doc: Updated pkgtools/pkglint to 19.3.14

(rillig)

2019-12-08 00:06:38 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

pkgtools/pkglint: update to 19.3.14

Changes since 19.3.13:

When pkglint suggests to replace !empty(VARNAME:Mfixed) with ${VARNAME}
== fixed, the exact suggested expression is now part of the diagnostic.
The check and the autofix have been improved. They now apply only to the
last modifier in the whole chain, everything else was a bug in pkglint.

Pkglint now knows the scope of variables better than before. It knows
the difference between variables from <sys.mk> like MACHINE_ARCH, which
are always in scope, and those from mk/defaults/mk.conf, which only come
into scope later, after bsd.prefs.mk has been included. It warns when
variables are used too early, for example in .if conditions.

The pathnames in ALTERNATIVES files are now checked for absolute
pathnames. This mistake doesn't happen in practice, but the code for
converting the different path types internally made it necessary to add
these checks. At least this prevents typos.

The special check for obsolete licenses has been removed since their
license files have been removed and that is checked as well.

Variables named *_AWK may be appended to.

The variables _PKG_SILENT and _PKG_DEBUG are no longer deprecated, they
are obsolete now. They are not used in main pkgsrc and pkgsrc-wip
anymore.

When a package sets a default value for a user-settable variable (which
is something that should not happen anyway), it should .include
bsd.prefs.mk before, in order to not accidentally overwrite the
user-specified value.

Variable modifiers of the form :from=to are now parsed like in bmake.
They are greedy and eat up any following colons as well. This means that
${VAR:.c=.o:Q} replaces source.c with source.o:Q, instead of quoting it.
Pkglint now warns about such cases.

The handling of relative paths in diagnostics is now consistent. All
paths that are part of a diagnostic are relative to the line that issues
the diagnostic.

Fatal errors are no longer suppressed in --autofix mode.

Plus lots of refactoring, to prevent accidental mixing of incompatible
relative paths.

(bsiegert)

2019-12-07 21:34:18 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Add a package for go113-1.13.5. From wip.

The Go programming language is an open source project to make
programmers more productive.

Go is expressive, concise, clean, and efficient. Its concurrency
mechanisms make it easy to write programs that get the most out of
multicore and networked machines, while its novel type system enables
flexible and modular program construction. Go compiles quickly to
machine code yet has the convenience of garbage collection and the power
of run-time reflection. It's a fast, statically typed, compiled language
that feels like a dynamically typed, interpreted language.

this wants libsndfile bl3, so add it.

now the odd build failures are gone, though because of
pkgsrc wrappers, it was confusing.  "the version i found
in /usr/pkg/lib is too old", except it isn't, it was
missing from the buildlink.  the cmake output had zero
useful information about the problem (zero mention of
'sndfile' in anything but the stdout right before the
failure.)

(adam)

2019-12-07 13:58:08 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

mkvtoolnix: updated to 41.0.0

Version 41.0.0 "Smarra"

New features and enhancements
* mkvmerge: Matroska reader: Vorbis tracks: stream comments (aka Vorbis
comments) will be converted to Matroska attachments (for cover arts) and
Matroska track tags (for other comments). Additionally the stream comments
will be removed from Vorbis headers.
* mkvmerge: MP4 reader: added support for reading Opus audio from MP4
  files.
* mkvmerge: MP4 reader: added support for reading VP9 video from MP4
  files.
* mkvmerge: Ogg reader: Vorbis, Opus & VP8 streams: stream comments (aka
Vorbis comments) will be converted to Matroska attachments (for cover arts)
and Matroska track tags (for other comments). Additionally the stream
comments will be removed from Vorbis headers.
* mkvmerge: WAV reader: added support for reading RF64 files.
* MKVToolNix GUI: multiplexer: the list of predefined track names is now split
up into three lists, one for each track type (audio, video &
  subtitles).
* MKVToolNix GUI: multiplexer: when trying to add thumbnails for a Blu-ray the
GUI will determine the thumbnail's pixel size from the thumbnail files if
the XML file doesn't contain that information. This works for JPEG and PNG
  files.
* MKVToolNix GUI: general: line edits & combo boxes will now have a "clear
text" button appear whenever they're not empty.
* MKVToolNix GUI: update check: the dialog showing the latest news & version
information states explicitly where the links take the user (the MKVToolNix
  `NEWS.md` file and YouTube respectively).

