2020-05-25 08:42:05 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

pkgin: Update to 20.5.1.

This is quite a disruptive change, but has been tested in various ways across
Darwin, Minix, and SmartOS, so I'm reasonably confident I caught most issues.

With the switch to automake the pkgsrc Makefile has been able to be simplified
a lot, and I also took the opportunity to remove the mostly useless MESSAGE
file.

## Version 20.5.1 (2020-05-25)

* Improve make portability.

## Version 20.5.0 (2020-05-25)

* Switch to automake and overhaul mandatory configure options.
* Remove unused code and pointless configure tests, cleaning up includes
  and headers where appropriate.
* New version number scheme (yy.m.x).  The previous scheme had no relevance,
  this one at least gives users some clue about how up-to-date their version
  is.

This helps bootstrapping on legacy systems where the compiler doesn't
default to c99 without additional guidance.

and on IRIX with mipspro by ky0ko.

* VERSION (_MAKE_VERSION): 20200418

* configure.in: use_makefile=no for cygwin et al.
case insensitive filesystems just don't work if both
makefile and Makefile exist.
NOTE: bmake does not support cygwin and likely never will,
but if brave souls want to try it - help them out.

* VERSION (_MAKE_VERSION): 20200402
Merge with NetBSD make, pick up

* VERSION: 20200121
Merge with NetBSD make, pick up
o filemon/filemon_{dev,ktrace}.c: allow selection of
  filemon implementation.  filemon_dev.c uses the kernel module
  while filemon_ktrace.c leverages the fktrace api available in

* configure.in: add --without-makefile to avoid generating
  makefile and make-bootstrap.sh

* include Makefile.inc if it exists

* Use Makefile and Makefile.config.in in unit-tests
  so we can use just: make obj && make && make test
  when bmake is already available.
  We add --without-makefile to CONFIGURE_ARGS in this case.

* tweak bsd.after-import.mk (captures Makefile.config etc
  after import to FreeBSD for example) to cope with all the above.

  o job.c: skip polling job token pipe

2018-04-05  Simon J. Gerraty  <sjg@bad.crufty.net>

* VERSION: 20180405
  Merge with NetBSD make, pick up

    so that VAR_CMD is handled correctly.
    Add a suitable unit-test.

2017-11-26  Simon J. Gerraty  <sjg@bad.crufty.net>

* VERSION (_MAKE_VERSION): 20171126

* aclocal.m4: use AC_LINK_IFELSE for AC_C___ATTRIBUTE__
  since AC_TRY_COMPILE puts input inside main()
  which upsets modern compilers.

2017-11-18  Simon J. Gerraty  <sjg@bad.crufty.net>

* VERSION: 20171118
  Merge with NetBSD make, pick up
  o var.c: do not append to variable set on command line

2017-08-10  Simon J. Gerraty  <sjg@bad.crufty.net>

* Makefile (_MAKE_VERSION): 20170810
  Merge with NetBSD make, pick up
  o meta.c: if target is in subdir we only need subdir name in
    meta_name.

2017-07-20  Simon J. Gerraty  <sjg@bad.crufty.net>

* Makefile (_MAKE_VERSION): 20170720
  Merge with NetBSD make, pick up
  o compat.c: pass SIGINT etc onto child and wait for it to exit
    before we self-terminate.

2017-07-11  Simon J. Gerraty  <sjg@bad.crufty.net>

* Makefile (_MAKE_VERSION): 20170711
  forgot to update after merge on 20170708 ;-)
  o main.c: refactor to reduce size of main function.
    add -v option to always fully expand values.
  o meta.c: ensure command output in meta file has ending newline
    even when filemon not being used.
    When matching ${.MAKE.META.IGNORE_PATTERNS} do not use
    pathname via ':L' since any ':' in pathname breaks that.

doc: Updated mail/qmail to 1.03nb49

(schmonz)

2020-05-23 20:50:02 UTC MAIN commitmail json YAML

Update to notqmail 1.08 (as qmail-1.03nb49). From the changelog:

