Extensions granted downloads.open permission could open arbitrary applications on Mac OSX
#CVE-2020-6798: Incorrect parsing of template tag could result in JavaScript injection
#CVE-2020-6799: Arbitrary code execution when opening pdf links from other applications, when Firefox is configured as default pdf reader
#CVE-2020-6800: Memory safety bugs fixed in Firefox 73 and Firefox ESR 68.5

converters/bdf2sfd: import bdf2sfd-1.1.0.

bdf2sfd is a BDF to SFD converter, allowing to vectorize bitmap fonts.

It works by converting each pixel of a glyph to a polygon, which produces
large and unoptimized SFD files that should be post-processed using FontForge.

audio/din: Updates to 44.0.2

Changes since 43.0.1:

DIN Is Noise 44 @ Chennai, India

!+! new noise generator in DIN Is Noise!
+ using drone UI
+ choose if a drone drones a pitch or makes noise
+ Menu > Drone Tools > Drone is Drone OR Drone is Noise
+ OR SHIFT + q
+ when a drone makes noise:
+ a low frequency 'drone' makes low frequency noise
+ a high frequency 'drone' makes high frequency noise
+ manipulate drones ie move, modulate, launch, orbit to
manipulate noises!
+ choose Menu > Editors > Noise Interpolator to
+ edit the noise sample interpolator curve

+ use drone pendulum's parameters to turn rows and/or columns
of a drone mesh into drone pendulums! :)
+ works best when you make all drones of the mesh at the same time
+ so set In seconds to 0
+ and make drones in:
+ ascending or descending rows
+ ascending or descending columns
+ apply to AM BPM and/or FM BPM to turn rows and/or columns of drone
mesh as drone pendulums!

+ flip button to flip start/end bpm of drones in drone pendulum

+ harmonic bookmarks on Sine Mixer
+ click on + to bookmark selected harmonics
+ click on - to delete selected bookmarks
+ click on x to delete all bookmarks
+ click bookmark to select harmonics linked to it
+ SHIFT click to select more bookmarks

+ DIN switches menu to:
+ Drone Params when drones selected
+ Voice when Voice is enabled
+ Ranges when a range is selected

+ new microtonal keyboard shortcuts:
+ SHIFT + f selects range under cursor
+ CTRL + f to switch between change note to note and change note by octave
+ CTRL + v to change both notes (to another note or by octave) of current range
+ CTRL + g to change left note (to another note or by octave) of current range
+ CTRL + h to change right note (to another note or by octave) of current range
+ SHIFT + b to change height of current range
+ CTRL + b to change height of entire microtonal keyboard

+ rearranged menu items on Drone Params
+ brought drone AM depth and FM depth together
+ brought drone AM BPM and FM BPM together
+ moved Rotate and Scale drones to Drone Params tab from Drone Tools tab

+ new ~ checkbutton on all spinners to toggle random increment
+ click > on spinner to edit random increment
+ in field after ~ label
+ default is -100% to 100% of steady increment ie value in +- field

+ press ESC to abort active octave shift on current instrument

+ press g to toggle draw cursor guide on curve editors
+ useful for aligning curve components
+ activate with keyboard shortcut only, may appear on menu in future

* improved turn and speed ball operator on Mondrian
+ using new noise / random algorithm!

* improved bezier curve generation

* improved expression evaluation in numeric fields

* improved warper default curves

* improved waveforms library

! fixed bug: DIN may crash when deleting a vertex of curve that has point modulation !
! fixed bug: make absolute values of a binaural pair available for editing
when selection changed from multiple pairs to one pair. !
! fixed bug: num pad + and - to change slit size on Mondrian !
! fixed bug: non decaying notes when ball volume < 0 on Mondrian !
! fixed bug: in display of Selected Range number on Microtonal Keyboard!
! fixed bug: reposition drones when left note of first range, right note of last range changed !
! fixed bug: in 2600 patch !
! fixed typo: paris instead of pairs in binaural drones instrument !

postfix: update to 3.4.9

upstream changes:
-----------------
Fixed in all supported stable releases:

    Bug (introduced: Postfix 3.1): smtp_dns_resolver_options were broken while adding support for negative DNS response caching in postscreen. Postfix was inadvertently changed to call res_query() instead of res_search(). Reported by Jaroslav Skarvada.