Bug fixes
* mkvmerge: Matroska reader: mkvmerge did not copy the codec's private data
when reading WavPack from Matroska files.
* mkvmerge: MPLS handling: re-added caching when using MPLS playlists as input
  files.
* mkvmerge: MPEG TS reader: when reading an MPLS playlist, the calculation of
the minimum timestamp to use for shifting all output timestamps to zero was
wrong. It was wrongfully considering timestamps from packets it would not
copy due to the MPLS's timestamp restrictions. This could lead to the first
timestamps in the output file being quite large, e.g. more than a couple of
minutes, causing sync problems when multiplexing together with other
  files.
* MKVToolNix GUI: multiplexer: the automatic switch between aspect ratio &
display width/height wasn't reflected in the configuration generated for
`mkvmerge`. The user had to change between the two settings manually
* MKVToolNix GUI: multiplexer: the progress dialog shown when scanning a
Blu-ray wasn't closed properly in certain situations.
* MKVToolNix GUI: general: the configured font was not applied to a lot of
controls (e.g. the file & track lists or the menu entries) on application
startup. Instead the user had to open & close the preferences in order for
the font to be applied to all controls.

fmtlib: updated to 6.1.1

6.1.1:
Fixed shared library build on Windows.
Added a missing decimal point in exponent notation with trailing zeros.
Removed deprecated format_arg_store::TYPES.

6.1.0:
{fmt} now formats IEEE 754 float and double using the shortest decimal representation with correct rounding by default.
Made the fast binary to decimal floating-point formatter the default, simplified it and improved performance. {fmt} is now 15 times faster than libc++'s std::ostringstream, 11 times faster than printf and 10% faster than double-conversion on dtoa-benchmark.
{fmt} no longer converts float arguments to double. In particular this improves the default (shortest) representation of floats and makes fmt::format consistent with std::for.
Made floating-point formatting output consistent with printf/iostreams.
Added support for 128-bit integers.
The overload of print that takes text_style is now atomic, i.e. the output from different threads doesn't interleave.
Made compile time in the header-only mode ~20% faster by reducing the number of template instantiations. wchar_t overload of vprint was moved from fmt/core.h to fmt/format.h.
Added an overload of fmt::join that works with tuples.
Changed formatting of octal zero with prefix from "00" to "0.
The locale is now passed to ostream insertion (<<) operators.
Locale-specific number formatting now uses groupin.
Fixed handling of types with deleted implicit rvalue conversion to const char**.
Enums are now mapped to correct underlying types instead of int.
Enum classes are no longer implicitly converted to int.
Added basic_format_parse_context for consistency with C++20 std::format and deprecated basic_parse_context.
Fixed handling of UTF-8 in precision.
{fmt} can now be installed on Linux, macOS and Windows with Conda using its conda-forge package.
Added a CUDA test.

All of the fixes have been incrementally published on the public Git repository
for the game. A more complete list can be found in the game's sources in
doc/fixes36.3. As usual, a warning that some entries in that file may also be
"spoilers".

As with all releases of the game, we appreciate your feedback. Please submit
any bugs using the problem report form. Also, please check the "known bugs"
list before you log a problem - somebody else may have already found it.

Happy NetHacking!

incompatible with that used by E16, so these themes are only relevant
to E16.)

pkgsrc-specific changes:
- add options for pango, a choice of audio back-end, and font
inclusion (which may not be necessary, depending on the target OS)
- enable more modern X11 features
- note correct license

Addresses PR pkg/52952 by Vicente Chaves.

(Quoting the upstream change log would be excessive here, as there's
been twelve years of development since this package was last updated in
pkgsrc. Those interested should simply look at the package's ChangeLog
file.)

(TBD: this package should probably be renamed to "enlightenment16", to
avoid confusion and conflict with x11/enlightenment. These two packages
should be able to co-exist, if desired. This version continues to be
relevant as it's more lightweight and has fewer dependencies.)

licenses & mk/license.mk: add license for Enlightenment 16

Enlightenment 16 uses a modified (non-standard) MIT license that
includes an advertising clause. (This makes it incompatible with the
GPL.) I've named it enlightenment16 to differentiate that Enlightenment
>=17 releases use the 2-Clause BSD. (Enlightenment 16 continues to be
developed independently, and is of current interest to pkgsrc users.)

In some places, this is referred to as the "MIT With Advertising"
license, but I'm not aware of other projects using this variant. If it
becomes more broadly relevant to pkgsrc, we could rename it such.

(This should have been added a long time ago, the wm/enlightenment
package simply has never had a LICENSE variable set. Better late than
never.)

Not sure of 3.6.11.1's specific changes - possibly fixing an incorrectly

These changes from apply:

* Version 3.6.11 (released 2019-12-01)

** libgnutls: Use KERN_ARND for the system random number generator on NetBSD.
This syscall provides an endless stream of random numbers from the kernel's
ChaCha20-based random number generator, without blocking or requiring an open file
  descriptor.