## Fix bugs

- Vulnerabilities we've inherited from qmail 1.03, reported by Qualys.
    - CVE-2005-1515: fix signedness wraparound in `substdio_{put,bput}()`.
    - CVE-2005-1514: fix possible signed integer overflow in `commands()`.
    - CVE-2005-1513: fix integer overflow in `stralloc_readyplus()`.
    - Fix several other places where variables could overflow.
- `qmail-pop3d`: instead of running as root if root authenticates (and
  being a vector for a dictionary attack on the root password), exit 1
  to look just like a failed `checkpassword` login.
- `qmail-inject`: do not parse header recipients if `-a` is given.
- Correctly detect multiple IP addresses on the same interface.
- Remove workaround for ancient DNS servers that do not properly
  support CNAME.
- Fix possible integer overflow in `alloc()`.

## Reduce bug likelihood

- Remove `dnscname` and `dnsmxip` programs that were being built but not
  installed.
- Remove `systype` and related platform detection.
- Remove unused variable in `maildir.c`.
- Reduce variable scope in `tcpto.c`.
- Avoid local variables shadowing same-named globals.
- Avoid needing `exit.h` in named-pipe bug check.
- Add a `test` target and some unit tests, using Check.
- Add missing function declarations in `cdbmss.h`, `scan.h`.
- Add missing return types to `main()`.
- Add `hier.h` for inclusion in `instcheck.c`, `instchown.c`, `instpackage.c`.
- Use system headers and types instead of the `HASSHORTSETGROUPS` check.
- Use system headers instead of redeclaring `exit()`, `read()`,
  `write()`, `malloc()`, `free()`, `fork()`, `uint32_t`.
- Use C89 function signatures for code we've touched so far.
- Automated builds:
    - TravisCI: move setting `MAKEFLAGS` out of the script and into
      the matrix.
    - Add FreeBSD builds with CirrusCI.
    - Add a GitHub Actions build.

## Other changes

- Remove DJB's TODO.
- Replace many `pobox.com` URLs.
- Acknowledge Erik Sj旦lund's `qmail-local.c` bugfix that we've
  inherited from netqmail.
- Avoid generating catted manpages by building with `NROFF=true`.
- Optionally create a `systemd` service file.
- Run an alternate `qmail-remote` by setting `QMAILREMOTE` in
  `qmail-send`'s environment.

## Intent to remove

In the course of developing this release, we found programs that we
intend to remove in the next release. We believe none of these remains
necessary or useful enough to be worth the cost of maintaining. If you
disagree, please let us know!

- Remove `qsmhook`, long since replaced by `preline`.
- Remove inefficient `maildirwatch`.
- Remove obsolete mail client wrappers.
- Remove `qmail-pop3d`, since Maildir is well supported by actively
  maintained POP3 servers.

py-pypika: added version 0.37.6

PyPika is a Python API for building SQL queries. The motivation behind PyPika
is to provide a simple interface for building SQL queries without limiting the
flexibility of handwritten SQL. Designed with data analysis in mind, PyPika
leverages the builder design pattern to construct queries to avoid messy string
formatting and concatenation. It is also easily extended to take full advantage
of specific features of SQL database vendors.

audio/din: Updates to 47

Minor description fix.

Changes since 46.3:

DIN Is Noise 47 @ Chennai, India
+ Menu > Drone Params now split into 3 tabs:
+ Modulation:
+ has controls to edit drone modulation parameters like AM/FM depth, BPM
+ Visual:
+ has controls to edit drone trail length, handle size,
connection stiffness (see below), colors (see below) etc
+ Motion:
+ controls to edit drone parameters like velocity, acceleration,
drones per minute, lifetime etc

+ On the mouse slider
+ when you can slide both horizontally and vertically:
+ press SHIFT to slide just vertically
+ press CTRL to slide just horizontally

/* connect and disconnect drones
+ Workflow:
+ select a bunch of drones (eg., Menu > Drone Tools > Select all drones)
+ Menu > Drone Tools > Connect
+ DIN connects drones in selection order
+ points one drone to next
+ last drone points in the direction second last drone points