    Bug (introduced: Postfix 2.5): Postfix ignored the CONNECT macro overrides from a Milter application. Postfix now evaluates the Milter macros for an SMTP CONNECT event after the Postfix-to-Milter connection is negotiated. Problem reported by David B端rgin.

    Bug (introduced: Postfix 3.0): sanitize (remote) server responses before storing them in the verify database, to avoid Postfix warnings about malformed UTF8. Found during code maintenance.

textproc/ruby-inifile: add version 3.0.0 package

Add ruby-inifile version 3.0.0 package required by new ruby-train-core.

This is a native Ruby package for reading and writing INI files.

Description
-----------

Although made popular by Windows, INI files can be used on any system thanks
to their flexibility. They allow a program to store configuration data, which
can then be easily parsed and changed. Two notable systems that use the INI
format are Samba and Trac.

More information about INI files can be found on the
[Wikipedia Page](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INI_file).

Update bash 5.0 from patch level 11 to patch level 16

New patches:
  12: avoid moving back from oldest history entry to invalid data
  13: bug fix for reading history entries with timestamps
  14: fix emacs C-xC-e binding so it doesn't edit previous line
      if the current one is empty
  15: weird aliasing bug with aliases in bash -c command line fixed.
  16: earlier clean up of /dev/fd fds used in process substitutions.

doc: Updated emulators/mame to 0.218

(wiz)

2020-02-11 06:36:16 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

mame: update to 0.218.

It窶冱 time for MAME 0.218, the first MAME release of 2020! We窶况e
added a couple of very interesting alternate versions of systems
this month. One is a location test version of NMK窶冱 GunNail, with
different stage order, wider player shot patterns, a larger player
hitbox, and lots of other differences from the final release. The
other is The Last Apostle Puppetshow, an incredibly rare export
version of Home Data窶冱 Reikai Doushi. Also significant is a newer
version Valadon Automation窶冱 Super Bagman. There窶冱 been enough
progress made on Konami窶冱 medal games for a number of them to be
considered working, including Buttobi Striker, Dam Dam Boy, Korokoro
Pensuke, Shuriken Boy and Yu-Gi-Oh Monster Capsule. Don窶冲 expect
too much in terms of gameplay though 窶 they窶决e essentially gambling
games for children.

There are several major computer emulation advances in this release,
in completely different areas. Possibly most exciting is the ability
to install and run Windows NT on the MIPS Magnum R4000 窶廱azz窶
workstation, with working networking. With the assistance of Ash
Wolf, MAME now emulates the Psion Series 5mx PDA. Psion窶冱 EPOC32
operating system is the direct ancestor of the Symbian operating
system, that powered a generation of smartphones. IDE and SCSI hard
disk support for Acorn 8-bit systems has been added, the latter
being one of the components of the BBC Domesday Project system. In
PC emulation, Windows 3.1 is now usable with S3 ViRGE accelerated
2D video drivers. F.Ulivi has contributed microcode-level emulation
of the iSBC-202 floppy controller for the Intel Intellec MDS-II
system, adding 8" floppy disk support.

Of course there are plenty of other improvements and additions,
including re-dumps of all the incorrectly dumped GameKing cartridges,
disassemblers for PACE, WE32100 and 窶彝ipFire窶 88000, better Geneve
9640 emulation, and plenty of working software list additions.

edits (Damerau-Levenshtein, Hamming, Levenshtein, optimal sting
alignment), qgrams (q- gram, cosine, jaccard distance) or heuristic
metrics (Jaro, Jaro-Winkler). An implementation of soundex is provided
as well. Distances can be computed between character vectors while
taking proper care of encoding or between integer vectors representing
generic sequences. This package is built for speed and runs in
parallel by using 'openMP'. An API for C or C++ is exposed as well.

ninja-build: Update to 1.10.0

Changelog:
we'd like to release 1.10 from current master.