** libgnutls: Corrected issue with TLS 1.2 session ticket handling as client
  during resumption (#841).

** libgnutls: gnutls_base64_decode2() succeeds decoding the empty string to
the empty string. This is a behavioral change of the API but it conforms
  to the RFC4648 expectations (#834).

** libgnutls: Fixed AES-CFB8 implementation, when input is shorter than
the block size. Fix backported from nettle.

** certtool: CRL distribution points will be set in CA certificates even when
  non self-signed (#765).

** gnutls-cli/serv: added raw public-key handling capabilities (RFC7250).
Key material can be set via the --rawpkkeyfile and --rawpkfile flags.

** API and ABI modifications:
No changes since last version.

2019-12-05 22:56:23 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

dosbox-x: Update to 0.82.24

0.82.24
  - FDC emulation now allows READ command to look for
sector numbers that are out of range in order to
support booter games that read out of range sector
numbers as part of their copy protection.
  - Windows SDL1 window resizing fixed to avoid snapping
and jumping issues when the window is sized down
to the point the menu bar doubles or triples in
height due to menu item wrapping.
  - FDC clear DMA terminal count automatically (with a
warning printed to the log) at beginning of FDC
read/write (PC-98 booter game Star Cruiser).
  - FDC DMA read/write failure now causes FDC to signal
an error, and the debug output will say so.
  - FDC debug output now shows motor bits in the correct
    order, not backwards
  - CONFIG.COM and MIXER.COM are now registered only at
DOS kernel startup, to resolve their disappearance
after RE-DOS or guest system reset.
  - Some OpenGL cleanup and fixes for when compiling for
    Mac OS X Catalina.
  - Shell startup now prints the actual mapper binding
(whatever it is) for the Host key instead of assuming
    F12/F11.
  - "Ro" key in PC-98 mode in the mapper interface now
clarifies that it is Ro / _ since the shift state is
    the underscore.
  - Shell startup code fixed to show F11 for Windows and
F12 for other platforms properly instead of always
    showing F11.
  - Added BOOT option --pc98-graphics to start up with
graphics layer enabled in order to run HDI images
using QMOUSE and games that expect NEC MOUSE.COM
behavior of showing graphics layer on driver init.
  - BOOT now hides graphics layer on startup in PC-98 mode
    to reflect real hardware.
  - INT 33h mouse emulation now enables graphics layer
on mouse startup and INT 33h AX=0 to imitate NEC
MOUSE.COM behavior seen on real PC-98 hardware. This is
needed for some Orange House games that assume this
behavior, without which the graphics are invisible.
  - INT 33h define range functions now include separate
range correction for text mode vs graphics mode.
  - Help sections in Configuration GUI have been improved,
they are now easier to browse and read. (aybe)
  - CONFIG: added description for 'securemode' (aybe).
  - Integer properties are now correctly saved when
they have been changed in configuration GUI (aybe).
  - Some scenarios with command history could display
garbage characters from previous/next command (aybe).
  - Fixed all hard disk images created by IMGMAKE having
    VHD footers. (Allofich)
  - Windows Visual Studio solution: (aybe)
    - cleaned and clarified project properties for projects
    - removed configurations that didn't make sense
    - fixed broken debugging
    - consolidated to use single versions of SDK and IDE
    - enabled faster builds (multi-processor compilation)
    - fixed broken builds, e.g. ARM, ARM64

- imap_sieve_filter: IMAP FILTER Command had various bugs in error
handling. Errors may have been duplicated for each email, errors
may have been missing entirely, command tag and ERRORS/WARNINGS
  parameters were swapped.