+ To select drones in desired order, select drones one at a time by
click+moving a box around a drone and use SHIFT / CTRL keys while
selecting to add to existing selection or remove a drone from selection

+ Steps @ 1 connects drones successively, this is default
Steps @ 2 connects alternate drones
Steps @ 1 2 does both
try other steps sequences:
eg., 1 3 5 OR 1 2 4 etc
!note! separate steps with SPACE not comma

+ Just select a drone and move (Menu > Drone Tools > Move) and all the
connected drones move to keep their original distance on connection.

'But then one lizard (or iguana) moved, and all moved'
- VS Naipaul, Among the Believers

+ Use Connection Stiffness parameter to control the 'elasticity' of
the connections (Menu > Drone Params > Visual)
+ This is a global parameter, affects all connections among all drones
+ Menu > Drone Tools > Disconnect to disconnect the connected drones
+ Select a drone in the middle of a chain and disconnect splits the chain in two
+ Select the 'head' drones of two different chains and connect to merge the two
chains into one

/* new curve & curve editor to sculpt amplitude (aka depth) & bpm of
drone pendulum's drones
+ access using Menu > Editors > Drone Pendulum
+ edit curves even after creating drone pendulums!
+ affects drone pendulums selected drones belong to
+ use Menu > Overlay Instrument on the editor to see the effects of the
edits while making them.

/* new color sliders to set the color of selected drones
+ 2 sets of 3 sliders (1 for Red, Green and Blue).
+ Top set called Top
+ Bottom set called Bottom
+ Select some drones and
+ change color to Top to set color of all selected drones to the RGB of Top sliders
+ change color to Bottom to set color of all selected drones to RGB of Bottom sliders
+ change color to Blend to set color of all selected drones to RGB blended from Top to Bottom sliders
+ first selected drone color is from the Top sliders
+ last selected drone is from the Bottom sliders
+ other drones take inbetween colors

+ To select drones in desired order, select drones one at a time by click+moving a box
around a drone and use SHIFT / CTRL keys while selecting to add or remove drone to an
existing selection

+ change color to Random to set random colors on all selected drones
+ not truly random but a random color between RGB of Top and Bottom sliders
+ useful as colors are random but still from a certain part of the spectrum

+ If drones are noise, their color is grayscale, derived from just the Red channel of Top
and/or/both Bottom sliders, based on the chosen scheme.
+ If you edit a color slider, DIN hides the menu so you can see the edits better, hit ESC or click on Close
to finish/abort

/* abort octave shift
+ useful to take the key note away from 'piano notes' into 'weird' pitches yet still have 'scales' based on
this new key 'note'.
+ without Abort this was still possible by editing the octave shift curve
(Menu > Editors > Octave Shift)
+ to set the key back to a note, goto Settings screen and use the Key spinner
+ click Menu > Misc > Abort on Microtonal-Keyboard, Mondrian and Binaural Drones instruments
+ or press SHIFT + ESC
+ click Abort button on Keyboard-Keyboard
+ or press n

/* edit arrow width, depth for each drone
+ until DIN46, this was global
+ very useful for snake/centepede like visualisations of connected drones

* scale drones
* press CTRL to scale along horizontal
* press SHIFT to scale along vertical

+ moved Scale, Rotate drones to join Move in Menu > Drone Tools
+ SHIFT + e to scale selected drones
+ CTRL + e to rotate selected drones

audacity: Update to 2.4.1

Changes in version 2.4.1:

Critical Bug Fix:
* Audacity 2.4.0 was released with a critical bug, (Bug 2436),
  which is fixed in 2.4.1.  The bug caused loss of data when using two projects at the same time.