The big new feature will be the new dyndep binding to support
Fortran and C++20 modules: https://github.com/ninja-build/ninja/pull/1521

Also there are three new tools:

cleandead: https://github.com/ninja-build/ninja/pull/1432
restat: https://github.com/ninja-build/ninja/pull/1685
rules: https://github.com/ninja-build/ninja/pull/1025 (this one
actually existed in older versions of Ninja and is now back)

Ninja itself can now also be built with CMake. For the release this
will be done automatically by GitHub Actions, uploading the binary
archives automatically and thus making the whole process a lot
easier. If you want to test those binaries, check out:

* Add "lto" PLIST variable, supported by and used on Linux
* Move the setting of CONFIG_BIGNUM to the pkg Makefile instead of

  Log Message:
  Update to sudo 1.8.30beta3

  * Portability fixes from pkgsrc have been merged upstream

  * Add runas_check_shell flag to require a runas user to have a valid
    shell. Not enabled by default.

  * Add a new flag "allow_unknown_runas_id" to control matching of unknown
    IDs. Previous, sudo would always allow unknown user or group IDs if
    the sudoers entry permitted it. This included the "ALL" alias. With
    this change, the admin must explicitly enable support for unknown IDs.

  * Transparently handle the "sudo sudoedit" problem. Some admin are
    confused about how to give users sudoedit permission and many users
    try to run sudoedit via sudo instead of directly. If the user runs
    "sudo sudoedit" sudo will now treat it as plain "sudoedit" after
    issuing a warning. If the admin has specified a fully-qualified path
    for sudoedit in sudoers, sudo will treat it as just "sudoedit" and
    match accordingly. In visudo (but not sudo), a fully-qualified path
    for sudoedit is now treated as an error.

  * When restoring old resource limits, try to recover if we receive
    EINVAL. On NetBSD, setrlimit(2) can return EINVAL if the new soft
    limit is lower than the current resource usage. This can be a problem
    when restoring the old stack limit if sudo has raised it.

  * Restore resource limits before executing the askpass program. Linux
    with docker seems to have issues executing a program when the stack
    size is unlimited. Bug #908

  * macOS does not allow rlim_cur to be set to RLIM_INFINITY for
    RLIMIT_NOFILE. We need to use OPEN_MAX instead as per the macOS
    setrlimit manual. Bug #904

  * Use 64-bit resource limits on AIX.

  Log Message:
  Update to sudo 1.8.31

  What's new:

  * Fixed CVE-2019-18634, a buffer overflow when the "pwfeedback"
    sudoers option is enabled on systems with uni-directional pipes.

  * The "sudoedit_checkdir" option now treats a user-owned directory
    as writable, even if it does not have the write bit set at the
    time of check.  Symbolic links will no longer be followed by
    sudoedit in any user-owned directory.  Bug #912

  * Fixed sudoedit on macOS 10.15 and above where the root file system
    is mounted read-only.  Bug #913.

  * Fixed a crash introduced in sudo 1.8.30 when suspending sudo
    at the password prompt.  Bug #914.

  * Fixed compilation on systems where the mmap MAP_ANON flag
    is not available.  Bug #915.

doc/guide: don't suggest patch files against /dev/null

These patches would be much harder to edit and read than ordinary files.
Also recommend to copy these files in post-extract instead of
pre-configure, since extract is used for putting all files in place.

doc: Updated devel/py-mercurial to 5.3

(wiz)

2020-02-09 14:59:08 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

py-mercurial: update to 5.3.

== New Features ==

* Windows will process hgrc files in %PROGRAMDATA%\Mercurial\hgrc.d.

== Bug Fixes  ==

* The `indent()` template function was documented to not indent empty lines,
  but it still indented the first line even if it was empty. It no longer does
  that.

== Internal API Changes ==

* Matcher instances no longer have a `explicitdir` property. Consider
  rewriting your code to use `repo.wvfs.isdir()` and/or
  `ctx.hasdir()` instead. Also, the `traversedir` property is now
  also called when only `explicitdir` used to be called. That may
  mean that you can simply remove the use of `explicitdir` if you
  were already using `traversedir`.

* The `revlog.nodemap` object have been merged into the `revlog.index` object.
  * `n in revlog.nodemap` becomes `revlog.index.has_node(n)`,
  * `revlog.nodemap[n]` becomes `revlog.index.rev(n)`,
  * `revlog.nodemap.get(n)` becomes `revlog.index.get_rev(n)`.