2019-12-05 09:34:06 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

dovecot2: updated to 2.3.9

v2.3.9:
* Changed several event field names for consistency and to avoid
  conflicts in parent-child event relationships:
  * SMTP server command events: Renamed "name" to "cmd_name"
  * Events inheriting from a mailbox: Renamed "name" to "mailbox"
  * Server connection events have only "remote_ip", "remote_port",
    "local_ip" and "local_port".
  * Removed duplicate "client_ip", "ip" and "port".
  * Mail storage events: Removed "service" field.
    Use "service:<name>" category instead.
  * HTTP client connection events: Renamed "host" to "dest_host" and
    "port" to "dest_port"
* auth: Drop Postfix socketmap support. It hasn't been working
with recent Postfix versions for a while now.
* push-notification-lua: The "subject" field is now decoded to UTF8
  instead of kept as MIME-encoded.
+ push-notification-lua: Added new "from_address", "from_display_name",
"to_address" and "to_display_name" fields. The display names are
  decoded to UTF8.
+ Added various new fields to existing events.
  See http://doc.dovecot.net/admin_manual/list_of_events.html
+ Add lmtp_add_received_header setting. It can be used to prevent LMTP
  from adding "Received:" headers.
+ doveadm: Support SSL/STARTTLS for proxied doveadm connections based on
doveadm_ssl setting and proxy ssl/tls settings.
+ Log filters support now "service:<name>", which matches all events for
the given service. It can also be used as a category.
+ lib: Use libunwind to get abort backtraces with function names
  where available.
+ lmtp: When the LMTP proxy changes the username (from passdb lookup)
  add an appropriate ORCPT parameter.
- lmtp: Add lmtp_client_workarounds setting to implement workarounds for
clients that send MAIL and RCPT commands with additional spaces before
the path and for clients that omit <> brackets around the path.
  See example-config/conf.d/20-lmtp.conf.
- lda/lmtp: Invalid MAIL FROM addresses were rejcted too aggressively.
Now mails from addresses with unicode characters are delivered, but
their Return-Path header will be <> instead of the given MAIL FROM
  address.
- lmtp: The lmtp_hdr_delivery_address setting is ignored.
- imap: imap_command_finished event's "args" and "human_args" parameters
  were always empty.
- mbox: Seeking in zlib and bzip2 compressed input streams didn't work
  correctly.
- imap-hibernate: Process crashed when client got destroyed while it was
attempted to be unhibernated, and the unhibernation fails.
- *-login: Proxying may have crashed if SSL handshake to the backend
failed immediately. This was unlikely to happen in normal operation.
- *-login: If TLS handshake to upstream server failed during proxying,
login process could crash due to invalid memory access.
- *-login: v2.3 regression: Using SASL authentication without initial
response may have caused SSL connections to hang. This happened often
at least with PHP's IMAP library.
- *-login: When login processes are flooded with authentication attempts
it starts logging errors about "Authentication server sent unknown id".
This is still expected. However, it also caused the login process to
disconnect from auth server and potentially log some user's password
  in the error message.
- dict-sql: SQL prepared statements were not shared between sessions.
This resulted in creating a lot of prepared statements, which was
especially inefficient when using Cassandra backend with a lot of
  Cassandra nodes.
- auth: auth_request_finished event didn't have success=yes parameter
  set for successful authentications.
- auth: userdb dict - Trying to list users crashed.
- submission: Service could be configured to allow anonymous
authentication mechanism and anonymous user access.
- LAYOUT=index: Corrupted dovecot.list.index caused folder creation to
  panic.
- doveadm: HTTP server crashes if request target starts with double "/".
- dsync: Remote dsync started hanging if the initial doveadm
"dsync-server" command was sent in the same TCP packet as the
  following dsync handshake. v2.3.8 regression.
- lib: Several "input streams" had a bug that in some rare situations
might cause it to access freed memory. This could lead to crashes or
  corruption.
The only currently known effect of this is that using zlib plugin with
external mail attachments (mail_attachment_dir) could cause fetching
the mail to return a few bytes of garbage data at the beginning of the
header. Note that the mail wasn't saved corrupted, but fetching it
caused corrupted mail to be sent to the client.
- lib-storage: If a mail only has quoted content, use the quoted text
for generating message snippet (IMAP PREVIEW) instead of returning
  empty snippet.
- lib-storage: When vsize header was rebuilt, newly calculated message
sizes were added to dovecot.index.cache instead of being directly
saved into vsize records in dovecot.index.
- lib: JSON generator was escaping UTF-8 characters unnecessarily.

* 9.1.0: release

2019-11-09  Jay Berkenbilt  <ejb@ql.org>

* 9.1.rc1: release

* Improve behavior of wildcard expansion for msvc executable when
run from the Windows cmd.exe shell. Unlike in UNIX environments,
Windows leaves it up to the executable to expand its own
wildcards. Fixes #224.

* When reading /P from the encryption dictionary, use static_cast
instead of QIntC to convert the value to a signed integer. The
value of /P is a bit field, and PDF files have been found in the
wild where /P is represented as an unsigned integer even though
the spec states that it is a signed 32-bit value. By using
static_cast, we allow qpdf to compensate for writers that
incorrectly represent the correct bit field as an unsigned value.
Fixes #382.

2019-11-05  Jay Berkenbilt  <ejb@ql.org>

* Add support for pluggable crypto providers, enabling multiple
implementations of the cryptographic functions needed by qpdf.
This feature was added by request of Red Hat, which recognized the
use of qpdf's native crypto implementations as a potential
security liability, preferring instead to get all crypto
functionality from a third-party library that receives a lot of
scrutiny. However it was also important to me to not impose any
unnecessary third party dependencies on my users or packagers,
some of which build qpdf for lots of environments, some of which
may not easily support gnutls. Starting in qpdf 9.1.0, it is be
possible to build qpdf with both the native and gnutls crypto
providers or with either in isolation. In support of this feature,
new classes QPDFCryptoProvider and QPDFCryptoImpl have been added
to the public interface. See QPDFCryptoImpl.hh for details about
adding your own crypto provider and QPDFCryptoProvider.hh for
details about choosing which one is used. Note that selection of
crypto providers is invisible to anyone who doesn't explicitly
care. Neither end users nor developers have to be concerned about
it.