Improvements

* Audacity now runs on Mac Catalina.
* A new Time Toolbar showing current record/playback time has been
  split from the Selection Toolbar.  It can be resized large.
* Presets for more effects can be imported and exported.
* A new Multi-View mode for tracks.  In this mode both
  spectrogram and waveform views are shown at the same time.
* Opus available as a new audio export format on Windows and Linux.
* Easier to convert labels between point labels and range labels.
* New Loudness Normalization effect.
* New RMS measurement analyzer.
* New Noise Gate effect.
* New Spectral Delete effect.

See also: https://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/New_features_in_Audacity_2.4.1

Bug Fixes

Over 100 bugs in 2.3.3 fixed, including:

* 2237 - Equalization effects have no Import or Export for curves
* 2261 - Graphic EQ sliders have no frequency labels
* 2265 - Track heights are reset to default on project re-opening
* 2303 - Playback does not start at the saved cursor position on reopening a saved project.
* 2314 - Zoom in fail when playing

qemu: Do not duplicate already existing configure nvmm test in pkgsrc Makefile

configure already had the logic to gracefully test for nvmm and if the
corresponding nvmm variable is set to an empty string do that.

No functional nor binary change intended except a CONFIGURE_ARGS difference.

Fixes PR pkg/55049.

Thanks Yasushi Oshima for reporting this problem, sharing an initial
patch and further testing the version committed now!

openssl: Unbreak Darwin installs after --libdir change.

Adding --libdir seems innocuous enough, but due to OpenSSL's crazy complicated
build system actually results in LIBDIR becoming unset, which trickles down to
the Darwin -install_name being wrong.  This broke the 'openssl' command and
thus many many dependencies.

Switch to $(libdir) instead which appears to still be set correctly.

Add better argument formatting on CALL_FUNCTION and MAKE_FUNCTION
bytecode.py now has distb
opcode modules now have variable python_implementation which is either "CPython" or "PyPY"
Reformat a number of files using blacken, and lint using flymake
Update __init__.py exports based on what is used in projects uncompyle6, decompyle3, trepan3k,

py-tortoise-orm: added version 0.16.12

Tortoise ORM is an easy-to-use asyncio ORM (Object Relational Mapper) inspired
by Django.

Tortoise ORM was build with relations in mind and admiration for the excellent
and popular Django ORM. It's engraved in it's design that you are working not
with just tables, you work with relational data.

py-ciso8601: added version 2.1.3

ciso8601 converts ISO 8601 or RFC 3339 date time strings into Python datetime
objects. Since it's written as a C module, it is much faster than other Python
libraries.

py-aiounittest: added version 1.3.1

The aiounittest is a helper library to ease of your pain (and boilerplate),
when writing a test of the asynchronous code (asyncio). You can test:
* synchronous code (same as the unittest.TestCase)
* asynchronous code, it supports syntax with async/await (Python 3.5+) and
  asyncio.coroutine/yield from (Python 3.4)

sqlite3: updated to 3.32.0

SQLite Release 3.32.0:

Added support for approximate ANALYZE using the PRAGMA analysis_limit command.
Added the bytecode virtual table.
Add the checksum VFS shim to the set of run-time loadable extensions included in the source tree.
Added the iif() SQL function.
INSERT and UPDATE statements now always apply column affinity before computing CHECK constraints. This bug fix could, in theory, cause problems for legacy databases with unorthodox CHECK constraints the require the input type for an INSERT is different from the declared column type. See ticket 86ba67afafded936 for more information.
Added the sqlite3_create_filename(), sqlite3_free_filename(), and sqlite3_database_file_object() interfaces to better support of VFS shim implementations.
Increase the default upper bound on the number of parameters from 999 to 32766.
Added code for the UINT collating sequence as an optional loadable extension.
Enhancements to the CLI:
Add options to the .import command: --csv, --ascii, --skip
The .dump command now accepts multiple LIKE-pattern arguments and outputs the union of all matching tables.
Add the .oom command in debugging builds
Add the --bom option to the .excel, .output, and .once commands.
Enhance the .filectrl command to support the --schema option.
The UINT collating sequence extension is automatically loaded
The ESCAPE clause of a LIKE operator now overrides wildcard characters, so that the behavior now matches what PostgreSQL does.