* `copies.duplicatecopies()` was renamed to
  `copies.graftcopies()`. Its arguments changed from revision numbers
  to context objects. It also lost its `repo` and `skip` arguments
  (they should no longer be needed).

Fix -Wdeprecated-copy warnings

New gcc complains when you're using the default defined operator= but
your class has an explicitely defined copy constructor.

This is because if you implemented the copy constructor is usually
because you needed something special, so you'll need that special in the
assignment operator.

In the cases here it's not really a problem since the explicitely
defined constructors where just doing the same as the default so i've
just marked them as default as well as the assignment operator

Example:

CDRParser.cpp: In member function ‘void libcdr::CDRParser::readFont(librevenge::RVNGInputStream*, unsigned int)’:
CDRParser.cpp:2550:53: warning: implicitly-declared ‘libcdr::CDRFont& libcdr::CDRFont::operator=(const libcdr::CDRFont&)’ is deprecated [-Wdeprecated-copy]
2550 |    m_fonts[fontId] = CDRFont(fontName, fontEncoding);
      |                                                    ^
In file included from CDRParser.h:18,
                from CDRParser.cpp:10:
CDRTypes.h:372:3: note: because ‘libcdr::CDRFont’ has user-provided ‘libcdr::CDRFont::CDRFont(const libcdr::CDRFont&)’

gnutls: update to 3.6.12.

* Version 3.6.12 (released 2020-02-01)

** libgnutls: Introduced TLS session flag (gnutls_session_get_flags())
  to identify sessions that client request OCSP status request (#829).

** libgnutls: Added support for X448 key exchange (RFC 7748) and Ed448
  signature algorithm (RFC 8032) under TLS (#86).

** libgnutls: Added the default-priority-string option to system configuration;
  it allows overriding the compiled-in default-priority-string.

** libgnutls: Added support for GOST CNT_IMIT ciphersuite (as defined by
  draft-smyshlyaev-tls12-gost-suites-07).
  By default this ciphersuite is disabled. It can be enabled by adding
  +GOST to priority string. In the future this priority string may enable
  other GOST ciphersuites as well.  Note, that server will fail to negotiate
  GOST ciphersuites if TLS 1.3 is enabled both on a server and a client. It
  is recommended for now to disable TLS 1.3 in setups where GOST ciphersuites
  are enabled on GnuTLS-based servers.

** libgnutls: added priority shortcuts for different GOST categories like
  CIPHER-GOST-ALL, MAC-GOST-ALL, KX-GOST-ALL, SIGN-GOST-ALL, GROUP-GOST-ALL.

** libgnutls: Reject certificates with invalid time fields. That is we reject
  certificates with invalid characters in Time fields, or invalid time formatting
  To continue accepting the invalid form compile with --disable-strict-der-time
  (#207, #870).

** libgnutls: Reject certificates which contain duplicate extensions. We were
  previously printing warnings when printing such a certificate, but that is
  not always sufficient to flag such certificates as invalid. Instead we now
  refuse to import them (#887).

** libgnutls: If a CA is found in the trusted list, check in addition to
  time validity, whether the algorithms comply to the expected level prior
  to accepting it. This addresses the problem of accepting CAs which would
  have been marked as insecure otherwise (#877).

** libgnutls: The min-verification-profile from system configuration applies
  for all certificate verifications, not only under TLS. The configuration can
  be overriden using the GNUTLS_SYSTEM_PRIORITY_FILE environment variable.

** libgnutls: The stapled OCSP certificate verification adheres to the convention
  used throughout the library of setting the 'GNUTLS_CERT_INVALID' flag.

** libgnutls: On client side only send OCSP staples if they have been requested
  by the server, and on server side always advertise that we support OCSP stapling
  (#876).

** libgnutls: Introduced the gnutls_ocsp_req_const_t which is compatible
  with gnutls_ocsp_req_t but const.

** certtool: Added the --verify-profile option to set a certificate
  verification profile. Use '--verify-profile low' for certificate verification
  to apply the 'NORMAL' verification profile.

** certtool: The add_extension template option is considered even when generating
  a certificate from a certificate request.