* The environment variable QPDF_CRYPTO_PROVIDER can be used to
override qpdf's default choice of crypto provider. The
--show-crypto flag to the qpdf CLI can be used to present a list
of supported crypto providers with the default provider always
listed first.

* Add gnutls crypto provider. Thanks to Zdenek Dohnal for
contributing the code that I ultimately used in the gnutls crypto
provider and for engaging in an extended discussion about this
feature. Fixes #218.

2019-10-22  Jay Berkenbilt  <ejb@ql.org>

* Incorporate changes from Masamichi Hosoda <trueroad@trueroad.jp>
to properly handle signature in the following ways:
  - Always represent /Contents in a signature dictionary as a hex
    string
  - Do not compress signature dictionaries when generating object
    streams
  - Do not encrypt/decrypt the /Contents field of the signature
dictionary when creating or reading encrypted files

* Incorporate changes from Masamichi Hosoda <trueroad@trueroad.jp>
to add additional methods for making it possible to gain deeper
insight into cross reference tables and object renumbering. These
new API calls make it possible for applications to go into PDF
files created by qpdf and make changes to them that go beyond
working with the PDF at the object level. The specific use case
for these changes was to write an external tool to perform digital
signature, but there could be other uses as well. New methods
include the following, all of which are described in their
respective headers:
  - QPDF::getXRefTable()
  - QPDFObjectHandle::getParsedOffset()
  - QPDFWriter::getRenumberedObjGen(QPDFObjGen)
  - QPDFWriter::getWrittenXRefTable()

zbar: Import zbar-0.23 as graphics/zbar

ZBar is an open source software suite for reading bar codes from various
sources, such as video streams, image files and raw intensity sensors. It
supports many popular symbologies (types of bar codes) including
EAN-13/UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5 and QR
Code.

The flexible, layered implementation facilitates bar code scanning and
decoding for any application: use it stand-alone with the included GUI and
command line programs, easily integrate a bar code scanning widget into
your Qt, GTK+ or PyGTK GUI application, leverage one of the script or
programming interfaces (Python, Perl, C++) ...all the way down to a
streamlined C library suitable for embedded use.

Packaged in pkgsrc-wip by myself and <ng0>.

abiword & abiword-plugins: fix builds

As of 3.0.3, Abiword's configure.ac now depends on macros provided by

Change log:

* Noteworthy changes in release 2019.01.06 (2019-01-06) [stable]

The Autoconf Archive now has its own organization on Github. Therefore, the
mirror has moved to https://github.com/autoconf-archive/autoconf-archive. The
  old location, https://github.com/peti/autoconf-archive redirects there.

The macro AX_CODE_COVERAGE was modified to use AX_ADD_AM_MACRO_STATIC,
and thus unfortunately usage was changed.

* Noteworthy changes in release 2018.03.13 (2018-03-13) [stable]

The macros AX_R_PACKAGE and AX_PROG_DATE have been added. Many other macros
  have received updates.

* Noteworthy changes in release 2017.09.28 (2017-09-28) [stable]

  The macros AX_PROG_HELP2MAN, AX_RECURSIVE_EVAL, AX_SUBDIRS_CONFIGURE,
AX_ELISP, and AX_PROG_EMACS have been added.

Various macros have received updates. Please check the ChangeLog file or the
history of the git repository for further details.

* Noteworthy changes in release 2017.03.21 (2017-03-21) [stable]

  Obsolete macros AX_CXX_COMPILER_VENDOR, AX_GCC_LIBRARIES_DIR, AX_GCC_VERSION,
and AX_HAVE_OPENGL have been removed from the archive.

AX_DEFINE_SUB_PATH has been marked obsolete as suggested in
  https://github.com/peti/autoconf-archive/pull/97.

py-sqlalchemy: updated to 1.3.11

Release 1.3.11 has a significant number of bug fixes across all areas as well as new use case additions. While it is a "point release", it contains a few use case additions that amount to new features, as they are needed sooner than the 1.4 series will be ready. This includes new scalar accessors for JSON index expressions that work across all JSON-supporting backends as well as cross-dialect support for the "GENERATED ALWAYS AS" SQL construct, which allows for an automatically updated expression to be established within DDL in the database server.

doc: Updated textproc/ripgrep to 11.0.2

(minskim)

2019-12-03 16:34:29 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

textproc/ripgrep: Update to 11.0.2

Breaking changes since 0.10.0:

- ripgrep has tweaked its exit status codes to be more like GNU
grep's. Namely, if a non-fatal error occurs during a search, then
ripgrep will now always emit a 2 exit status code, regardless of
whether a match is found or not.  Previously, ripgrep would only
emit a 2 exit status code for a catastrophic error (e.g., regex
syntax error). One exception to this is if ripgrep is run with
-q/--quiet. In that case, if an error occurs and a match is found,
then ripgrep will exit with a 0 exit status code.

- Supplying the -u/--unrestricted flag three times is now equivalent
to supplying --no-ignore --hidden --binary. Previously, -uuu was
equivalent to --no-ignore --hidden --text. The difference is that
--binary disables binary file filtering without potentially dumping
binary data into your terminal. That is, rg -uuu foo should now be
  equivalent to grep -r foo.

- The avx-accel feature of ripgrep has been removed since it is no
longer necessary. All uses of AVX in ripgrep are now enabled
automatically via runtime CPU feature detection. The simd-accel
feature does remain available (only for enabling SIMD for
transcoding), however, it does increase compilation times
  substantially at the moment.

See the release announcement for the complete list.

getbalances returns an object with all balances (mine, untrusted_pending and immature). Please refer to the RPC help of getbalances for details. The new RPC is intended to replace getbalance, getunconfirmedbalance, and the balance fields in getwalletinfo. These old calls and fields may be removed in a future version.

setwalletflag sets and unsets wallet flags that enable or disable features specific to that existing wallet, such as the new avoid_reuse feature documented elsewhere in these release notes.

getblockfilter gets the BIP158 filter for the specified block. This RPC is only enabled if block filters have been created using the -blockfilterindex configuration option.

New settings

-blockfilterindex enables the creation of BIP158 block filters for the entire blockchain. Filters will be created in the background and currently use about 4 GiB of space. Note: this version of Bitcoin Core does not serve block filters over the P2P network, although the local user may obtain block filters using the getblockfilter RPC.
Updated settings

whitebind and whitelist now accept a list of permissions to provide peers connecting using the indicated interfaces or IP addresses. If no permissions are specified with an address or CIDR network, the implicit default permissions are the same as previous releases. See the bitcoind -help output for these two options for details about the available permissions.

Users setting custom dbcache values can increase their setting slightly without using any more real memory. Recent changes reduced the memory use by about 9% and made chainstate accounting more accurate (it was underestimating the use of memory before). For example, if you set a value of "450" before, you may now set a value of "500" to use about the same real amount of memory.

Updated RPCs

Note: some low-level RPC changes mainly useful for testing are described in the Low-level Changes section below.

sendmany no longer has a minconf argument. This argument was not well-specified and would lead to RPC errors even when the wallet's coin selection succeeded. Users who want to influence coin selection can use the existing -spendzeroconfchange, -limitancestorcount, -limitdescendantcount and -walletrejectlongchains configuration arguments.

getbalance and sendtoaddress, plus the new RPCs getbalances and createwallet, now accept an "avoid_reuse" parameter that controls whether already used addresses should be included in the operation. Additionally, sendtoaddress will avoid partial spends when avoid_reuse is enabled even if this feature is not already enabled via the -avoidpartialspends command line flag because not doing so would risk using up the "wrong" UTXO for an address reuse case.

RPCs which have an include_watchonly argument or includeWatching option now default to true for watch-only wallets. Affected RPCs are: getbalance, listreceivedbyaddress, listreceivedbylabel, listtransactions, listsinceblock, gettransaction, walletcreatefundedpsbt, and fundrawtransaction.

listunspent now returns a "reused" bool for each output if the wallet flag "avoid_reuse" is enabled.

getblockstats now uses BlockUndo data instead of the transaction index, making it much faster, no longer dependent on the -txindex configuration option, and functional for all non-pruned blocks.

utxoupdatepsbt now accepts a descriptors parameter that will fill out input and output scripts and keys when known. P2SH-witness inputs will be filled in from the UTXO set when a descriptor is provided that shows they're spending segwit outputs. See the RPC help text for full details.

sendrawtransaction and testmempoolaccept no longer accept a allowhighfees parameter to fail mempool acceptance if the transaction fee exceeds the value of the configuration option -maxtxfee. Now there is a hardcoded default maximum feerate that can be changed when calling either RPC using a maxfeerate parameter.

getmempoolancestors, getmempooldescendants, getmempoolentry, and getrawmempool no longer return a size field unless the configuration option -deprecatedrpc=size is used. Instead a new vsize field is returned with the transaction's virtual size (consistent with other RPCs such as getrawtransaction).

getwalletinfo now includes a scanning field that is either false (no scanning) or an object with information about the duration and progress of the wallet's scanning historical blocks for transactions affecting its balances.

gettransaction now accepts a third (boolean) argument verbose. If set to true, a new decoded field will be added to the response containing the decoded transaction. This field is equivalent to RPC decoderawtransaction, or RPC getrawtransaction when verbose is passed.

createwallet accepts a new passphrase parameter. If set, this will create the new wallet encrypted with the given passphrase. If unset (the default) or set to an empty string, no encryption will be used.

getchaintxstats RPC now returns the additional key of window_final_block_height.

getmempoolentry now provides a weight field containing the transaction weight as defined in BIP141.