** API and ABI modifications:
GNUTLS_SFLAGS_CLI_REQUESTED_OCSP: Added
GNUTLS_SFLAGS_SERV_REQUESTED_OCSP: Added

doc: Updated devel/R-devtools to 2.2.1

(mef)

2020-02-09 12:08:55 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

(devel/R-devtools) Updated to 2.1.0 to 2.2.2
(pkgsrc changes)
- Add three DEPENDS, and add 6 TEST_DEPENDS. But test needs more.

(upstream changes)
# devtools 2.2.1

* New `options("devtools.ellipsis_action")` option added to control the action
  of ellipsis in devtools. This should be one of
  - `rlang::abort` - to emit an error if arguments are unused
  - `rlang::warn` - to emit a warning if arguments are unused
  - `rlang::inform` - to emit a message if arguments are unused
  - `rlang::signal` - to emit a message if arguments are unused
  Using `rlang::signal` will produce no output unless the custom condition is
  caught, so it is the best way to retain backwards compatibility with devtools
  behavior prior to 2.2.0.
  The default behavior was also changed to issue a
  warning rather than an error if any arguments are unused, as there are some
  cases where devtools does not need to install the package, so unused
  arguments are false positives (#2109).

* `install()` now throws an error when it fails, as intended (#2120)

* `install()` now again reloads and re-attaches packages if they were
  previously loaded (#2111).

* `release()` no longer calls the deprecated `dr_devtools()` (#2105)

* `test()` now explicitly passes `stop_on_failure = FALSE` to
  `testthat::test_dir()` (@jameslamb, #2099)

# devtools 2.2.0

## New Features

* `create()` added back, the RStudio IDE uses `create()` in the create packages
  dialog, so removing it in version 2.1.0 broke old versions of the IDE.

* New `dev_sitrep()` function to return information about your development
  environment and diagnose common problems. The former functions
  `dr_devtools()` and `dr_github()` have been deprecated. (#1970)

* All functions taking `...` now use the ellipsis package. This catches errors
  when arguments are misspelled or incorrectly specified (#2016)

## Minor improvements and fixes

* `build_vignettes()` now correctly installs the vignette builder if it is not
  already installed (#2089).

* `dev_sitrep()` now uses the same endpoint to detect the current RStudio
  version as the IDE (#2050).

* `document()` gains a `quiet` parameter, to silence output and `check()` now
  passes its quiet argument to it (#1986).

* Add the DT package as a dependency, so that `test_coverage()` and
  `test_coverage_file()` work without having to install additional packages
  (#2085).

* `check_man()` now succeeds when `tools::undoc()` returns empty results
  (#1944).

* `check_win_*()` functions gain a `email` argument, so temporarily change the
  email the check results will be sent to (#1723).

* `install()` now explicitly unloads packages before trying to install a new
  version (#2094).

* All `install_*()` functions now attach build tools to the PATH, which makes them work on
  Windows when RTools is not on the default PATH (#2093).

* `test_coverage_file()` now works when there is not a 1 to 1 correspondence
  between test and source files (#2011).

* `release()` now works again when `pkg` is not the current working directory
  (#1974).

* `release()` now works without error when `options("repos")` is unnamed (#1956).
* `create()` added, the RStudio IDE uses `create()`, so removing it in version 2.1.0
  broke old versions of the IDE.

* In several places `http:` URLs were used instead of `https:`, the most
  critical being in the `cran_mirror`, `cran_pacakges`, and `cran_submission_url`
  values which could have enabled discrete activity disclosure and person-in-the-middle
  attacks (i.e. changing the contents while uploading/downloading). All `http:`
  URLS have been changed to `https:` URLs. (@hrbrmstr, #2091)

audio/fasttracker2: Update to v1.08

Changes since v1.07:

v1.08 - 08.02.2020
- Critical bugfix: Saved instruments (.xi) would end up being broken!
- Linux bugfix: Loading a song by passing it to the executable's argument from a
  terminal wouldn't work in most cases...
- macOS/Linux bugfix: Don't show ".." directory when you are in root
- Code fix: We don't want our main instrument/sample structs to be packed, only
  the ones used during saving/loading of songs/instruments. This doesn't change
  the behavior of the FT2 clone, but it prevents unaligned pointer access in the
  replayer and other routines.
- Small optimizations to pattern data rendering, those routines are quite slow!
- Updated HOW-TO-COMPILE.txt