The getnetworkinfo and getpeerinfo commands now contain a new field with decoded network service flags.

getdescriptorinfo now returns an additional checksum field containing the checksum for the unmodified descriptor provided by the user (that is, before the descriptor is normalized for the descriptor field).

joinpsbts now shuffles the order of the inputs and outputs of the resulting joined PSBT. Previously, inputs and outputs were added in the order PSBTs were provided. This made it easy to correlate inputs to outputs, representing a privacy leak.

walletcreatefundedpsbt now signals BIP125 Replace-by-Fee if the -walletrbf configuration option is set to true.

GUI changes

The GUI wallet now provides bech32 addresses by default. The user may change the address type during invoice generation using a GUI toggle, or the default address type may be changed with the -addresstype configuration option.

In 0.18.0, a ./configure flag was introduced to allow disabling BIP70 support in the GUI (support was enabled by default). In 0.19.0, this flag is now disabled by default. If you want to compile Bitcoin Core with BIP70 support in the GUI, you can pass --enable-bip70 to ./configure.

Deprecated or removed configuration options

-mempoolreplacement is removed, although default node behavior remains the same. This option previously allowed the user to prevent the node from accepting or relaying BIP125 transaction replacements. This is different from the remaining configuration option -walletrbf.
Deprecated or removed RPCs

bumpfee no longer accepts a totalFee option unless the configuration parameter deprecatedrpc=totalFee is specified. This parameter will be fully removed in a subsequent release.

bumpfee has a new fee_rate option as a replacement for the deprecated totalFee.

generate is now removed after being deprecated in Bitcoin Core 0.18. Use the generatetoaddress RPC instead.

P2P changes

BIP 61 reject messages were deprecated in v0.18. They are now disabled by default, but can be enabled by setting the -enablebip61 command line option. BIP 61 reject messages will be removed entirely in a future version of Bitcoin Core.

To eliminate well-known denial-of-service vectors in Bitcoin Core, especially for nodes with spinning disks, the default value for the -peerbloomfilters configuration option has been changed to false. This prevents Bitcoin Core from sending the BIP111 NODE_BLOOM service flag, accepting BIP37 bloom filters, or serving merkle blocks or transactions matching a bloom filter. Users who still want to provide bloom filter support may either set the configuration option to true to re-enable both BIP111 and BIP37 support or enable just BIP37 support for specific peers using the updated -whitelist and -whitebind configuration options described elsewhere in these release notes. For the near future, lightweight clients using public BIP111/BIP37 nodes should still be able to connect to older versions of Bitcoin Core and nodes that have manually enabled BIP37 support, but developers of such software should consider migrating to either using specific BIP37 nodes or an alternative transactio
n filtering system.

By default, Bitcoin Core will now make two additional outbound connections that are exclusively used for block-relay. No transactions or addr messages will be processed on these connections. These connections are designed to add little additional memory or bandwidth resource requirements but should make some partitioning attacks more difficult to carry out.

Miscellaneous CLI Changes

The testnet field in bitcoin-cli -getinfo has been renamed to chain and now returns the current network name as defined in BIP70 (main, test, regtest).

security/clamav: update to 0.102.1

Update clamav to 0.102.1.

## 0.102.1

ClamAV 0.102.1 is a security patch release to address the following issues.

- Fix for the following vulnerability affecting 0.102.0 and 0.101.4 and prior:
  - [CVE-2019-15961](https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2019-15961)
A Denial-of-Service (DoS) vulnerability may occur when scanning a specially
crafted email file as a result of excessively long scan times. The issue is
resolved by implementing several maximums in parsing MIME messages and by
    optimizing use of memory allocation.

- Build system fixes to build clamav-milter, to correctly link with libxml2 when
detected, and to correctly detect fanotify for on-access scanning feature
  support.

- Signature load time is significantly reduced by changing to a more efficient
algorithm for loading signature patterns and allocating the AC trie.
  Patch courtesy of Alberto Wu.

- Introduced a new configure option to statically link libjson-c with libclamav.
Static linking with libjson is highly recommended to prevent crashes in
applications that use libclamav alongside another JSON parsing library.

- Null-dereference fix in email parser when using the `--gen-json` metadata
  option.

- Fixes for Authenticode parsing and certificate signature (.crb database) bugs.

Special thanks to the following for code contributions and bug reports:

pkgtools/pkglint: update to 19.3.13

Changes since 19.3.12:

The command line option -Wspace has been removed. Warnings and notes
about whitespace are now generated by default and cannot be switched
off. This is to ensure a consistent visual appearance of the package
Makefiles.

Shell programs that are indented unnecessarily deep generate a note by
default now. Before, the option -Wall was necessary to get these notes.

The check for unintended comments in multi-line shell programs is now
enabled again. It had been disabled some time ago as byproduct of a bug
fix in the shell parser.

The check for unique buildlink3 package identifiers now also works if
pkglint is run from a package directory instead of the pkgsrc root
directory.

2019-12-02 16:42:14 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to 20190914.0. From the changelog:

- Fixed typos in base.pod and recipes.pod
- Remove re-prompting for port when an invalid service name was
supplied. Just error and exit instead
- Cleaning up error messages that contained extra newlines
- Remove interactive prompts for helo and from when hostname
cannot be determined internally.  Just error instead.
- Rearrange internal option definition structure in preparation
  for major rework
- Rework how the --show-time-lapse option is tracked internally
  and displayed in --dump output
- --protocol's argument was incorrectly marked as optional
- Updating copyright year to 2019
- --use-old-data-tokens was not completely removed, clean up
- --tls-optional-strict was incorrectly marked internally as
  optionally accepting an argument
- Fix handling of --option=arg option format which prevented it
from being used with --header and --attach* options
- --attach option processing was calling die() instead of
  ptrans/exit on error
- If the arg to --data looks like a file but is not openable,
error and exit instead of using it the file name as the raw
  data value
- Add %NEWLINE% as a new --data token
- Small code tidy around %DATE% token replacement
- Enforce key=value format for arguments to --auth-extra and
  --auth-map
- Clarify how XCLIENT arguments are grouped in --xclient doc
- Typo in documentation for --ehlo, reported by Konstantin Stephan
- Adding data and dot as valid --drop-after-send and --drop-after
  arguments
- Add documentation for missing --quit-after synonym STARTTLS
- Update copyright year to 2019
- --copy-routing should error when no argument given.
- Add validation to --proxy-family (when proxy-version=1) and
  --proxy-version options.
- Turn off option bundling. No practical use and it could cause
real confusion (with bundling turned on, -foobar was "-f oobar"
  instead of an unknown option.
- Turn on case-sensitivity for configuration options.  Needed to
make -S distinct from -s, as documented.
- Add a flag for --dump-mail in the OUTPUT section of --dump
- --version and --help should work even if they aren't the very
  first option.
- When processing config file options with no leading '-' and any
environment variable config, prefix the option with '--' for
processing, not '-'. Bandaid for very minor difference between
'-' and '--' option processing which I hope to fix soon.
- Adding an ENVIRONMENT VARIABLES section to the doc.
- Tidying and clarifying the OPTION PROCESSING section of the docs.
- Fix bug causing in "no-" option processing to work unreliably.
- Document the unreliability of using environment variables to unset
other environment variable options with the "no-" prefix.
- Document the general rule that when processing duplicate options,
the last option specified wins, both inter- and intra-method.
- Since there is no inherent order to options provided in environment
variables, sort them before processing to define an order.
- Config file fixes around searching default $SWAKS_HOME, $HOME,
  and $LOGDIR locations:
    - Searching default locations for the first existing
PATH/.swaksrc did not actually work as documented.
    - If none of the default search environment variables was set,
Swaks would not process the "portable" defaults optionally
stored in the actual swaks script.
- Implement --body-attach option to allow more granularity in
setting body information (different mime types, alternatives, etc).
- Fix --attach* option processing to remove possibly ambiguity
- Fix issue with malformed headers.  Don't fall over if header
doesn't contain a colon or looks like an illegal continuation.
- Doc fix for default body - %SWAKS_VERSION% missing trailing char.
- --add-header documentation was still referencing a single-char,
no longer valid, replacement token. Replace with the correct token.

py-django2: updated to 2.2.8

2.2.8:
* CVE-2019-19118: Privilege escalation in the Django admin.
* Fixed a data loss possibility in the admin changelist view when a custom formsets prefix contains regular expression special characters, e.g. $.
* Fixed a regression in Django 2.2.1 that caused a crash when migrating permissions for proxy models with a multiple database setup if the default entry was empty.
* Fixed a data loss possibility in the select_for_update(). When using 'self' in the of argument with multi-table inheritance, a parent model was locked instead of the querysets model
